In the Bible, Joseph was betrayed and sold into slavery by his own brothers, then falsely accused and put in prison. He could have used excuse after excuse to be bitter and angry, but he had a "no excuses" mentality. He kept doing the right thing when the wrong thing was happening. And in the end, he came out vindicated, promoted, and in a place of influence and respect.
Let go of the hurts, offenses, and wounds of the past. Declare that they have no power over you. 💙

To make up for lost time, you need only to put down the grudge you are holding so you can pick up the phone and say, 'How many days did we need each other at the same time without knowing it?' Bitterness is the easiest way to leave this world having had only a near-life experience.

See to it that…no bitter root grows up to cause trouble. Hebrews 12:5
A bitter heart harbours hostility. When someone is bitter, the bitterness takes root in the heart and grows deeper. They have not dealt with an old hurt. A bitter person is hypersensitive and critical. Bitterness affects us physically, emotionally, and spiritually because the root of bitterness will steal your happiness, joy and peace. How do we get over it? By the grace of God, we need to ask God to fill our hearts with forgiveness and love. It is so worth it when you forgive. But, you say, "You don't know what they've done!” But realize that they are not miserable, you are! You will discover that your life is more joyful when you uproot your bitterness. When you forgive, you set two people free and one of them is yourself.

Thinking about Lord of the Flies for some inexplicable reason, imagine how crazy it would be to live in the Lord of the Flies universe and turn on the TV to see something like "Last survivor of wartime island survival story has died of old age...the man, whose detailed recollections of a highly controversial and intensely researched story of surviving a violent 'mutiny' of boys all stranded on an island gathered attention the world over, continued to rally against the dangers of the allure of power until his dying day..."

There are days when solitude is a heady wine that intoxicates you with freedom, others when it is a bitter tonic, and still others when it is a poison that makes you beat your head against the wall.

When you truly Love Jesus and spend time in Prayer and the Word, the way you Love people changes. You'll become patient and compassionate towards them and you'll start seeing them through the eyes of God.
Only then, it is possible to Love a person unconditionally.

Forgive One Another
31 Let all bitterness, and indignation, and wrath, and clamor, and evil speaking be removed from you, together with all malice; 32 And be kind and tenderhearted toward one another, forgiving one another, even as God has also in Christ forgiven you. — Ephesians 4:31-32 | A Faithful Version (AFV) Holy Bible, A Faithful Version © 2020 A Faithful Version. Notes: Ephesians 4:31-32 is a call to cultivate a specific set of attitudes and actions within the Christian community. It encourages believers to put away negative behaviors like bitterness, anger, and slander, and instead embrace kindness, compassion, and forgiveness, mirroring God's own forgiveness towards them.
