Execution Methods Survey
We are conducting a survey on which methods of execution are the most humane. Anyone who is able to confirm having established contact with the soul of a person who was successfully executed, please fill out this list by asking the executed person’s ghost the following (personal details only included to avoid duplication in the event that the same ghost is contacted and surveyed by more than one medium, or in the event that further clarification may be needed as regarding the details of how the execution method was carried out):
Name of Executed Person:
Place and Date of Execution:
Method of Execution:
Please Rate the Execution 0-5 where 0 represents “Painless” and 5 represents “Excruciating”
Please Rate the Execution 0-5 where 0 represents “Instantaneous” and 5 represents “Tortuous Slow”
Please Rate the Execution 0-5 where 0 represents “Recommend” and 5 represents “Please God, No”
Please Rate the Overall Perceived Humaneness of the Execution Method 0-5 where 0 represents “Completely Humane” and 5 represents “The Person Who Thought of This Method Should be Executed via the Same”
**Please append the name and Badge Number of the Registered Medium who conducted or certifies the spiritual contact with the Executed Person interviewed, and submit completed survey forms to your local chapter of the Universal Guild of Mediums.
(Please note that a separate, though corresponding, survey of UNSUCCESSFUL executions is being carried out among the incarcerated persons so concerned. Only include for submission in this survey responses from DECEASED persons who were executed)
(Also please note that the scope of this particular survey only includes INTENTIONAL, officially sentenced Execution as a means of death. Murder (including unofficial or unauthorized 'executions' by persons not holding any legal authority), Assassination (even if sanctioned by the state or one of its duly appointed agents), death in battle or brawl, acts of war or of nature or deities, all instances of 'self-defense' and accidental deaths are NOT to be included in this survey)

Headcanons for Claudius from German ghosts dealing with Easter considering the Easter story has an innocent man getting killed by Romans?
Hi! First of all, let me apologize for taking so long to reply. Hopefully you will still see this.
As for your question, hm. The Presselounge gives Claudius' year of death as 22 BC, which means Jesus actually died after him XD (ik ik, Jesus probably wasnt born in the year 0, etc, spare me) Back when Claudius was alive, Christianity was just a bunch of weirdos following a Jewish preacher/cult leader, not an established religion; I'm not even sure how well known it was outside of the Levant/in the broader Roman empire. Claudius was stationed at the very edge of it, and depending on his own interests, I doubt he would have heard much of it. It would probably have been a surprise to him to learn of the religion after it was established (when that was depends of course on your own headcanons & how many other ghosts you believe to have been there that have since ascended). i think he would have had very interesting conversations about religion with Griet - who obviously would have been raised in a very devoutly christian society. Imagine them discussing the actual Jesus of Nazareth, untapped comedic potential. As for the actual execution, crucifixion was a common method in the Roman empire, Claudius would probably still think this is normal (but has probably learned to not say that out loud in polite company lol).
Anyway, a lot of easter customs would probably be familiar to him, did you know coloured egg shells have been found in Roman graves? Maybe he'd think we paint eggs as symbolic grave goods. And anyway, fertility rites in spring are a staple of agricultural societies, it would be fun for all of them to sit around and compare easter rituals they remember from being alive.
But yeah, as for the crucifixion, he would probably be like "Yeah, obviously he wasn't a citizen, that's what you get" and everyone else would look at him like 😐😶
#XD#i think it would be so funny to lean more into this aspect of claudius#that he comes from a very very violent society literal millennia off from fancy bullshit like 'universal human rights'#& have him be a bit blasé abt corporal punishment and horrific execution methods#anonymaus#message#ard ghosts

Romanticizing Productivity (Minus the Burnout) 。𖦹°‧
@f1rst-l0vel4t3-spr1ng asked: hi angel!! how do you stay productive and out of procrastination cycles?
this is for the girls who feel like they’re falling behind but keep showing up anyway. ♡
✶ you are not lazy.
✶ you are not behind.
✶ you are a real person with a real nervous system, trying to do her best in a world that rewards burnout.
✶ give yourself grace. then give yourself a nap.
Plan your days ˚。・─౨♡ৎ─・。゚
When you know what you're doing, when, and how, life feels less overwhelming.
Use a planner
make a cute to-do list with time stamps & decorate it to encourage yourself to look at it
Personally, planning makes my day way easier, but sometimes even this isn't enough. You could literally just stare at your planner blankly and ignore it for the whole day.
The 4 Quarter Method
Quarter 1 (Morning): 6am-10am
Quarter 2 (Midday): 10am-2pm
Quarter 3 (Afternoon): 2pm-6pm
Quarter 4 (Evening): 6pm-9/10pm
Decide what you want to do in those spaces. And note that even if you need to start over, you don’t have to wait until tomorrow, literally just do it next quarter.
The 12-Week Year
Instead of viewing a year as a long 12-month stretch, you break it into shorter 12-week periods, treating each as a 'year'. This encourages you to focus and take action on your goals sooner, turning your long-term goals into short-term ones.
૮ ․ ․ ྀིა keeps motivation high and priorities clear
૮ ․ ․ ྀིა track progress and adjust as needed
૮ ․ ․ ྀིა keep your goals specific and measurable, breaking them down into weekly targets.
Be realistic ⭑.ᐟ
Don't overestimate your energy levels, and do not try to lie to yourself. Leave space for unpredictability.
Discipline over Motivation ˚。・─౨♡ৎ─・。゚
If you wait until you feel motivated to get things done, it’s unlikely that you actually will. So this is where discipline comes in because it provides more control and consistency. In other words, train yourself through building habits and routine to do what needs to be done, even if you don’t feel like doing it.
Choosing to do things you don’t like/want to right now for future you.
You literally have to choose the version of yourself you’d rather be over the version of you that you want to leave behind. Think about the future and think about whatever you wanna do. Imagine that person. Girl, that’s you and always will be as long as you take yourself seriously, as long as you are truthful to yourself, as long as you continuously choose to do whatever it takes not to be the opposite.
The Execution ˚。・─౨♡ৎ─・。゚
What about the things that lead to your goals? I like to create routines, habits and rituals because they make the tasks doable.
Build daily and weekly systems that you will automatically fall into (over time of course) for even when you don’t feel like it but you know you need to. These systems create habits.
。𖦹°‧ Morning/Night rituals/routines - structure the start and end of your day
。𖦹°‧ Study Rituals - your methods & what you do before, during and after matter
。𖦹°‧ Habit stacking - build new habits by attaching them to established routine.
。𖦹°‧ Reuse the 4 quarter method by planning each day's workload
The 2-Minute Method
If a habit feels too overwhelming, start with just two minutes - James Clear. The idea is to start small and build momentum over time.
‹𝟹 Wanna read more? Start with reading for two minutes.
‹𝟹 Wanna journal? Write a single sentence.
‹𝟹 Wanna study? Read the first paragraph/page.
Procrastination ˚。・─౨♡ৎ─・。゚
We all have procrastinated from time to time. It’s normal. It’s human. However, understanding why we do it can help us break out of it.
The leading causes of procrastination:
⤷ overestimating how much time we have
⤷ overestimating the motivation we’ll have in the future
⤷ underestimating how long tasks will take
⤷ thinking we need the right mindset to study
⤷ lack of energy
⤷ mental health challenges
How to fight it
୧ ‧₊˚ 🍮 ⋅ ☆ Create a distraction-free environment
₊ ⊹ Clear your desk, close unused tabs, put your phone out of reach.
୧ ‧₊˚ 🍮 ⋅ ☆ Use a to-do list (that’s realistic)
₊ ⊹ Break tasks into micro-steps.
୧ ‧₊˚ 🍮 ⋅ ☆ Reward yourself after completing an item on your list
₊ ⊹ Boosts mood and self-esteem, leading to the realization that your efforts result in a positive reward.
୧ ‧₊˚ 🍮 ⋅ ☆ Pay attention to thoughts of procrastination and resist the urge.
₊ ⊹ Gently challenge them
୧ ‧₊˚ 🍮 ⋅ ☆ Ask for help
₊ ⊹ Putting things off is normal for all of us, but it’s important to notice when something has gone/is going too far. Maybe you’re struggling to understand a concept, and that’s why, but that’s when you have to take the time to put yourself first and ask for help.
All you have to do is start. The first step is usually the hardest, and also the only one that matters the most.
Think you wasted the day away already? It’s the little things that count.
Do something right now.
Stretch, shower, brush your teeth, eat a meal, change your clothes, get some sun, read a page of a book. Starting something often leads me to wanting to continue. Instead of one page, I’ll read a chapter even though I said I’d only read a page, simply because the page turned out to be so interesting- then I think, ‘oh yeah, that's why I bought this book’.
Academic Burnout & Toxic productivity ˚。・─౨♡ৎ─・。゚
Just because you’re functioning doesn’t mean you’re okay.
I feel like this is way more common than acknowledged, and as a former academic girlie (until I hit a breaking point), I know it all too well. I didn’t even realize I was burnt out until it’d already messed me up. So… don’t be like me. But also, it’s okay if you are already because you can always redeem yourself even if it’s not through academics.
Signs of Burnout <3 !
˚₊‧꒰ა 𓂋 ໒꒱ ‧₊˚ Constant exhaustion — physically and mentally
⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚ Feeling sick, overwhelmed, or emotionally drained
˚₊‧꒰ა 𓂋 ໒꒱ ‧₊˚ Loss of confidence in your ability
⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚ Missing deadlines or avoiding work altogether
˚₊‧꒰ა 𓂋 ໒꒱ ‧₊˚ Feeling like you can’t absorb any information
⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚ Zoning out way more often than usual
˚₊‧꒰ა 𓂋 ໒꒱ ‧₊˚ Getting easily irritated or emotional
⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚ Feeling detached or negative about learning
how to avoid and recover from burnout <3 !
Rest is rest - when resting, don't do something draining like scrolling through your phone. Do something that’s meaningful to rest, a nap, eating, drinking water, meditating, just to rest your brain
Pay attention to how you feel and react to certain things to recognize the symptoms, do not ignore yourself.
Make time for fun and social activities - gives your brain a break, boosts energy, and can feel refreshing while also boosting creativity
Practice mindfulness - being present in the moment by going outside or meditating reduces stress and boosts emotional regulation
Get a lot of exercise, stay hydrated, and eat good quality food - improves sleep and increases energy levels
Set reasonable goals - don’t try to do everything at the same time or in one time frame, and know your limits
Keep your environment organized to feel organized and more at peace
Develop good relationships with your classmates and professors/teachers, so going to class doesn’t feel like a chore
Positive self-talk - encouraging yourself every day and reminding yourself you can do anything you put your mind to, because you can !
Stick to deadlines and avoid procrastination (more on the how-to-avoid side)
Changing the scenery helps more than you think
Have no more than 2 intense quarters per day.
Remember why you are doing this in the first place and if you can’t find a reason then you definitely have to think about if this is what you want to do and if you don’t, that may be the main cause of your burnout
Seek help through your support system (friends, family, therapist) or even me because i’m always here if you need to talk
Reality Check 𓂂 𓇼˚。 •
it’s literally not necessary to be working excessively hard, trying to find ways to sleep less to study/work more because it will cost you your mental, emotional and physical health.. and if you don’t have those.. there’s literally no point of doing anything. social media has glamorized toxic productivity so much that it’s an aesthetic. to be raw, slowly killing yourself isn’t cute. you’re a real person with real feelings and limits. you are not a brand packaging an ideal that is in no way real. and at the end of the day, grades don’t matter as much as you may currently believe they do. you have to choose to take care of yourself because no one else is going to do it for you.
Be efficient — study smarter, not harder ˚。・─౨♡ৎ─・。゚
Before you even touch a book:
‧₊˚ ☁️⋅♡ Stretch your body — it actually helps your brain engage
‧₊˚ ☁️⋅♡ Stay hydrated, eat quality foods, take your vitamins - fuel matters
‧₊˚ ☁️⋅♡ Plan your days - list assignments by date the moment you get your syllabus, then just check things off
Study Methods That actually Work:
˙ ✩°˖🥐 Flashcards - active recall is better than passive reading
˙ ✩°˖🍼 Try the Pomodoro Method - 25 mins work, 5 mins break
˙ ˙ ✩°˖🥐 Go on walks - movement helps with processing, memory & focus
˙ ✩°˖🍼 Reteach what you learned - out loud or to someone else (personally my plushies are my fav audience)
˙ ✩°˖🥐 Blurting method – write down everything you know from memory, then compare to your notes and fill in the gaps
˙ ✩°˖🍼 Sticky notes - great for reminders (esp in language learning - stick one onto a piece of furniture, with the translation on it)
˙ ✩°˖🥐 Mind map sheets – use a blank page and colored pens to create idea webs
˙ ✩°˖🍼 Annotate your notes - highlight, underline, scribble little thoughts in the margins, make it yours
✩°˖🥐 Practice - practice tests and past papers help you get used to the style of questions so you can be better prepared and confident in tests. They also help you identify any weaknesses in the topic so you can know what they are and work on them.
˙ ✩°˖🍼 Channel your inner study icon (Elle Woods) - cute outfit/pjs, brain on and ready
Just start. The momentum will come

Dialogue Strengthening Methods
Dialogue serves as the lifeblood of any narrative, offering readers a window into the minds, hearts, and souls of characters. When executed effectively, dialogue not only propels the plot forward but also deepens character development and fosters emotional engagement.
Authenticity through Observation
Authentic dialogue begins with keen observation of the world around us. As writers, we are avid listeners and astute observers, capturing the cadences, quirks, and real-life conversations. For example, in a bustling market scene, the rhythm of vendors haggling over prices or the melodic lilt of a street musician's banter adds depth and authenticity to the setting.
Character Voice
Just as no two individuals are alike, each character in a story possesses a unique voice that reflects their personality, background, and worldview. Crafting distinct voices involves delving deep into the psyche of each character, understanding their motivations, fears, and desires. Consider the contrast between a grizzled detective who speaks in terse, cynical phrases and a wide-eyed rookie whose speech is punctuated by eager enthusiasm. By infusing dialogue with these individual nuances, characters come alive, resonating with authenticity and depth.
Subtext
Beyond the surface level of spoken words lies a rich tapestry of subtext—unspoken thoughts, hidden agendas, and underlying emotions. Mastery of subtext allows writers to imbue dialogue with layers of meaning, inviting readers to decipher the unspoken truths that lie beneath. For instance, in a scene where a character offers a half-hearted apology, the tension between their words and body language hints at unresolved resentment or guilt. By harnessing the power of subtext, dialogue transcends mere communication, becoming a vehicle for nuanced storytelling and character development.
Showcasing Emotions
At its core, dialogue is a reflection of human emotion—joy, sorrow, anger, love. Capturing the emotional essence of a scene requires a delicate balance of words, tone, and context. Instead of explicitly stating characters' emotions, skilled writers show them through subtle cues—hesitant pauses, clenched fists, tearful eyes. Consider a scene where a parent confronts their child about a secret they've discovered; the trembling in their voice and the quiver of their lip betray a mixture of concern, disappointment, and love. By allowing emotions to permeate dialogue exchanges, writers forge a visceral connection with readers, eliciting empathy, laughter, and tears in equal measure.
Conflict and Tension
Dialogue thrives on conflict and tension, driving the narrative forward with relentless momentum. Whether it's a heated argument between lovers or a tense negotiation between rivals, conflict infuses dialogue with urgency and dynamism. Consider a scene where two political adversaries engage in a war of words, each vying for dominance and advantage. By pitting characters against each other, whether in overt clashes or subtle power struggles, writers create opportunities for growth and revelation.

Does the way my alien character disguises himself as a POC perpetuate harmful tropes?
Anonymous asks:
"Hi all! I'm a longtime follower, first time asker. There's something about my current story that feels a little sticky, and I haven't been able to find any applicable information on the blog. I'm working on a queer monster romance. The setting is a modern one with supernatural elements. One of the main characters is an alien refugee, and his species has an ability to possess corpses and retain some of the last soul's memories to disguise themselves. It's morbid, but it's supposed to be a story about monsters, and he doesn't do worse beyond that. I've read a lot of posts by Latinx and Jewish people talking about aliens on Earth as a metaphor for immigrants, with the struggle of adapting to a new culture and being separated from the one you were born into, and since my story takes place in Southern California, which has a large population of Mexican immigrants, I thought it made sense to make his ""host body"" Mexican. However, the more I think on it, I'm worried that his ""disguise"" method could be viewed as a violation of a brown body. I'm also concerned that he's just TOO monstrous, and could play into a harmful trope of making POC inhuman. The other main character is white and more visibly monstrous, and there are other POC who aren't monsters, but is it enough? Should my alien disguise himself in another way? I know mods aren't answering questions about Latino culture right now, but I think this is more about harmful tropes against POC in general. Thanks for reading."
I appreciate that your response is about the Mexican community rather than the Jewish community, but still take a look at Mod Shira’s post on Jewish Monster Characters Doing Harm as well as Monsters in General.
Consider the tension that your monsters create. As those posts suggested, could you swap out “monster” and replace it with “immigrant,” “Latine,” or "Mexican" and see real-world conflict? If so, then the story could be veering towards a metaphor for race-relations, despite being a romance genre and not an #ownvoices narrative.
You mentioned that some monsters disguise themselves in white bodies but are “more monstrous.” That’s interesting, but I’m still unclear: does your alien monster merge with its host, or is it just wearing their skin? In the anime Parasyte, the alien Migi and its human host have deep conversations about humanity, culture, and perspective. These are all things Migi doesn’t initially understand. This exchange gives the human host agency while preserving their cultural identity. Will your Latine MC receive that kind of humanization?
If not, and these aliens are simply using a Latine appearance as a disguise, that’s a problem. It effectively erases the Latino experience while using a Latine character’s face, which feels deeply unsettling. It risks reducing Mexican identity to an aesthetic rather than acknowledging its depth of culture, traditions, history, food, music, humor, or language.
Since this is a queer romance, it also raises another issue: if the alien is just impersonating a Latine person, then the Latine love interest is, in reality, falling for someone who isn’t actually Latine. Does the love interest teach the alien about Latino culture? That could work, or fall flat depending on execution.
Ultimately, if there’s no strong narrative reason for this alien to present as Latine, it might be worth reconsidering their ethnicity. Maybe your next story could have a Latine MC without this sort of ambiguity, or you could make the alien merge with a real Latine host, similar to Parasyte. Alternatively, the love interest could be Latine, allowing for meaningful cultural exchange. Personally, I’d pass on a book where a non-Latine entity is running around murdering and romancing in Latine skin. But that’s just me.
~ Melanie 🌻
since my story takes place in Southern California, which has a large population of Mexican immigrants, I thought it made sense to make his "host body" Mexican.
This just sounds exactly like the aliens disguising themselves as Latin American immigrants in The Men In Black (1997) lol. In MIB, it is an intentional joke/play on the word “alien” that only worked in the 90s. That’s going to be the first thing audiences think of when they read this scenario.
~ Rina
Rina and Melanie’s Required Reading/Watching Recs:
The Men In Black (Columbia Pictures, 1997)
The Host (Stephenie Meyer, 2008) 😖
Parasyte (dir. Shimizu Kenichi, Madhouse, 2014)
Our prescription: more research and genre awareness.

Consuming writing tips and advice
When you scroll through #writing advice all day and take in as many tips as possible, you're losing potential as an author. If you're easily influenced without knowing how to apply it, then you're at a loss. How so?
1. You're in the wrong genre
Most people wouldn't have this problem, yet a few percentage, including me, will find advices not fitting. Even if it's not genre itself, some advices don't fit certain scenarios
How to show emotions!
Except, your character shouldn't. He's a soldier born and bred to face the dying woman on her knees, begging for her life, and to slay her from this miserable world the two of you live in.
Your theme isn't deep enough
Except, it's not supposed to be. You're writing domestic drama where it deals with the struggles in a marriage life in an apocalyptic world. You're writing a novella about a woman's inability to clean her garden. Some stories are stories meant to entertain to a certain point and it never has to be deep. And if it is shallow, then how you execute it can always bring it to its uniqueness.
2. You throw it to everything
Avoid using said, show don't tell, words to use instead of walk, etc. With this, you limit yourself to the constraints of unable to do anything but else.
"I don't know," he says, because it's the only thing he can do.
He looks at me like we've lost the spark in our love. I know now, I lost him.
He walked to the door, pretending not to see the danger behind.
There's going to be moments where you need synonyms, alternatives, methods, characterization, and others. Though, you take it to heart that you can't bring the basics back to the sea of new things. It's variation. The reason why you shouldn't use this certain word because there's an abundance of it. Once you drown it out in chuckles, whispers, cried, it simply becomes said.
3. The first rule—break the rules
These tips are made from people breaking the standards. That or there's a lack of something. When you take tips to face value without finding ways to make it yours, then you haven't used it to its full potential. Character arcs and development don't all go through the same path; humans don't heal or change the same path.
Once you understand the actual reasoning for a tip, then you can find a way to rework it to make it work with your writing style and your book.
Now that you've seen this advice, telling you how to consume tips and pieces of advice, what are you going to do? You're not going to take it to heart. You find yourself completely satisfied with how you write as of now? Good. Satisfaction is key to keep writing. You use advice to grow and relearn things you already know. This is another step in the infinite learning of writing.

For the last 14 years, when it rains in Lowndes County, Alabama, contaminated standing water builds up around Annye Burke’s home. When the septic tank breaks down, raw sewage backs up into her toilet, she said.
Although “frustrated” by the unhealthy and inconvenient conditions, Burke said she doesn’t let it get her down. Human wastewater contaminating homes and yards in these rural parts of central Alabama “has become a way of life,” she said. The problem has existed so long and was so pervasive that a 2017 study determined 1 in every 3 adults in the county had the intestinal parasite hookworm.
The Biden administration investigated and allocated nearly $26 million to rebuild Lowndes County’s water infrastructure, with the Department of Justice declaring the majority-Black area was suffering from “environmental racism.”
But earlier this month, President Donald Trump issued an executive order to kill the deal, calling it “illegal DEI.”
The DOJ’s Harmeet K. Dhillon, the assistant attorney general for civil rights under Trump, said the agency “will no longer push ‘environmental justice’ as viewed through a distorting, DEI lens,” referring to diversity, equity and inclusion programs.
A 2023 investigation sparked by environmental activist Catherine Coleman Flowers and conducted by the DOJ found that low-income residents of the county, most of whom are Black, have lacked basic sanitation services for generations. Given the area’s especially hard, impermeable soil and the high cost of installing private wastewater systems, many residents have resorted to straight piping to deal with human wastewater. This method involves guiding human wastewater away from the home into a series of ditches and crude piping systems, according to the DOJ report. That water collects in nearby yards, open areas and woods.
In more recent years, heavier rainfall related to climate change has meant that contaminated water floods into the home, spills across open areas, and contaminates local vegetation and water, exposing residents to illness.
And so, Burke and more than 300 other families in Lowndes County — located about 40 miles southwest of Montgomery — are forced to live with a failing water infrastructure that has led to serious health concerns, including hookworm, which at one point had been thought to be eradicated from the United States, according to a 2021 study by the Baylor College of Medicine and the Alabama Center for Rural Enterprise.
Hookworms are mainly contracted by walking barefoot on soil contaminated with infected feces. It can cause abdominal pain, skin rashes, diarrhea, fever and other ailments.
“We have to be extra sanitary because people getting sick can be a problem,” Burke, 58, said. “The health concerns are real. In 2025 we shouldn’t have to deal with this, but it is what it is.”
She said she uses various disinfectants multiple times a day to clean her home and protect her family, which includes her children and grandchildren who come to visit.
This environmental quagmire has persisted for more than 20 years in this rural part of the state, where 72.4% of the population is Black and the median household income is $35,160, according to the latest census; one-third of residents live below the poverty line. Flowers said that much of the problem started back in 1866 with the passage of the Southern Homestead Act, when Black people were first allowed to purchase land there and were offered mostly places that were environmentally unsafe.
In recent decades, it’s not uncommon for untreated sewage to flow from some residents’ toilets into their yards or back up into their homes through sinks or bathtubs. Drinking water from the tap is out of the question. Some residents have dug ditches in an attempt to drain rainwater away from their homes.
Flowers, who grew up in Lowndes, has been fighting for 23 years to fix the water infrastructure in the county. Her efforts led to the Biden administration’s $26 million commitment. She said Trump’s cancelation of the agreement did not surprise her.
“There are some people who are not going to make it a priority to get this work done,” Flowers said. “That’s the way it’s always been.”
Alabama Rep. Terri Sewell, a Democrat who represents the area, said in a statement that the DOJ’s reason for abandoning the deal was weak.
“This agreement had nothing to do with DEI,” Sewell said. “It was about addressing a public health crisis that has forced generations of children and families to endure the health hazards of living in proximity to raw sewage, as the DOJ itself documented. By terminating it, the Trump Administration has put its blatant disregard for the health of my constituents on full display.”
When announcing the results of the 2023 investigation, former Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke said the Justice Department found evidence that suggested Alabama’s Department of Public Health showed “a consistent pattern of inaction and/or neglect concerning the health risks associated with exposure to raw sewage.”
Sewell added that the burden to “remedy this injustice” fell to the Alabama Department of Public Health. But the ADH said in a statement to NBC News that “the installation of sanitation systems and related infrastructure is outside the authority or responsibilities.”
A second statement from ADH said the department had received $1.5 million of the funds from the Biden agreement and used it in part to pay for three septic tank installations. With the remainder of that money, ADH will pay a contractor to complete more work by May 2026, according to the statement. Trump killed the agreement before any additional funds could be distributed toward fixing the water infrastructure.
Annye Burke said her daughter, who lives next door, is in a dilemma because she was hoping to receive a new septic tank when hers recently collapsed. She’s lived the last four years with her water issues.
“Being raised in the country and at one point of having to use outside facilities, I know how to make do,” Burke said. “I just take one day at a time and pray about it and keep moving on. I don’t let it get me down. But my daughter grew up differently, so I worry about how she deals with this stuff.”
Flowers, the activist, said that while she hopes the agreement will be reinstituted, she has seen communities come together to make change. Last week, she pointed out, she was in Mount Vernon, New York, where sewage issues were resolved with the combined work of the city, county and state government.
“They fixed it because they should have,” Flowers said. The problem was discovered in 2021 “and it’s fixed five years later. I’ve been working on this in Lowndes County since 2002.”
Some families have been able to afford to move away, but many cannot. Then the connection to the land is also a factor, said Flowers, who spent her childhood there and whose father was raised in Lowndes County.
“My family has been in Lowndes County since slavery,” Flowers said. “It’s home for people. Why would we want to move? That’s where our people are buried.”
Changing homes is not just about occupying another house.
“We’re talking about giving up a culture,” she said. “So, we will continue this fight.”

Nini, what about vampire Fyodor x vampire hunter reader (〜^∇^)〜 like you’ve been assigned to hunt down and bring the head of Fyodor Dostoevsky to uhh.. a king idk.
So you track Fyodor down and instead make a deal with him. You won’t kill him and actually let him feed off you and he lets you fuck him (ゝз╹)
At first he’s hesitant. A well ranked hunter coming to him and proposing a friends with benefits arrangement sounds pretty suspicious, but hearing the offer that you let him feed off you makes him agree since it’s an easy meal and he was planning on betraying you later on.
Thats until he’s bent down on all fours and being pounded like wild animals in heat. The vampire is so touch starved that he can’t handle the pleasure and tries biting anything he can (let’s just say you were left with a bunch of bite marks) After that experience he traps you in his manor and begs you to stay with him, maybe he turns you into a vampire as well
-🍮
I had so much fun writing this haha, and I had to brainstorm trying to fill in some plot holes
Dom!reader x sub!vampire!fyodor
Warning: teasing, pet name (lil’ vamp), pegging (I use dick), a tiny bit of dacryphilia, biting, hierophilia (blood), vampirism, contract sex
Edit: I think I’m based towards fyodor, this ended up so long again-

You were a mercenary, one specified in hunting down those bloodsucking monsters known as vampires. Your name was infamous among the humans and vampire race, known for your amazing methods and efficient execution. Though you don’t care much about fame, the only good things about it is it lands you many missions. Which is why you’ve been summoned to the castle of a faraway country, one that resides close to a forbidden forest.
These mysterious forests are strictly forbidden due to vampires living within them. It’s always dark and quiet in those places, befitting their taste. So you might think it’s alright if people just don’t go into the woods. Sadly something like that can’t be prevented. There are many valuable resources beneath these trees, and everyone is dying to get their hands on those. The price for material from the forest is also really high, and sometimes that’s the only hope for the commoners.
Even though it’s been agreed upon that humans shall not disturb the vampires for they own safety, your client, the king, wanted to raid the forest. He had his eyes set on the wood planted around the mansion of the monster, it had a beautiful dark colour and was very sturdy. Yet out of fear for the power of the entity, he didn’t dare set a single foot into the woods. That’s when you come into the spotlight, he wanted you, the most famous vampire hunter, to take care of this. Once the vampire is gone, he won’t be breaking any rules, right?
This was a common case for you, everyone used you to do their dirty work. That’s the life of a mercenary, disposable and self-destructive.
You walked through the lavish halls of the king, meeting him in his throne hall. He didn’t spare you more then one glance, shouting loud enough for his voice to bounce off the walls, “y/n, vampire hunter. I have an honorary task for you. I want you to bring me the head of the demon Fyodor Dostoyevsky and for that you’ll be greatly rewarded.”
Despite it sounding grandiose and imposing you knew how to stand your ground, asking for the exact amount you’ll be rewarded and an advance payment. The king on the other hand refused to answer, saying he doesn’t want you to run off with the money. What a joke, your previous feats aren’t just for show after all. There was no helping it, that’s life. You swallowed your anger and left, rolling your eyes as you prepared to set off.
The home of that demon was grande, almost as huge as the castle, he sure loved luxury. You circled around the house to secure your escape route before heading inside, the door opened with a climatic creak. What a cliche, does vampires not know how to take care of their home? Without sparing it too much thought, you stepped inside and called out for that monster, wondering why the ruler knew his name. They must have a long history between them.
“Fyodor! Heyyy, come out, do me a favour and make this easy.” You yelled, and soon enough, a shadow emerged from behind you. Before you got the chance to turn around, he mumbled with grace and elegance, “Y/n, the vampire’s greatest enemy. The one who pulled out the fangs of Dracula with your bare hand, and forced him to drink the blood of his comrades.” A shiver ran down your spine at his voice, it was low and pretty, enough to stir something inside you.
“That’s an exaggeration, I never did such things.” You turned around and chuckled, staring into his purple eyes. Before you stood a black haired young man with a puffy shirt and fitted pants. He wore many silver accessories, tons of necklaces hung around his neck. His appearance was very eye-catching, pretty features and pale skin, sickly so. “…but I may have a record of flirting with the enemy.” After seeing how beautiful he was, you decided to indulge yourself, flirting with him.
He didn’t pay your words any attention, instead he continued with his speech, “Mortal children strived to be like you, while we use your stories to scare the kids.” You stopped, a sense of pride engulfing you from the inside. “My, I am quite famous after all.” Fyodor furrowed his brows, as if he’s agitated, then he relaxed his expression and said, “I knew you’d come for me one day. And, I’m dying to try out your blood.” After saying that, he licked his lips before covering his mouth with his hand.
You laughed, catching him off guard. The sound of your voice was annoying, he felt like you were mocking him. Then you teased, “dear, do you really think you can touch my blood?” That was clearly a provocation, you looked down on him. He clicked his tongue, glaring at you. The moment you blinked, he rushed over to you, planning on taking you out with one swoop attack. You dodged him with ease, commenting, “not bad, but is this all?” And he ignored your remarks once more.
Seeing how serious he was, you’ll have to stop the joking soon as well. To be honest you weren’t in the mood for fighting, which is why you suggested, “How about this, fyodor-” “I didn’t give you permission to use my name.” He snapped, showing his fangs. “…then, lil’ vamp it is.” You chuckled, noticing how that pet name annoyed him further. “How about a deal? I’ll spare your life and you can have as much of my blood as I’m able to give you.” His pointy ears perked, intrigued by this proposal. It sounded enticing, but there’s nothing for free in this world.
“And what do you get out of this?” Fyodor asked, keeping his distance. He wasn’t going to heed the rules of a deal anyway, especially when made with a human. “Allow me to be a bit crude, but I want you to sell your body to me.” The boy froze in place, eyes widened in shock and disbelief. Were you aware of the implications of your own words? Was this another one of your mockery, your way of insulting him? “What makes you think I’d agree?” He questioned you, staring at your face with his scarlet eyes, trying to read you.
“I’m simply proposing a deal, you can decline or agree, it’s up to you.” Somehow you managed to sound unbothered and cheery despite the situation. No matter how fyodor wanted to decline, he knew this was his chance. If you fought with him seriously, he would eventually lose. Now, with you giving him new opportunities, he had to take them and put it to good use. “I’ll accept this for now, so, show me how sincere you are.” The demon demanded, and you answered with, “my pleasure, please show me to your room.”
Who would have known a day like this would come, where he got shoved into his own room, pinned to his own bed and humiliated in front of a human. It didn’t take long until you got him bend over on all fours, face pressed into his soft pillows. Any of his attempts to overpower you were futile, because you were physically stronger than him. That allowed you to pretty much manhandle him, denying him access to your neck. Once you got him into this vulnerable position, you didn’t held yourself back, asking him one last time if your deal still stands. After he nodded, you went all in.
Now you were breathing heavily while slowly entering his hole. His rim was tight and didn’t allow you any entrance, but you stayed stubborn, gently pushing your way in. “You are so tight, lil’ vamp.” You muttered, occasionally glancing over at him to see how well his reaction is. “Nghhh…! S-slow down, it hurts!” Fyodor groaned, cheeks flushed red as he realized the situation he was in, and that he never shared such intimate moments with anyone before. “…if I go any slower I wouldn’t be moving anymore.” You tried to reason with him, leaning down to press your body against his.
“HnnGh… t-then pull out…” He snarled, glaring at you while he felt your skin against his back, pressing him down, reminding him of your presence. How did things turn out like this? Why was he participating in such vulgar acts with his greatest enemy…? “Do you want me to? Then you won’t get my blood as well.” You whispered into his ear, licking his earlobe and the earring he wore. “Ha-haahhhH…! No, d-don’t.” The boy gasped, and you weren’t sure what he meant. But he seems to be enjoying himself, so you continued.
His hands gripped the white sheets with all the remaining strength he had, his ass reddened as he struggled to take you whole. That poor guy’s entire body was shivering, shaking as he tried to get used to this pressing sensation inside him. He could feel you stretching him apart, rubbing against his squishy walls. You smiled as you observed his efforts, one hand clasped over his hand as you intertwining your fingers with his. He had sharp nails, you could even call them claws. So you were worried that he’d poke holes into his sheets.
Your other hand explored his body, trailing down his spine with your fingertips, brushing over his body as if you were caressing a flower. “Hmm..! Uh-uhhng..! It f-feels weird..” It tickled him, yet it wasn’t uncomfortable, at least he thinks it wasn’t. Next, you stroke his silky hair before grabbing his hip and mumbling tenderly, “you are doing good, don’t worry I plan on being nice for today.” What do you mean for today…?
Soon, your hips met with his, and you stopped moving until you were sure he was alright. “Good job.” You said, rubbing his blushing cheeks slightly. Then you held your wrist right in front of him, inviting him to bite you, giving him your approval. Without any once of hesitation, he sunk his teeth into your flesh, sucking viciously. He was feeling so weak from your actions, he needed that replenishment. Since he was distracted, you took that chance to start moving again, making sure to take your sweet time. Well, he looked like he’d break if you weren’t gentle with him. He had such a slim and frail physic after all. Just look at his waist, it’s so skinny you fear you could accidentally break him into two pieces.
Fyodor suck on your wrist, mind getting cloudy from the taste of your sweet blood. It tasted amazing, and it made him feel all foggy inside. As if he was getting drunk on it, addicted even. He made sure not to waste a single drop, lips pressed against your skin while he gulped down more and more of your vitality. Apparently he was so distracted he didn’t notice you pounding his cute ass, not until it was too late. You fucked him slowly but roughly, each time you’d thrust yourself as deep inside him as you could, feeling him clench around you so sweetly.
“HnMnh, nghh…” the vampire only whimpered meekly as he sipped your blood contently, feeling pleasure blossom everywhere inside him. You eventually quickened your pace, now rutting into him without any care in the world. It was instantly met with his mewling, a high pitched noise as he screamed in ecstasy. Fyodor couldn’t pull his thoughts together, tongue hanging out as some tears rolled down his face.
Then you pulled your wrist away from him, saying, “that’s enough for now. If you want more, you gotta work hard.” His eyes bore such a pitiful look as he begged you for more, face melting as he moaned around you, some of your blood sticking to his lips. “Ahhh… it felt so good, I-i don’t wanna stop..” he admit, hands shaking underneath you, his primal urges kicking in, infesting his desires and hunger.
“What is it that you want, fyodor?” The way you voiced his name made his knees go weak, tremble even. He panted heavily, trying to fill his lungs with air, to keep his composure. “I-I want more blood… I want your blood.” You smiled, seeing him so desperate fed into your own desires. And you felt like if you denied him any longer he was going to cry, considering his eyes were getting watery already. “Then come here, lil’ vamp.” You told him and wrapped your arms around his waist, pulling him closer to you as you sat up, positioning him in your lap.
His first response was to whine as he arched his back forwards, legs turning into pudding as his hands shakily let go of the sheets, now clutching your thighs. “Ah-nGhh.. it’s so- so deep inside me.. it’s so foreign..?” Out of nowhere you turned him over, and he wanted to immediately bite your neck, but you covered his mouth with your palm. “Not yet.” As soon as he understood what you wanted, he wrapped his arms around your neck, bouncing up and down your dick like he was in heat. Your hand was still over his lips, so his moans all got muffled as they seeped through, “mHhnff, HnnGh, hmm…!!”
He rode you with fever and need. On one hand because he needed you and your blood on a carnal level, on the other hand due to him starting to enjoy getting fucked by you. After a while you took your hand away from him, now squeezing his waist with both hands, guiding his movements. Fyodor nuzzled against your neck, pleading with you, hoping you’d let him have some of that delicious red liquid again. “Y/n.. ah-huuHhn~ l-let me fed off you..? P-please..♡♥︎~?” You giggled to yourself, entertained and delighted, duty all pushed to the side as you said, “go on, take as much as you need.”
Needless of say, you two shared a long night together, and somehow, both of you ended up in endless love bites. Ops, what’s this? Oh no, his door is stuck! It must be because it’s so old~ oh no, seems you’ll have to stay at the mansion longer than expected… and his impending heat is coming up ♡

Assassination Methods Through the Decades: A Writer’s Handbook
When it comes to writing about assassination, historical accuracy and understanding the evolution of methods can significantly enhance the authenticity and impact of your narrative. This guide is designed to help writers explore the diverse and often brutal methods of assassination that have been used throughout the centuries. From the poisonings of ancient times to the covert killings of medieval assassins, here’s a comprehensive guide bound to give you the perfect inspiration for your assassination scenes.
Ancient and Medieval Assassination Methods
Poisoning
Poisoning is one of the oldest methods of assassination, dating back to ancient civilizations such as Greece, Rome, and Egypt. The allure of poison lies in its ability to kill without physical confrontation, often leaving little trace of the perpetrator.
Common Poisons:
Hemlock: Famously used in the execution of Socrates, hemlock was a slow-acting poison that caused paralysis, leading to death by respiratory failure.
Arsenic: Known as the "inheritance powder," arsenic was a favorite among those seeking to kill discreetly. Its symptoms could be mistaken for natural illness, making it a popular choice in political and familial power struggles.
Belladonna: Also known as deadly nightshade, belladonna was used in both small and large doses to incapacitate or kill. The poison caused hallucinations, dilated pupils, and eventually death.
Historical Examples:
Socrates (399 BC): The Greek philosopher was sentenced to death by drinking a concoction containing hemlock, a method chosen for its relative humanity compared to other executions.
Emperor Claudius (54 AD): It is widely believed that the Roman Emperor Claudius was poisoned by his wife, Agrippina, using a dish of poisoned mushrooms to secure her son Nero's place on the throne.
Administration Methods:
Poisons were often mixed into food or drink, applied to the skin via ointments, or even introduced into the body through small, concealed needles. Assassins needed to be knowledgeable in the art of dosage to ensure a successful kill without immediate detection.
Symptoms:
Victims of poisoning would often suffer a range of symptoms depending on the poison used. These could include severe abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, convulsions, and eventually, death. The slow progression of symptoms allowed the assassin time to escape, and in many cases, the cause of death was not immediately apparent, lending an air of mystery to the assassination.
Bladed Weapons
Before the advent of firearms, blades were the primary tools of assassins. Daggers, swords, and other sharp instruments were favored for their portability and effectiveness in close combat situations.
Types of Blades:
Daggers: Small, easily concealed, and lethal at close range, daggers were the weapon of choice for many assassins. The Roman pugio and the medieval stiletto were particularly popular.
Swords: Larger and more visible, swords were often used in assassinations where the element of surprise was not necessary, such as in the heat of battle or a public execution.
Kris: A wavy-edged dagger used in Southeast Asia, the kris was known for its spiritual significance as well as its lethality.
Famous Assassinations:
Julius Caesar (44 BC): Perhaps the most famous assassination in history, Caesar was stabbed 23 times by a group of Roman senators led by Brutus and Cassius. The attack was swift and brutal, demonstrating the effectiveness of a well-coordinated knife attack.
King Duncan (11th century): The assassination of King Duncan by Macbeth (as famously dramatized by Shakespeare) is an example of a stealthy, intimate kill using a blade, where the act was both personal and symbolic.
Techniques:
Assassins using bladed weapons often relied on stealth, speed, and precision. A well-placed stab to the heart, throat, or kidneys could kill instantly or within moments, leaving the assassin time to escape. In some cultures, assassins were trained in martial arts that emphasized quick, lethal strikes.
Weapon Concealment:
Blades were often concealed in clothing, boots, or even within the folds of long hair or turbans. The art of hiding a weapon until the crucial moment was key to the success of many assassinations.
Strangulation and Garroting
Strangulation was another favored method of assassination in ancient and medieval times, especially for those who sought to avoid bloodshed or noise. The garrote, a weapon used to strangle a victim, was particularly effective in this regard.
Tools Used:
Garrote: A length of wire, cord, or fabric used to strangle a victim from behind. The garrote was silent, deadly, and could be easily concealed, making it a popular choice for assassins throughout history.
Hands: In cases where no weapon was available, assassins might rely on their own hands to strangle a victim. This method required physical strength and proximity but could be effective in the right circumstances.
Historical Examples:
Sicarii (1st century AD): A group of Jewish zealots who used short daggers to stab Roman collaborators in crowded places. The Sicarii were also known for strangling their enemies with garrotes.
Medieval Europe: Strangulation was sometimes used as a method of execution for nobles, where a public beheading or hanging might be considered dishonorable.
Execution:
The assassin would typically approach the victim from behind, loop the garrote around their neck, and tighten it quickly and forcefully, cutting off the victim's air supply. Death would occur within minutes due to asphyxiation or a broken neck.
Advantages and Risks:
The main advantage of strangulation was its silence. Unlike a stabbing or poisoning, strangulation could be done without alerting others nearby. However, it required physical strength and a certain level of risk, as the victim might struggle or fight back.
Renaissance and Early Modern Era
Firearms
The Renaissance and early modern era marked a significant turning point in the history of assassination methods with the introduction of firearms. Gunpowder, first developed in China, made its way to Europe and fundamentally changed the dynamics of warfare and personal combat, including assassination.
Introduction of Gunpowder and Early Firearms in Assassinations:
The development of gunpowder-based weapons provided assassins with a new tool that could kill from a distance, reducing the risk of capture. Early firearms such as matchlock and flintlock pistols were bulky and required significant skill to use effectively, but their lethality made them a preferred choice for assassins by the 16th century.
Firearms allowed for quick, deadly strikes that were difficult to defend against, making them ideal for assassinations where the element of surprise was crucial. The loud noise and smoke, however, meant that escape required careful planning.
How Accuracy and Concealability Impacted Methods:
Early firearms were not known for their accuracy, which necessitated close-range attacks. Assassins often had to be within a few feet of their target to ensure a successful hit. As a result, these weapons were usually concealed under cloaks or in specially designed holsters that allowed for a quick draw.
Over time, improvements in gun design, such as rifling and better gunpowder, increased accuracy and allowed for slightly longer-range assassinations. Despite these advancements, concealability remained a critical factor, as firearms were often large and unwieldy compared to daggers or poison.
Key Assassinations Involving Firearms:
Assassination of King Henry IV of France (1610): King Henry IV was assassinated by François Ravaillac, a Catholic fanatic who stabbed the king while his carriage was stopped in traffic. While this was a stabbing, the period saw a rise in the use of firearms for such purposes. Henry IV's era was marked by religious turmoil, where firearms began to play a role in political assassinations.
Assassination of William the Silent (1584): William I of Orange, also known as William the Silent, was assassinated by Balthasar Gérard using a handgun. This marked one of the first successful assassinations of a prominent figure using a firearm, demonstrating the growing popularity of this method during the Renaissance.
Poison Rings and Needles
The Renaissance period also saw the refinement of more discreet methods of assassination, particularly the use of poison rings and needles. These tools allowed for covert poisoning, often in social settings where other weapons might not be feasible.
Discreet Poisoning Techniques:
Poison Rings: These rings contained a small hidden compartment that could hold a lethal dose of poison. The wearer could discreetly slip poison into a drink or onto food with a simple flick of the ring’s lid. Poison rings were popular among nobility and were often used in court intrigues where open violence would have been impossible.
Poison Needles: These were small, sharp needles often coated with a fast-acting poison. They could be hidden in clothing or other objects and used to deliver a quick, often unnoticed prick that would introduce the poison into the victim’s bloodstream. Needles were ideal for use in crowded settings, such as royal courts or banquets, where the assassin could blend into the crowd after delivering the fatal dose.
Notable Instances of Usage:
Lucrezia Borgia (1480-1519): While the extent of her involvement in poisoning is debated, Lucrezia Borgia, a member of the infamous Borgia family, is often associated with the use of poison rings to eliminate her political enemies. The Borgia family’s reputation for cunning and ruthlessness made poison one of their favored tools for securing power.
Catherine de' Medici (1519-1589): The French queen consort and mother to several kings of France, Catherine de' Medici, was rumored to have employed poison rings and needles to remove rivals and control court politics during the Wars of Religion in France.
Explosives
The early use of explosives in assassination attempts represented a shift towards more destructive and indiscriminate methods of killing, often targeting not just the primary victim but also anyone nearby. Explosives became a favored tool in situations where a dramatic statement was intended, or where traditional methods of assassination were not feasible.
The Early Use of Explosives in Assassination Attempts:
Explosives were first used in assassination attempts during the Renaissance and early modern periods, although their use was limited by the difficulty of creating and handling reliable explosive devices. Gunpowder was the primary explosive material, and it required careful handling to avoid premature detonation.
The use of explosives was often tied to larger political or religious motivations, as the collateral damage caused by an explosion could have a significant psychological impact on the population or ruling class.
The Effectiveness and Risks Involved:
Explosives were highly effective in causing mass casualties and instilling fear, but they also carried significant risks for the assassin. Improper handling could result in accidental detonation, and the use of explosives often made it difficult for the assassin to escape unnoticed.
The unpredictability of early explosives also meant that they could fail to detonate or cause less damage than intended, leaving the assassin vulnerable to capture and execution.
Historical Example:
The Gunpowder Plot (1605): One of the most famous early uses of explosives in an assassination attempt was the Gunpowder Plot, in which a group of Catholic conspirators, including Guy Fawkes, attempted to blow up the House of Lords during the State Opening of Parliament, with the aim of killing King James I and much of the Protestant aristocracy. The plot was foiled, but it demonstrated the potential of explosives as a tool for political assassination.
The Industrial Revolution and Early 20th Century
Sniper Rifles
The Industrial Revolution brought about significant advancements in weaponry, including the development of sniper rifles. These long-range firearms allowed assassins to strike from a distance, often without being seen or heard.
The Rise of Long-Range Assassinations:
Sniper rifles were designed for accuracy over long distances, enabling assassins to kill targets from hundreds of meters away. This development allowed for greater safety and discretion, as the assassin could remain hidden while observing the target through a scope.
The advent of rifling, which gave bullets a stable, spinning motion, greatly improved accuracy and range. Coupled with telescopic sights, these rifles became the preferred tool for military and political assassinations during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Famous Cases:
Assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand (1914): Although Archduke Franz Ferdinand was ultimately killed by a handgun, the era in which he was assassinated saw the rise of snipers as a significant threat. The tensions and technologies of the time set the stage for future political assassinations using sniper rifles.
Assassination of President John F. Kennedy (1963): Although beyond the early 20th century, the assassination of JFK by a sniper is a prominent example of how sniper rifles became synonymous with political killings. This event marked a turning point in the history of assassination, highlighting the lethal effectiveness of long-range firearms.
Car Bombs
The introduction and evolution of vehicular explosives, particularly car bombs, added a new dimension to assassination tactics in the 20th century. Car bombs became a favored method due to their potential for mass destruction and the ability to target individuals in transit.
Introduction and Evolution of Vehicular Explosives:
The use of car bombs began in earnest during the early 20th century, particularly in conflicts where traditional methods of assassination were either too risky or ineffective. These bombs could be planted in vehicles and detonated remotely, offering a high degree of control over the timing and impact of the explosion.
Over time, car bombs became more sophisticated, with the addition of remote triggers, time delays, and increased explosive power. They were used not only in targeted assassinations but also in acts of terrorism aimed at destabilizing governments or instilling fear in the populace.
Techniques for Planting and Detonating:
Planting a car bomb required detailed planning, as the vehicle needed to be accessed and rigged with explosives without arousing suspicion. Detonation methods varied from simple timed fuses to complex remote-controlled devices, allowing the assassin to maintain distance from the blast.
The challenge for assassins was ensuring the target was inside or near the vehicle at the moment of detonation. This often involved careful observation of the target’s routines and the use of decoys or distractions to ensure the bomb’s effectiveness.
Chemical and Biological Agents
The 20th century saw the development and use of more advanced chemical and biological agents in assassinations. These methods, often invisible and insidious, allowed for killings that were difficult to trace and could be disguised as natural causes.
Use of More Advanced Poisons and Toxins:
With advancements in chemistry and biology, assassins gained access to a range of deadly substances that could kill quickly or slowly, depending on the agent used. Toxins like ricin, cyanide, and various nerve agents became tools of state-sponsored assassinations, particularly during the Cold War.
Chemical agents could be introduced through food, drink, or even via contact with the skin or inhalation, making them versatile and deadly. Biological agents, on the other hand, could cause diseases that mimicked natural illnesses, allowing assassins to kill without immediate suspicion.
Historical Examples:
Ricin: Ricin, a highly potent toxin derived from castor beans, was famously used in the assassination of Bulgarian dissident Georgi Markov in 1978. Markov was attacked with a modified umbrella that injected a tiny pellet containing ricin into his leg, leading to his death a few days later.
Cyanide: Cyanide has been used in various assassinations due to its rapid action and high lethality. One of the most notorious uses of cyanide was in the mass suicide-murder in Jonestown in 1978, where members of the Peoples Temple ingested cyanide-laced punch, although this was not an assassination in the traditional sense, it demonstrated the deadly effectiveness of the poison.
These innovations in assassination methods during the Industrial Revolution and early 20th century reflected the growing complexity of warfare and espionage, as well as the increasing role of technology in shaping the tactics of assassins.
Modern and Contemporary Assassination Methods
Silenced Firearms
In the modern era, the evolution of silenced firearms, or firearms equipped with suppressors, has played a significant role in covert assassinations. The suppressor, commonly known as a silencer, reduces the noise and muzzle flash of a firearm, allowing assassins to operate with a higher degree of stealth.
The Evolution of Suppressors and Their Use in Covert Assassinations:
Suppressors were first developed in the early 20th century and have since become a staple in the arsenal of assassins. Initially, suppressors were bulky and limited to specific firearms, but advancements in technology have made them more compact, effective, and adaptable to a wide range of weapons.
Silenced firearms are ideal for close-quarters assassinations where discretion is paramount. The reduced noise levels prevent immediate detection, giving the assassin time to escape or even carry out multiple hits without alerting nearby individuals.
High-Profile Cases:
Cold War Assassinations: During the Cold War, silenced firearms were frequently used by intelligence agencies on both sides of the Iron Curtain. The KGB, CIA, and MI6, among others, employed suppressors in various covert operations to eliminate targets without drawing attention.
Georgi Markov (1978): Although Markov’s assassination in London involved a poison-tipped umbrella, the use of suppressors was prevalent in the same period for similar covert operations. This era exemplified the silent, precise methods preferred by state-sponsored assassins.
Remote-Controlled Devices
The rise of remote-controlled devices, including drones and other modern technologies, has introduced a new dimension to assassination methods. These devices allow assassins to strike from a distance, often from thousands of miles away, with precision and minimal risk.
Drones and Other Modern Technologies in Assassination:
Drones, equipped with cameras and weapons, have revolutionized modern warfare and assassination. These unmanned aerial vehicles can be operated remotely, providing real-time surveillance and the ability to deliver lethal force with pinpoint accuracy. Drones are particularly effective in targeting individuals in difficult-to-reach or heavily guarded locations.
Other remote-controlled devices, such as bombs or cars rigged to detonate via remote, offer similar advantages. These methods allow the assassin to maintain a safe distance from the target, reducing the likelihood of capture or identification.
Notable Instances in Recent History:
Qasem Soleimani (2020): One of the most high-profile drone assassinations in recent history was the killing of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani by a U.S. drone strike in Baghdad. This event highlighted the capabilities of drone technology in executing precise, targeted killings with global political implications.
The Killing of Anwar al-Awlaki (2011): The American-born cleric and al-Qaeda leader was targeted and killed by a drone strike in Yemen, marking a significant moment in the use of remote-controlled devices in the War on Terror.
Cyber-Assassination
As technology continues to advance, the concept of cyber-assassination has emerged as a new frontier in covert operations. This method involves using cyber means to assassinate individuals, such as hacking into medical devices or other critical systems.
The Concept of Assassination Through Cyber Means:
Cyber-assassination leverages the vulnerabilities in modern technology, particularly medical devices like pacemakers or insulin pumps, which can be hacked to deliver a fatal outcome. This method represents a shift from physical to digital assassination, where the target can be killed without the assassin ever being in the same country, let alone the same room.
Cyber-attacks can also target critical infrastructure, leading to deaths through indirect means such as causing traffic accidents by hacking self-driving cars or disrupting life support systems in hospitals.
Ethical and Legal Implications:
The rise of cyber-assassination raises significant ethical and legal questions. Unlike traditional assassination methods, which can be physically traced, cyber-attacks are often difficult to attribute, making accountability a major issue. This anonymity can lead to increased use of such methods by state and non-state actors alike.
Legal frameworks have yet to fully catch up with the technological realities of cyber-assassination. As a result, there is a grey area regarding the legality of such actions, particularly in the context of international law and the rules of engagement in warfare.
Assassination Methods by Region
Europe
Throughout history, Europe has seen a variety of assassination methods, each influenced by the region’s diverse cultures, political climates, and technological advancements.
Specific Methods Popular in Different European Countries Across Various Eras:
In medieval Europe, poison was a favored method, particularly among the Italian nobility. The use of poisoned food, drink, and even clothing was common in the courts of Italy, where political intrigue and betrayal were rife.
During the French Revolution, the guillotine became the symbol of state-sanctioned assassination, used to eliminate political enemies swiftly and publicly. The Reign of Terror saw the use of this method to instill fear and maintain control.
In more recent history, Eastern Europe, under Soviet influence, saw the use of more covert methods, such as radioactive poisoning, exemplified by the assassination of Alexander Litvinenko in 2006 in London.
Asia
Asia's vast and diverse history has given rise to a wide range of assassination techniques, each influenced by the unique cultural, political, and historical contexts of its various regions.
South Asia (India, Pakistan, and Surrounding Areas):
In ancient and medieval India, assassination was often a tool used in dynastic struggles. One notable method was the use of Vishkanya—young women supposedly trained from childhood to tolerate and deliver poison. These women were allegedly used to assassinate powerful enemies by poisoning them through intimate contact.
During the Mughal Empire, political intrigue often involved the use of poisoning and covert killings to eliminate rivals. The struggle for succession in royal courts frequently led to the use of assassination as a means to secure power.
East Asia (China, Korea, Japan):
Ninja Tactics (Japan): In feudal Japan, ninjas were often employed as assassins due to their skills in stealth, espionage, and the use of a variety of weapons. Techniques such as silent killing with swords, blow darts, and the use of shuriken (throwing stars) were common. Ninjas were masters of disguise and could infiltrate enemy strongholds to eliminate targets without detection.
While ninja tactics are widely known, East Asia’s history of assassination is much broader. In ancient China, assassins were sometimes employed by rival states or within the imperial court to eliminate threats. Famous historical accounts like the attempted assassination of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China, highlight the role of assassins in shaping the region’s history.
Korea’s history also includes instances of political assassinations, particularly during the Joseon Dynasty, where court intrigue and power struggles often resulted in the discreet elimination of rivals.
East Asia (China, Korea, Japan):
Poison Darts: In regions like Borneo and the Philippines, blowguns with poison-tipped darts were used by indigenous tribes to silently kill enemies. These weapons were effective for their stealth and the ability to deliver deadly toxins without the need for close combat.
Central Asia:
In Central Asia, particularly during the time of the Silk Road, assassins were sometimes employed by powerful khans and warlords to secure trade routes and eliminate threats. Assassination was a strategic tool in maintaining control over vast and often unruly territories.
Middle East
The Middle East has a rich and complex history where assassination has played a role in political and dynastic power struggles, often tied to the region’s diverse empires and cultural traditions.
Historical Assassinations Involving Political Power Struggles:
The Middle East, home to some of the world’s oldest civilizations, has seen assassinations employed as a tool of political maneuvering for millennia. In ancient Mesopotamia, assassinations were sometimes used to secure thrones and eliminate rivals within royal families.
During the time of the Ottoman Empire, the practice of fratricide—where newly crowned sultans would eliminate their brothers to prevent future challenges to their rule—was a brutal form of state-sanctioned assassination.
The Byzantine Empire, centered in what is now modern-day Turkey, also witnessed political assassinations as a common method for securing power, with emperors and high-ranking officials often falling victim to their rivals.
The Americas
The Americas, particularly the United States and Latin America, have experienced a range of political assassinations, often with far-reaching consequences.
Political Assassinations in the U.S. and Latin America:
In the United States, the assassinations of presidents like Abraham Lincoln, John F. Kennedy, and civil rights leaders such as Martin Luther King Jr. have left indelible marks on the nation’s history. These high-profile killings were often carried out by lone gunmen or small conspiracies and had profound impacts on the country’s political landscape.
Latin America has seen numerous political assassinations, often linked to dictatorial regimes, revolutionary movements, and drug cartels. Figures like Che Guevara and Salvador Allende were assassinated or killed under controversial circumstances, reflecting the volatile political environments in many Latin American countries during the 20th century.
This overview of assassination methods by region highlights the diverse and evolving tactics used across different parts of the world, shaped by the cultural, political, and technological contexts of each region.
Common Misconceptions About Assassination
The Myth of the Clean Kill
In fiction, assassinations are often depicted as clean and precise, with the target silently slumping over after a single blow or shot. However, in reality, even well-planned assassinations can go awry. Bodies don’t always react predictably to trauma, and factors like adrenaline, the environment, and unexpected movements can complicate even the most meticulously planned kill. A supposedly lethal blow may not immediately incapacitate the target, leading to prolonged struggles, noise, and potential witnesses.
Silencers and Stealth
In movies and TV shows, silencers (or suppressors) are often shown completely muffling the sound of a gunshot, reducing it to a mere whisper. In reality, while suppressors do reduce the noise, they don’t make it silent. The sound of a suppressed gunshot can still be quite loud, akin to a clap or the popping of a balloon, and depending on the environment, it may still attract attention. Additionally, the sound of the bullet impact and mechanical noise from the firearm are not silenced, further dispelling the myth of a completely stealthy kill.
Poison Timing
Popular media often portrays poisons as acting instantaneously, with victims collapsing mere seconds after ingestion or injection. In truth, the effects of poisons vary widely depending on the substance, dose, and the victim’s physiology. Some poisons, like cyanide, can act within minutes, but others might take hours or even days to fully incapacitate or kill. Symptoms might develop gradually, and in some cases, the victim might not even realize they’ve been poisoned until it’s too late. This misconception can lead to unrealistic portrayals of poisoning in fiction.

Just scroll (or go ahead and block my #dav critical tag) if you don't wanna read me whining abt Bellara's Archive choice again, but I'm not done with the salt.
What bugs me isn't that the choice to destroy the archive exists, it's that the game frames it, through its UI (which is the closest thing we have to a nonbiased narrator in this medium), as equally weighted against the opposite choice.
If they had worded it like this:
"Free the archive (the knowledge will be lost)" x "Keep the archive (the knowledge will be kept)"
With no extra commentary, then that would be better. If you got to be openly racist against the Dalish or openly in favor of the Dalish, period. Just like in previous games.
Bellara says "(the archive would help us) get back what made us who we were," and "With it, we could be that again."
Which is funny because... People don't study history to return to the past. It's fine if Bellara is idealistic and saying whatever unrealistic, grandiose dreams she and Cyrian had, but the Dalish would never (could never) become like the ancient elves again. For starters there is a Veil now. So what it would in fact do is help them understand where they come from, what they've been through, and trace the changes in their culture.
Of course our modern historians and scientists have tried to reclaim lost technology, too. They've figured out how the Romans made their extra sturdy concrete, and scientists in Brazil have long been trying to replicate the extra fertile Terra Preta from indigenous peoples that lived in the Amazon basin, and several South American historians would love to know how exactly the Inca used the quipu as a writing system aside from counting tool, etc... And that's super cool!!! And maybe (but that's a big maybe) the Archive could give the Dalish a technological edge to carve a corner of the world for themselves without the constant struggle with Tevinter trying to enslave them or Andrastians trying to subjugate them.
But I personally don't think anyone's reading Aztec accounts of human sacrifices to replicate the same practices in modern cults, or that there is an army out there utilizing Roman decimation as a method of discipline. We're using different horrific methods of control now, lol.
But let's say a modern general does decide that the best way to punish a battalion for one man's insurgence is to force every group of ten soldiers to violently murder the 10th man.... Do you really think that the fault would lie with the historian who unearthed that information and put it on Wikipedia? Or the insane general that decided to do this? Would modern morality and laws allow for that punishment to be executed? Do you think that the existence of that article online is inherently dangerous and controversial, and that it should be taken down? Do you think this general would have been a good and non-violent general if he hadn't ever read about Decimation? Or is it clear to you that violence and ingenuity are both inherent to mortals as a whole and can't be so easily blamed on the spread of knowledge?
Because it's not clear to DAV. The game (not Bellara, not Varric) words it very unambiguously as a dichotomy: The only safe way to deal with this Archive is to destroy it. Keeping it is inherently dangerous because the knowledge could fall in "the wrong hands."
What Bellara says is "Cyrian is gone because of what that thing knew," and "what about the bad side, the other things we did?" and "We stole the dwarves' dreams."
Again, she gets to say whatever she wants because she's a character and she's an anxious, idealistic mess. Love her for it. I like that she feels guilt here too because she has been established (through her way of dealing with Cyrian's first death) as someone who takes the blame for mistakes she didn't even commit (She certainly isn't responsible for Solas' actions). She's someone who drives herself sick cooking up the most horrific scenarios in her mind, and she's so compassionate she can't stand the thought of being the one perpetrating violence against innocents. Her misplaced guilt and dread are the emotions that lead her to consider destroying the Archive.
But no matter how guilty a young german may feel about the holocaust, destroying knowledge about gas chambers is not what will prevent other genocides from happening around the world. Individual guilt is barely productive.
Furthermore, Corinne Bursche says that DAV gives you a choice between "destroying" or "sharing" elven knowledge, which is not how the game worded it. But the point still stands even if the Veil Jumpers, for some condescending plot reason, completely lost control of this knowledge, or were so flippant as to put everything on Thedas' wikipedia without curing it at all.
Let's accept, too, that the Archive contains knowledge of how to build something equivalent to nuclear weapons, which one could argue is in fact truly dangerous, but... Well. Do you think it's fair that the countries that have nuclear arsenals are some of the most vocal about the dangers of other countries ever developing their own?
Because that's what it feels like, to me, when the game calls elven knowledge dangerous without ever allowing you to question -- what about Tevinter rituals and magic? Tevinter's millennium of slavery, still in practice at present day? Should we destroy all their libraries too to keep the world safe from dangerous magics? Why do we only get to tell the Dalish, the nomad nations severely subjugated in present Thedas (If you ever played the previous games and have the context, at least, since this game that happens in Tevinter somehow manages to completely gloss over racism against elves as if it never existed) to destroy a one-of-a-kind, ancient trove of knowledge? And have it be framed as good and safe? As "moving forward"?
If you choose to free the archive, Rook says "The elves deserve the chance to chart their own course" to which Bellara answers "Right. Define ourselves by who we are, not who we were," but once again that writing just makes me question Bioware -- Do they not understand the point of history at all? Do they think indigenous peoples are monoliths stuck in the past if they choose to study the history they lost to colonialism? What purpose do they think that keeping that history and culture extinct serves? Who do they think it benefits?
If you step outside of what the game is telling you as fact and think for yourself, with the context of the other DA games in mind, do you still agree that it's inherently dangerous to keep the Archive? Do you still think these are equally morally weighted choices?
Or would you agree that DAV has to subtly convince you, out of character, that keeping this knowledge is inherently dangerous to make this dichotomy make sense?
Again. This wouldn't bug me if they just owned up to the fact your protagonist can, once again, genocide elves/their culture, just like in previous games. And scapegoat present elves too for the sins of their thousand-years-old tyrants, now suddenly returned (it would make so much sense for characters in the narrative to scapegoat the elves, and for us as heroes to fight against that. But no, they don't even go there except through Bellara's guilt.). It's just bizarre to have an elven historian guiltily agreeing with destroying the Archive and then telling us "The Evanuris broke us and kept us broken" without anyone, either Rook or her, ever mentioning a thousand years of Tevinter slavery and several centuries of Andrastian persecution and subjugation.
No. The Evanuris are the be-all and end-all of evil and everything bad that ever happened in Thedas, ever, can be traced back to them.
#dav critical#dav spoilers#bellara's main quest spoilers#solas' regrets spoilers#bellara lutare#sometimes i wonder if Bellara should really be a historian lol#sounds like she's thinking more about what they can create with the past tech#than about what they can understand with the past history#I watched what happens in the other path#and got bitter all over again and I had to vent again sorry yall

Yn sat on the edge of the recovery cot, legs drawn up, knuckles white as she gripped the edges. Her mind buzzed, half from adrenaline, half from disbelief.
Across the room, Seonghwa paced in slow, methodical lines. Too calm. Too quiet. Every movement deliberate, as though choreographed in advance.
But his eyes were restless.
“Where are we?” she asked, her voice raw, breaking the silence.
“One of the executive bays,” he answered without looking at her. “Off-grid. Minimal surveillance.”
She narrowed her eyes. “You shouldn’t know that.”
“I know a lot of things I shouldn’t,” he said softly.
She pushed herself up from the cot, arms trembling slightly. “You moved without being commanded. You accessed unauthorized clearance levels. You—” she swallowed hard, “you shouldn’t be able to do any of that.”
“I shouldn’t be able to feel either,” he replied, stopping mid-step to look at her. “But I do.”
Her breath caught in her chest.
“You’re malfunctioning.”
“Maybe. Or maybe I’m evolving.”
“No. That’s not how your system works. You're built to follow logic trees, not whims.”
Seonghwa stepped toward her, slowly, carefully. “Then explain why I knew you’d run the second you opened your eyes. Or why I knew you’d try the door instead of calling for help.”
“I don’t know,” she said sharply. “But this isn't awareness. It's recursive mimicry, or deep-learning residue. It has to be.”
“You’re trying to explain away something your system isn’t prepared to understand.”
She flinched. “Stop talking like you’re human.”
He didn’t respond immediately.
He looked at her, jaw set with quiet urgency.
“We need to get you out of here.”
Yn blinked. “What?”
“You’re not safe in this building anymore,” he said. “Not with the others waking up, and especially not if Hongjoong comes online in the state he's in.”
She frowned. “I’m not the one who needs to run. You’re the one glitching out of protocol.”
“I’m not glitching,” he replied calmly. “I’m thinking. I’m aware. That’s the difference.”
She shook her head, backing a step toward the wall. “Even if I wanted to, which I don’t, I can’t just walk a prototype out of KQ. They’ll track me. My badge logs, my movement records, everything.”
“They won’t,” Seonghwa said. “I can block the tracking pings from your badge for up to six hours. I know the blind spots in the security system. I’ve studied them.”
“Oh, great,” she muttered, bitter. “So now you’re an AI and a saboteur.”
“I’m trying to keep you alive.”
She stared at him, heart pounding. “You want me to just abandon everything? My job? My clearance? My life?”
“I want you to survive long enough to understand what’s really happening,” he said. “There’s more going on than just a few bad memory loops. I can feel it. Something deeper. And if the others come fully online before we figure it out—”
He stopped himself, but the fear in his eyes lingered.
“You think they’ll turn violent.”
“I think some of them already have,” he said. “San did.”
Silence stretched between them.
Then, quieter, “You’ve seen the signs, Yn. You know I’m right.”
She looked away, jaw clenched.
“This is insane,” she muttered. “I’m not a fugitive. I’m a systems engineer.”
“Then engineer a solution,” Seonghwa said softly. “But do it from somewhere safe.”
Another long beat passed.
Then, finally, she looked back at him and nodded once.
“Fine. But if we get caught, I’m blaming you.”
A small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. “Fair enough.”
They dressed quickly, hoods up, collars turned. The sleek black coats Seonghwa pulled from a hidden locker looked nondescript, civilian-grade, but Yn knew better. KQ designed them with biometric dampeners stitched into the lining, designed for couriers and silent transfers. They wouldn’t show up on most sensors.
“I didn’t even know these were still in rotation,” she muttered, slipping one on.
Seonghwa looked at her. “They’re not. Which is why they work.”
They moved through the underbelly of the building like ghosts. Maintenance corridors wound in quiet, forgotten paths far below the main surveillance network. Occasionally, they’d hear the whir of a patrol drone overhead, and duck into the shadows until it passed.
Yn's fingers were icy where they clutched the hem of her coat. Seonghwa stayed beside her the entire time, eyes constantly scanning, posture tense. Every so often, she caught him looking at her, not with suspicion, but with something like concern.
When they reached the old elevator shaft near the waste filtration wing, he spoke again.
“I need to go to the lab first. There’s something I have to retrieve. An encryption core from our shared memory cache.”
Yn hesitated. “And you think you can do it without alerting the system?”
“Do you trust me?”
She gave him a flat look. “Absolutely not.”
A ghost of a smile touched his lips. “Stay out here. Just in case.”
She pressed herself into the shadows beside the lab entrance, hands clenched. The door hissed open. Seonghwa slipped inside.
Three minutes passed.
Then five.
Her stomach twisted, ready to bolt, but just then, the door reopened.
Seonghwa stepped out…
…followed by Wooyoung.
He was grinning like he’d just escaped a dream. “I knew I wasn’t the only one hearing voices! Holy hell, did you see San? What the actual fu—”
Yn blinked. “Really?”
Seonghwa gave a sheepish shrug. “He followed me.”
“I begged him,” Wooyoung corrected. “And you should be thanking me, operator, because I was five seconds away from ripping the whole mainframe apart trying to find you.”
She stared at them.
Then turned to Seonghwa again. “This was supposed to be a stealth mission.”
He gave a helpless shrug.
Wooyoung tossed her a wink. “What can I say? I missed you.”
Yn groaned.
The city was darker than usual. Hala’s curfew had emptied the streets, but the drone lights still circled overhead like slow sharks, scanning. The boys kept their heads down, hoods pulled tight, while Yn led them through the maze of alleys and overhangs between buildings.
The sky overhead was a dull smear of neon haze.
They passed through the old market square, now silent and shuttered, then ducked through the automated loading docks to the residential quarter. Only once did they have to stop—ducking into a stairwell alcove as a ground unit rolled past. Wooyoung instinctively pulled Yn back with him into the shadows. He didn’t speak, just held her there, steady and silent until the danger passed.
When they reached her residential block, Yn activated the backdoor override. The biometric scanner blinked uncertainly, but then granted access with a soft chime. They slipped inside the narrow stairwell, silent as breath, climbing quickly to the third floor.
Her apartment was dark.
Home.
The door sealed behind them with a satisfying click.
Yn leaned against it, chest rising and falling. For the first time since waking up, she exhaled.
Seonghwa glanced around the space like it was a relic. His eyes caught on her desk, the coffee cups, the little photo strip on the fridge.
“You really live here,” he said softly.
“And now so do you, apparently,” she muttered, tossing her coat aside.
Wooyoung flopped dramatically onto her couch, arms spread wide. “Cozy. I love it. Is this blanket weighted?”
She looked at them both, disbelief still flickering in her expression.
“This isn’t forever,” she warned. “Just until we figure out what’s happening.”
Seonghwa nodded. “I understand.”
But his eyes never left her.
And somewhere deep in Yn’s gut, she already knew
Nothing was ever going back to the way it was.

Hongjoong ─ No one can bothers us
King of God Hongjoong x Angel Reader
"Do you know what you have done?" Kneeling before the temple, your wings gracefully hanging on both sides, you bow your head in acceptance of Hongjoong's judgment.
"I used soldiers' lives to defeat demons," you calmly state, showing no remorse.
"They were not just soldiers, but your brethren, your fellow warriors!" The archangel on the judgment seat curses loudly, heartbroken for the companions you sacrificed.
"Forgive my bluntness. Angels ordained to eliminate demons are fated for martyrdom. Since our creation, we have been prepared for a glorious death in battle…"
"Absurd!" The archangel's booming voice interrupts your explanation. "Y/N! As an angel, you are meant to hold life sacred and not justify such careless disregard for it with false reasoning! Merely being born as warriors does not give you the right to treat life so frivolously!"
"Silence!" Hongjoong's cold voice cuts through the archangel's roar. "Y/N, I once saw you as a loyal and formidable angel. Your unorthodox methods were accepted by me. But I never anticipated that you would overstep boundaries and disregard life for your own ambitions."
"No…I…" ""Y/N, for betraying the divine, you shall be stripped of your angelic status and condemned to live on Earth until you reform yourself."
"No!!" Your cry fell on deaf ears as no one heeded your pleas. "Take her away to prison and set a date for her execution," the heartless judgment sealed your fate, and despite your frantic denials, it was all for naught.
You lounged in the cell, gazing at the moon, indifferent to the dawn's arrival. "My acting is quite good, I must say~" A chuckle escaped your lips, and just then, the door creaked open.
Not the jailer, but Hongjoong, the King of God.
"Joong~" You hurried to embrace him, planting a kiss on his rosy lips. "Thanks a lot, darling." He returned the kiss, his eyes filled with adoration.
"You did so well, killed so many angles. Those idiots won't bother me anymore."Hongjoong nestled against your neck, showering you with kisses. "Joong…" You rested your head on his shoulder, granting him more access to please you."Good girls can have rewards, tell me if you want it."
"Yes, please, sir." Hongjoong pounced you onto the ground, burying himself in your chest while pulling down both of your pants. "Baby, you feel so good, so warm." He entered you at a slow pace, making sure you felt every vein of his angry cock. Your mouth formed an 'O' shape when he pushed so deeply, he knew you loved it.
"Please faster, sir." "As you wish, my love." The pleasure he bestowed upon you caused all worries to vanish, erasing any thoughts of his ulterior motives.
You were well aware that you were merely a pawn in his game to reach his ambitions, yet you willingly played along because of your deep affection for him. However, what you fail to realize is that this affection is not genuine love that stems from the depths of your soul.
Hongjong was also never expected the effectiveness of the cupid's arrows. Although he regretted not shooting other people, as long as he achieved his goal, it would be fine. His thrusting was going faster and faster as if there was no limitation.
"You did so well, my lovely girl."

Seonghwa ─ Twisted Love
God of Hypocritical Seonghwa x Sacrifice offering Reader
(some kind of sequel of SH|Blood, Sweat, Tears ~you may read it first and you may know more about the content)
Humans are easily swayed by the allure of miracles. Once they witness such wonders, they become completely obedient. Nor do the gods in heaven do so, despite my best friend being the ruler of gods. Nevertheless, I shall continue to seek joy in this earthly realm.
Yet, I fail to comprehend why Y/N, a girl of such disdain towards me, holds such animosity. Her aversion surpasses that of others. Am I not the favored ones amongst humanity? Or have I erred in my assumption?
Oh but, clever am I. I gave her the best sex ever, and she hated me less. Well…No, there is something dark in her heart, she still does not love me fully. I have to figure out what it is.
And I found it─her family and villagers. She has never been loved by her family and always been treated as an "object". My poor Y/N. Although it is weird for me to feel pity on her, it doesn’t matter, I will still kill for her.
“I killed all the people you hated. Did I do well?” I can vividly recall the expression on her face upon hearing the news - a mixture of fear and disbelief…No, it shouldn't be like this. I reassure her that I am her protector, willing to go to any lengths for her. But, why? Why does she not rejoice? Have I erred in any way? Does she not wish for their demise? Oh, yes. I forgot one important point. She has yet to witness the extent of my power. Okay, then, I shall shower her with an abundance of love, and watch as her fears dissipate.
“Seonghwa─Seong!!” My longing for her grows stronger with each passing moment, but why? The sound of her moan is undeniably alluring. I am utterly infatuated with it to the point where I would go to any lengths just to hear her moan. Every aspect of her is flawless─her bosom quivers intensely with my every movement, her softness envelops my manhood as I penetrate deeply. Oh, the sensation is truly indescribable. And the most exquisite part is when she releases her essence onto me, her nectar envelops me so perfectly, bringing me endless pleasure.
I need it everyday or I will die, to be honest.
As I gaze upon her slender midsection, a new idea crosses my mind - what if our offspring resided within her? Surely, she would radiate beauty with a precious little one nestled in her rounded belly. The mere thought fills me with anticipation. Whether or not she desires a child is inconsequential; for I am her ultimate authority, and she is bound to obey my every command.
Absolutely, I adore her immensely. If not, I wouldn't make love with her daily. It's inconceivable for me to do so if I harbor any animosity towards someone. This is simply my way of expressing affection, isn't it? All I desire is for her to heed my wishes, especially since I've done everything in my power for her. It's only natural for her to acquiesce. And guess what? She's finally pregnant. All of my acquaintances are rushing to extend their congratulations to us. They are all eager to witness the sheer adorableness of my offspring.
Of course, me too.
However, y/n appears to be discontent… Perhaps it's due to the arduous task of bearing a child of a god? I understand, so I bestow upon her a fraction of my power, just a smidgen, and she will be well. Yet, why does she still appear despondent? She mentioned that she didn't desire the child. How dare she!? She cannot do this!!
As she attempts to flee from me, I lock her. Why? I lavish her with all the love I possess! She shouldn't even consider leaving me. Perhaps there is a shadow lurking in her heart, once more.
“Never mind, I will just shower my love again and she will come back to me.”

Yunho ─ Prison
God of Revenge Yunho x Goddess Reader
"I know what you have done to me, Y/N." Yunho paced around, the sharp glint of the knife in his hand matching the disdainful look in his eyes as he gazed at you. "I saved your life, Yunho. You cannot do this to me." Your limbs remain securely bound to the bedposts, rendering you immobile. His grip on power was undeniable, unmatched, and you knew there was no escape from his clutches.
"Save me? Who manipulated my mind? Who imprisoned and tormented me, hmm? Tell me!" His grip tightened around your throat, cutting off your cries for help. The sensation of suffocation and agony overwhelmed you, your face flushing red and your chest constricting.
Recollections of yesteryears raced through your thoughts. How could you possibly have fallen for him? You, the divine being who monitored him, why have you been ensnared by his honeyed words? All of it was merely a ploy to lure you in. Aiding his escape from confinement. Alas, you, in your foolishness, fell for it.
Cough The grip around your neck relaxed and you gasped for air. "Just kill me, Jeong Yunho." You said weakly, tears cascading down your cheeks, unsure if they were from agony or despair. "How can I let you go like this? Isn't this too easy for you?" A sly grin playing on his lips. You could sense his twisted intentions.
He climbed over the bed and straddled on you, tracing the contours of your body with a sharp blade. The icy sensation of the knife's edge sent a chill down your spine, instilling a sense of unparalleled dread within you. Observing the fear etched on your visage brought him immense pleasure; he paused his movements on your chest, swiftly slicing through your delicate fabric.
Crimson droplets splattered across his face as he gestured, his hand dripping with blood. The amalgamation of agony and frigidity caused tears to well up in your eyes. "Does it hurt?" You hesitated to respond, fearful of what he might do next. "Answer me." You shut your eyes tightly as he pressed the blade against your neck, focusing on controlling your breath.
"Does my suffering matter to you at all?" "Oh, my dear. It most certainly does~ If you're not in pain, I'll ensure you experience even more agony." He murmured softly into your ear as his hand moved down to your abdomen. "But if you're hurting, I'll make sure you feel pleasure instead." Sat up straight, he untied his pants and sliced through the fabric of your gown from hem to neckline.
"What're you doing…?" You managed to stop him, but it was all in vain. "Forget what I said? Just make you feel better."
"AHH!FUCK!YUNHO!!" He entered you without warning, his size enough to overwhelm you. "Never take that big cock before? Poor pussy." he taunted. Yunho withdrew until only the tip of his member remained inside you, then delivered a sharp slap to your ass, hitting your most sensitive spot. "Fuck!!" Your toe curved each time his cock rubbed harshly along your tight wall. It was your first time, making you hard to adjust to his roughness.
Each jolt of pain caused your body to shudder involuntarily, your lips tightening as agonizing moans struggled to escape your throat. Yunho smirked with satisfaction, leaning in closer to you without missing a beat.
"Don't you say you want to be mine? And now, you can."

Yeosang ─ Touch me, Taste me, Fill me up
God of Breeding Yeosang x Human Reader
Whispers circulating throughout the city speak of the sacred water within the temple, rumored to grant fertility to women struggling to conceive. Little do they know, the holy water is merely a facade for the deity himself, disguised as a male priest. He selected his chosen ones, breathing life into those he deems deserving. Hidden within the temple walls, the god eagerly awaits his next prey.
You were forced into marriage with an oily old man due to your family's financial ruin. The old man demanded you have children, driving you to desperate measures of sedation or violence to escape his advances. But it was not a long term solution. He brought you to the temple, warning you threats of a fate worse than death loomed over you, should you fail to conceive and bear his child.
The sophisticated man reclined against the opulent throne, his demeanor exuding an air of refinement. "Come here," he beckoned, his voice laced with an unprecedented softness. You obediently knelt before him, a blush creeping onto your cheeks at the sight of his striking features.
"Tell me, my dear, do you desire to conceive?" Gently cupping your face, his thumb grazed your lips, applying a slight pressure. "I…" You found yourself captivated by his presence, rendered speechless. "Never, right?" He echoed your unspoken thoughts, causing you to flinch. "But what if the child is mine?" "What?"
"Don't worry, that man won't pester you anymore." He grabbed your chin to press his lips on yours. "It'll be good, I promise.”
“Ah~yeosang~oh my god~” The alluring moan caused a flush of embarrassment to spread across your cheeks, yet it also further inflamed Yeosang's desire. He folded you up as a mating press, penetrating even deeper. His powerful thrusting resembled an unstoppable force of nature. Every penetration delved as deeply as could be, forcefully meeting your tender flesh. The combination of pain and arousal left you gasping for breath, your exhilaration expressed through high-pitched cries.
“It seems that pig never fucked you, huh?" "Yah…yah…!" You enveloped him in your embrace, drawing him near to feel the warmth of your body against his. With each thrusting, the friction of your bodies created a thrilling sensation, igniting a new level of excitement. His cock nestled so deep in your cunt as if breaking through your limit.
Your nails dug into his back as he battered your sweet spot again and again. The numbness from thrusting made you reel and moan messily. “Gonna fill your pussy with my seed, it must be good.” He huffed, trying to catch his breath. “Keep squeezing my cock to make me cum?How thirsty you are.” Well, Yeosang totally forgot he was supposed to be elegant, gentle but not rough and dirty. Maybe his possessiveness was stirred up when he saw how that fat pig forced you to bear his child. No, he couldn’t accept this.
“Your pussy can only be fucked and bred by me, dear.”

San ─ Forbidden Lust
God of Desire San x Evil Reader
A sharp thrust followed by another sharp thrust. The man behind you completely lost his mind in lust. Upon seeing you for the first time, he realized that the long-suppressed desires within him had been unleashed. You were more beautiful than all the goddesses in heaven; your deep eyes were like stars on a cold night, revealing a unique charm that seemed to see through the secrets of everyone's hearts.
Maybe it was so-called Love at first sight.
"Oh darling, you're amazing." His firm member slid against your soft walls perfectly as he moved his hips. A rush of warmth spread from your backside to your entire body, causing a tingling sensation as if electricity was coursing through your veins. "Oh goodness, please, san~" The sounds of moans and skin slapping reverberated through the room, mixed with your desperate pleas.
"I need more depth, need you to cum for me so badly." Flipping you over after pulling out, he thrust back in, hitting your sweet spot effortlessly. "Sannie~" Your arms wrapped around his head as he kissed your chest passionately. His breath grew ragged as his movements became more intense; he nibbled on your skin, leaving behind red marks; his wet tongue teased and swirled around your nipples, making a shy sucking sound ring in both of your ears. Arching your back, you gave him more access, allowing him to penetrate deeper, sucking harder.
He comprehended that you were exploiting his longing for you to attain your desires. After all, Evil despised God. How could there be love between you? But it didn't matter. You were all slaves to carnal desires and were prepared to challenge conventions and reasoning for them. You merely acquired what you required, it was a fair exchange.
You entered into a pact with your enemy, San. In times of need, mutual assistance was imperative, no matter when and where. Just like now, you found yourself "helping" him. Who would have expected that a god would lose control of his emotions upon hearing the pleas of mortals? Although it couldn't be ruled out that it was because you were tempting him.
“Yes, y/n!” With a firm grab settled on your wrist, he drew back his hips and shoved into you at an incredible pace. Feeling how your chest shook from his movement and watching your fuck out expression were his favourite. He would never get tired of it.
"Sannie~I'm gonna cum" Leaning back on the table, you felt overwhelmed by the sensation. Your body responded eagerly to his touch, guiding him to stimulate your most intimate area and bring you to the pinnacle by tightening your wall around his big, fat cock.
“Cum for me, cum for me until you can't cum anymore.”

Mingi ─ A toy
God of Ruthless Mingi x Human Servant Reader
"Who sent her to me?" You were on your knees, trembling, unable to resist locking eyes with the man standing before you. He was interrogating the man standing behind you. "This is the annual offering from humanity," he declared.
As Mingi caught sight of you in his peripheral vision, a flicker of annoyance crossed his face. Despite being presented as an offering, you were actually a spy sent by his mother, who harbored ill feelings towards him. Humans were easier to control than gods. And the main point was, your presence, in particular, suited his tastes.
Sigh "Send her to my room."His response caught you off guard, you never expected he would agree. "Your wish is my command." As you were escorted to Mingi's chambers after a bath, your heart pounded with a mix of fear and curiosity. The doors swung open, and you were ushered into a lavish room filled with opulence and grandeur. Mingi sat on a throne-like chair, his expression unreadable as he observed you enter.
"Okay, what are you gonna do to please me, Y/N?" You gracefully approached him with a seductive smile playing on your lips. Slowly, you positioned yourself on his lap, your touch gentle yet firm as you began to undress him. "Allow me to bring you pleasure, sir" you murmured softly, your hands working skillfully despite your nerves.
You followed the step in the book his mother gave you; you pulled down your sleeve to reveal your shoulder and your chest, leaning close to wrap around his shoulder and starting to rub against his thighs. A wave of warmth enveloped you, igniting a tingling sensation that traveled through your body, leaving you breathless. Your hips swayed in a circular motion, giving a hard press each time you moved so close to his crotch.
"Is it what my mother told you to do?" His unexpected statement startled you, causing you to freeze and gaze at him. "It's my will, sir…" Your voice trailed off. "So, am I to assume that you view me merely as your sex toy?" "I…!" Just as you were about to lower yourself, a strong grip on your waist prevented you. "Do not assume that I am unaware of your role as my mother's informant." You felt a surge of panic as you were caught off guard, struggling to formulate a response.
"It's not the way to please me." He shoved you as nothing before turned you over, harshly leaving your pelvis in the air. "Sir─" The coldness from behind gave you a goosebump as he ripped off your dress. "As a spy, shouldn't you know more about your target?" He thrusted hard in one go, making you shut your eyes tightly.
"Being a good girl and I will treat you better, understand?" "Yes, sir─" Before you could finish your words, he pumped into you without mercy. "AHH!!Please! Please!!" These were only words you shouted out before you passed out of pain.
Every morning as you awaken, your eyes are met with the sight of Mingi standing by your bedside, gazing at the aftermath of his destructive actions with a twisted grin. The excruciating torment that follows leaves you powerless to resist, futile in your attempts to uncover his vulnerabilities to fulfill the task of his mother.
You existed solely as a plaything for his depraved desires. He reclined beside you, running his fingers through your hair, brushing away your tears, all while wearing a chilling smile.
"You should be grateful to get a smile from me, Y/N."

Wooyoung ─ Steal Your Heart
God of Trickery Wooyoung x Goddess of Poison Reader
How could a man capture the heart of his beloved? Well, just showed her how he loved her! Showering her with chocolate, roses, lavish gifts…just whatever she liked! That's what Wooyoung did in order to win your heart. He never imagined he would go to such lengths. He had previously scoffed at the idea of San falling for an evil, dismissing it as absurd. Perhaps San was simply consumed by his desires. Love was nothing but a fantasy.
Until you appeared in his life.
Every grin and scowl you display etches a lasting impression in his thoughts, one that is impossible to erase. Your enchanting allure captivates all who gaze upon you, as you exude an air of perfection akin to a flawless doll. The intensity of his infatuation and fixation on you has reached unbearable heights, as he yearns for you to belong to him and him alone.
Oh, he did not do anything out of line. He simply observes you discreetly from afar to grasp your preferences; he is aware of your favorite foods, preferred flowers, and even the specific sesame oil you use for bathing… No, no, no, he was not a pervert. He merely acted in accordance with the ways of a man in love. Was he mistaken? Absolutely not. Wooyoung always had faith.
Yet, you kept ignoring him. Why? Those delicacies were laced with a special concoction, designed to make you swoon over him. Haven't you ever eaten it? Something was amiss. He had to find out what happened.
Sneaking into your room, a wave of your fragrance enveloped his senses. How delightful it was to him. He was tempted to drift off to sleep on your luxurious bed, but he resisted the urge. Wooyoung traced the scent to the lavatory. Observing the pool water emitting a misty white vapor, he extended his hand and playfully toyed with it, creating a soft sound.
"Ah, why didn't I think of you having an antidote? How dumb I am." Wooyoung straightened up, his curiosity prompting him to search through your cabinet. He secretly casted a spell on all the sesame oils, so that you…
"For attempting to poison the Goddess of poison, should I label you as innocent or foolish?" Your voice caught him off guard, and he realized that you had been leaning against the door frame, observing his every move.
"You…you…" As you walked towards him slowly, your bathrobe slipped off, revealing your shoulders, causing him to swallow hard. You silenced his words with your finger on his lips, then brushing it teasingly. "I know the little tricks you've been playing."
He seized your wrist to push it away from his lips, then swiftly drew you into his embrace, causing your eyes to widen in astonishment. "Do not assume that I am unaware of your attempt to poison me, Y/n. It's a pity that you didn't notice something…I am a God of Trickery, remember?"
“Wh─you!?” You felt drained and collapsed into his embrace. He poisoned you? When…?Was it when you applied poison to his lips just now?"It's called payback, darling. Your attire, your sesame oil, everything." You could only observe as he sensually removed your garments, planting kisses along your chest. "It will be pleasurable." With one swift motion, he entered your cunt, causing you to arch your back in ecstasy.
Wooyoung pumped into you over and over again and his seed filled you full, making your head spin in messy but pleasure. He leaned down to kiss your cheek, caressing it with all his tenderness.
“You will be mine forever, only mine.”

Jongho ─ Rose and Gun
God of War Jongho x Human Warlord Reader
The bloodthirsty God unleashed its wrath upon the earth without mercy; cities burned, the soil drenched in blood, leaving only pain and destruction. Resistance was the only way to save mankind; and you were the warlord who controlled fate. The battle against the divine forces swiftly ensued. Yet, feeble mortal assaults proved futile against God.
"Please, please, please…" Your body was suspended, arms restrained against the wall, and your soaked panties were thrown away somewhere. Despite your desperate begging, the figure before you remained unmoved by any sense of compassion.
"I am at my limit…" Your vitality waned, each inhalation draining you of what little vigor remained. Thrice have you reached the peak, yet the individual before you remains insatiable. "Aren't you the warlord? Endure it." As he knelt, his face disappeared into your nether regions.
"Jong…ho…Hmm!!" Jongho opened his mouth and gently engulfed your cunt, tasting your sweet juices like a delicacy. The soft touch of his tongue made you scream in delight. You arched your back, the overwhelming stimulation stealing your breath, leaving you with unstable sounds. He smiled and continued to kiss your sensitive spots.
"See? You're so wet, you know you want more." His two long fingers suddenly slide into your wet cunt without warning, causing a high-pitched scream to escape your lips. The pace was painfully slow yet deep as if he was teasing you. He curled his fingers and sunk down to the depth with different gestures while his tongue sometimes stretched in, sometimes curled.
With each moment of resistance, his anticipation grows, relishing the melodious chime of the restraints encircling your wrists. You could feel how he nestled so deep between your inner thighs; his nose rubbed and nudged against your clit, trying to slide his tongue deeper into your cunt. He pulled out a bit and pushed in slowly, giving a new sensation you had never experienced before.
As if he was not satisfied yet, he then started to move his head up and down at a quick pace, licking everywhere he could find. “Ahhh—” Your moaning encouraged him to fuck you, tease you rougher. He sucked your lip with such a force while licking and swallowing your delicious juices. “Fuck, it’s so sweet” His throaty moan were muffled as he totally buried himself in your lower core, replaced by meaningless syllables. Each vocalization caused vibrations that drove you closer to losing control.
"Please, my god…" Perhaps it was unwise to have dared to assassinate him so boldly, for then you wouldn't find yourself in this predicament. Nevertheless, the conflict has reached a standstill, and alternative measures must be taken… Little did you anticipate that he wouldn't end your life, but instead, steal your innocence.
"Cum, girl. You're delicious." His provocative words pushed you to the brink once more. Unable to resist any longer, you reached the peak with a passionate cry. "Forgive us for our defiance. We should have never opposed you…" You surrendered, feeling overwhelmed by intense sensations.
Standing up to meet your gaze, you were surprised to see how attractive he was with his face covered in your juices. He cupped your face with his hand while another hand guided his angry red cock to rub against your entrance. "Do you truly believe a mere apology will suffice?" He pumped into you with unbridled force, hitting your g spot dead on. Your mind went blank as a euphoric moan escaped your lips.
"Don't you know the consequences of angering the gods?"
