There is no way it's been 4 years. I have been playing Obey Me for 4 years now. Incredible. Maybe it will sound strong, but I remember that this game helped me in the most difficult moments and I am grateful for that. Thank you.

ao3 update:

Just switched both my works on ao3 to just registered users as of right now. Apparently some company did a sweep and used all of ao3 for some generative AI bullshit. Which I had no clue about until I got around to opening my phone for the first time this weekend- ugh

It’s so upsetting that some company out there would take everyone’s generous free publications online and try to turn it around to farm their AI hellscape. It actually flabbergasts the fuck out of me how any of that is legal- ESPECIALLY with profit tied to it all. I’ll never understand the logistics of it- it was already bullshit when it came to generative AI art - TRUST me I was mad about that. But the writing? Ah man like that the hell :(

Sorry that turned into a bit of a rant on my end… I plan on writing some more in the near future. Whether it’s another chapter or a one shot of some of my writing as of late we’ll see, but I may just restrict it to Tumblr for a while until things blow over. Not sure we’ll see

I had an idea for a whole essay on why Maomao is quicker to accept affection from Loulan/Shisui than from Jinshi and how that's a reflection of her being raised in the pleasure district by courtesans and thus viewing affection from women as a given and natural thing to receive and give but at the same time viewing affection between men and women as transactional and something men have to pay to get and women offer as a product but I prefer to just enjoy the doom yuri while it lasts instead

Remus, who is always quiet and composed around everyone, but lets his silly side out only with Sirius. Sirius is the only one who gets to see that side of Remus, and it's the most special thing Sirius has ever owned :(

One thing that erks me so bad is when people play off Peter Pettigrew as the lost puppy of the Marauders or write him as always off with other people or just simply not as tight knit in the group as the rest of the boys.

THAT IS NOT TRUE! HE IS A MARAUDER HE WAS JUST AS PART OF THE GROUP AS JAMES SIRIUS AND REMUS!

That's what makes his betrayal so heartbreaking and unexpected is because Peter was their brother, he also broke the law and became an animagus in 5th year because he wanted to help his friend, he also stayed up late at night creating the map with them, he also traversed the castle under the invisibility cloak with them. He was apart of them in ever bit.

His betrayal was so devastating cause no one saw it coming, he was probably there with Sirius and Remus waiting to find out the news of when baby Harry was born. He was probably dubbed Uncle Wormtail just as Remus and Sirius were Uncle Padfoot and Uncle Moony.

He was their brother and his betrayal was as blindsided and shell shocking as if Remus or Sirius betrayed James and Lily, perhaps even more because Sirius was suspected due to his Black family heritage and Remus with his Lycanthrophy.

They must have thought oh its definitely not Peter though, Peter is as loyal ad they come, he has nothing in his life that might pull him to the death eater, and depending on which version of Marauders lore you subscribe to Peter is possibly a life long childhood friend of James, grew up down the road always did everything together.

He was the last one they'd expect to be the snitch that's why Sirius told James to make him secret keeper and why James full heartedly excepted that choice. James never would've put the life of his wife and child in the hands of someone if he didn't wholeheartedly believe they would defend them as if they were James.

That's why it's so heartbreaking and that's why everytime I read a fic that plays Peter off as a clumsy guys that just wonders around them I get a upset because that's not who he was and I don't want to take creative liberties away from anyone else but in my fics Peter will get the character he deserves (so you can all cry with me when he ultimately betrays them).

Marauders in the kitchen

James Potter is the master of all things savoury. Since he was little, he learned from his parents how to peel, fry, blend, chop, and season all kinds of food. He is in charge of everything when the gang decides to occasionally cook something. His only weakness is sweets. He can not bake for shit.

That's where Peter Pettigrew comes in. Since he likes to munch on cookies and cakes, and those can be expensive sometimes, he taught himself how to bake to save some money. It also gives him time to charge his social battery from long days of mischief with the gang.

Remus Lupin CAN cook, that's why he's usually the one who helps James, as he's got the basic skills. He can make scrambled eggs, toasts, and pancakes if he's feeling fancy, but nothing too complicated (he treats food purely as energy source, not pleasurable experience). He lives for snacks tho and he'll make the best sandwiches in Hogwarts.

Sirius Black is absolutely not allowed anywhere near the kitchen. As someone who grew up being fed already prepared 5 star meals on a silver plate, he can not cook for shit and will even burn water if he has a chance. However, he has incredible bartender skills. Every time there is a party and they don't want to drink straight up liquor, he puts his skills to use. He can make straight-up ethanol taste like juice (it's scary).

OOT, but I've been watching K-pop demon hunter on repeat for a while now and i don't know if i can stop.

And on another note, now i can't help but imagine the boys in Idols of Starlight either becoming the demons or the hunters, but like japanese setting y'know? I think it'll be interesting.

ohhhhh my wooorrrrdddd!

so sorry for this but I need a place to express myself a little. just the absolute turmoil of this week people ughhhhhhhh…. had to weigh two job offers and one was close to home and the other was close to friends and significant other… approximately 10 hr away. my family had to walk me to the ledge and tell me to move today omggg I have no more tears I am finally relaxed. Who knew this would be so stressful? I thought finding a big girl job would be cool and super exciting why am I absolutely dreading everything? Probably bc I chose a career field full of men…. Or maybe it’s just the thought of being 10 hr away. Just ugh def glad that’s all over (sorta maybe kinda) also I have to still send a rejection email to one of them, how does someone do that again? Need to draft that up before Monday….. apartment hunting will be just as bad Ik it 😭

Excited to be close to friends again tho! And the place I’m moving is so pretty and cute but I’m just… sitting in a ball of dread still. If you would have told little me I’d be moving this distance I’d scoff in ur face fr…. I’ll have to say goodbye to some childhood friends for a while too but luckily both r so v busy w school so there won’t be a huge hole where I used to be. I will be back tho I think… a temporary move… of about 4-5 years lol. I guess u only live once tho!

But now that that’s all done I can write again Yipee! When I get so stressed I just ugh fall flat w writing. Thanks all for ur patience it’s just my life is shifting around a lot rn (hopefully for the better)

stumbled across a blog sharing other ppl’s fanfiction and adding AI-generated photos as “moodboards” and I just want to say - don’t do that shit! AI generated photos are unethical in a plethora of ways, and they don’t even look that good! what you could do instead is search for other people’s work to use as your inspo, and i assure you’ll find so many artists to follow and admire in the process! (of course give credit if you know the artist’s name!)

or better yet - use this opportunity to learn a new skill! you could try drawing yourself! you may not be a natural - hell, i know i’m not, but i enjoy doing it anyway! if drawing isn’t your thing, maybe take up collage or printmaking or needlepoint - there’s literally SO MANY WAYS you can create fanwork (and i’m only talking about visual artwork here! the possibilities are endless) that don’t involve just feeding a few keywords to an algorithm that’s been trained with billions of other people’s work and doesn’t engage with your sense of creativity.

Please, I beg, AI “art” is not a hobby. It’s not creative and I don’t even like to think of it as art. Literally just pick up a pencil or something.

i hate toxic fandom spaces, and honestly, that's why i've stopped posting sm about certain fandoms that i used to love. i don't understand the insane amount of stigma surrounding character perceptions; everyone is perfectly entitled to creating their own idea for these characters, whether it's canon-adjacent or not. that's meant to be part of the fun of said fandom spaces—people can share their individual insights and thoughts on characters, ships, dynamics, etc. but now there's so much shame in perceiving a character differently to the way the majority of the fandom does, for example.

you're allowed to see a character differently. ship different characters. perceive character dynamics differently. and you're allowed to talk about it. that's kind of the entire point!!!!!
