You cannot be a perfectionist'.#Right now - posting these slightly upgraded frames is really helping me stay motivated through the learning grind.#But progress is happening! I'm so excited to show it off when it's done!#Someone with a very discerning eye might be able to figure out what I'm doing with just this one frame. I will take the risk.#That aside; I often think about how the nature of cultivators in MDZS's world also entailed knowing about other art forms.#Meaning that Wen Qing and Wen Ning likely were good musicians and artists.#We know WWX is also good in art and music so...really...what was stopping them from forming a band?#Allow me to pitch this AU: Yiling Opera company AU. WWX and the Wen remnants form a performing trope and tour towns and cities.#Not only do they find a way to keep on the move (no home...only the road and the people around you).#But you also get to be in costume - which is a socially appropriate way to always be in disguise.#Yiling Laozu would thus be a character and/or WWX's stage name.#Would he be good at keeping it a secret? Hard to say with WWX! I think it would be a poorly-kept secret at best.#He likes to brag and show off a bit too much. This many would be either the worst or best spy.#Consider the drama of JC losing his mind over his ex-brother becoming a clown. Imagine JC Getting his ass kicked by said clown.#Imagine the delectable secret identity drama potential of Lan Wangji stumbling upon the trope's performances.#We did not get nearly enough of the secret identiy drama in MDZS canon. I need more of it.#I need that man conflicted with his feelings for the same person. I need them playing mind games with each other at all times.

For the twins in time AU, I genuinely wonder what kind of people the young twins grow up into because of Stan’s/Ford’s influence. Especially if it takes years for the portal to get fixed.

(Sorry if it seems like I already sent this question, I don’t know if it got sent the first time I asked)

I haven’t fully fleshed out how Ford grows up in the past but I do have thoughts on Stan presently

#he’s still his goofy brash self as well #but I do think he gets an outlet for all that through monster hunting and trips and stuff #he does get comfortable here though…#I’m thinking we have something play out that’s similar to the science fair #where they get close to being able to send him home and he breaks something or maybe even purposely sabotages it…#and I think he sneaks out a lot too #maybe he uses the secret identities in that way like when he’s in town he’ll pretend to be Pinley pinington #and that’s how he develops his scammy/improv skills #FORD ON THE OTHER HAND #I think he might actually be MORE emotionally stunted because Stan tries so hard to protect him #that it goes the other way #they kind of become reliant on each other in a really unhealthy way or maybe Stan sort of steers ford away from his smart stuff #to prevent the future from happening #not maliciously but yk #like I said I haven’t fleshed his story out as fully yet so I will get back to you #but there are some interesting possibilities #my art #ask #gravity falls #twins in time au #Stan pines #Stanley pines

i’m sure many people more eloquent than i can and already have commented on this but vivian being trans in paper mario finally being canon makes me so happy because of how much thematic weight it gives to the story.

mario loses his name, his body, his whole identity to doopliss, and the only person who will believe and help him is a trans woman. because who better understands what it’s like to want others to know your name, and recognizes the importance of being in the body you belong in?

So. Danny might have accidentally become a bit of a cryptid. He didn’t mean to, but he’d become a bit nocturnal- like many an Amity Parker- and it wasn’t his fault that he couldn’t be bothered to make sound when he was tired. Or pretend to breathe or, okay, he could see why he kept freaking people out at the grocery store he kept going to.

But it wasn’t his fault! He has to get food too! And really is it anyone else’s business? Seriously he thought that people wouldn’t be so surprised with how much magic is everywhere. Like you’d think they’d never seen someone who wasn’t fully human before or something.

Oh great, there’s a journalist at the grocery store now- he’s going to ignore that and finish his shopping and then continue his online work. Ooh, and eat icecream. He deserves it for potentially putting up with this.

And he pushed her away HARD many MANY times over the years for whatever BS reason he could think of #and they've finally gotten to a place (and it's a year later than would have been better for everyone) where this is permanent.#This is safe. This is home. They're stuck with each other.#And I love the contrast between Matt anxiously trying to convince Kristen and his gf that there's a threat and he has to go DO STUFF and #how different the reaction is when he says the same things (albeit with more detail) to Frank and Karen. It's night and day.#He's only a real person with people who know his secret identity.#There's something delicious about a phone call being where Matt's stuck. As if he doesn't have a history of dodging her calls. And I get #that he would have welcomed calls now - or in the last year - but there are so many scenes were poor karen is just getting shutdown by Matt #and Foggy. Calls unanswered or ended quickly. Because they have other stuff going on and lying to her is hard so it's easier not to pick up #And then you have Frank who is like... a fugitive? A hermit basically. Someone off the grid. Living in a basement. Who has an active cell #plan and has made sure Karen has his number in case she needs it. And he clearly answers when she rings. And there's no one else ringing.#So it's basically a phone - maybe specifically so Karen can reach out.#AND I LOVE THE FRAMING OF THIS SHOT. I love how close Matt and Karen are sitting. I love that Frank is pretending to ignore them.#Coz there's no way he's okay with how close they are. But he's not going to make it weird because he's a good friend to Karen.#Maybe I should blame Karen for me shipping every ship that involves Karen.

I have a soft spot for Peter Parker in Gotham fics, but how about Peter in Central City?

Post NWH Peter Parker ends up in the DC universe. He starts being spider-man there, makes connections and befriends other heroes. Eventually, Peter overhears someone mention how everyone forgot Wally existed because of speedforce shenanigans.

Naturally, Peter has a lot of emotions about his own situation and goes to the only other person he thinks will understand his predicament for advice (even if their situations were pretty different actually).

Peter kind of fails to properly explain himself and the alternate universe thing though. So Wally comes to the obvious conclusion that Peter is someone he knew, or at least heard of, before the spell. When Wally realizes all the issues Peter is having adjusting to life without a legal identity he offers to take him in.

(It would be fun to combine this with birdflash and 'Richard Parker and Dick Grayson are the same person' AUs.)

(I also think it would be funny if Peter said, "Dr. Strange did it." Like imagine Hugo Strange chilling in his cell when the bats pop in and demand answers he doesn't have lol.)

Are they the most masculine things ever? No, of course not! But when you compare them to the outfits we see her wear before the crash, when they're still in Wiskayok?

thinking of trans allegory neil josten. chose a new name and identity for himself and desperately wants to move forward and live his life as such. to carve a path for himself other than the one he was forced into from birth. wishing he could leave his old name and past behind.

unwilling to let others see his body, covered in scars. always opting to change alone. covering himself up as much as he can. baggy shirts and faded jeans. hiding a binder (even if in canon it isn’t that kind) with his life.

letting any of these things slip would have disastrous consequences for him. he’ll do anything to prevent that. very few get to have the truth, or even a sliver of it, shared with them. trusted with them.

because he believes it can never last. he can’t be neil josten forever.

and yet, and yet, and yet. despite the secrets he keeps, the foxes love him. they accept him and will fight for him because they are family. and even after his world ends, and everybody knows, he is able to find his way back home to them. and they are not letting go.
