Hear me out but Mike getting vecna’d and El using her powers to get into his mind place and save him. She gets into his mind but isn’t able to find him anywhere until she hears soft crying. It’s Mike holding Will in his arms, blood dripping from the other boy’s eyes.

El can hear Mike whispering something to Will, something along the lines of ‘don’t leave me’ or ‘please come back’. He’s clutching onto Will’s hand and placing it towards his lips, fully sobbing now.

El places a hand on Mike’s shoulder and he quickly turns around. ‘Mike, it’s not real’ she whispers but Mike is inconsolable. He breaks down holding El’s arm, repeatedly choking out ‘it’s my fault, it’s all my fault’. She pulls his arm hurriedly and tells him ‘let’s go, it’s not safe hear’

But before she could insist further, a voice booms ‘why do you love someone who doesn’t love you back, Eleven?’ And El is transfixed while Mike holds Will’s body closer to his chest. ‘Why do you waste your time trying to save him?’

In the background the beginning of ‘small town boy’ plays as El can hear the real Will’s voice talk to her, saying ‘quick El please, find him’ and she can hear the desperation in his voice. She stops to look back at Mike, who was still on the floor, cradling fake Will’s body. And she understands.

She understands everything.

in honor of (its looking like) frank castle in born again episode 3, id like to revisit the beloved "punisher chains daredevil to the roof so they can have a moral debate" scene because i do think theres a couple of things that get glossed over

1. frank's line of "You know my moment of clarity came from the strangest of places... what the hell kind of name is the Devil of Hell's Kitchen, anyway?". the punisher was inspired by daredevil! hes technically one of the "devil worshiper" copycats. its why matt feels responsible for the punisher and by extension every person hes killed.

2. if frank had just wanted daredevil out of the way, he could have much more easily just left matt for the cops when he passed out. but he didn't want daredevil arrested or dead, just out of his way for a bit while he killed the dogs of hell.

the whole "tape a loaded gun to his hand and force a moral dilemma" thing was definitely not the original plan. matt just managed to piss him off so bad that frank said "actually FUCK this guy" and pressed pause on his entire plan just to go kidnap grotto

3. all "so why did frank do all that, was he just horny?" jokes aside. the moment that frank decides to go off script? it was when matt called him unhinged and insane. that's what made him blow up, probably because it's something he was afraid was true

to me the entire grotto thing was frank saying "i'm not crazy, because even your self righteous ass would make the same decision in my circumstances. you arent better than me". thus the "what kind of choice is that?" and "the kind i make every day" lines.

i don't think it was as much about forcing matt to kill, necessarily, but more about self justification and proving a point using a guy's life as an object lesson. this feeds into why frank doesnt try to force matt to kill again and in fact discourages him from it.

in conclusion: god damn am i excited for these characters to interact again.

Okay, but picture it with me. 810, Eddie leaves, but instead of the last scene of the episode being Buck watching Eddie drive off, paralleling 110 and Abby leaving, it's actually Buck going inside Eddie's house and sitting down on the couch alone, parallelling the final scene of 204 (because let's face it, that uhaul is small af, I would bet he's only moving Chris's stuff and the basic for himself). And like, Buck doesn't plan on staying, it's just that the house has always been home and he doesn't know where else to go. 811 we see Eddie dealing with his parents, he says some stuff and it makes us wonder if he did figured out that Buck is his partner and it ends on a sort of cliffhanger where he talks to Chris, but we're not sure if he's going to decide to come back to LA. 812, Buck is fully spiraling, he's reckless, he's pouting, he's snappy, he's just unhappy on all fronts, and like, there are a few rough calls, maybe Buck gets hurt, not enough so that he'll end up in the hospital but enough so that Bobby pulls him to the corner to talk, and Buck is in denial that it's all because Eddie isn't there, no, no, he's fine, they're fine, Eddie facetimed him 2 days ago, why would he be upset Eddie is fighting for his son, maybe it ends with Buck admitting he didn't know it was possible to miss someone so much. And 811-12 we're unsure if Buck went back to the loft or not, but then Buck says he's going home, and he ends up at the house again, and the house kinda feels haunted, and Buck is just looking around, because it's not really home without Eddie and Chris, then the door opens, Eddie is back, they're just looking at each other, bam the episode ends.

Sometimes I think a lot about Arthur's old journal, the one he had prior to the game's events that got burned in a fire, and how Arthur went a long time without a replacement.

He wrote that he missed writing and drawing, more than he thought he would.

The journal is a wonderful tool that allows us see through Arthur's eyes and how he deals with things, it's one of his healthiest coping mechanisms, so it makes me wonder what those journal-less months were really like for Arthur.

Whatever and wherever the fire was, the time spent up north in the Grizzlies and travelling down from it, Dutch nearly buying some land but getting spooked by the law, new people joining them, and then the gang spending months in the wilderness before moving to Blackwater - it all sounded like a hectic time. But he never wrote about how he felt, he just wrote about what had happened.

Yet, he said he missed writing and drawing. He missed it. He had the itch to write and draw for ages, but he couldn't.

Maybe he struggled with the chaos of those few months without a journal to empty his frustrations and thoughts into, maybe he saw so many things he wanted to draw and it aggravated him that he couldn't, maybe he was slightly more irritable than usual with everything that had pent up and having no means to release it, and so on.

I just think about it a lot.

Especially if you took the journal out of the main game, you'd be taking out a huge portion of the story and the insights we have into who Arthur is as a person too. It's impossible for Arthur to not write in the journal, even if you never open it. It's a vital tool that helps define him and show us how he moves through the world, how he copes with the world.

So if Arthur had his journal taken away by a fire all those months ago and went a long time without, what would he have been like?

Opinions/ head-canons on the main 3?!

SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG TO ANSWER omg. i was trying to think if i had anything interesting to say and im not sure i do lol but heres a couple drawings n a few things under the cut u_u

i enjoy all of the main 3 a lot though on my first playthrough i sort of ignored petey lol… ive since grown to really like him. i think he can be pretty interesting if u remember hes bitchy and weird and a loser

small headcanons i have off the top of my head: 

jimmy probably needs glasses but its not too bad.… hes probably squinting so much bc hes Tough but i like to think part of it is that he cant see very well

i think garys interest in torment is mostly psychological… therefore its person-based. i dont think he cares about like hurting animals and whatever personally… especially if he thinks of himself as like Above others and as a Genius, like… “human prey” type nastiness seems more fitting than generic “is a dick to all living things” if that makes sense. not that hes particularly nice to animals though LOL just that he doesnt really seek it out. idk

i think peteys shirt is pink either bc of gary or bc of a series of mishaps also involving gary. like maybe it was an accident the first time and other peoples laundry got affected even, but then all of peteys shirts specifically kept turning pink and who could possibly be doing that……

ages are all like up in the air i believe save for jimmy who states it ingame…. i hc gary and petey as being in the same year though. ive seen people try to say that pete seems younger but i just dont see it… age order i would probably say is oldest to youngest gary petey jimmy… and i think jimmy has a summer birthday u_u petey and gary somewhere in autumn/winter
