when i saw the prompt webs & weaving i immediately thought about web!martin weaving spiderweb into jon's hair -- unbeknownst to jon who is just too blissed out by getting his hair touched, and apparently too asleep to notice his boyfriend has four hands (and also the, uh, spiders). the progression of gray in his hair is just subtle enough that jon can't make the connection which is perfect for martin who needs to keep track of him

I know the story only wanted certain people to talk to each other to accomplish specific things for s2, but it's just so crazy Sevika and Jinx had both been in the same/place with Singed at least twice and had NOTHING to say to him.

Sevika never wanted him to make more shimmer to at least keep things going somehow (he clearly was still capable with Ambessa)? Is Sevika done with shimmer even though and the benefits she used it for? Did she ever go to Singed and ask him about Silco when he first disappeared? Was she able to connect the dots from what Singed told her about the state that Jinx came and left in?

I don't even know where to start with Jinx. How does she feel about being permanently altered with shimmer by Singed? Doesn't she have any questions about her new biology? Does she hate Singed for putting her through what seems like the most physically painful experiences of her life, how are these feelings affected by the fact that it only happened because Silco wanted her to live. What's going on with the thread where parents subject their children to monstrous treatment to save them in Arcane?

Why doesn't Jinx ever confront him about Vander!!?!?? You could Jinx couldn't have known it was Singed, but who else could be capable of THAT (he'd also just admit it). Singed can only really talk to one person he has any real connection with, and that's so we can listen Viktor fail an oral exam on BIO 101.

How about your take on a reverse au?

Either Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi with switch personalities or switched powers? Or even Cheng Xiaoshi being the one traveling to the past to save Lu Guang?

this would be something i'd have to make a full long winded AU on to really do justice to myself over tbh. i decided to go with the second part of this with cheng xiaoshi being the one timelooping himself, if only because the way their powers work with their personalities from a character analysis pov is Very deeply rooted to me and i would have to be a lot of thought into how it would work and effect them as people in a way that i just don't think is what anyones asking for here LMAO

i also think its interesting to put cheng xiaoshi into this situation. cxs doesn't loop in canon when he believes lg died- so, what would drive him to do that ?

anyway, i think if cxs was the one looping he would have a lot harder time pretending to be normal than lg does, considering lg already slips up quite a bit.

Theodore took a breath in, long and purposeful. He couldn't see her before, but now he knows what she looks like. Through smell. If I explained it more it still wouldn't make sense.

And yet, despite my mind being as sharp as a blade, and my tongue not lagging behind it, my eyesight keeps me from my full potential. He takes off the tiny sunglasses perched up on his face, to reveal that he indeed has no eyes. Or maybe they're somewhere underneath the writing tumors that make up his skin.

"When I heard there was someone who claimed to be a pianist, I was elated. To be able to hear those sweet melodies I used to hear as I dined brought back memories of joy. As you are not one of my servants, I know I have no true right to ask this of you, but perhaps, may I hear a song that you play? If you don't have the time for it, I certainly understand. This manor can be rather... uncivilized, wouldn't you say?"

A large, hulking, disgusting beast lumbers through the room, its body covered in malformed, bubbling flesh, its teeth making up about half of its face. It breathes slowly, menacingly, like a predator stalking its prey. And then… it speaks.

With a hint of a German accent.

“Ah, hello there miss. I’ve been told that you’re quite the pianist, yes? I absolutely adore listening to the piano, and I’ve missed it greatly.”
