hello :) i’m trying to improve my gut health so i was wondering if you know what i should eat / take to have a healthy gut? thank you ♡
Hi angel <3
Eat foods like whole grains, fruits, vegetables, legumes, and nuts are high in fiber, which can promote the growth of beneficial gut bacteria.
Fermented foods like yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, olives, pickles, kimchi, and kombucha contain probiotics that can help balance your gut flora.
Prebiotic foods feed the good bacteria in your gut. Examples include garlic, onions, leeks, asparagus, bananas, berries, tomatoes.
Drinking enough water helps keep your digestive system working well. Add some lemon in your water too.
High-sugar and low-fiber processed foods can negatively impact gut health. Limit the amount of processed foods you eat.
Stress can affect your gut health, so try meditation or yoga.
Try to get 7-9 hours of quality sleep per night.
Exercising regularly also helps support a healthy gut.
Eat less sugar and artificial sweeteners.
Drink bone broth daily. It helps with intestinal healing and prevents diseases.
Make sure you are taking enough magnesium.
I will write a gut healthy grocery list on a separate post :)

new series coming
spicy try to commit to a series challenge (impossible)
so like, my stomach and intestines are threatening to quit paying rent and move elsewhere so i need to eat less Slop. for this reason i went to the store today to buy healthy snacks like cut fruit and nuts. i probably wouldnt have done the following if i didnt click on someones blog post about it, but because i read a blog post about a prebiotic and probiotic sodas ranking, i was reminded of my previous attempt to rank the different poppi flavors that i eventually forgot about.
because my "fun" budget is basically a suggestion at this point (i need to figure out yet another new system for that), and i still live with my parents, there is not much risk in buying $40 worth of prebiotic/probiotic sodas and regretting it later. but maybe i wont regret it later?
so today i bought several different brands and flavors of pre/obiotic sodas (excluding poppis since ive already tried most of the flavors available to me) to try. ive popped them in the fridge since im not a huge fan of room temp sodas and will begin trying them throughout the week. ill have 1-2 of these a day, going by brand, and give them each a rating from 1 to 10.
i have not had poppis in a while (aside from the strawberry lemon and the ginger lime) so i may buy some later to refresh my brain on them. expect a post within the next couple of days since there was not a lot of pre/obiotic sodas to choose from at the store i went to.
#ranking#tiermaker#rating#soda#prebiotic soda#probiotic soda#poppi#spindrift#popwell#cove probiotic soda#culture pop#pop jones#i forgot to buy olipops because they were on the other side of the store and only one flavor sounded interesting to me in the first place#out of the like five flavors in total that they had. plus they were one of the most expensive ones#simply pop will not be included because theyre coca cola brand and coca cola has been very evil lately#please let me know quickly if any of the other brands ive listed here are coca cola and i will return them#but as far as my google searches have gone they should all be ok?#i think?

The Importance of Gut Health: Foods and Habits to Improve Digestion
Gut health plays a crucial role in overall wellness, influencing everything from digestion and immune function to mental health and energy levels. The gut, often referred to as the “second brain,” contains trillions of bacteria and other microorganisms that work together to break down food, absorb nutrients, and protect against harmful pathogens. Maintaining a healthy gut is essential for…

To give some background, Sickle cell anemia patients suffer from oxidative stress due to chronic inflammation and self-oxidation of sickle hemoglobin. It is this reality that led many to explore treatment through anti-oxidant influences. While research on the effects of acacia gum specifically in sickle cell anemia is limited, there is some evidence to suggest that certain components found in acacia gum, such as polyphenols and dietary fiber, may have positive effects on blood parameters and overall health. Polyphenols, which are plant compounds with antioxidant properties, have been investigated for their potential to reduce oxidative stress and inflammation associated with sickle cell disease. Dietary fiber, which is highly present in acacia gum, may have a positive influence on gastrointestinal health and gut microbiota. Maintaining a healthy gut microbiome is important for individuals with sickle cell anemia, as they are more prone to infections due to their compromised immune system.

This Prebiotic-Rich Moisturizer Has Given Me the Healthiest Skin of My Life
It's formulated with goat milk.
By Marcio "MZA"

"Probiotics" and "prebiotics" are buzzwords often thrown around in the skincare and wellness industries. Still, many people don't even understand how they work, why they're good for us, and how we should use them. After all, who wants to put bacteria on their skin? Especially if you already deal with acne.
It's me. I'm people. So just hear me out on this one.
I’ve dealt with acne since my teenage years, and despite having access to the best products and in-office treatments on the market, it never seems to go away. This rings especially true in the winter months when my skin becomes parched from the dry air and harsh winds, and since I've struggled to find a thick moisturizer that doesn't break me out (until now), my skin reacts to the weather and I suffer the consequences. So, when I learned about pre- and probiotics my initial reaction was to say "no, thank you." However, after using Beekman 1802's Bloom Cream moisturizer for a few weeks my skin completely transformed — and now I wax poetic about it every chance I get.
The reason most heavy moisturizers make me break out is because they use comedogenic ingredients that do a great job at sealing in moisture but clog my pores. This one, however, does not.
Its postbiotic-rich formula is filled with an elegant cocktail of moisturizing sunflower seed oil, calming aloe extract, nourishing honey, collagen-boosting whey protein, and a plethora of other common skin-friendly ingredients. What makes this moisturizer so unique is that it adds goat milk prebiotic, milk postbiotic, and healing Epsom salts.

Buy on AMAZON 54U$
What's more, despite feeling rich and thick, it absorbs quickly into the skin and feels lightweight and pillow-y. The formula is delectable, and I love that now I don't have to sacrifice a clear complexion for a moisturized one. I can have my cake and eat it too.
From non-toxic makeup and skincare to sustainability practices, Clean Slate is an exploration of all things in the green beauty space. Find out what's really in your products — and what's being left out.

Review: How PrimeBiome™ Transformed My Digestive Comfort and Skin Clarity
I’ve spent years battling unpredictable bloating and occasional skin flare-ups, trying everything from strict diets to topical treatments—often with only temporary relief. Six weeks ago, I decided to add PrimeBiome™ to my daily routine, and the results have been impressive.
Digestive Improvements Within the first ten days, I noticed my stomach felt less “heavy” after meals. The blend of resilient probiotic strains, like Bacillus coagulans, and prebiotic inulin appeared to rebalance my gut flora, reducing post-lunch bloating and gas. Regularity improved too—I no longer relied on coffee as a makeshift laxative.
Skin Benefits Around week four, my complexion began to clear. Dark under-eye circles lightened, and minor redness around my jawline diminished. While I still follow a gentle skincare regimen, I attribute much of this change to reduced systemic inflammation—an indirect benefit of a healthier gut.
Flavor & Convenience The citrus-flavored gummies are surprisingly pleasant, making it easy to remember my daily dose. I appreciate that they require no refrigeration, so even on busy mornings or during travel, I never miss a serving.
Educational Takeaways
Maintaining a balanced microbiome is key for both digestion and skin health.
Probiotics alone aren’t enough—feeding those microbes with prebiotics (inulin) is crucial.
Gut-soothing botanicals like aloe vera and slippery elm can reinforce digestive lining integrity.
Call to Action If lingering bloating or persistent skin issues are holding you back, consider exploring how PrimeBiome™ might help. Learn more here on the official site.

Probiotics vs. Prebiotics: Demystifying the Duo Your Gut (and Skin!) Needs
You're probably already familiar with how your gut health affects your skin, mood, and digestion, but to really unlock your inner glow, you need to understand two gut powerhouses:
👉 Probiotics (the good bacteria) 👉 Prebiotics (the food that helps them thrive)
They may sound similar, but their roles are unique—and they’re better together. Let’s break it down.
🧫 What Are Probiotics?
Probiotics are live bacteria that boost your gut health and help:
Balance your gut microbiome
Improve digestion
Support immune function
Produce vitamins and gut-healing compounds like SCFAs
Top probiotic foods:

Yogurt (with live cultures)
Kefir
Kimchi
Sauerkraut (unpasteurized)
Kombucha
Miso, tempeh, fermented pickles
🧠 Pro tip: Look for "live and active cultures" on labels to ensure you're getting real benefits.
🌱 What Are Prebiotics?
Prebiotics are fibers your body can’t digest—but your good bacteria love them.
They help:
Feed existing beneficial bacteria
Boost production of anti-inflammatory SCFAs
Strengthen your gut lining
Top prebiotic foods:

Garlic & onions
Leeks, asparagus
Green bananas
Oats, apples (with skin)
Flaxseeds, legumes, chicory root
🌟 Why You Need Both – The Dynamic Duo
Probiotics = the workers
Prebiotics = their food
Together, they create synbiotics, which is when these two forces combine for maximum gut & skin health.
Neglecting one weakens the other. But when combined, they improve:
Gut balance
Nutrient absorption
Skin clarity and hydration
Mood and immunity
🍽️ Simple Ways to Get More Probiotics & Prebiotics
🧁 Breakfast: Oats with green bananas, flaxseeds, yogurt 🥗 Lunch/Dinner: Add kimchi or sauerkraut, cook with garlic & onions 🥤 Snacks: Kombucha or apple slices with skin 🌮 Sides: Add beans or lentils to meals

💧 Don’t forget to hydrate—fiber needs water to work properly!
✨ Bonus Tips
Rotate probiotic foods to get diverse strains
Introduce slowly to avoid bloating
Check labels: unpasteurized = probiotic-friendly
Go for whole plant foods = natural prebiotic fiber
🌿 Let Your Gut Glow from the Inside Out
By fueling your gut with both probiotics and prebiotics, you're building a more balanced microbiome—which leads to:
Radiant, clear skin
Better digestion
Boosted immunity
Reduced inflammation
