Honestly I think "Why doesn't Bruce Wayne use his money to fix Gotham instead of being Batman" is a pretty interesting question, because it allows you to analyze why certain writing choices are made, and how the evolving attitudes towards quote unquote 'crime' and 'criminals' has impacted superhero comics as a genre. But that gets ignored in favor of just saying "Um actually OP don't you know he DOES try to do that and it doesn't work?"

Sarah reading Laura Pinocchio when she didn't think Laura was a real person up until the last few hours of her life is so crazy and not even in the obvious way because the really important part to me there is. Sarah didn't think Laura was a person! She did not think Laura was a person with the internality to understand and comprehend this and want to be 'real'! Sarah didn't do that for Laura, she did that for herself. She also thought Laura was just a puppet.
