Newt got in his face and spoke in an angry rasp of a whisper. “Yeah, I especially loved the bit where you volunteered to get yourself killed.”

so many of the keepers hated his idea, and thomas thought that this was the best way to convince them … but no thomas is dying on newt’s watch 🥺🥺🥺

not to mention newt is one of the only ones to truly think thomas is a good guy. he instills in the keepers that thomas (and teresa) aren’t to blame - that the creators forced them to do this - and he even tries to wash away thomas’ own guilt. he truly trusts thomas no matter what happened in the past 🥺🥺🥺

Like. I know that Newt is strong. Obviously he is. But he's physically built so differently from Thomas and Minho and Gally and even Frypan, almost all the other surviving Gladers, so losing a fight to him would have to be so funny and so embarrassing at the same time.

Imagine being some 6 foot plus WCKD guard in full body armor with an automatic weapon and you get your shit rocked by a 5'10 teenage boy who looks like he weighs a buck ten soaking wet.

Newt puts a guard in a joint lock and Thomas is just talking to them like, "Just give us your access card, buddy. Trust me, you don't want it to go down like this. Gonna be real embarrassing for you. You're a big, tough guy, and he is made of nothing but beef jerky and granola bars."

i feel like with how the Gladers wrestle constantly, Newt’s learned some tricks on how to beat guys with bigger build than him. and he’s a nimble dude who can slip through your grasp which annoys the fuck out of Gally because he finds the tactic “Avoid” cheating

there are no ground rules for their wrestling tho so everybody ignored it when he complained

I'm a bit behind schedule and almost certainly can't do the whole thing, but day 1 of Amphibiuary2024 got me all inspired.

They say if you travel down to the deep dark vents at the bottom of the ocean there's a beast. Some say it's a dragon, others a newt. Who's to say which is the truth?

Minewt is so very very important to me

Minho, who is strong and confident, but not emotionally, someone who shies away from more delicate moments, squirms when it gets emotional, will do something nice for someone else but will not make eye contact as he does so

Newt, who is strong and confident, especially emotionally, someone who will grin as they accept help, someone who will willingly die to help someone else, someone who will hug someone in public and not show a hint of shame after, someone who will cry and not care if they're seen

Minho falling head over heels for that sense of safety, for that confidence, for that unabashed vulnerability. Meanwhile Newt is utterly clueless

while Minho is doing things that are the pinnacle of romance to his "affection is awkward" mind, Newt is just like "hey Minho left me a snack! he's been really nice lately :D"

I need input on this idea

Ok so here is my idea. I have seen people write about different disabilities and I think it's a wonderful thing to do. It helps people with them feel more included and seen in fandom. I mention this because I want to write an x reader for one of my disabilities that often gets over looked as a disability. I have a lisp and I also stutter and stammer some times. For the most part people can't tell I have these problems because I went through speech therapy for most of elementary school and so I can kind of stop it but when I get overstimulated or excited I slip up and it can be hard to understand what I'm trying say.

My idea is writing a piece where the Reader has a speech impediment like mine and is self conscious of it. Doing things like staying quite when their excited, or slowing down the way they talk so they can enunciate words correctly. All of this of course is a result of past experiences with bullies and even family members making fun of how they talk. And which ever character reassuring them that there is nothing wrong with the way they talk and don't have to try so hard to hid such a key part of who they are or even offering to help them out with keeping up with there speech therapy exersises if thats what reader wants.

The input I need is who to write this with. I'm not sure which character to write this with so I figured I'd give some choices and hopefully y'all could help me pick.
