I think being in the outlast trials fandom has loosened me up a bit.

I think 2-3 years ago most of the characters, ships and dynamics in this game would’ve given me a heart attack.

Not to say I condone anything but it’s made me think: it’s just a game and obviously no one supports these things either, it’s just about enjoying complex or well written characters (well i should hope that’s the case lol).

Might just be to do with me maturing more now that I’m an adult; i’m kind of actively getting more first hand experience with these communities since i’m old enough to..

I’ll still draw the line at underaged or necrophilic ships because…leave minors and dead people out of this stuff yknow… but other “problematic ships” have stopped bothering me now.

This thought just occurred to me.

If you like arcane and don’t want to play League PLEASE PLAY DISHONOURED.

It’s an incredible game series, has a great story with play styles having consequence and influence on the ending or smaller details of the game.

The aesthetics are incredibly similar and it really brings that zaun / piltover feel depending on where you are. Even the art is lovely too.

Honestly can’t stress how good these games are, especially the first one. I have been a fan of these games since release and i will forever recommend them.

Okay so, i’m actually very surprised at how bigoted the Kress’ also are. From what i’ve gathered they’re very snobby about the poor and incredibly judgemental of the other prime assets. Just like an average old couple tbf

They make fun of coyle, slight admire franco because of the mafia but also find him annoying. (They did make a comment about him being italian like coyle would but they’re old people in the 1950s i’m not even shocked anymore) They don’t seem to speak overally nasty about these two but man…

the way they speak about gooseberry makes me so sad.

(some of their points about her are right but some of them are just incredibly nasty)

I do love their voice line about her not being free from her father. Shows how incredibly aware they are and i’m sure most of us thought that too.

Still sticking with my predictions about the other primes, maybe less hatred but i still can’t tell if coyle would like them or not

New trial had me absolutely shitting my pants.

Otto and Arora waste no time in perusing a chase and that ending sequence made me sweat balls.

I wish they did an intro though, maybe would’ve given a better chance to see their character. Also i felt the subtitles didn’t pick up as much :(

I do love the “Don’t you fucking touch my sister / my mount” line from both of them.

But again i felt like i barely heard them. Put them on a custom trial after and still barely heard them and obviously can’t get close enough due to the 360 vision and almost instant chase. hopefully somebody can extract the voice lines soon. (the other primes also don’t have voice lines about the them but they have some instead !)

Also i love how the enemies are affected by the poison gas, it does help sometimes lol

Lowkey at my last straw with some snobs in this fandom / interacting with the outlast fandom cuz i can’t believe im still seeing people argue over this, especially on tiktok.

So far we have:

Gooseberry: Imprisoned after going off the rails, marketing murder and drugs to children, and killing a police officer. Has some sort of dissociative disorder to cause her to manifest her heavily abusive father as an alter.

Franco: A mobster with a psychosexual mother baby fetish who’s been killing relentlessly since the age of 12, going absolutely nuts in cuba and continuing to kill numerous people before murkoff.

Otto and Arora Kress: A conjoined incest couple who became an infamous serial killer in Buffalo, targeting the homeless and prostitutes, Kept their mutilated father alive for DAYS, working along side murkoff (presumably) to create all sorts of nasty chemicals.

And somehow Coyle being a KKK member is the end of the world… Incredibly tame compared to other things him and the others have done.
