Hello everyone!

How are you doing during these dire times? I hope you’re all safe <3 

I’m sorry for all this inactivity and miss working on this project so much :(  If you’re still here, following EXO x Heroes I’m so happy and thankful and wish to share regularly new content with you.

Everything is always changing and taking unexpected turns and I have so much regret regarding the state of EXO x Heroes and other things. I’m now working on a commercial project and hoping I can continue making games at least part-time because making them independently is very time-consuming and expensive. Especially fanprojects like this one. But! Dreams should be fulfilled even if it takes a veeeery looong time~

If you’re still here please let me know your thoughts - are you doing well? Do you still want this game? Anything else that comes to mind?  <3

Wow it's been a while since I've seen this blog what platform is this game going to be on??

It’s been looong but that’s in the past!

Desktops with Windows for now + may expand to other platforms later.

Next video is AGAIN, flagged. This time Chen’s chest was accidentally partly revealed in its low-poly glory. I’m sorry for this poorly handled texture wardrobe malfunction!

can you explain the new names and why you chose them (some of them are obvious, but why not)? (welcome back!)

Sure thing and thank you! New names were chosen for a number of reasons, to name the most prominent:

1) The 6 nations have names taken from Old English and to match that a little better, the characters’ current names were taken mostly from Middle English (ME from now on). It’s a matter of stylization for the project.2) For BTS:LD the characters also have original names which each bears a number of meanings. Just through those names we are able to learn something about the characters.

Now, for the meanings of the names:Sehun → Sephyr [stylized “zephyr”, his element]Kai → Shadwe [ME “shadow”, his assassin identity]DO → Dyo [stays the same]Chanyeol → Fyre [ME “fire”, his element]Baekhyun → Blak [ME “black”, everyone knows why]Suho → Osyan [stylized “ocean”, his element]Tao → Void [should have been ME “voyd” but there are already too many “y”s, his element]Chen → Lixt [ME “lie”, sounds super cool]Lay → Rescus [ME “rescue”, his element]Kris → Ernest [ME “seriousness”, character trait]Luhan → Frenesye [ME “madness”, story stuff]Xiumin → Arwes [ME “arrows”, yep]

What’s New

Hey everyone!

First, thank you all so much for your warm welcome. you are absolutely lovely and amazing <3 A lot has happened during this super long hiatus so let’s get to it!

EXO × Heroes

- project resumed, finally! - name changes - all characters have original names now - these will be used in the game and are pretty cool!

- blog reconstruction - blog is undergoing a little reconstruction, all there is left to do is rework all pages - open positions - coming soon

STUDIO

- the final name of our online studio is HER.E - our official website is finally running [LINK] - HER.E will have different divisions - on BTS:LD it has been the Founder Division, for EXO × Heroes it is the HEROES Division - you can follow HER.E on Twitter @HERE_gamestudio - our Itch.io acc link (a page for indie game developers) - I am using a new nickname now - Scey

[RELEASED] Beyond The Senses: Lucid Dreamers (BTS:LD)

BTS:LD is a psychological retro game inspired by BTS. I have been working on it during the hiatus and it is a very dear project to me. I hope you will love it just as much!
