Some ideas for regressing subtly in public (specifically at places like stores, the mall, etc) that aren't just "wear cute socks and have keychains" hehe

Walk with your arms and legs straight!! Keeping my hands out a little at my sides makes me feel very tiny. And sitting with my legs straight out too

Play little games in your head!!! My favorite is people-watching games! Count how many people r wearing glasses, how many people r wearing red shirts, etc!!

I also like to walk thru th kids aisles, like toys and baby supplies! Even if u don't get anything it's fun to browse! And if anyone asks you can say "I like looking at the baby stuff because it's cute"

Excuses I've used for wanting to buy baby stuff is "my friends little sibling is having their birthday party soon" or "my friend is letting me tag along to a baby shower with them and I don't want to go empty-handed"

Also you can just take off the tags discreetly and swipe it. Stealing isn't this big bad crime like big corporations want you to think it is. Just don't steal from small independent businesses that will actually be impacted by it

I also like to kinda stomp around a little when I walk!!

Car games >:] also in ur head. But you can count car colors, jump cows with imaginary little superheroes, anything you want!! You can look up car games if you don't have any ideas :]

The afamspec experience is slowly realizing how familial-focused society is. A "family emergency" can get you out of work or school with little to no explanation needed, but saying your friend had an emergency gets you hours of calls and emails and paperwork trying to explain your absence. When you get a new partner and things get serious, they're expected to meet your parents as the next big step in things. You can't go into the ER in some situations with someone unless you two are legally family. You can't visit someone in certain mental hospitals unless you are legally family. It's driving me mad

Lookin' for these? *Tails looks up to see Sonic holding three arcade tickets. Tails stands up, beaming*

Yeah! Where'd you find them??

Had 'em in me and Shadow's room. You ready to go?

*Tails nods* Mhm! Is Shadow coming too?

*Sonic ruffles Tails' fur* Yep. He's looking forward to feeling more like a member of the family. I mean, he didn't say that, but I know what his different glares mean.

Hehe.. Okay! Let's go! *They head out to wait in the foyer. Shadow comes in a couple moments later carrying some jackets*

If we're going to stay out late, it may get cool. Here. *He tosses Sonic his red and white letterman jacket and Tails the Shadow-themed backup. Shadow himself is wearing a black leather jacket with shoulder studs. Tails pulls on the letterman jacket, which is too big for him. He doesn't care. He feels so cool right now*

Thanks Shadow! This is gonna be so much fun!

Mhm. *Shadow takes Sonic's hand as they leave the house* Should we run? I don't want to leave the kid behind.

Hmm.. Hey Tails! Wanna catch a ride with Shads?

What?

Yeah! *He looks at the expression on Shadow's face* .. Uh... If that's okay with you.

.. Fine. Come on. *He crouches down and lets Tails climb onto his back. He stands and glances back at him* Holding on tight?

Yep! We are a go, captain.

Heh.. Try to keep up, faker. *He takes off. Tails uses his tails as a propeller to try and make them even faster. Shadow chuckles and leans forward, getting more speed*

Woooo!!

*Sonic comes up next to them, his arms held back as he runs at Shadow's shoulder* You two look like you're having fun~!

Go Shadow go! Don't let him win!

Hah, what??

Heh. *Shadow speeds up. Sonic pushes forward to match his pace. They're neck and neck until they reach the arcade and stop on a dime at the entrance. Tails falls forward as they stop, crashing into a sign advertising premium tickets*

Woah, Tails! You okay, lil bro?? *Sonic hurries over to help him stand, checking him for injuries. Tails' fur is all messed up from the wind*

Eheh.. Yeah. I don't think I've ever gone that fast.. That was awesome!! I need to upgrade the Tornado to go that fast!

That'll be cool, but for now, how's your head?

*Tails shakes his head* Mm. Good! Just dizzy.

*Sonic smiles and nudges his shoulder* That's my guy. Come on! It's game time.

*Shadow walks over, taking Sonic's hand again as the three of them enter the arcade*
