🦂 I think people who have their chiron in the 3rd/7th or 11th house may experience significant insecurity about posting on social media and being in front of a camera, or even commenting under various posts online. They often overthink the things they put out online/the things they were going to post online 😭 and also if they post pictures/videos they might rewatch the picture/video 984726261 times and often find a SOME tiny fault and convince themselves to delete whatever it is that they have posted. This placement can create a deep-seated fear of judgment and a tendency to second-guess every public interaction

🦂I have noticed that scorpio moons and capricorn moons have very involved and critical mothers/parents, exhibiting behaviors typical of helicopter parenting. this is a genuine question-- not trying to bait. you seem reasonable and knowledgeable and opinionated about lots of issues.

what's your opinion/ stance on paraphilias? how do you see the distinctions between "kink" "fetish" and "paraphilia"? and any other takes you have about "harmful" paraphilias that you don't see discussed often, etc.

Some general thoughts on the topic:

I am strongly against the idea of thoughts or feelings alone bearing moral weight. I think the idea that they do does far more harm than good, as it puts pressure on people to micromanage their internal experiences through shame, and that prevents them from being able to have a calm and reasonable understanding of their own thoughts and feelings. When you aren't afraid of having thoughts or feelings, it is much easier to identify how they influence and make choices accordingly.

All of these categories are made up by people, so I don't think there necessarily are distinctions. IIRC "paraphilia" is a specifically psychiatric term. As people have discussed elsewhere, what is considered normal sexuality vs abnormal sexuality varies heavily across cultures, and I'm not super concerned with making a clear cut distinction for every experience. I think all things considered that the medical model of "it's not a clinical issue unless it's causing problems in your life & harm to yourself or others" is a good enough way of approaching things.

I think a lot of people conflate having certain thoughts or feelings with having impulse control issues, and assume that people with certain thoughts or feelings must be incapable (or will inevitably fail at) exercising their free will in navigating those feelings. Which ironically can create a self-fulfilling cycle where people get scared or ashamed of their feelings and never practice relating to them in healthy ways, so they do feel out of control. And for people with impulse control issues, they deserve support and assistance in that.

I choose to believe and act as though everyone has inherent worth and dignity on an existential level, and that cannot be changed or destroyed. No kind of sexual desire makes someone less of a person, or less deserving of being taken seriously and compassionately as a person.

Harm, both doing and receiving it, is an inevitable part of life and we will never get rid of this. The best way to deal with the inevitability of harming and being harmed is to build and maintain practices that help is navigate healing those harms.

I guess my "opinion on paraphilias" is that to a large degree it's none of my business what goes on in other people's minds, that shame and the model of thoughtcrime does more harm than good to everyone, people should be allowed to engage in weird sex stuff alone or with others who are consenting without having to justify themselves to strangers. Sex stuff and relates issues can be scary and complicated but we have to be brave about it and come up with ways of navigating these issues that are best for everyone, holistically.

✫ Sonic is very impulsive and playful but when his partner is in danger he's very attentive. He's not overwhelming though.. He'll trust they can handle themselves and step in if he feels necessary (though sometimes it's not... He just wants to be her hero)

✫ He isn't very serious so he doesn't get jealous easily. That said, if someone is showing a little too much interest in his partner he will resolve it with humor-making sure it's clear they're taken. Something like wrapping his arm around their shoulder and tease "Sorry, buddy, this one's already reserved!".. Though if he sees that she seems to be enjoying herself with someone else, he might try to steal the spotlight sparking unnecessary competition.

✫ He's really big on teasing. Like he's the kind of person to tap the opposite side of her shoulder to get her to look, only for there to be no one there. Loves joking about how 'slow' they are and calling things a race unnecessarily. Really anything stupid because he knows it makes them smile.

✫One of the biggest ways he shows his love is by being their biggest advocate. Whether it's something big and serious or just something like having a bad day, he's always there to make them laugh and points out when she smiles-saying that cheesy line about how they should smile more. He always praises them for small milestones especially if they have something mentally challenging.. Sometimes he can be overwhelming though.

✫ He hates conflict in general  but really doesn't like upsetting his partner given he loves being humorous and won't cross that line if they're really that upset. Sometimes he'll try to charm or joke his way out of an argument unless it's a serious issue. If it is serious he will listen and apologize if it was something he caused.

He's so loving, the idea of cheating is completely foreign to him when it comes to them.

And ganon is reborn through his body - his resurrection is immortality. No matter how low he is cast, as long as he has a body he can claw his way back. He can cling to his power, build it ever higher.

Zelda is reborn through the magic of her bloodline. It's the accumulated knowledge handed down for generations, the unique power she must master, the skills she must develop to survive and get her kingdom out the other side intact. Even her name, the knowledge of herself, is handed down from all the way from the very first. Her ancestors knowledge of her future presence, her stability, is what gives her the edge.

Link is reborn in spirit. He is not bound by flesh or blood. Just like his wanderlust soul he can reappear in any time or place. His variation, his unpredictability, is exactly how he fights. It's what makes him so hard to pin down.

Ganons need to build strength means he can't chase after link. Links impulsiveness means zelda can outwit him. Zeldas stationary predictability means she's an easy target for ganon.

My personal Hermit doctor headcanons, since I’ve been seeing some other people do them.

First of all, wounds that would be life threatening or generally just really bad (broken back/neck, major organ damage, loss of limb, etc) will heal up after respawn, so the Hermits don’t usually have to worry about it. This is also helpful when it comes to donating things to Cleo (whether it be for herself or their armor stands) or for when Jevin needs a few extra bones. On rare occasion the injury won’t fully heal, but it’ll typically be minor enough to be easily treatable by a doctor. Anything that isn’t super major (or an illness) doesn’t go away after respawn, since they’re still treatable without it.

Now, on to the actual doctors.

Doc: Actually has a full medical degree, and is the usual person the other Hermits go to for injuries, illnesses, and any standard checkups. Broke a bone? Caught a bug while on another server? Doc’s got you covered. And when it comes to their local robot or animated mannequins he has plenty of experience with robotics and crafts. He also keeps note of anything special individual Hermits need when it comes to their health.

Gem: She has plenty of medical training, and is very knowledgeable when it comes to fixing up injuries with limited resources. Her neighbors usually go to her for broken bones and flus when Doc’s too busy. She also knows a lot when it comes to something like ripped fins or strained wings.

Cub: Not (legally) trained in anything medical, but who cares about legality? This is Hermitcraft! Not the first person you’d want to go to for your injuries or ailments, but he’s happy to help when needed. He also knows pretty much everything when it comes to Scar’s health and medications, and for some reason he’s really good at performing gender affirming surgeries.

Cleo: She can’t do much when it comes to anyone who isn’t dead, but if you need stitches or a quick limb reattachment she’s got you covered, just don’t be alarmed that the stitches are done with crafting supplies. She also helps Joe out with Juppet injuries and their craftsmanship comes in handy when it comes to anything Keralis or Wels need. They also help out Etho when he glitches really badly and needs some replacements.

Hypno: First off, don’t go to him for health care. Second off, he’s going to need something in return. On occasion it’ll be something like a gold coin or rare artifact, but it’s always a risk that it’ll be your soul. And you don’t want to sign any of his IOUs. Even if you manage to get anything out of your appointment without selling your soul away, you might still end up cursed. He can do top surgery, though. He actually did his own, even though you shouldn’t take his word for how safe that was.

Zedaph: If you’re going to Zed for medical care, you should stop and think about how crazy you’re being. Technically, he can do doctor stuff, but only if you want doctor stuff of the mad scientist variety. And while he could give you an x-ray for that broken bone, he’d prefer to use you for some unethical experiments, instead. He also shouldn’t be trusted with any sort of medical equipment, that’s how the surprise vivisection happened. Also, no one tell Impulse about the surprise vivisection.

Silly fic idea for you:

SVSSS AU where Shen Yuan transmigrates as a half-human half-crow-demon Phantom thief character.

He doesn’t want to steal from Bing-ge, but his System makes him, and naturally Bing-ge ends up obsessed. Bing-ge keeps luring him into traps with shiny things he just can’t help but want!!! Stupid crow impulses. (That he kinda wants to see Binghe again is irrelevant, obviously).

This is SUPER silly. Anon, this is so funny, I feel like I simply have to write this now oh my god. The idea that Bing-ge is confused at first, and he then sees this super handsome half bird-half human-demon thing and is like "man I need to get me more shiny things, I want to keep this fucker". ALSO, (I've heard that) crows are quite intelligent and start leaving presents as a response to getting fed or being given shiny things, so it could also be something where Shen Yuan starts having the urge to give Bing-ge things back after receiving all these shiny things (better if he doesn't recognise most of the traps as traps, mistaking Bing-ge for being a generous demon who doesn't need all of the shiny stuff he takes) and starts giving him shit like rocks and plants and the cool parts of beasts he fights... It also can be silly no matter when in the timeline this happens - it could be during the QJ peak arc where Shen Yuan sneaks around because he wants to see the awesome protagonist up close! The first time he steals something from Bing-ge, it's something super dumb like a particularly shiny rock or a coin that the boy left lying around, and Bing-ge's quickly like "??? The fuck just happened?" so he sets up a trap with the axe he uses for chopping wood (kind of rusty but still useable and particularly shiny). After that, it's chaos of trying to keep Shen Yuan the demon hidden while also stopping him from stealing other shiny things (cultivator's swords and such). Liu Qingge finds Shen Yuan trying to steal one of the swords he was gifted after saving a village and is also like "??? Kill?" It can also be after the Endless Abyss, when Bing-ge is like a demon lord and just has shiny stuff lying around. He throws it out occasionally and one day, while doing this, he notices a certain person swooping in and grabbing one of the shiny things. More antics ensue but I don't want to crash my laptop lmao (Which one would you rather me do, anon? Before the Endless Abyss, or after? Or both??) {part one! Pest x moth Reader

ok so side note, when i was checking his wiki as i do before every request it mentioned him having FOUR EYES, with a link to yeucc stating that fact, but i have never once seen him depicted with four eyes nor do i see it on their design in game, does anyone have any info on this because i need to know more, anyways hope this is good haven’t done one of these in a while

- ‘Like a moth to a flame’ well more like a moth to a bug hybrid with glowing eyes, and for once, he didn’t push someone else away, so good job!

- Pest’s eyes glow, and it activates the light seeking part of your brain so you will just for uncomfortably long stretches of time stare them directly in the eyes if you’re in a dimly lit space, or a room with no other light especially, once or twice you’ve accidentally reached out to touch them but they bat you away because well, that’s their eyes

- While he does know not every bug hybrid has the same traits, bugs are a very diverse classification, he does find it rather interesting that you’re fluffy rather then scaly like him, as he has an exoskeleton and you have soft fur in some spots, (yes i know moths have exoskeletons too just go with it ok?) though your wings aren’t fluffy they are very soft, far softer then his specie’s beetle wings, sometimes he’ll absentmindedly run his hands over them due to their softness, it feels nice but you do worry about his sharper claws being so close to your fragile wings

- They speak beetle to you a lot, do you know what they’re saying? Nope! But you respond in moth and have two completely different conversations, it’s almost a running joke between you two, since if other people saw you they’d assume you were having an actual conversation, not that you have no clue what the other is saying, after all you both don’t have the vocal cords to actually speak each other’s languages

- If you have the ability to fly he will never admit it but he’s jealous, he’s supposed to be able to fly, he has wings, but they’re fused to his body (canon) and so he’s never been able to, and while he never says it he envies your ability to, usually he ignores it though, why long for something he’s never had after all?

- If you’re being very moth brain when they’re trying to get work done they just hand you a small circuit of a switch and a light bulb so you can turn the bulb on and off repeatedly and leave them to work on stuff, is it maybe a little embarrassing? Yeah, but also LIGHT, so you can’t complain to much, and they let you stay next to them while working just don’t want to be bothered too much

- Pest will help you clean your antennas if asked, it’s the body part you impulsively clean the most after all, it allows you to smell and see better, he’s super gentle since they’re sensitive, he might grumble that he’s waisting valuable time but he doesn’t mean it, though he will swat you away when your instincts make you try and clean his upper mandibles as thanks, they are two very different things in texture and use but your brain says they’re basically the same thing because they’re in the same place

- If you go out somewhere together they will very begrudgingly hold your hand, they don’t like physical touch, but they know that on occasion if you see a bright light you will just immediately walk off towards it, so they hold your hand to stop you from wondering off out of nowhere, they chitter in an annoyed way but they secretly find it a little endearing, they will never tell you that though, they’d rather die

Being a telepath has its benefits, especially in these little escapades of yours. You'd have never thought Jade of all people would be so insatiable (a trait more suited for Floyd as most would agree), but you also never thought he'd be so enamored by you, so he was just full of surprises.

An icy cold shock ran through your body, making you bolt straight up, though you hand a very obvious 'mess' on your lips.

“Oh shit! What time is it?” You tried scrambling up, only to be met with Jade's hand grabbing the back of your neck to pull you into a hot, wet lip lock, sharp teeth just scraping your tongue.

Just for a moment, you melted into the kiss in bliss, a loud, wanton moan leaving you.

Hmmp? Did I hear something?

“W-wait, Jade!” In an urgent, but panicked tone, you whispered. “Professor Murine! He's coming!”

You think you felt Jade huff against your lips, but he calmed your growing anxiety as he cleaned up his appearance, watching as you did the same.

Neither of you really undressed as much as you did just expose bare skin for the other's access, so it was rather quick. Shuffling from your spots on the floor and back up to your seats, your knees feeling particularly sore, the two of you did your best to make it look like you'd been studying all this time.

You did anyway, Jade seemed that he still needed to get out a bit more energy. As the footsteps grew louder, let out a surprise squeak at Jade, grabbing your chin to pull you in for a kiss.

The sound of the door opening was nothing to Jade licking the corner of your lips before deepening the kiss. The salty taste from the white beads made you hot as you both heard the door open.

“Why I—” Murine cringed and sputtered. “You—you—you two! Don't you have better places to do this? We're closing, get out!”

Jade let out an 'embarrassed' chuckle as he helped clean up the mess of notebooks and pens.

“Of course, my apologies. We will be out shortly.”

Murine scoffed as he turned around to finish patrolling the library for any further stragglers, leaving you two alone once again.

Quickly heading for the exit, you felt Jade move a hand to curl on your hip and pull you in close, letting him lean down to whisper in your ear.

“We should indeed head to somewhere much more suited for our needs. Perhaps in the privacy of my room?”

Accidental "Humiliation" Story

Another story time. Gather round.

There is something about unintentional, loving humiliation that I just love. And this story is one of them. This isn't a crazy tale of humiliation, but one that hits my IC humiliation kink in all the right spots.

My wife and I are going to a Ren Fair this weekend. Neither of us have ever been to one, so we needed some costumes. Our story begins with my wife sending me a link for some pants. All normal stuff.

Except the pants are very poofy. Now, she didn't say why they were perfect, but I knew why: to hide my diapers. Blushy, but not crazy.

The costumes were delivered yesterday afternoon. Being the ADHD-impulsive couple we are, we tried them on immediately. They fit. We laughed at our costumes.

My wife stops and tells me she can't see my diaper at all; it's perfect. I agreed, I was pretty happy with it myself.

That's when she drops the, "When did you last change?" on me. Now, she rarely asks about my diapers. I handle everything myself, so this question struck me as unusual.

I ask why. She says we're gonna be there all day, and since I'll be drinking, it would probably be a good idea to know how it looks with a full diaper. So, if I was nearly full right then, it would be perfect.

I had just changed an hour ago, so it wasn't very full. So she recommended I wait until right before I'm gonna change to try on the costume again.

Thus started the waiting game. Every hour, she'd ask if I was ready. It's not quite diaper checks, but it's essentially the same thing. Something I'm not used to.

Finally, it's time. I put the costume back on, and my wife told me to go into the better light so she could check. She has me turn, she fidgets with the pants, and generally just stares at my crotch for diaper bulges.

Ugh.

Needless to say, I got the stamp of approval.

But, ugh. She didn't do it to be humiliating. She didn't do it to tease me. She did it out of genuine care, affection, and concern. She knows I am very careful about these things, so she was just trying to help.

And somehow, that made it so much worse. I don't know how to explain it. Humiliation isn't the right word, but I don't know how else to phrase it. I know it's a super mild story, especially here. But it just...got me.

It was just so authentic. Real. Unexpected.

This is inspired by @aflamboyanceofflamingos post about Tim choosing to publicly hate Robin as Tim Drake, cause to love or hate someone is the best way to hide a secret identity.

I started thinking about Tim coming into contact with his teammates as a civilian and Tim using this as an opportunity to take out all the grievances he has for his team in a way, that 1) Won't cause tension and fights. And 2) let him get away with being a petty arsehole, cause it's not like superheros can just go and beat up random civilians.

And well... my hand slipped.

The amount of times YJ comes across Tim Drake in the wild would be concerning if Tim didn't stalk them as often as his busy schedule allows (which turns out to be quite often). The Beta tube in the Batcave and another secret Beta tube in the bowls of Wayne enterprise's Francisco building allows Tim easy and direct access whenever he so desires.

And well, Tim never did grow out of his stalking phase.

It would be comical - if it wasn't maddening - how often they don't realise he's there. Most of the time he's stalking trailing a member of the team he's not trying to hide his presence, it wouldn't make sense for him to, not as Tim Drake.

The team have a tally board that sits in the common room, it's at 85.

His team's situational awareness is absolutely appalling. 85, they've noticed him only 85 of the hundreds of times he's followed them around?

He complains to Dick about it, a lot. He's hoping Dick will give him some tips on how to beat situational awareness into his teammates thick skulls. He was the leader of the Titans, so he has to have something!

Dick - like the asshole he secretly is - just laughs at him.

He asks Cassie about it once. Why they don't find it concerning that they encounter Tim Drake: famous for being the civilian who 'beat Robin in a fight' every other week?

"I mean, You're usually right about these sorts of things, Rob. If you don't think Drakes an issue, then we trust you."

Tim can't figure out whether to feel warm and giddy at the fact that they apparently trust him, or to be annoyed at the fact that they follow after him like sheep. Not even doing their own research and recon (Cassie probably did. Kon and Bart? Yeah, hell would have a better chance at freezing over).

The first time was a coincidence. Tim had needed some space (from Bruce. From his deadlines. From his own mind...) and ended up wondering the streets of San Francisco with no real destination in mind.

An impulse turn led him onto the boardwalk and from there right to Superboy.

It was a bright and sunny day in Fran and Kon was glowing. Literally, because of the sun and figuratively from pride after he stopped a would-be pick pocket-er from pick pocketing an elderly lady.

He shouldn't. He knows he shouldn't, not when the team know of Tim Drake, know his face and all about how he hates Robin and makes it his whole personality. Not when the only thing that stops them putting Tim Drake on Baby Super villain watch is Tims general blasé attitude about, well... himself.

But is it oh, so tempting.

Especially because the month before, Kon had accidentally smashed Tim's favourite coffee mug in a series of event's (involving a yoga ball, shearing scissors, laser vision and a will from God himself) so convoluted that Tim was convinced it had been orchestrated for a solid week.

Was it a cheap mug from Kmart? Yes, but it's the principle of the matter!

As Tim’s left shoe impacts the side of Superboys face, a sense of manic glee overtakes him. Tim takes special care to seer this memory of Superboy getting hit in the head with Tim's shoe and the stupid face he makes as the ratty converse collides with his cheek, into his brain.

It's not much, but it's justice all the same for his once beloved mug.

Tim... might just be a tad sleep-deprived.

Superboy startles and lets out a frantic “Shit!” Assuming he’s being attacked by a surprise enemy (the kind that isn’t just civilians throwing shoes) he looks around, taking stock of his surroundings and looking for any immediate threats before glancing down at the shoe and visibly doing a double take.

His face is blank as he stares - undoubtably confused - at the shoe. A second later he's lifting his gaze, following the direction the show came from and staring right at Tim.

Tim, who (like an idiot) is still, for some reason, positioned how he was when he threw the shoe - arm outstretched and leg back to brace himself.

There is absolutely no way he wasn't the one who threw the shoe. If the stance didn't give it away, then him having one shoe (that shoe being a near identical ratty rad converse) probably did.

“What?” Superboy asks. He looks befuddled. A little amused, but mostly just confused. He's got a small, polite smile on his face that just reeks of Clark Kent's influence. Kon is obviously trying to model himself off of Superman - specifically Superman's polite and approachable "Grandma pinching worthy" vibe and not his fashion choices, since he's still got the leather jacket and sunglasses.

Tim makes a mental note to tell Kon that he has a really expressive face. Tim is literally reading all his emotions in 4K. They should probably work on that, it could be a liability in the field.

Tim briefly considers playing dumb and acting like it wasn’t him that threw the shoe, before dismissing that idea, Kon can be clueless at times, but he’s not a complete idiot.

So instead, he says, “that was a very open-ended question.”

And well, it was.

At the look Superboy gives him, he elaborates, “What, when said in that context, could mean literally anything! Like, ‘what was the purpose of that?’ ‘What’s your name, so I can in-prison you’ ‘What shoe size was that?’ Seriously, dude, be more specific!”

Superboy’s befuddlement takes a sudden nosedive to incredulity. “Okay, fine. Why did you throw a shoe at me?”

“Cause you work with Robin.” He says simply. He'd say 'justice' but then he'd sound like batman and like, thanks but no thanks.

“Cause I- what? You physically assaulted me with a shoe because I work on the same team as Robin?”

Tim, personally, thinks assault is a strong word to use for this situation, but he’s glad that at least some of his lessons on the proper terms and vocabulary are paying off.

He nods, cause that is indeed what he just did, he crosses his arms across his chest, and stares Superboy down.

Superboy who, looks like he’s regretting everything that led him to this moment. Tim relishes in that for just a little too long to be healthy. Probably.

Tim doesn’t really care. He told Kon (as Robin) that he’d regret breaking Tim’s favourite mug (accident or not, he's still not over it.) yeah, this might not be how either of them envisioned it, but Tim thinks this might just be better than beating Kon up as Robin in their next team training session. What better way to get someone back than to publicly humiliate them in front of all their peers? Shame he can't do that anymore.

Eh, who is he kidding? He’s still going to do that anyway.

“You’re only gonna throw one?” Superboy has a look on his face that’s similar to the one Bruce gets when he’s decided to give up and play along with the crazy. The one where he'll smile and nod, slowly inching out of the room, as Duke and Damian (There has truly never been a more terrifying duo) explain to him in vivid detail how they're going to use psychological warfare to make a shitty teacher at their school resign.

“Yes.” Why’d he throw both his shoes? He’d have no shoes!

“… Right. Why did you throw this one?”

All these questions!

“I like that one the least,” he shrugs, and it's true, the converse on his right foot has a little bi flag that Steph sewed into it back when they were dating. A throw pillow was the closest thing in reach at the time, so he sewed a little pan flag on it for her (he later did one on the breast pocket of one of her denim jackets).

“You are so freakin’ weird, dude! You throw a shoe at me! Because I work with Robin!”

Uh, yeah, we've already established that.

“How did you even get it off that fast!”

To be Honest, Tim is also surprised at how fast he was able to get his shoe off. One second he’s looking at Superboy the next he’s lobbing a shoe at his thick head.

Instead of saying any of that, Tim channels his inner Janet Drake, sticking his nose into the air and scoffing like Kon is the literal gum stuck on the sole of his shoe.

Kon, - because he’s no longer Superboy, he’s too fired up to hold onto the mask - shakes his head. It’s mocking, when he says, “You must be really shitty at throwing a punch if you had to resort to throwing shoes.”

Tim shrugs, “Well, I woulda thrown a fist, but you’re not worth a fist.”

Kon is silent and doing an amazing impression of a blobfish.

Tim turns and struts away before Kon has the chance to come up with a rebuttal, or just decides to punch him in the face.

He’ll grab his shoe later, after Kon leaves.

The basted incinerated his shoe.
