some screenshots of a desert palace that @cookieg122 and I started some time ago! we've since moved this build elsewhere and are starting from scratch to make a Bigger and Better version for our giant desert town (that I might share in the future if we can get it finished!), but I'm still quite happy with how this smaller, cozier palace turned out! :'D

got a few pics of the bathhouse in the back as well - we'll be repurposing it somewhere in the new town, but for now it's still part of this older build. I thought it would be a nice addition to this post, though!

(ignore the mess on the right side of the palace tho, lol... we have plans to move all of that to a nearby jungle but we haven't gotten around to it yet haha)

tbh I'll never truly consider genAI to be a threat to art because humanity's capacity to create things is literally our most powerful strength and calling as a species. It's the instinct that advanced our species to this point, and onward. No matter how big and scary genAI feels, people will always continue to create no matter what. Humans can literally lose their limbs and still make art with their mouths. Like absolutely nothing can stop us.

After what feels like ages, i have finally gotten 80% of the command blocks done for “Blood on the Clocktower” but done in minecraft!!! My friend suggested me to help them with the “programming” and I really like learning the java command block system!!! I am actually so excited since this would be the first map i actually released and didn’t make just for me and some friends to play!!! Of course i need to ask all my buddies if they’re okay with me releasing the map on planet minecraft again since there’s new people on it and such but all of the commands are super slick, especially with java’s components. Honestly it wasn’t too much, since they’re a so many good online tools to help create it!! It’s going to be lit!!!!

So who the [OLM] is AvidMC?

Avid is one of many new guys on the block for Misadventures SMP, but he’s not new at all! He’s been around since at least 2023, but this is his really big start (and we’re all very very proud of him).

You might remember him from MCC3 Red Rabbits, which is the team Oli coached.

Avid’s YouTube, Twitch, Bluesky and Twitter. He also makes music and posts it to bandcamp + Spotify!

What has Avid done before this?

Avid is the creator of Avid Adventures, a fantasy adventure Minecraft map that has a ton of heart, a large story, and lore behind its creation. It’s the main series on his channel and what he calls his baby, working on it for over 3 years now!!

He’s also been a part of Skyblock Kingdoms SMP and Gilded Hardcore.

What’s the deal with the spaceship?

The Avid in Misadventures is the one from Avid Adventures- enderman cursed, previously trapped in Limbo for a millennia but remembers none of it, had his soul split, and is being possessed by Something, probably Olm. The fandom calls him AAvid, and unless someone comes up with a cooler name that’s what we’re calling him.

EDIT: Misadventures Avid has been nicknamed Misvid!

Last we saw of him he was team rocket blasting off after completing the update bug fixing for the map, and now we know where he’s at! Yaaaaaay!

Hades laughs at her. She would go kill him (in game), but neither of them knows where the heck Hades is (Morgie turned off commands because it's boring to play with them, so no teleportation for them)

But when she dies, she rages more than Uliana. One time Uliana punched her off a cliff when she was on shift. Uliana has never heard that many curses and insults used in such way, in her whole life. Girl was so shocked she forgot to feel offended. Hades laughed so hard, he started hyperventilating, and at some point Morgie thought he died. Hook was a little bit terrified, and Morgie confused. After the outburst, she logged off and wasn't answering calls or messages from anybody for the rest of the day.

When in a cave, he will get back when he runs out of picaxes, food, or inventory space (Hades doesn't use torches; he just sets the brightness on max), but then he doesn't know the way back and digs his way out. Of course, when he reaches the top, he doesn't know where he is anyway, and Hook needs to go get him.

Gives all the diamonds and netherite to Maleficent, which annoys the rest because they have to literally beg her to give them some, and she is having too much fun with that power. Hook once asked him to give him some diamonds. He just looked at him for 5 seconds then turned around and to gave it all to Maleficent.

Visions of Violet

aka a Tubbo-centric QSMP/VH crossover AU, set during the events of Purgatory

Tubbo is CaptainSparkles and Iskall's son

some time before the start of the QSMP, the Federation yoinked Tubbo for...reasons, which eventually resulted in the other islanders finding him (and the others) in the ice prison

although the Federation attempted to completely wipe Tubbo's memories of his life before the island, he frequently has dreams of people and places he knew before, especially the Vault Hunters

while Jordan is Ianite's champion still, Tubbo does have a connection to her, which he regains during the first Purgatory

Player data/code is an in-world thing, and it can be manipulated either by the player (via glamours, to hide or change their appearance) or can be influenced by powerful beings

^ Tubbo's appearance when he's freed from the ice prison is mostly human, but with pointed ears and horns

The Observer/Watcher in Purgatory is a fallen Watcher, also for reasons

Purgatory is a bit tweaked bc of the time limits, the fact that you can't actually live off of tea, and Tubbo's two-day absence to stream on national television gets an in-world excuse

obviously a Soulfire POV interpretation of Purgatory, but everyone's having a bad time and no one is exempt from doing wrong, here

characters that have had their relationships with Tubbo explored so far: Bad, Tina, Fit, Pac, Niki, Phil

characters that will have their relationships with Tubbo explored/further explored by the end of this fic: Etoiles, Bagi, probably more Fit+ Pac (although if I get to the third fic in this series, that's peak morning crew hours), definitely more with Phil, inevitably more with Bad and Tina

If I get through the trilogy of fics, I'm also trying to tie up as many loose ends from the main QSMP cannon as possible. I don't think I'll be fitting in Creation lore (as much as I love it, it doesn't fit super well in this AU), but so far I have ideas to address:

why the Federation exists/its end goals/why the islanders were taken to begin with

why Tubbo specifically ended up in the ice prison, and when

mapping out the universe to make real-world countries and also Minecraft make sense (a little silly but important to me)

why the Watcher exists and why he's there. Also why the Little Buddies are a thing and why they're important

Again bro I think this is something you need to work on I literally played solo Minecraft as a child and built huge structures just for the joy of creating. I never played with anyone or even showed them to anyone. I just did it because it was fun and cool and at the end I was proud of myself for what I had made. Find joy in creation please 🙏
