Whumpuary Prompt 4

“Help me”

Spoiler: This is an excerpt from The Nighttime Fear

Going under is… strange. Hunter’s been sedated before, but this is different. He feels like he’s floating like there’s something pulling him in.

“I know who you are,” a familiar bright voice says, “You’re Crosshair.”

“How do you know me?” Crosshair snarls back, and the image slowly drifts into focus. Kamino. The brilliant white light is something Hunter would recognize, anywhere.

The image shifts before she can answer. It shudders, darkening, and he sees flashes, fleeting images. He sees Crosshair. He sees the girl.

The surroundings are unclear when it settles again, but it’s dimmer. Crosshair – dreseed in black, and it looks so wrong on him that it hurts – is standing, facing her. His lightsaber blade is ignited and red. That hurts, too.

Her eyes are wide.

She’s wearing a forehead-pendant thing that reminds Hunter of the one Nala Se used to wear, though it was such a long time ago, he couldn’t say if the markings are identical. He’s seen it before, but never so vividly.

“My mission is to find them,” Crosshair says, voice silkily smooth enough that it makes Hunter’s skin crawl. He only talks like that when he’s about to react with violence. “And that’s what you want. I don’t see why that should be a problem.”

“What does the Empire want with our brothers?” she demands. She sounds angry and terrified at once.

“What’s it to you?” he snarks back, stalking forwards.

The girl backs away from him, eyes wide.  “Crosshair, this isn’t you!” she yells as he grabs her wrist. “It’s your inhibitor chip!”

She knows about those, too, Hunter thinks numbly.

“Don’t make this difficult,” he snarls, “They aren’t worth hurting for.”

“Yes, they are!” she yells back at him, defiant and angry. “They’re our brothers!”

“Hunter!” She didn’t speak, because he didn’t see her say it, but he still heard the echo of his name in her mind, calling him. Crying for him.

Something I never really thought about until the recent chapters of Deltarune is Kris’s agility and gracefulness. They elegantly twirl while gliding through the air during the cooking minigame, even with plates of food stacked on their head.

They possess an incredible sense of balance, seeing as they can stack a multitude of items on their head without fail in both chapters two and three.

They also have excellent technique when it comes to turning. When they perform a pirouette/spin during battle in either chapter one or chapter four, their foot is pointed, their balance is well maintained, and their spotting is very consistent.

They’re also pretty remarkable when it comes to doing squat kicks at a quick speed, as seen in both chapter two and chapter three.

While some of this could be a result of the influence of the player, I do still believe Kris possesses a lot of skill when it comes to dancing. Their abilities could nod to the notion that they were a dancer at some point, or at the very least took dance classes.

Here's my take on a younger Legend with the Cane of Bryna during his first dungeon crawling days~ I always see younger Legend drawn in his green tunic but never his blue tunic from ALTTP. If it wasn't for his pink hair, Four could have mistaken this for Blue with that glare of his. Legend means business when solving these puzzles!

I think the Mask has some common traits regardless of who wears it (everyone gets a middle part lmao) but I think the style of the face tattoos should shift for the person.

Warriors: I tried to emulate some of the Celtic-knot-adjacent details in his outfit and yes he keeps the scarf

Wild: I leaned into Zonai elements cause what a flawless aesthetic

Wind: His markings are related to King of Red Lion’s teeth

Legend: Definitely could wear the mask, too smart to actually put it on

Additional note: when I say “cannot wear” I mean that they cannot use the powers of Fierce Deity. The mask is just a mask if they try to wear it.

Seven Holy Nights of Jeremy (Joel Week) Day 4: Diverging Paths

spideytorch prompt: johnny and peter start dating, but they don't tell the rest of the f4 peter's identity as spider-man because they disapprove of him.

Johnny decides that peter has to win them all over before the big reveal, so he plays the perfect boyfriend - brings flowers the first time he meets them, compliments ben's cooking, talks to sue and reed about their research.

Peter has a lot of practice pretending to be a normal guy, but johnny isn't used to hiding anything so big from his family so he's really tense and awkward the whole time. He and peter also aren't doing their usual playful banter because they're worried it will give them away.

All this together gives off the impressiom that johnny is totally miserable in the relationship and that he's only dating peter because he thinks sue will approve of him.

Sue's feeling guilty because she realized that johnny hasn't really been hanging out with spider-man recently and she thinks it's her fault. So she sits johnny down one day when she thinks he's alone and tells him that he doesn't have to force himself to go out with peter just because he thinks that's what sue wants. She says that if he really likes spider-man, then he should just go for it.

Johnny is speechless at this misunderstanding.

Peter had been in the other room and had overheard the whole thing. So, being the little shit that he is, he comes storming into the room and points accusingly at johnny. "You're going to leave me for SPIDER-MAN!?" he wails dramatically, tears welling up in his eyes.

Sue's eyes go wide and she freezes up, feeling shitty because she had never meant for peter to overhear their conversation or to make him feel bad.

Johnny immediately cracks up, laughing so hard his stomach hurts, and peter keeps a straight face for only a few more seconds before he also starts laughing.

Sue is just sitting there, staring at them in confusion.

Then, Peter gets his laughter under control just long enough to wink mischievously at her and pull aside the neckline of his sweater to reveal the familiar red and blue costume underneath
