Mundus Cereris -Mundus Patet
Mundus Cereris was a stone building in the form of a circular well located in the Forum of Rome that, according to Roman beliefs, led to the underworld. It was sealed with a stone slab known as lapis manalis. The slab was uncovered three times a year, once in August, once in October, and a third time in November. The opening was inaugurated with the official announcement of Mundus Patet ("the world is open"), thus spirits were given temporary permission from the underworld to legally roam among the living. During those days people had to be careful not to be drawn into the underworld. To appease the spirits, they prepared special sweets and left them on the doorsteps of homes; Offerings were also made to agricultural deities, especially the goddess Ceres, and to deities of the underworld. Roman sources tells of larvae, spirits “who feed on the life of mortals” and maniae, beings who looked like “horrible skeletons who kindle madness in the living.” Mundus Cereris means World of Ceres. Ceres was the goddess of fertile earth and guardian of the portals to the underworld.

Lil' Chai and her birth parents!
They're not around anymore (because of the Bahamut Blast). Macchiato was an escaped Dalmascan conscript turned Reaper working with the Lemures, and Sencha was Drusilla's childhood friend who lived in the mountains near Lapis Manalis and left Garlemald with her.

Unleashing Your Inner Geet ♡
In the vibrant tapestry of Bollywood cinema, there are characters who transcend the screen, becoming beacons of inspiration. Geet, from the iconic movie "Jab We Met," is one such character the most adorable character I've seen so far whose mindset and approach to life leave an indelible mark on our hearts. If you any of you is not from India or is not a bollywood fan go and watch it rn! I beg you 😭 and Ik every desi person has watched this movie. Anyways let's get started ✮

Embrace Spontaneity : Geet's spontaneity is infectious. She lives in the moment, unafraid to express herself fully. In our lives, embracing spontaneity can lead to new experiences, deeper connections, and a sense of freedom from constraints.
Find Joy in Small Things : From dancing in the rain to relishing a simple cup of tea, Geet finds joy in life's small pleasures. This mindset shift reminds us to appreciate the beauty around us, even in the mundane aspects of daily life.
Pursue Your Dreams Fearlessly : Geet's dream of traveling to Manali reflects her fearless pursuit of what she desires and even the determination and trust she held onto anshuman 😭. We can learn from her determination and courage to chase our dreams relentlessly, overcoming obstacles along the way.
Embrace Change and Adaptability : Life is a journey filled with twists and turns, much like Geet's unexpected encounters and situations. Learning to embrace change and adaptability helps us navigate life's challenges with resilience.
Cultivate Optimism and Positivity : Geet's optimism is a ray of sunshine in every situation. Cultivating a positive outlook can transform how we perceive setbacks, turning them into opportunities for growth and learning. She never had a 'what if' thought in her mind making it easier for her to think Positively.
Love Unconditionally : Geet's capacity to love unconditionally, whether it's her family or Aditya or even that mf anshuman (i still have a beef with him), teaches us about the transformative power of love. Embracing love with an open heart can bring depth and meaning to our relationships.
Live Authentically : Geet is unapologetically herself, embracing her quirks and flaws. Living authentically means honoring our true selves, embracing our uniqueness, and letting go of societal expectations.
Embrace Self-Discovery : Geet's journey is not just about external adventures but also about self-discovery. Taking time for introspection, exploring our passions, and understanding our values leads to personal growth and fulfillment.
As we channel our inner Geet, let's remember that Each one of the desi girl is a GEET we all are GEET fr 😭💅🏼
Anyways bye love you!!! 🫶

Lapis Manalis and Reaper Lore
In the mountains to the east of Garlemald, inside the cavern of Lapis Manalis, there is an abandoned village where Garleans once practiced the Reaper arts.
The Reapers were skilled warriors who carried out missions for the senate and played an invaluable role in the Garlean military. However, they fell out of favor as Emperor Solus devoted more resources to magitek. When some rose as insurrectionists, the order was outlawed.
The Galateae, masterfully crafted dolls, were crucial in the Reaper's training. Only those who have successfully forged a pact with an avatar may spar with the Galatea Parva, and the Galatea Magna is reserved for those who can serve as a host to their avatar.
The Dollmaster's Memorandum reveals that the art of making Galateae has been lost, making repairs difficult and reproduction impossible. The knowledge was kept secret and passed down to those who would inherit the position of master dollmaker.
Trivia:
In the Latin language, a "lapis manalis" referred to two sacred stones used in the Roman religion. One of these stones covered the gate to the realm of the Underworld, preventing the souls of the dead, or the "Manes," from wandering the Earth. A ceremony was held three times a year to remove the stone and allow the dead to communicate with the living. The other stone was used to make rain and may not have a direct relationship with the Manes. It is instead derived from the verb "manare”, meaning "to flow" and it is known as the "stone that throws water." The first stone could be related to how reapers are able to communicate with otherworldly souls, their voidsent avatar. The second stone could be related to the abundant Ceruleum spring that flows inside the cavern and blends well with Cagnazzo being the archfiend of water.

🌄 Wanderlust Unleashed: My Unforgettable Stay at Yolo Backpackers in Old Manali
Nestled in the heart of Old Manali, Yolo Backpackers is more than a hostel—it’s a pulsating hub of stories, starlit bonfires, and the kind of budget magic that turns strangers into soulmates. Think mismatched furniture, guitars leaning against pine walls, and a garden where the Himalayas feel close enough to high-five. Here’s how I turned my stay into an epic adventure—without emptying my wallet.

A serene view in my nearby trek!
🥾 3 Treks Thatll Rewire Your Soul
1. Lamadug Meadow: Where the Sky Dances with Grass
Why go? A 5-hour hike through apple orchards and whispering pines leads to meadows that look like Van Gogh’s brushstrokes. Camp overnight to watch the Milky Way spill over snow-capped peaks. Metaphor alert: It’s like stepping into a snow globe shaken by the gods. 🌌 2. Jogini Falls: The Trail of Whispers
Why go? Follow the Rani River past hidden shrines to a waterfall that thunders like a drumroll. Swim in icy pools or meditate on sun-warmed rocks. Pro tip: Go early to avoid crowds and catch the light playing peekaboo through the mist. 💦 3. Rumsu Village: Time Travel in the Himalayas
Why go? This offbeat 4-hour trek winds through ancient cedar forests to a 500-year-old village where time moves slower than a sleepy cat. Sip chai with locals and hear folktales that’ll make your spine tingle. Bonus: The village temple’s carvings could give Tolkien’s elves envy.* 🏞️
🌟 5 Unmissable Adventures in Old Manali
Swing by Drifters’ Café: Swap travel tales over banana pancakes and masala chai—their rooftop is a magnet for dreamers.
Chill at Hadimba Temple: This 16th-century wooden temple, surrounded by deodar giants, feels like a scene from a mythical forest.
Paraglide over Solang Valley: Soar like a paper plane over valleys that stretch like a green quilt. Budget hack: Book through Yolo for group discounts! 🪂
Vashisht Hot Springs: Soak in sulfur springs where backpackers and sadhus swap philosophies. Don’t miss: The butter-scented parathas at nearby stalls.
Moonlit Jam Sessions: Yolo’s bonfires spark impromptu concerts. Bring a drum, a poem, or just your off-key singing voice.
🌿 Unique Travel Experiences
Forage for Wild Mint: Join a local guide to gather herbs for a magical Himalayan tea ritual.
Midnight Stargazing: Yolo’s rooftop offers constellations so vivid, you’ll swear they’re within reach.
Volunteer at a Goat Farm: Spend a morning herding goats—yes, really—and earn a free lunch of organic goodies. 🐐
🧠 Pro Tips for Savvy Explorers
🎒 Ready to Trade Wi-Fi for Wild Rivers?
Yolo Backpackers isn’t just a place to sleep—it’s a launchpad for stories you’ll tell your grandkids. Book that bunk, lace up your boots, and let the mountains rewrite your definition of "living." Your future self will high-five you. 🚀
P.S. The hostel pet, Ludo, demands tribute in the form of chin scratches. Fail to comply, and he’ll photobomb your sunset selfies. You’ve been warned.
Keywords: budget travel, travel tips, backpacking hacks, Manali trekking, budget-friendly stays.

“Don’t be like the rest of them DARLING..” ✨🫶🏻

{picture by friend.., location: Manali }
"My doctor was talking about how so often people don't wear their favorite perfume daily because they're saving it for a special occasion, or they don't burn their favorite candle because they want to save it for a special evening and how many of us do that with all sorts of things in life, we don't take risks, and then all of a sudden 6-7 years pass and you have a full bottle of stale perfume, or your favorite candle is collecting dust and life passed you by before you ever knew, because you were waiting for something special or living in fear when every day is important. She said, you can get another candle but you can't get another day."
So love yourself and live the present fully so that you won’t regret in future that you missed something or you didn’t live fully. Do what you wanna do but yes remember don’t hurt someone. Fulfil your desire, laugh a lot and loud who stops you..!! Live yourself a little more, eat little more but not too much ‘cause “Health is Wealth” remember. Go, go ahead before it gets too late, enjoy it. ✨❤️

I don't know why I keep struggling so much with basic life stuff, and keep fighting my brain when some people know exactly what they want, go after it and live happily with social connections, life pursuits and health. Some girl from my batch is already a lawyer . I didn't know that was possible. Some guy is currently on a trip around Manali. My best friend, who is from a family like mine, is a software engineer and is slowly levelling up financially. I don't even know how to describe my job. why

Summit Stories
So this is the story about how I completed my first ever Himalayan trek. The first of many himalayan trek yet to come.
I started planning for this trek only when my cousin asked me to come with her and her friends on 12th May 2024 because I was talking about how I really wanted to go to Manali. I was hesitant at first because it was starting on 26 May only 2 weeks from then. I quickly decided that I was going to the trek and all alone, I did not ask many of my friends because they were still busy in giving silly exams. I knew if I did not seize this chance I would regret it. So, on the day of the start of the trip at the railway station I was very nervous because I am shy and find it hard to make friends with strangers. Then in just a few minutes there I was sitting on the coach of a train with 20 strangers and already started vibing with all of them. The first two days went travelling as we travelled from Pune to Delhi. Spent the day at a waterpark where we had way too much fun and then we truly got to know each other and realised how awesome the next 10 days were going to be because we were already acting like we knew each other all out lives. We took a bus from Delhi to Manali and reached Manali at around 8am. After freshening up and having our dinner we went for a nice walk around the hills, wandering around the main road of Naggar, a small town near main Manali. At night we were served with delicious Pav Bhaji and Gulab Jamuns and we gulped all of it since we were very tired and hungry because of the walking. We packed our bags for the next day as it was the day we were starting our main trek from base camp to camp number 1. The next day we started trekking and for the first time while trekking I wanted to go ahead of everyone else like it was a race even though it was not. That was the time I got some time alone to myself as some people were yet to catch up and I looked down to only see green trees, when I looked up there were only dark clouds hinting for possible pouring down. It was the most beautiful scene I had ever seen, that moment was magical, my heart was pumping fast and I could hear its beats up to my ears.
After reaching the camp we drank some nice orange juice and quickly chose our tents, after putting our bags in the tent we went to collect wood for campfire that was supposed to take place at night. At night after dinner we gathered around the campfire sharing horror stories and gossip about each others' life which we termed "tea". Then we started singing songs and it was an absolutely ethereal moment. The next day was also quite tough as we started trekking to camp 2 this time with rain pouring torrentially. We wore our raincoats and me with 3 of my friends started walking faster to reach there ASAP. On our way there we started revising the periodic table for some reason I still am not aware of (classic Science student moment I guess). This time also with the aim of reaching ahead of everyone I got ahead of the rest of the pack and got engrossed up in my own thoughts. It felt like I was in a different dimension entirely, just a different entity from every other living thing on planet Earth at that particular moment. It felt like after 2 years of constant struggle and frustration I was finally free, able to feel the peace that I manifested of when I was giving my toughest exams. We had to stop because it started raining cats and dogs later on again. Somehow after reaching the camp. We enjoyed a few glasses of orange juice and the climate up there was really cold. The tents were being set up so we were their covered with sleeping bags and stuck to each other's bodies for warmth. After we got into the tents we all slept and woke up after approximately 30 mins. We gathered up to collect woods again. Again, after dinner we played our favourite songs on the speaker and a special song "A sky full of stars" was being played every night, it was better than the entire concert because we had a sky full of stars above our heads and there was no lie. The next 2 days were going to be even tougher as we were going to practice the summit and the summit. The next whole day we spent trekking and after coming back had Maggi and slept ASAP with some fun here and there.
Now comes the best day, the summit - it all started really rough as we were already 30 minutes late which meant that because of bad weather conditions we would be delayed by almost 2 hour on our return journey. As we started climbing because of the drop in oxygen levels and pressure, it was getting harder to breathe and we were taking longer breaks. Again character-wise I got ahead of the pack and was rushing towards the summit but everytime I felt like I was almost there, a long mountain range would become visible, this time they were of snow, finally, what we were dying to see for a week was visible. It was only after we walking in snow that we realised how difficult it actually was to walk in snow. We were on the verge of giving up and to worsen the situation there were darker clouds hovering over our heads, almost on the top of the snow mountain, there were snow clouds, not rain, but snow, somehow our instructors gathered courage to take a whole batch of 24 people on the top knowing the risk. Reaching the summit I was SHOCKED, I was numb not being able to feel my hands, my nose was red, my ears were covered with cotton balls and my head was spinning, I was the 2nd person to reach the summit only behind a guy who had already done it once. At that moment I hugged my friends who were all crying, for some reason, I was not able to comprehend the emotions I was feeling at that time, my heart felt heavy, reaching the Bhrigu lake we requested the tour guides to let us drink the water, we did drink it, it did not taste any different but it was something I wanted to experience. I have longed to be in that moment again for the better part of a year now, I felt free for the first time in my life then.
Now, the real trouble started as a snow storm started coming in our direction, it was twice as difficult to climb down than it was to climb up. It did not help that we were out of food and water, the only thing keeping us going was adrenaline and some of the food that we had in the morning, we climbed down taking our time and were back by 6:00 pm. We quickly had our dinner and slept as it had been a very hectic day and we had to climb to the base the very next day. The next day was the same we climbed down, visited a temple and came back to our base camp, freshening up and went to have dinner in Naggar's restaurant. After that we finished up our repacking for the bus journey the next day. We did rafting which was the second most fun experience on that trip. After that we only started to get sadder as we were about to be seperated. When we sat in the train from Delhi, we were all very sad as this beautiful trip was coming to an end. It did not help that while we were in the train, it was being delayed slowly and it got delayed by 12 hours!!! We reached at Pune station at 1am night. It was then I finally got to know why we like going on vacations so much, it is not the destination, not the journey either, but the company that we keep, it is always the people. I am glad that I went on that trek alone without any friends but I was coming back with a box full of memories and people to remember for life!!!!

Through the Lens of Intrigue: A Stay at Yolo Backpackers, Old Manali
Old Manali isn’t just a destination; it’s a mosaic of vibrant experiences. Cobblestone alleys meander into lush orchards, and the crisp mountain air carries a sense of boundless possibility. At the heart of this dynamic scene stands Yolo Backpackers — not merely a guest house, but a hub of connection and discovery. This wasn’t just a trip; it was an opportunity to immerse myself in the compelling rhythm of the Himalayas, where every detail invited curiosity and exploration.

Yolo Backpackers: A Place to Belong
From the moment I entered Yolo Backpackers, it felt like stepping into a carefully composed work of art. The architecture blended harmoniously with its surroundings, the warm wood and thoughtful design elements creating a sense of welcoming sophistication. The rooms were cozy yet efficient, offering a serene retreat without distraction. Each corner of the space seemed to encourage meaningful interaction, whether through quiet reflection or animated conversations with fellow travelers.
The staff were the unsung heroes of the experience, striking the perfect balance between attentiveness and respect for privacy. Their insights into the area transformed my stay, revealing layers of Old Manali I might have otherwise overlooked. It was clear they were as passionate about the region as they were about creating a memorable guest experience.

Couldn't ask for a better stay!
Recreational Experiences: Moments That Inspire
Old Manali is a playground for those who seek both adventure and serenity. Each experience felt like an essential piece of a larger narrative, where excitement and tranquility coexisted seamlessly.
Cafe Hopping: Savoring the Spirit of the Town Cafes like The Lazy Dog and Rasta Cafe became my sanctuaries, each offering its own unique atmosphere. Whether it was the soft hum of music or the captivating views, these spaces fostered a sense of connection. Sharing meals and stories with fellow travelers felt less like chance encounters and more like moments of genuine human connection.
Hiking to Jogini Falls: Embracing the Journey The trek to Jogini Waterfall was a testament to the beauty of the journey itself. The trail, surrounded by verdant greenery and the gentle sounds of nature, felt alive with promise. At the summit, the waterfall greeted me with its serene majesty, a reminder of the power and grace inherent in the natural world.
Vashisht Hot Springs: A Warm Embrace of Nature The soothing waters of Vashisht Hot Springs offered a moment of pure relaxation. The steam rose like a comforting veil, creating an intimate connection with the earth’s geothermal energy. It was a gentle reminder that even amidst adventure, moments of stillness have their place.
Evenings in Old Manali: A Vibrant Tapestry As the sun set, Old Manali transformed into a lively canvas of music, lights, and laughter. At Drifters’ Cafe, live performances infused the air with energy, bringing together people from all walks of life. It was an experience that celebrated community and creativity, leaving a lasting impression.
A Gateway to Discovery
Yolo Backpackers is more than just a place to rest; it’s a launchpad for exploration and connection. Dungeon Dialogue: Lapis Manalis
Pes Albus (X: 11.6, Y: 14.8) - Fighting on the Snowcraft
Spirited Engineer: Careful up there─you're not like to see much through the snow. Estinien: It seems we were right to ride atop the snowcraft. ↳ Y’shtola: Indeed. Let us hold nothing back. Zero: How bothersome... Alisaie: The wildlife here is certainly bold. Y’shtola: To arms! Albus Griffin: Caw! Spirited Engineer: Hopefully that's the last of those winged bastards... I'm afraid this is as far as the mammoth'll go. You'll have to make it the rest of the way on foot.
Mons Albus #1 (X: 10.6, Y: 13.9) - Vista of the Tower of Babil
Alisaie: You can see the Tower of Babil from here! ↳ Alphinaud: And it's no less imposing, even from this great distance. Zero: White as far as the eye can see... Estinien: A welcome change of scenery. Y’shtola: I imagine the view from here must be breathtaking.
Mons Albus #2 (X: 10.2, Y: 12.8) - Mons Albus
Albus Bear: Grooogh! Fleeing Rat: <squeak> Fleeing Antelope: <bleat> Visitant Bloodguard #1: Your aether will be mine! Visitant Bloodguard #2: I must feed!
First Boss, Before engaging (X: 11.2, Y: 11.6) - Albion
Varshahn: If this beast would bar our path... ↳ Zero: A simple enough task. Alphinaud: A veritable giant among the wildlife here to be sure. Y’shtola: Is this beast native to the mountain?
First Boss, After defeating (X: 11.2, Y: 11.6) - Albion
Varshahn: Come. Let us press onward. ↳ Alisaie: To the cavern! Alphinaud: There is something to be said for the fortitude of nature. Y’shtola: Well, that wasn't too difficult.
Vicus Messorum #1 (X: 10.5, Y: 13.6) - Cavern Entrance
Alphinaud: So this is Lapis Manalis... ↳ Estinien: This is no time for gawping. Watch your step. Varshahn: How vast is this cavern, I wonder? Alisaie: Is it just me, or is the wind blowing warm air? Y’shtola: What is this presence...? Visitant Vodoriga: Such rich aether!
Vicus Messorum #2 (X: 11.0, Y: 11.1) - The Reaper Village Remnants
Zero: The presence of voidsent permeates this place... ↳ Y’shtola: I would expect no less from the birthplace of the reaper's art. Estinien: The reaper village. Or what remains of it... Alisaie: Is this the village Jullus told us about? Y’shtola: A most curious place indeed. Galatea Parva #1: <crick-crack> Come for training, are you? Galatea Parva #2: <creeeak> Ready your scythe! Galatea Parva #3: This will <snap> warm you up. Dated Recors: The assaults from outside tribes have markedly increased of late. The Geraldines proved an especially barbarous thorn in our sides, their nigh ceaseless pillaging no doubt an effort to hoard supplies in preparation for the coming winter. No longer able to tolerate the damages suffered by these incursions, the senate issued an order for their king's assassination, and we reapers were asked to ready our blades. With three of her fellows in tow, Galatea set out under cover of night and infiltrated the enemy fortress. Their mission was a great success which soon put the enemy to rout. Faded Records: Emperor Solus is convinced this magitek will spark a revolution in warfare as we know it. And as he devotes further resources to its advancement, our arts continue to fall out of favor. I fear the age of the reaper has come to an end. After all our forebears have sacrificed for the good of the Empire. The blood spilled, the lives lost. They would dare deem us relics of a bygone era. Indeed, they believe the future lies with their “reaper” battle armor. Trainee Warning Notice: Aspirants are reminded not to approach the figures of the Pale Harvest without express permission. They should be treated with no less reverence than Galatea herself, and are hardly less dangerous. Only those who have successfully forged a pact with an avatar may spar with the Galatea Parva. They will serve to refine one's use of invocations and tactical coordination. The Galatea Magna, however, is reserved for those who are able to serve as host to their avatar. This periculous manikin is designed to push a reaper to their limits, if not beyond them. Learn to walk in death's shadow, and you shall know no fear. Dollmaster’s Memorandum: Maintenance of the Galateae must be handled with the utmost of care. The delicate art of their making has long since been lost, making repairs difficult, and reproduction all but impossible. The knowledge was kept secret, passed down to those who would inherit the position of master dollmaker. That is, until one man chose to break with tradition. He claimed to be leaving on a journey in pursuit of an “unparalleled beauty,” but we never learned the truth of it. The only thing that is certain, is the art of our forebears left with him.
Second Boss, Before engaging (X: 11.2, Y: 8.9) - Galatea Magna
Varshahn: Magicked puppets? Here? ↳ Alisaie: And equipped for combat training. How delightful... Alphinaud: What possessed them to create such automata? Estinien: Voidsent, I expected. But puppets...? Y’shtola: Despite their menacing demeanor, they're quite charming.
Second Boss, During the fight (X: 11.2, Y: 8.9) - Galatea Magna
Galatea Magna: Commencing basic training regimen. <crack> Your time to completion will be recorded. Galatea Magna: Leave no openings. Your strikes must be quick and decisive. Galatea Magna: That concludes your basic training. Commencing <crick-crack> advanced training regimen. Galatea Magna: Remain calm and collected, no matter your circumstances. Galatea Magna: Remember─you must hone your skills daily. It will be key to your survival. Second Boss, After defeating (X: 11.2, Y: 8.9) - Galatea Magna Galatea Magna: <creak> Regimen complete. Evaluation ranking: 12. Not even the lowest order of voidsent would be daunted by such meager strength. Galatea Magna: <creak> Regimen complete. Evaluation ranking: 9. Your mastery of fundamentals will carry you far. Continue your training and seek ever greater heights. Galatea Magna: <creak> Regimen complete. Evaluation ranking: 7. A respectable performance. Such strength would prove a match for even warrior-class voidsent. Galatea Magna: <creak> Regimen complete. Evaluation ranking: 5. A commendable performance. Such strength would prove a match for even knight-class voidsent. Galatea Magna: <creak> Regimen complete. Evaluation ranking: 3. A spectacular performance. Such strength might even prove a match for Galatea herself were she still alive. Galatea Magna: <creak> Regimen complete. Evaluation ranking: 2. Impossible... Only Rullus has achieved such a feat. Galatea Magna: <creak> Regimen complete. Evaluation ranking: 1. Even the great rulers of voidsent would struggle to contend with such strength. Galatea Magna: <creak> Regimen complete. An equal to Drusilla. Extraordinary... Zero: That doll was not unlike a voidsent... ↳ Alisaie: We can muse about that later. Let's get going. Varshahn: Come, let us make haste. Estinien: At the very least, it made for good sport. Alisaie: That certainly was a challenge. Y’shtola: A masterfully crafted doll.
Fons Manalis #1 (X: 9.5, Y: 13.2) - Fons Manalis
Estinien: That was quite a fall. ↳ Y’shtola: Thankfully we emerged unscathed. Alphinaud: Is everyone all right? Zero: Ugh... Alisaie: Gods, that startled me. Y’shtola: Let us proceed with caution.
Fons Manalis #2 (X: 10.9, Y: 11.1) - The Voidgate
Y’shtola: There─the voidgate! ↳ Varshahn: At last, we've found it. Varshahn: Azdaja! I sense she is close! Zero: There it is. Estinien: On your guard, everyone! Alisaie: So the gate really was here. Visitant Satana #1: Trespassers! Visitant Satana #2: Stop them!
Third Boss, Before engaging (X: 12.6, Y: 9.3) - Cagnazzo
Cagnazzo: Hah hah hah! All shall cower before the might of Archfiend Cagnazzo! Estinien: This one seems formidable. ↳ Y’shtola: To be appointed as an archfiend, I should certainly think so. Varshahn: What is it they seek? Alphinaud: No doubt it is here to guard the gate. Estinien: This one's not at all like the others. Alisaie: It looks a lot like the Kojin. Y’shtola: An archfiend... So this is Golbez's doing.
Third Boss, During the fight (X: 12.6, Y: 9.3) - Cagnazzo
Cagnazzo: I've been waiting so long. Don't disappoint! Cagnazzo: Brace yourselves! The chamber begins to fill with water... Cagnazzo: I bring my all to bear! Cagnazzo: Drink deep of blackest terror! Cagnazzo: I wonder how you'll taste. Cagnazzo: You really must try harder! Cagnazzo: Battle does so whet the appetite. Gheh heh heh heh! Spires of water begin amassing aether... Cagnazzo: No more games! Cagnazzo: Be swallowed by the tide! Varshahn: Is everyone all right? Zero: Still in one piece. Y’shtola: It will take more than that to stop us. Alphinaud: Hold fast, everyone! Cagnazzo: What!? That's not right! Cagnazzo: How do you like this? A malevolent energy spills forth from the void... Cagnazzo: Good, good. A fitting finale! Cagnazzo: Grrr, why are you still alive!?
Third Boss, After defeating (X: 12.6, Y: 9.3) - Cagnazzo
Varshahn: I feel your presence, Sister. Where are you? Alphinaud: Why do you suppose they chose here for their lair? Zero: That they could open so large a gate is troubling. Estinien: So goes yet another archfiend. Alisaie: Well, that was a challenge.Y’shtola: I've never seen a voidsent with such command over water.

Agent Ace || Map of Harmont
Ever read Agent Ace and wonder where Sophia and Harley are relative to one another at any given time? So did I, and that's why I made this handy-dandy map of Harmont!
There are a lot of locations in Agent Ace, and our characters don't stay in one place for long. While you don't necessarily need to read the map to follow along in the story, if you're a visual learner like me, who sometimes has trouble keeping track of locations without a point of reference, then hopefully you can get as much use and enjoyment out of this map that I do!
Obligatory disclaimer that I am not a professional map maker. I drew heavy inspiration from maps of real cities I'm familiar with, and distances, borders, etc. are not drawn to scale. Names of locations are also subject to change at any time, as I am incredibly critical and indecisive of my choices in such matters.
The map itself is made to be relatively simple so you can easily find each location. The line connecting multiple neighborhoods shows the trajectory of the light rail, and the red arrows represent island ferries. Districts are coordinated by color, and there are brief descriptions for each neighborhood below the cut. Bear in mind that some of these descriptions may contain spoilers for Agent Ace, so read at your own risk!
MAKER'S DISTRICT
Champion: Equinox Area Commanders: Firelily, Umbra Council Delegate: Orya Stockdale
ATWOOD
Cozy and retro; home to a number of restaurants, boutiques, and parks. Housing prices are especially high.
BARLOW
Barlow is best known for being the location of the main training complex for new recruits of the Guard, adapted from a long-dead shopping mall. A quiet neighborhood that is much more affordable to live in, at the cost of a higher crime rate.
BENNIC
The biggest commerical neighborhood in the Maker's District, home to an upbeat and close-knit community.
DARKSBURY
Over the years, Darksbury has built up an unfortunate reputation as an undesirable place to live. With a gritty environment and difficult living costs, this neighborhood seems to attract trouble.
ORSTON
Landem's biggest features include an abundance of unconventional art installations and a weekend market flaunting local arts and crafts and vintage wares. Most of the restaurants here are fine dining, yet the housing is surprisingly affordable. Also the location of the city's annual Architect's Festival.
TALAKE
A relaxed lakeside neighborhood with lots of green space; perfect for picnics, casual athletics, and aquatic activities.
HUB DISTRICT
Champion: Talon Area Commanders: Dove, Jet Council Delegate: Cressida Manalis
ARKLEY
A quiet suburb with a sleepy village-vibe, Arkley boasts plenty of wildlife trails and a stunning view of the bay that shares its name. Beautiful but pricey.
BLUMOORE
A vibrant neighborhood that appeals to both the serene and the wild side. The ritzy north end hosts cafes, bookstores, a celebrated florist shop, and old historic mansions that have been standing since before the Guardian era. On the other hand, the dynamic south end is much more lively when the sun goes down; bars and dance clubs are popular venues for block parties and live music. LOCATION(S) OF NOTE -Dorian's Garden (Florist, North End) -The Vibe (Night Club, South End)
CONCORD
A small, robust neighborhood that's home to a variety of cultural eateries and coffee houses, but best known for its history museums and community food festivals. However, despite the reputation for having a generally friendly populace, many consider Concord unsafe at night.
DANTARY
Dantary is widely regarded as the heart of the city. The downtown market is a hot spot year-round, as is the Ferris Wheel docks by the harbor, which transform into a carnival for four months of the year. Movie theaters, rooftop bars, and waterfront housing do make this one of the more expensive neighborhoods to live in, but the abundance of public transportation makes traversing these streets much easier. LOCATION(S) OF NOTE -Kinghaven Park (Amusement Park)
ENDEN
Enden has the highest population of Guardian patrols to compensate for the historically high violent crime. Coupled with the difficult schooling and housing in this area, people generally try to avoid this neighborhood at all costs.
KINGHAVEN
Perhaps the most luxurious neighborhood Harmont has to offer, if the name is any indication. Buildings and skyscrapers imitate a Romanesque-style architecture that can't be found anywhere else in the city, and the collection of specialty shops, art galleries, and a grand stadium for sports and Guardian festivities make Kinghaven a must-see spot for any visitor.
LEXDON
The de facto technology industry of Harmont, spearheading the movement of biotech development. Despite the presence of innovative warehouses and high-rise apartments and condos, housing and rentals are surprisingly affordable, even if night crime and traffic congestion are higher than usual. LOCATION(S) OF NOTE -Vigilante Training Complex -August's Apartment
PANDOR
Pandor is widely residential, thanks to its high appeal to the cultural side with soul food joints, tap rooms, museums, and a high-end performing arts center. Even with all of these amenities, Pandor makes plenty of room for green parks and playgrounds, keeping the neighborhood scene active but easygoing. LOCATION(S) OF NOTE -Tona Buna Cafe (Ethiopian coffee shop owned by Imani Clarke and Angel de Soto) -De Soto Residence -Manalis House
SKYLAR
Known for its steep hills and stunning architecture, Skylar is the main hub for the Watch and the City Council. Uphill is home to upscale shops, bars, and some of the best views of the city, while garden venues adorn the downhill scene. LOCATION(S) OF NOTE -The Watchtower (Lower Skylar) -Colbo Architectural Firm (Upper Skylar)
STOCKARD
Casual and somewhat grungy, Stockard has some of the most affordable schooling and housing in the district. Paired with an abundance of apartments and high-rise condos with waterfront views, this neighborhood is a favorite for families looking to settle down. The night life is unexpectedly lively, featuring jazz lounges, nightclubs, and sunset parks for the night owls. LOCATION(S) OF NOTE -Apartment of Ahn Taeho and Evelyn Moon
GATEWAY DISTRICT
Champion: Scythe Area Commanders: Halo, Cyclone Council Delegate: Ronan Dalton
ALENYA
A quiet, residential area of lakeside beaches, parks, and the largest public garden in the city.
CROFTHILL
Charming and quiet, Crofthill is connected by parks and playgrounds. The north side hosts coffee shops and a library, while the south side is best known for its bakeries.
EASTLOOK
Industrial and eclectic, Eastlook has a prominent food and bar scene, and features the city's main airport and steam plant. All light rail stations connect back here.
WILLOUGHS
Quaint but lively and known for its friendly locals, downtown Willoughs is home to small shops, brunch cafes, and open mic shows. Housing here is mostly affordable, consisting of townhouses, apartment complexes, and single-family homes. LOCATION(S) OF NOTE -Residence of Ahren and Sophia Colbo
BAY DISTRICT
Champion: Moonbow Area Commanders: Zephyr, Maelstrom Council Delegate: Kallisto Neal
CALANELL
Laid-back and communal, this island neighborhood holds a small-town feel for those that live there. Coffee shops and grocery stores are within walking distance of residential areas, as are the parks and beaches that make this area so popular. The bay bridge connects the land to the rest of the city, and the woods grow quite dense east of the community border. LOCATION(S) OF NOTE -Former Manalis Residence -Entrance to Tempera Forest Park
ACADEMY DISTRICT
Champion: Viper Area Commanders: Sphinx, Barracuda Council Delegate: Galilea Albright
AYLOR
Home to the esteemed Aylor Institute, a college bringing STEM and fine arts students together, all thanks to dean and renowned scientist Dr. Billie Prout. The population of Aylor is made up almost entirely of college students demanding independence from the rest of the city, and is a haven of cheap eats, shopping centers, and hiking trails. Every school year concludes with a street fair featuring the labors of students' creations and accomplishments before they enter the work force as developed adults. LOCATION(S) OF NOTE -Aylor Institute -Jade and Max's Apartment
RITCHING
Houses some of the best schools in the districts and decent public facilities. Looks may be deceiving, however, as violent crime is not uncommon.
