with fizz being word-of-god demi (and tbh i'd just read him that way regardless, but now they oughta make it show canon, thems the rules), thinking about whether he'd ever had sex before he met asmodeus, about how the first person he was in love with was blitzø and that clearly didn't work out, and also about him as disabled and also him as a sex object in hell, there's a lot to unpack

and then on the flipside, it seems so far as if asmodeus hasn't ever been in a romantic relationship prior to fizzarolli, and of course he does have casual sex, that's his whole job, but that's also interesting -- how does asmodeus relate to sexual attraction, when his job is about reading and reacting to others' sexual desires, and how that pertains to reading his relationship with fizzarolli as about building something more longterm that deconstructs both of the ways their public image as sexual ideals rely on what others can get from them (rather than what they feel and want)

essentially they're both in sex work or related to that work in some way, they both understand the world of desire and how to operate in that world, but their relationship to each other (romantic and sexual) is something brand new, it's something not defined by normative relationship structures (for that matter, a sin and an imp, as metaphor for all of this, is that something brand new as well?)

but yeah asmodeus is aspec too, in my mind, which i think would be just the kind of deconstruction of "the sin of lust" that would work in this kind of story. definitely somewhere on the aro side of things, fun to think about also from the ace perspective, and that's one of the (many) reasons he and fizz understand each other so well -- they're not coming at this with an innate "this is the way things are meant to be" set of ideas. there are no assumptions of who they're supposed to be when they're together (well, there are when they're in public, but once those have been challenged head-on and they come out of the closet in s2, so to speak...), so they get to build that brand new identity together in their own way

i just think that concept would be neat

My aspec Helluva Boss headcanons, because I say so:

Asmodeus — allosexual arospec, probably demiromantic. He talks about sexual attraction and desire as something entirely separate from romantic attraction and love, and I think that’s very interesting. No fully allo person does that.

Fizzarolli — demi. I’ve seen numerous people say that Viv said something to the effect of “Fizzarolli has to form an emotional bond first,” but idk how true that is. It just feels right.

Striker — ace and VERY sex-repulsed. His visible disgust whenever someone starts being horny near him, also “SHUT UP! WHY IS IT ALWAYS A SEX THING?!” Edward Bosco seems to have a tendency to play sex-repulsed aces.

Octavia — aroace. She seems very blasé about relationships in general, and the one thing she’s most scared of is that her dad is going to abandon her for his new lover. I know she’s a child of divorce and the kind of abandonment issues that tends to create, but that just struck me as a very aroace fear to have.

Water rushes down into a bathtub of pale gold, simmering down as manicured nails turn the handle. Rouge petals from a singular rose float over the surface of the clear water. You settle into the tub with a satisfied sigh, warm water enveloping your form. He giggles when you yelp; he turned on the tub's massage jets. Huffing, you send a half-hearted wave of water towards him with a lazy grin. 

He lets out a girlish whine and dodges dramatically. "I'm so sorry, my dear! Please, won't you forgive me?" 

Soon enough you do so, after playfully ignoring him. He snuggles up to you and rests his head against your bare shoulder. The closeness does not bother you, and you lean your head against his. Even as you help one another wash off, you know he has no ulterior motives. All of his praise remains genuine, soft, and appreciative, as if your body is a piece of art. 

Usually other's descriptions of your form leave you squirming in unease. Every word that spills from your lover makes you want to pose for a nonexistent camera. For most of your life, nudity and anything even remotely related to sex has sent shudders up your spine, all the way to your throat. Relationships seemed out of the question, yet you got into one. Sex still does seem appealing, but it does not make you wish to throw your guts out anymore. 

With him, the idea of it does not disgust you. Although you feel no urge to seek pleasure of your own, the thought of giving him that type of euphoria sends a flush of heat over your face. It never burns like people say desire does, it only brings a comforting warmth. The same kind of flicker appears as a shared kiss or meal would give. For him and most others, lust is a base desire in the same manner as sleep is. 

At the start this worried you. Even if he somehow returned your feelings, this should have been a deal-breaker, or so you thought. The Avatar of Lust being in a sexless relationship sounds rather bizarre after all. Even so, this is reality- a fact which you could not be more grateful for. Done applying his face mask, he settles into the covers beside you. 

"What's on your mind, baby?" He coos, tracing his hand over your sleepy features. "Going to bed stressed is no good at all! You'll get bad dreams, and you know how bad that is for your skin, right?" 

You chuckle, leaning into his touch. "I was just thinking." 

"About what? Come on, surely your sweet and attentive, handsome boyfriend deserves to know?" 

"Well... if you want to talk more about sexual stuff... I'm fine with that," you mumble, averting your eyes. 

The smile on his lips fades, brows shifting in concern. "I... where's this coming from? Have I... I haven't been too pushy, have I?" 

"Asmo, that isn't-" 

He cuts you off, face scrunching in worry. "Please be honest with me. I'm... I'm really trying, I don't want to make you uncomfortable but this is how I'm used to-" 

"Listen, please." You place a finger over his lips, cutting him off this time and leaning closer. Only after you are sure he has settled down, you continue. 

"I'm saying this because I'm comfortable with you. Everything has been perfect." You brush aside a loose strand of his strawberry blonde hair. "I know you would never push me to do anything I don't want to. This isn't to say the way I feel has changed, I'm still not interested in sex, but..." 

Your mouth dries suddenly, embarrassed out of nowhere, caught in a conversation you thought you would never have. Clearing your throat, you continue, "...if you... want me to... help you out with something, you can ask. I... want to make you happy in that way, too. I want to see you... um, enjoy yourself, it... would make me happy as well." 

He falls silent for a moment. Then he squeals, throwing his arms around you and holding you close. "That confession was so adorable..! You really are everything I could ever ask for, and more!" 

Your face warms up as you get comfortable against him. Running your fingers through his smooth locks, you let out a quiet, content sigh. Everything went well, and the both of you lay in comfortable silence. That is, until he mumbles into your chest, "you know... I never thought I could get this." 

"What do you mean?" Tracing your fingers over his jaw, you brush his hair back. He whines something about having set it up in a specific way, placing your hand over his neck.

Then regains his focus, staring into your eyes with an unusual intensity. Filled with adoration and vulnerability, they nearly overflow, and he looks as if one wrong move could make him break. "This kind of love." 

Used to flings, the fast flame of desire, the thought of lust-free love evaded him. Centuries of surface-level passion all faded to pale ash in comparison to the ceaseless inferno within his scalded soul. Your form, that of an average human calls out to him in a voice sweeter than that of any succubus or siren. Even so, all he longs for is to hold you, to let you take the lead, choose how to move forward. 

The loss of his angelic form and the praise of it hurt him the most. With loose morals, all there was left was his beauty, nothing at all on the inside. You changed that thought, shattering all of his beliefs. Where he thought there was nothing, you found something to love. That fact he could not be more grateful for.

I like especially that Bisexual Loona and Lesbian Sallie May are canon I’ve held onto those hcs for a while.

I figured Chaz being Bi was just, canon? His debut episode was described as “very bisexual” and in it he was shown with the bi flag colors and then again in merch. Though some people pointed out he could use both interchangeably which works for me.

Viv has approved the Bi Ozzie and Demi Fizz headcanons before so I’m a little surprised the former was contradicted and the latter unmentioned in this.

The ace of spades symbol represents aromantic aces so I suppose Mammon is also aro maybe. I don’t really like that because he never struck me as such but it’s, whatever at the end of the day. Feels like leaning into evil aspec trope and I’d rather him be allo but, idk it’s not a big deal. Alastor’s good enough aro rep for me to allow them it. And it’s funny his one true love is money. (I personally take Octavia as also aroace because it seems they’re still using asexual to encompass both).

(Plus I greatly preferred the idea of the sins all having different labels so this has. certainly messed that up lol)

No fully allo person does that." following that to it's conclusion, wouldn't it mean all sex workers are aspec? as well as those who have procreative sex with people they aren't romantically attracted to -- arranged marriages, and the like?

Thank you for citing my post, that way I don’t have to go paste it myself. What you’ve handed me isn’t a flaw in logic, that’s an entirely different idea.

“No fully allo person does that” is a bit of an overgeneralization, but my point was that allo people generally don’t draw such a clear distinction between romantic and sexual attraction.

You’ve gone beyond the conclusion of my statement to a whole separate one. Both of those examples you listed are people having sex with someone they aren’t necessarily sexually or romantically attracted to. That doesn’t make a person aspec, a person is aspec if they experience little to no romantic attraction or little to no sexual attraction. That means across the board, not just no attraction toward a specific individual.

I read Ozzie as aspec because allo people generally don’t need to make the distinction he makes. Plus I think the literal king of Lust being somewhere on the aromantic spectrum is a fun way to highlight the separation between the two.

I specifically tried to make it fit around canon in the way that everyone has he or she included in their pronouns and that everyone is mspec and/or aspec to include the various array of gender identities that play the game.

Lucifer, to me, just screams as someone whose explored gender in private and came out the other end as cis with a better knowledge of his attraction. He's greyplatonic because his experience of platonic attraction just does not fit the bill of alloplatonicism.

Mammon, while being cis, very much enjoys thy thou/thee neopronouns. They make thou feel fancy. He likes all genders but the way the attraction is felt varies by gender and due to being demisexual he rarely experiences sexual attraction.

Leviathan's gender is really heckin' weird going from masculine to xenine to have no gender to being feminine to nonbinary genders, etc. It's hard for it to dress sometimes but masculine presentation is a comfort for glitch. If void got to know someone then glitch is in love, full throttle. Sexual attraction is off the table though.

Satan is allosexual but greyromantic. He's romance-ambivalent, they want what they read in books but can't entirely understand the appeal of a romantic relationship when it's all stuff he could do with a friend. The way he experiences being greyromantic is their attraction being at a low intensity and rarely at that. They came out as trans long ago and were surprised by the reception among his siblings, especially after what Belphegor told him what it was like in the human world.

Asmodeus is very allosexual and very loving with varying degrees of romantic attraction. She experiences all genders fluidly but is fine with any pronouns at any time. Levi showed love neopronouns and immediately knew they had to use love/loves. It's like they were made for him!

Beelzebub's gender is there one moment and gone the next and prefers they/them over he/him to accomodate for that. They don't experience any romantic or sexual attraction but enjoy the nonrose attractions they feel, finding it interesting to talk about these feelings with Lord Diavolo.

Belphegor really doesn't care about its gender nor what he is percieved as but does care as to what pronouns people use for it. His orientation is all over the damn place. One moment it likes women but then the next he'll be calling on the stars to bring it a boyfriend meanwhile its sexual attraction is fluctuating but generally he'd be sex-neutral.

Diavolo, while liking all genders, is very much partial toward min genders. His romantic attraction comes often enough but is weak and with how gold can never let himself be himself around others, gold has never experienced sexual attraction. Leviathan got to him and suggested gold/golds to reflect his position as prince and gold loved it, why wouldn't he want to try something so cool?

Barbatos feels very alienated from the concepts of gender and attraction. Ey're a being transcending such mortal concepts. He only really sees why others would want to be around one another when ey're there and experiencing the atmosphere. He will occasionally engage in romantic or sexual activities but that's not eir priority.

Simeon would technically be considered greysexual but is sex-averse and prefers to just say he's asexual and doesn't explicitly call his omni attraction romantic or sexual.

Luke isn't interested in dating and thus doesn't question vyr attraction. He is however questioning their gender and has found that any pronouns are okay with her.

Solomon is old as hell. The concept of gender was lost on Solomon long ago and Solomon doesn't care for third person pronouns. Solomon also choses not to label Solomon's attraction, Solomon likes who Solomon likes, even if that's no one.

Thirteen isn't very interested in any form of relationship unless it benefits reaper, even if after a while she may warm up to someone. Her sense of gender fades in and out and reflects that with its out-of-the-box presentation.

Raphael much prefers to be alone but enjoys the concept of romantic relationships. He, however, doesn't care for platonic or sexual relationships. He is touch-averse and will not stand for those who don't respect his boundaries. Raphael is one who doesn't care for the concept of gender but has a connection to and understands that others percieve him as masculine.

Mesphistopheles is a demon who cannot bring himself to fully engage with others unless he's sure they enjoy his presense as much as he enjoys theirs. He needs them to know him and him to know them. He enjoys connection and intimacy to a great degree and cannot wait 'til the day he can truly let go with someone he cares for.

I will not 24/7 be sticking to these headcanons in my posts, I am very proud of these though :). Sorry for the long post. Feel free to add on or ask questions!
