pin NEEDS to have more to herself in BFDIA other than just "fweesmawt no swing wif me!1!! waaahhh!!! i hate dem!!!11"
i just had to go back to watch her crashout(not as in "ooh she's unhappy. Ooh", she ACTUALLY crashes out) in BFDIA 14 for this.
There's more to it than "they wont swing with me 😭😭😭😭". To quote Pin:
"FreeSmart, you fools. You have crossed far too many lines. You ripped off my face, you crushed my body, you didn't let Ice Cube come swing with me, and now you have the gall to steal my song?!"
Tumblr media
They crossed her boundaries. They disrespected her. She refused to let it happen again. Pin got more competitive.
That will be the same case with Redux!Pin although I would leave the swing part out-- or swap it for another reason, we'll see how the rewritten BFDIA goes! She has more than enough motivation to be furious.
In TPOT, Pin expressed not being proud of who she was in BFDIA:
She's got a lot of willpower and determination. As we get further in BFDIA, she shows herself outspoken and vengeful. She's VERY competitive. Ultimately, she damages her relationships with the other contestants(save for Coiny, Coiny had fun!)
She hurts people because she's been hurt. She electrocuted FreeSmart. She brutally killed Book and dropped Coiny to win. I LOVE her story in BFDIA.
Pin is a lot friendlier in IDFB 1. I think she may have a moment of realization about how she's been acting in BFDIA but with the show not over, I can't be too sure.

Wouldn't be surprised if someone else said something along these lines before, but after ii s2 and bfdia, tpot (and probably idfb) are finished, I think there should be no more seasons of ii or bfdi made by AE/JnJ. No, I am not saying there should be no more official ii/bfdi content at all, I think shorts and stuff of that nature are a great idea! They would give a chance to explore characters that were under-utilized/eliminated early (ex: the tpot failed debuters) or just life in general after the competition (since many have been competing/involved in a competition for much of their known life). I just think that having no more official seasons of ii/bfdi would be best for the osc, mostly because it would give other shows a chance to shine (though ITFt, AB, and possibly BURNER and PPT2 would probably take the spotlight). Also, I think that fan-made seasons (ex: @tapwater118's bfdi redux) are okay, but I'm gonna end my rambling here because I'm tired and probably not getting my thoughts out properly in the first place.
P.S. This is not intended to be ii/bfdi neg

hello!!!
so im, like, a massive pinthusiast., over here.,. been studying her as a character for about three years.,..... wanted to come to you to see if you could do something for pin!!!
but FIRST. please. let me yap. about her storyline in canon. because i feel its very misunderstood (especially from oscyt babies pee-yew...,......) and i want you to see how she would work in your bfdi redux with the way i explain her character!! and how you want to add to it!!!
okay. are we ready. okay
pin beefydie-yay.,.,..,..,..
Tumblr media
pin's bfdia trauma begins from pre-revival bfdia. it can be analyzed in heavy reference to pin's tpot 2 rant, connecting her discomfort with the tpot 2 conundrum with her experience in (pre-revival) bfdia. from what we had back then, i found out that pin values what is right and clear, and what benefits her teammates as people rather than as contestants. this is still a crucial part of her not only as a leader, but a character herself.
as bfdia slowly progresses, there is an actively growing discomfort specific to pin that she goes through even before her trauma even grows physical. pin feels different and left out from the crowd. the sudden change in team formats, rules, and quite literally her entire world was not so easy for her to adapt to, showing why she was so different from the rest of the cast (as you can see when everyone corners and pressures her literally in the very first episode (this is not the first time everyone bullies her for no reason (autism allego-))). even, the like 2818372819272819 years she spent in the tlc box forcing her to realize that nobody liked her b/c she was a meanie and had zero friends made her deduce that she desperately needed to make some.,.., with zero guidance how if she wanted to fulfill her old dream of becoming a leader in the tlc (we dont talk about this fallen dream now 😿).
the realization that this new world punishes those who are different and benefits those who can fit in well kind of fills her with anxiety. she's just trying and hoping for the best...........
pin also seems to retain a "right-and-wrong" approach that she lives by in early bfdia in order to cope with the discomfort of the new, changed environment she couldnt adapt to so well that is bfdia season 👍 yeah!!! what happened to her in bfdia 5 kind of jumbles this up for her dumb little head which makes it worse
okay now for the horrifying!!! the facing faceless!!!
from a surface-level standpoint the concept of it is pretty scary, being paralyzed, blind, muted, can only (eerily) feel people and hear them call you horrible things without reprimand. but also from a psychological standpoint, and a pin-specific view, its much worserreerrmmmm........
the main way that pin was psychologically (interpret the use of the word "psychologically" as "non-physical" if you need more clarity) tortured so much was because everyone else hated how she expressed herself differently from everyone else. by removing her face (for speaking up in bfdia 10 on the fact that everyone who she thought was going to stay her friend in woah bunch left her for a reason that wouldnt benefit them as people,) they stitched her face in so she "smiles" the way everyone else smiles, doesnt speak up the way nobody else speaks up on issues because apparently nothing she has a problem with, or anything she says at all at this point of bfdia (key point because she gets worse so it changes in later episodes) matter.......... hashtag autism allegory in bfdi!1!1!1 oh my pin facto
its clear how small and insignificant (exact opposite of her dream of being a leader if you think about it woah) they turned her just because she was being herself, now she can do nothing but quote-unquote "conform." very very very scary 0/10 would not recommend to a girl :[
and then the coming back. but not quite as herself. obviously she is acting different when she returns in beefydie yay 14
her body, what she used to express herself, was practially completely gone, leaving essentially just a spirit to be trapped underground. (my basis for her being trapped underground was that coiny had to dig below the earth to find her. its like her mind was like a demon and she was in hell, or like she was buried alive in a coffin that wouldnt let her body move i dont know i like symbolism a lot can you tell) whats left of her now is like a lovesick monster creature made of pure rage and agony ye yeah woo
same mind/rage thats trapped underground through feceless-limbless-even-sizeless pin's "body." i like to think that pin having her meltdown snap in beefydie yay 14 adds up everything from all the previous stages of her bfdia trauma, all as mentioned before, the adherence to rules, the feeling isolated, all of the pain adds up to this moment which is why i see her crash out as like her rage/mind like. coming out of her. that mind demon is finally breaking out there and free (can you also tell that this episode did pretty wild things to my brain juices.)
and then. as we know pin getting her "revenge" wasnt enough. she wants something else, something that matters more. before you say she just wants to win bfdia now you have to consider that, once again, pin cares much more about the people and the environment and everything than the competition, what would benefit her friends as people rather than contestants. problem is. she believes she doesnt have any friends. everyone hates her and she knows it (as clearly admitted when she got shrunken into oblivion in bfdia 15). and i will mention coiny later erm. bear with me. anywho.
basically, after bfdia 14 (and reinforced in bfdia 18), pin is so emotionally fucked up that she now craves the feeling of being a nuisance who really deserves all the agony ‼️ its a way of looking at pin's horrific crashes. bfdia pin had been nullified and bullied so much that she doesnt care anymore for what they believe; they deserve to suffer regardless if theyre contestants or people because they hurt her badly.
whats more, isnt anxiety, like, the fear of expressing yourself? in bfdia 18, she's so fucked up and tired of the pain she's constantly in that it seemed that the only way to relieve herself of that secret burning anxiety inside of her that nobody wanted to acknowledge was.,.,. to make a huge show out of her anger and pain. thats pretty much why she did what she did in bfdia 18. she let coiny fall to show him that she was in pain, that she was angry about the fact that when she was faceless and the most weak and vulnerable she had ever been, and in the most dire need of help, he
instead called her useless. (word for word. bfdia 12 quoting.) she killed everyone because she was mad at well...., everyone for ostracizing and alienating her for being herself. (she's not only mad at freesmart. please get this. its not only freesmart's fault why would the entirety of woah bunch willingly leave her then. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa) the point (hehe) is that to her it seems that since she's apparently horrible and unlovable by default, the only way to relieve herself of the pain of those facts is by just to embrace it and to stop trying to escape these facts. (pin i love you i promise you aren't as disgusting and hideous as people say i promise you theyre all wrong.)
this is where bfdia 19-20 leads in. she isnt an asshole just to be an asshole, its very painfully obvious that this isnt like her, like, at all. she's making the active choice to act like an asshole, she isnt inherently an meanie. so why does she act mean, then? shes clearly pushing everyone away. and i really think that when coiny said to her, "would i ever lie to you?," and pin replied, "yes, but whatever," im sure she means that he lies to her about ever actually loving her, explaining why she pushes him away. explaining why she pushes everyone away, why she repels away book, coiny, everyone, she cant trust anyone anymore because she's sure theyre all out to get her, and she's not that naive, clueless little girl anymore to let them ever torture and betray her trust again. (can we talk about how ironic her ordeal with book is. she's the most terrified of book out of anyone, yet through dramatic irony we all know that book has canonically harmed her the least. pin. pinny pin pin. are you 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝓲𝓷𝓰 stupid)
its really tragic, the whole thing. and to rub salt in the wound, coiny, like, he never actually did anything wrong or evil, he hurt her unintentionally, by, get this.... being too fucking stupid. by being too dumb and party-rocker to fully grasp the horrific pain that pin was going through, he hurt her by not being properly there for her when she needed him. and sure, he did do his very best to help her in bfdia 13, but remember he called her useless and never understood her pain beyond the bare minimum physical stuff. (another instance of pin also being fucking stupid. he's not out to get you, pin girlie. he's just dumb. i love you pin. i get that you're going through it but forgive the man for being dumb HE DOESNT KNOW THAT YOURE NOT ACTING ASSHOL-ISH JUST TO BE AN ASSHOLE)
bleh. thank you for coming to my pin ted talk. ped talk. i need to spread propaganda (/nsrs) and i hope we all learned somethign today. and im sorry if it was too much.
but hi bfdiredux. what do you think of pin from this standpoint. can you make anything out of this. thank thank thank you and have a nice day
Tumblr media
HOLY MOTHER OF TEXT WALLS I DIDNT EXPEVT TO OPEN MY INBOX TO THIS BEAUTIFUL CHARACTER ANALYSIS. THANK YOU PINTHUSIAST!!
The current plans for Pin.
I don't have much I want to add on your interpretation of canon Pin!! It's perfect.
I can definitely snag a lot of inspiration from this analysis to fuel Redux!Pin.
CONFORMING!!! Other contestants want her to but part of Pin's story in the Redux is not conforming. She gets her pigment removed in IDFB to start fresh, gets her pigment red again for BFB, partly out of fear of BFDIA repeating itself, and then says fuck it in TPOT and lets herself BE herself. Enby transmasc icon right there.
Thinking everyone is out to get her matches what's been set up well! Woah Bunch dipping, FreeSmart hard targeting her, and unfortunate scene after unfortunate scene... Good fuel!! Getting bullied and pushed around just for being herself,,, yeAH that's going to accumulate.
Neurodivergent Pin... mmmmmmmmmmyES. I will make everyone in this rewrite neurodivergent just watch me /silly
The scene in TPOT where Pin gives Tree her gratitude token before she's eliminated. I know the two of them start to bond in TPOT 12 but I like the idea of them bonding earlier.
Like,,, Pin cares DEEPLY about her token collection. IT IS A HYPERFOCUS!!! You gotta be 🤏 this close with her to get her to give one to you. SO in BFDIA when she loses her autonamy? She sees Tree experiencing the same thing in early TPOT (getting revived in the lake) and spends a lot of her free time with him so he doesn't feel lonely.
FRIENDSHIP!!!
Alaso hello smal5504,, welcome to the redux!!! Enjoy your stay ≽^-⩊-^≼ (I am eating your art)

Character proposal: Pencil
CONTENT WARNING: This post includes depiction and discussion of abuse. It is from the perspective of an abuser. Please keep that in mind!!
IVE BEEN WANTING TO DO THOS ONE SINCE I STARTED THE BLOG !! Canon!Pencil has captured the hearts of many. Me included. Redux Pencil? We'll see!
I want to play so hard into Pencil just. Not being a good person. She can get better. Maybe. But not without ruining her relationships with everyone 😋
Loyal to her cause, a prideful leader, cliquey, assertive, and in desperate need to stay in control. You join a group with her, it will belong to her.
Professional bridge burner. She keeps finding ways to hurt the people around her.
Pencil joins BFDI with a plan-- having people on her side will further her standing in the game. If the voters see how loved she is, she'll get further too. It's flawless.
She and Match hit it off on the drive to BFDI's main playing field. Match seems to share a lot of her qualities and values, so it's worth pursuing.
Bubble is the one to suggest an alliance at the balance beam. Pencil takes charge immediately and Match full on supports her.
Ice Cube tries to join, pops Bubble on accident, and isn't let in until the middle of BFDI. Pencil finds her to be clever but a bit argumentative-- but Ice Cube wanting to not be excluded keeps her in check.
Pencil is right about her theory, too. She doesn't get out until episode 19 of BFDI.
Pencil is in support of chasing off Leafy when she buys Dream Island. Her alliance backs her up on this.
Pencil is SOOO down to join when she's invited back for BFDIA.
Here, Match and Ice Cube also rejoin and Bubble is a happy spectator.
Two new contestants join the alliance-- now called FreeSmart.
Book, a passive and loyal teammate. She does as she's told without a problem, Pencil makes sure of it. Sometimes she looks at Pencil with eyes Pencil cannot read, perhaps it has something to do with how close she is with Ice Cube.
Ruby is the second-- a high energy aspiring actress and endless optimist. Pencil appreciates her dedication but sometimes her energy is too much. She acts out of line and Pencil loses her cool.
But hey, she has to keep the team in check.
Even if it hurts their feelings, it's for their own good.
It's how she'll make sure FreeSmart wins BFDIA.
But Needle.
GOD, Needle.
Needle is a late addition to FreeSmart. Like the rest of the team, she craves validation. Validation that Pencil initially wants to offer-- but Needle ruins that.
She's independent. She argued more than even Ice Cube. She's between Pin and Coiny and working with FreeSmart. So, in order to deem her a true alliance member, Pencil demands Needle makes a sacrifice.
Needle says she did. Pencil never saw it, so... No. No, Needle didn't. Needle says Book saw her do it. Pencil glances at Book at Book clams up.
Pencil's been wanting a reason to drive Needle out. Now she has one.
Now, about others.
Pencil makes decisions for her teammates. They won a prize? Pencil puts it to good use. Remove Pin's limbs. Remove Pin's face. Pencil comes up with strategies. She's the leader. It's her job and she won't let anyone else take it.
Her alliance is useful. If they continue to be, she praises them. If they don't, she has to point out their errors.
IDFB.
The games are over, Pencil thinks she can relax. The cast is chilling in Yoyle City.
Match is back. She was eliminated pretty early in BFDIA.
Pencil finds Match clingy. She's closest to Match, yes. Match is the most devoted, yes. Match also acts similar to Pencil and Pencil is tired of it.
Ruby's been keeping a video journal-- or so Pencil thought. Ruby left the cap over the camera's lense. WOOOOW.
FreeSmart does. FreeSmart things. They're more of a REALLY UNHEALTHY friend group during IDFB.
One that's about to crumble. Sure, they have their good moments-- joking, exploring, hanging out.
Pencil's juuust a bit more irritable now.
When Pencil's control slips, so does her mask.
Ice Cube's been braver.
On a particularly bad day, Pencil scolds Ice Cube. Ice Cube SNAPS. [Near the end of IDFB!]
Book inches after Ice Cube, trying not to draw Pencil's attention--
"Where do you think you're going?"
"Uh.. with Ice Cube..?"
"You can't be serious."
Book stammers something and starts walking again. Pencil goes up to her and gives her a light shove. "No."
"Whuh, bh-"
Pointing an accusatory finger and blocking Book's view of Ice Cube, Pencil interrupts with a bite to her words, "Would you rather go with the one who just abandoned us or stay with a team that values you?"
"I-"
"Don't. You're just like Needle. After everything I've done for you-- I introduced you to your friends and got you to the final four of BFDIA-- you're making the choice to hurt us. FreeSmart wouldn't be the same without you and you know it."
Book doesn't answer.
It's not like Pencil would give her the chance to anyways. "How could you? I care about you, we care about you. How do you think, I don't know, Bubble would feel? Ruby? You know Ruby is sensitive."
"I'm sorry." Book's response is so quiet that Pencil needs a second to process it.
"I bet you are. Go join her, see how well we'll do without you, abandoning us like this..." Pencil gives a shooing gesture with her hands.
Book trudges away looking guilt-ridden.
Pencil takes the opportunity to rub it in Book's face for the rest of IDFB.
Pencil makes sure what's left of FreeSmart gets their shit together for BFB.
Iance is formed by what's left of FreeSmart, Snowball, Fanny, Flower, and Lightning.
Snowball butts heads for the fun of it but he's strong. That's useful.
Lightning electrocutes anyone Pencil asks to be. Like the OGs, he wants approval. Good.
Fanny...? All Pencil gets to see of Fanny is her contradictory behavior. "I hate (this)! I hate (that)!" SHUT. UP.
Flower-- Pencil's not the biggest fan. In BFDI, Flower was a jerk to everyone but her bullying is demotivating and she's strong. Except when Pencil gets to interact with Flower she realizes Flower has mellowed out some. Still spicy but not a total ass.
They didn't.. really interact in IDFB. She must've gone through something then or during BFDIA.
Pencil gets out like. INSTANTLY.
Four traps her in his dimension. She's alone for about a week with nothing but algebra. The doors are locked, there's nothing to do, and she's ALONE. ALONE.
ALL ALONE.
For a WEEK.
She's ecstatic to see another person.
This goes on for a while. The same cycle-- until the EXITors try escaping Four. Spongy and Loser make it, everyone else is stuck.
Nobody does ever come back for them.
For years, they're trapped in eternal algebra. For over half a decade.
Liy figured out how to escape the room. They get to explore some but have to be careful. Four checks on them every once and a while and if he knew they weren't working, he'd chase them down.
It's TORTURE.
Match is there but... Yeah, Pencil still finds her kind of clingy. After coming to the EXIT, Pencil noticed Match has been acting less like a clone and more like her own person.
Pencil can't bring herself to ask about FreeSmart. Not at all.
We get TPOT 11. The EXITors escape. Pencil's leadership skills really shine through here.
They escape. Two takes them and locks them in a dining space where they can serve contestants and debuers.
Pencil won't be trapped again. Fuck no. No, never again. She can't.
Dora breaks the window and the EXITors all make a break for it. They then DEMAND to be able to join TPOT. For many, getting back in the spotlight is great!
For Pencil? She loves the game and winning limitless power is so tempting.
She just doesn't want to go back.
i want some sort of breakup between Pencil and Match here. Not super dramatic,, just something like--
Match asks Pencil why she's been avoiding her because it feels that way. Pencil dismisses her. Match starts to realize maybe Pencil never felt the same way-- but before she can say anything Four zops her across the sky during the storm.
Liy and Pencil both get in.
This is Pencil's first time without her alliance, or so she thinks. Book and Ice Cube are here.
She pulls them aside and gushes. Price Tag intervenes, calls her a newbie, and Pencil just stares. WOOOOW.
Post-EXIT Pencil changes a lot. Six years of being trapped did this to her. She's quick to irritate and aggressive. She doesn't care for her new team, using the same logic as always-- Donut and Golf Ball? So useful, even if she doesn't like them. Winner, Yellowface, and Pillow? No. Just. No.
She tries to brush things off. She tries and kinda fails to be uncaring but she's LONELY. She's ontrying to get control over her life again. She's scared to be left behind. She's unstable emotionally. She's a disaster!! Nobody needs to see her like this. (Blind to your own actions. Go girl!!)
This back and forth goes on until TPOT 15. Pencil's been doing worse mentally and it's showing.
She has her infamous scene in TPOT 15 where she goes back in time and tries to change everything. It doesn't go as planned, they're brought back by something.
Fuckkkkk.
Pen gets Pencil's new team to lose TPOT 16.
Pencil tries again with Book after Ice Cube is eliminated.
The Book she knew? Gone.
This Book ain't afraid to stand her ground. She's a bit nervous, sure, but confident.
Pencil gets the most votes in TPOT 17. She has a panic attack and Donut is there to comfort her despite everything.
Book and Pencil have a confrontation on the Fourse in TPOT 17. It goes about the same!! Book tears Pencil a new one, Pencil is shell shocked but hides it, taking the victory for her team.
Pencil hops off the fourse. She seems like she's about to berate Book but, tired and out of energy...
Fine.
FINE.
She doesn't need FreeSmart. It means nothing to her. All of it-- it means nothing to her. She tries to convince herself of it. It's for the better.
She retreats to her Clubhouse of Awesomeness. In TPOT it is VERY MAKESHIFT instead of what they did in canon. Sorry not sorry, I want to to reflect her mental state :D
Pen follows her in there and gives her the same/a similar talk as he does in TPOT 17. Note that while he could express his anger about Pencil getting Eraser eliminated, he doesn't.
She doesn't answer him but... Hm.
She has tje option to get better or worse from here. We'll see what they do in canon!
I HAD SO MUCH FUN WRITING REDUX PENCIL AUADUUFHDHSISIDUFUUDHSU she sucks so much. Love redux Pencil

ur cool so i choose you to share my random Nonexisty + Black Hole headcanons with (because i have no one else to infodump to rn cuz they're all ASLEEP >:c) Nonexisty is the one that films BFDI. They're the one with the camera. There's only one person in the show they've actually talked to, and that's Black Hole. Black Hole used to be a star. His name was Starran. He went around doing object shows for fun. But, one time something went horribly wrong. The other contestants messed with the space-time continuum a little too much, and a crack formed (Like seen in TPOT). Black Hole, despite his (at the time) usually mischievous ways, immediately ran to try stop it, stop people from getting too close, get them out the way. It worked, but he fell through. He found himself in a place between universes. Nonexisty's place. The rift is what caused him to turn to a Black Hole. It changed him. But Nonexisty saw what happened, and was there to comfort him in probably the darkest moment of his life. He got him back home, and they stayed in contact. Black Hole saw that rift. And was immediately taken back. Back to when he lost it all. But Nonexisty managed to ground him, and they helped him calm down. They've been keeping Black Hole company since, talking to him between episodes (since his team haven't spoken to him much, given they've already got their own issues, and see Black Hole as 'the calm guy who never needs help') So yeah Black Hole and Nonexisty as friends, with Nonexisty helping Black Hole when he needs it most god i love these two sm - Jadie
Tumblr media
Hey Jadie and anonymous!! I agree that something more could/should be done with Nonexisty. A character proposal will be in store for Black Hole soon, I promise!
Your backstory is very fun to read!! I can see this happening,, it seems like a fun idea to run with!! However, it's not what I'm looking to pursue with Nonexisty.
Allow me to go over a concept I've sat on for a few weeks now: Forces of Nature.
Unexplained phenomena across Earth. Things that you wouldn't believe to be possible but are. Think Evil Leafy-- the soon to be sentient manifestation of Leafy's trauma and anger. Think Yellow Face's ad dimension--the fact that he is a portal to an alternate universe. Yoylelite-- a mineral with a power so potent, so specific, it makes time travel POSSIBLE!
For Nonexisty, I want to make them one!
Not a person, not a contestant. Not anything and also all things.
If you would, nothing and everything. A neverending empty presence. A force so powerful it changes the very fabric of the space around you. And if that power goes awry, the emptiness will leak. It will consume and destroy and shred the universe to nothing.
It is all around you, the very air you breathe. The very fabric of reality, easily torn and difficult to stitch back up. Tennis Ball and Nickel tugged at the seams in BFDIA and the failed debeuters in TPOT 15 tore that hole open. It takes a deal with One and Black Hole's minor reality warping powers to delay the damage.
Delay.
This is pretty much what's happening!
Tumblr media
If they don't get Two back up and active, their reality may be in SERIOUS trouble-- no matter how hard Black Hole tries.
Those who know of it call it by many names. Nothing, Nonexistence, Emptiness. If there is a livinf thing in there, it can't communicate with us. It doesn't even know about us. It isn't malevolent or benevolent, it just is.
As for reality warpers-- remember that they aren't tearing it. They're bending and shaping it to their will.

I feel like Leafy should have been more affected by her time in exile. Idk she comes back to bfb almost the same but a biiit more aggressive but like, if I spent YEARS of my life in exile, I’d definitely change.
Impulsive choices in response to extreme emotions.
I don't want her to go from cool nice gal to isolated and thus kill. Kill eveything. Y'know?
I want to foreshadow Leafy buying Dream Island off of Announcer. Let her be good-natured and impulsive. I also want a different reason for Firey to deny her a place in Dream Island-- I mean,, he lets his #1 enemy in the show in, Flower too. But NOT Leafy.????
The two of them will have a strong bond going into BFDI. Leafy will do something that hurts Firey and because it's coming from his best friend and nobody else, he denies her.
So, Leafy purchases Dream Island. Announcer, rather than taking a lick of accountability for accepting the offer, redirects everyone anger to Leafy.
The confrontation is heated. There's yelling all around her and very few people defend. The ones who seem like they want to (Bubble. It's just kind ol' Bubble) get shut down. It even (nearly?) gets physical. Leafy runs.
She takes the Convenient Goiky Map That Teleports You and ends up in Yoyleland. I'm thinking maybe Book ends up with it and keeps it stored away after it's torn in half by Pin. Good way to get Leafy to realize Book had it and to tell her how to use it in BFDIA 19!
Leafy spends most of the season isolated, feeling remorseful. Because of the way she left, she feels like she has to punish herself. She did this to herself, didn't she? She ran away from her actions and now she's stuck in a country she doesn't know.
She's got good survival skills but... She's lonely. She develops anxiety. She gets aggressive with people because she's slipping mentally. Days become blurred together, she rarely gets to see others, and her own self-destructive thoughts DON'T help.
Somewhere in her isolation, her feelings are warped. She has to do nice things to redeem herself, right? Being nice will get her friends again.
AND IT WORKS! She gets rewarded. She'll hold onto that thought process into BFB.
At the end of BFDIA, Leafy starts interacting with everyone again. The veterans are still hesitant, and some will continue to hold that grudge, but the newbies are nicer to her.
I plan on having Redux!IDFB be pretty long!! I want to follow what they do in canon IDFB but it's untouched, so free reign!! It'll give a chance to have Leafy transition into her BFB self. IDFB will also be used to take a break from the gameshow format, be slice-of-life, and set up season 4.
I have IDFB 1's rewrite planned and a concept for Cake getting an episode that introduces him and Loser!!

Totally
Keeping consistency and (loosely) canon is pretty important to me for the rework. It includes filling plot holes, tying up loose ends, and keeping a fulfilling story!!
It's the same case for IDFB. The absolute bANE of my existence due to how open it is:
I'm... Not sure how to handle it right now-- I don't know it JnJ are going to pick it up after BFDIA or TPOT. If they don't, that's plenty of free space to do with characters as needed. If they do? I don't know.
No matter what happens, BFDIA and IDFB will be getting the relevance they deserve.
Looking for input!
With this project just getting started, I want to hear what the BFDI community thinks! Any changes you'd make from canon? Anything you'd like to see added or removed? Characters explored or fleshed out? Send in an ask!

hello. agender leafy (she/he/any)? I'm really interested in how objects represent their gender since they arent that humanoid. and a huge headcanon of mine is genderless leafy
for a while (probably most of season 1) she thought she was a trans boy (she didn't tell anyone) but realized she didn't really want to be or look like a boy, she just wanted to be seen as a person before her gender, girl or boy didn't completely seem to describe her. she was just. someone. a person. a guy
"maybe I'm gender neutral?" but that didn't seem to be it either
she never understood gender. maybe because she never experienced it.
i don't think she spent too much time questioning though. she has better stuff to do
probably has been made fun of or scolded for not looking or acting like a girl before. but she never cared about what gender people would perceive her as, she just did whatever made her happy at th moment. never trying too hard to look like anything. also i think she'd represent more masculine if she wore clothes, just because they're more comfortable
pronouns don't mean much to her. she never felt uncomfortable with any
she's baffled by how much people care about gender.. it shouldn't matter.
I'm not sure when she'd realize she's agender (perhaps bfb), but she probably told firey in late bfb and he was cool with it. good for them
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'd be so happy if redux leafy was agender just look at her. not a speck of gender behind those eyes.thanks for coming to my agender leafy ted talk. ps I'm definitely not projecting
I love exploring gender. Or no gender. Hell yea agender Leafy time!! She has problems but she doesn't have gender. No leaning towards masculinity or femininity or neitrality, minimal care for pronouns(she/her preference but go ham!- you'll rarely get corrected by Leafy)
I like that. I like agender Leafy. This is a solid take. I am going to run with it!
IT IS HIGH TIME FOR HER CHARACTER PROPOSAL!! Long post incoming 😋
Kind, impulsive, and friendly with an ego. She craves good relationships.
Leafy has great survival skills for any given situation, nature OR social(this is going to come in handy!) She attended a scout group when she was little. Nature walks were her favorite. Her scout group had summer camps that taught survival and her guardians were big on teaching her too!!
LOVES learning about relics and artifacts.
She applies for BFDI with the goal of using Dream Island for a nature reserve or her own little home with a garden. I don't know which.
She and Pin form a temporary alliance to survive the balance beam challenge. It works and they both make their own teams.
that Goiky Map she used to teleport.. It's gotta be some sort of mythical object-- something unexplained in this world like Evil Leafy, perhaps an artifact of ole.
Ice Cube's complex ideals of revenge intrigue Leafy. When she's wronged, Ice Cube gets people back. Maybe Leafy can learn a thing or two from her.
She befriends Firey early in season 1 and the two stay close until the last few episodes... Where Leafy does SOMETHING that turns Firey on her. I don't want it to be the ferris wheel sorry chat.
Perhaps an argument a couple of episodes before the finale. I do want Firey to come across as petty. Maybe Leafy says something that hurts his feelings during that argument and, instead of talking to her about it, he denies her a spot on Dream Island.
At the bridge, he calls HER a mean person. He tells her she doesn't deserve to be on Dream Island moments after letting Coiny and Flower in. Where's the logic!?
Well, if he's going to be this way, so is she.
Leafy calls Announcer and purchases Dream Island. That'll show him!!
She hides out on the boat, fingers crossed that everything'll turn up fine -- she spots Announcer. He has his front faced to her... He's saying something she can't hear.
A SWARM OF PEOPLE APPROACH. DEAR GOD.
Leafy gets confronted for stealing. A lot of the same thing gets repeated-- insults, shame, calling her a thief and a horrible person. She can't even defend or explain herself. It is THAT bad.
Snowball gets physical and shoves her against the boat's railing so Leafy fights back, hitting him and thrusting him aside. This gets the crowd riled up more-- they're now going at her for assaulting Snowball. HELLO???
She uses a map of Goiky to teleport away. It's ripped up as she escapes, now miles away from civilization and alone in the Yoyleland wilderness.
She takes a moment to breathe.
And think.
What has she done!?
Maybe they were right-- maybe they were all right. Leafy is a mean person. She hurt everyone. Maybe it's better that she's on her own. She doesn't want to hurt people. She thinks back to Ice Cube again, then Firey.
She's a horrible person. She should stay out here. It'd be better for everyone if she was gone for good. Like she never existed. She lost everything and it's her own fault.
And the longer she's alone, the deeper she falls into that mindset.
There's a break between seasons 1 and 2. Long enough for being alone to have effects-- she develops anxiety and depression that strengthens in early season 2.
One day, some people fly in near her little setup and come in search of Yoyleberries. Leafy has been using Yoyleberries as a food source and knows exactly where to find some. It's Gelatin, Puffball, and Needle.
Leafy doesn't attack them. She tries to hide and observe them at the same time and does a bad job at it. Metal is easy to see against purple and green!!
it's either Needle or Gelatin who spot her. Either way, she's pointed out and Needle's the one to approach her. Needle asks Leafy if this is where she's been the whole time and Leafy stammers, failing to find words.
Needle says she's worried. Leafy tells her to go away. Gelatin interrupts, asking Leafy if she's seen any big yoylebush patches. Leafy asks if they'll leave her alone if she helps. Gelatin promises!
After leading them to a patch of bushes, she walks off. Gelatin follows, telling her that they've collected all the berries they need and offering her a ride on Puffball back to the BFDIA playing field.
Leafy says no. Gelatin insists as Puffball floats right next to him, looking curious. Leafy keeps turning Gelatin down as Needle comes back to fetch her teammates... Just in time to see Leafy pushing Gelatin.
Needle intervenes, standing between Leafy and Gelatin. "What has gotten into you!?"
"Nothing," Leafy urges. "I just- I want to be alone, why can't you get that?"
"I was just.." Gelatin frowns, voice trailing off.
"Did you have to hurt him to prove your point?" Needle questions.
A scoff and chime from Puffball, "Yeah, we were trying to help you."
"Like you helped us," Gelatin adds.
"If you-" Leafy takes a deep breath. "If you wanted to help me, you'd go away! Leave me alone! Why can't you get that!?"
"Fine, decline our help." Needle then turns away, helping Gelatin onto Puffball before climbing on herself. "Let's go, guys."
Leafy notices the look of pity and distrust on Needle's face as Puffball flies away. She moves locations after that, deeper into Yoyleland.
The days are blurred. Leafy is falling down a hole and she may not be able to climb back out. Her mental health is steaming shit. She has conflicted feelings. She's self-destructive and full of so much anger with herself that it MANIFESTS.
Say hi to Evil Leafy. Leafy's negative thoughts wielded by a strange force that takes on a physical form and its own life. She sees Evil Leafy out of the corner of her eye one day and before she can react, Evil Leafy disappears. What was that!?
Honestly she may be convinced she's hallucinating. She doesn't see EL again for a long time! So! Yah!!
Leafy has been regretting chasing the BFDIA 1 party away. She's so lonely. She has to keep being alone, she's still punishing herself and it's only fair.
Desperation is strong.
When BFDIA moves to Yoyleland, Leafy is compelled to watch from a distance. This is what gets her in the throes of a serious competition that kills her.
She wouldn't expect to be recovered but...
She is.
As she slips out of the HPRC, Leafy sees a fading light. She hesitates and follows but as she turns the corner of the HPRC, nobody is there.
But somebody remembered her. Somebody cared to bring her back. Somebody cares about her.
Really, it could be anything-- pity, a genuine friend looking out for her, someone doing something nice Just Because--- but Leafy doesn't care.
This gives her HOPE.
The flashback of the talk with Ice Cube we saw in BFDIA 20? Let's visit it. Leafy somehow finds Ice Cube(or the other way around) and is ecstatic to see someone again. By now, it's been a hot minute since the BFDIA 1 party dropped by and a bit since she's been recovered.
Talking to someone is nice but.. Ice Cube is quiet(no shock there) and only talks when Leafy pesters her enough to. Leafy wants to hang out with Icy. She has so much energy that she just. HAS to talk and talk and talk-- because Ice Cube is her friend !
"We are not friends."
Leafy stops in her steps. Icy talks about the way Leafy went about handling Firey's rejection of her. Leafy is quick to defend herself, saying she thought Icy would be proud. Icy says NO. There is a FRAGILE LINE on the RIGHT THING and Leafy just. Shattered that line.
Leafy shuffles in place. Icy continues, telling Leafy that she doesn't just blame her-- some of the responsibility goes onto Announcer for letting Leafy purchase Dream Island.
But it doesn't erase what Leafy did. It doesn't erase what Firey did. Leafy handled things poorly and Icy does not want to be friends. Hell, with the way Leafy's behaving, she may not have any at all.
Leafy argues that SHE DOES! And she'll prove it! Ice Cube rolls her eyes and walks off, leaving Leafy in her dust.
Her involvement in BFDIA becomes more. She first tries talking to Gelatin. Gelatin is chill, much to Leafy's surprise. He's still grateful for her help in BFDIA 1, despite the outcome. Leafy asks if they're friends because of that and Gelatin says sure. I plan on letting them have that small friendship into IDFB. This will be important.
CODE CRACKED.
She tried Firey once or twice. He asked her who she was. Okay. Wow.
The more involvement? It takes Leafy a while to find the competition since they moved out of Yoyleland.
Leafy tries Tennis Ball. Tennis Ball thanks her for trying to help but isn't interested.
Leafy tries with Coiny. Coiny is DOWN for her help and Leafy asks if they're friends now. Coiny agrees. Sure.
Pin. She approaches Pin for that alliance, finding Pin alone and angry. She'd be down to help Pin with. Whatever. And they'd be friends!!
Pin's probably going to do one last big thing in BFDIA that does more harm than good. Leafy will be involved, feel horrible, and watch as Pin starts her redemption.
As discouraged as Leafy feels, this friendship thing works 9 times out of 10!!
IDFB
The focus for IDFB Leafy will be showing her integrating back into the community, as well as delving into her "do things for people = I will get what I want from them" mindset that stems from wanting friends.
She will be mending a lot of relationships and clearing up misunderstandings. All friendships have their ups and downs-- that's also something to keep in mind.
Her friendships with Gelatin?? She sees Firey a little more because those two are decent friends. Firey still acts like he doesn't know her. (I can't wait to get into Redux!Firey. I can't wait)
A lot of characters with issues as improving this season!! Snowball, Blocky, Flower, and Pin. Seeing them all improve keeps pushing Leafy to do the same.
She also befriends Flower during IDFB!! Expand that friend group gal. Do it!!
She does drift away from Gelatin. No big fight or anything, they just naturally grow apart! Leafy has her friends she's with and Gelatin the same.
BFB.
WHOOOOOO BFB!! I GO RABID.
Leafy pushes her team too hard and gets out early in BFB. YIKES BAD MISTAKE, Beep isn't a fan of her after.
...she gets back in shortly after, joining The Losers!.
They're an interesting bunch. Dysfunctional guys.
Clock is dead for a LONG TIME. His teammates forget about him and it hurts him. Sorry dude. This is for your future arc ^w^ Leafy doesn't get to meet him proper until episode 15.
Cake is a shy kid. He spends most of his time sitting in the background doing as told.
Firey is STILL pretending like he doesn't know Leafy. He's also short with everyone.
Eggy and Needle are desperately trying to keep the team from falling apart.
Coiny is acting as moral support to Pin, who's become red again. For them, old drama has risen. Everyone's on edge.
Leafy's awkward. She doesn't want to push anyone but she is being overly nice.
Late BFB pre-split,, when the ground turns to lava. Leafy is stuck on the bathroom roof. Needle is with Ice Cube and Taco on the other side. Curious, Leafy approaches, and gets blocked by Needle, who tells her to mind her own business.
A convenient guest of wind drags Leafy off the roof(that or she slips) and Needle fails to catch her-- but Firey does.
Leafy tells Firey that he can't ignore her now. Firey STILL acts like he doesn't know her and pulls her aside. Once they're alone(behind the bathrooms) where they have a talk. Firey tells Leafy to shut up about him knowing her. Leafy points out his lying. Firey tells Leafy that it's because nobody likes her anymore. Leafy is hurt and confused by this statement.
Maybe it's because Firey used to be her best friend.
But fine-- if he wants to be that way, they'll never talk again. Leafy clambers back onto the roof and crosses her arms. Firey drifts off.
Four announces the challenge!! It's to get back to him.
...Firey comes back for Leafy. Leafy doesn't want to comply with him because they agreed to stop interacting. The two of them start arguing and Needle pushes Leafy into Firey's hands. She could hear them the whole time!
They bicker off and on while they travel to Four. The lava drains and Leafy gets Four to recover Eggy-- just to confirm that they're friends. See, Firey!? Not EVERYONE hates her smh.
Firey tells Eggy that Leafy stole Dream Island. Eggy looks mildly uncomfortable and Firey seems to take this as a victory.
Coiny takes Leafy aside, offering a listening ear. He later invites Leafy to go get their dead teammates revived post-challenge.
When Two comes down, Leafy isn't interested. She doesn't want to quit the game she's dedicated herself to.
Post-split BFB is an area of I want to do a lot of changing in. I don't HATE it-- I find it quite enjoyable-- but I want to do a lot of reworks.
I want to focus on BFB 22 for a second here. For context: Donut's diary has been stolen and the contest is to find out who stole it or
When Leafy takes over for questioning, she calls Firey to the stand. Firey doesn't give Leafy a chance to talk, accusing her of stealing the diary and crafting an elaborate lie to go with it.
Leafy convinces Four to let her and Firey talk outside the courthouse. This has been stewing in the back of my mind for weeks, HERE WE GO!!!
"What was that about?" Leafy taps a foot.
"What?"
"Your story! You lied! I came to the Have Nots to check on what you guys were up to. You never got between the argument of Flower and Taco. I didn't say any of that. You- you lied!"
Firey hums and looks away.
"Why? D'oh, don't tell me you stole the diary." Leafy shuffles in place.
Firey grunts.
"Firey? Why would you do that?"
"Because YOU stole Dream Island from me!" Firey points at Leafy, tone harsh.
"...what?" Leafy deadpans. "You... Stole Donut's diary because I stole Dream Island?"
"I battled for two years* to win Dream Island and- and you just took it away from me!" Firey rubs his temple.
"Because you didn't let me in!"
"You- you still stole it! You went to the Announcer and now I lost my chance with you- with winning! And then we competed again and I didn't win a prize and now we're competing for?? What? A BFB that I might not even win based on votes? Woody and Blocky got more than me!
"I have no chance! I'm never going to win anything because of you! So I took it, so what? I- I deserve to have something valuable-- everyone said they wanted that diary. I wanted it! It's only fair I have something everyone wants--"
"You're still mad about that?"
Firey stops. "What?"
"It's been years, Firey." Leafy pauses. She should bring this up while the time is right. "Why are you still distancing yourself from me? What's the point?"
"...I- we were arguing... I don't remember why but something you said hurt me, Leafy. My best friend. Not my rival or enemy. So I didn't let you onto Dream Island and you stole it. You stole it and you never apologized. You never faced consequences-"
"I did."
"You didn't." Firey stares at her.
"I did," Leafy repeats herself firmly. "When I went through that map, I ended up in Yoyleland and forced myself to live in solitaire for over a year. Every day, I blamed and ridiculed myself for buying Dream Island-- because I thought I was irredeemable and hurt everyone. I blamed myself and I punished myself and lived with that guilt eating me alive every day."
Leafy takes a deep, controlled breath. "So yes, I didn't apologize to you and it's because I thought by now you'd have realized how horrible I felt. You've held on to a grudge because of a stupid choice I made when I was younger and I'm sorry for buying Dream Island."
"B-"
"But you've hurt me too, Firey."
"I know."
"To get back at me," Leafy grunts.
"No. I still care about you, Leafy," Firey argues and Leafy raises a brow. "On that boat, I saw them chasing you. I felt bad and I knew I could've intervened and it was easier not to."
"Then why- why didn't you try reaching out? Firey, you lied about knowing me for- goodness, years. You ignored and excluded me and were so guarded and angry and rude to me."
Firey swallows. "I... when I saw how much they hated you, I decided it would be easier to ignore your existence. I felt bad but it became number overtime. I did what I could to avoid the topic of you-- and then avoid you-- because I thought they would hate me too. And- and when you became friends with Gelatin I had to avoid you even more--"
A deep breath. "But I couldn't when you joined The Losers! and talked to Pin, Coiny, and Needle. They knew about you. They knew I knew but I was still convinced everyone hated you and Beep proved my point. Through it all, I- I never stopped caring, I swear."
"You have a funny way of showing it. I want to be your friend and get along, Firey." Leafy lowers her gaze. "I do, but you make it so hard... Don't.. don't make the same mistake I did and steal things for petty reasons."
"I'm sorry."
Leafy blinks rapidly. "You..."
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't've done that. I shouldn't've stolen the diary. And I'm sorry for denying you entry to Dream Island, ignoring you, and not helping you. I was ignorant to how badly it was hurting you. I want to be friends again too, Leafy."
Leafy sighs. "It's going to take time."
"Let it. We can start fresh."
A warm smile crosses Leafy's face. "Yeah."
I PUT MY HEART AND SOUL INTO THAT SNIPPET!! BFB 22 aka Firey learns accountability 🥰
After this, X finds out Firey stole the diary and his team is up for elimination.
Leafy takes the time to visit Firey after he's eliminated. Trust is slow to build back up but they're working on it.
It becomes easier to visit Firey after Leafy herself is eliminated!!
Once BFB ends, they're in a close enough relationship to try finding their own island to prosper on together.
With Firey's handyman capabilities and Leafy's survival skills, they make one fine team! There's kinks to solve but together they manage to talk their feelings out and find a compromise.
TPOT!!
One day, on their little island, a storm starts. Leafy helps Firey get to shelter and then she's gone. Perhaps One got to her or she died. We'll see what they are doing with her in canon!!
*This may change to be shorter timespan.
I AM SO PROUD OF THIS GAHHHDBDBEUEUDHSJAJAAHHH IT WAS WORTH HALF A WEEK OF BRAINSTORMING!!

i'd love to see your take on ruby! especially the entire situation with her sisters and so on
RUBY!! RUBY RUBY (I RUN AROUND IN CIRCLES) She's another BFDI character I associate heavily with ADHD. She's got so much spark to her I love her!
Redux!Ruby's Character Proposal:
Ruby is the youngest in a HUGE group of sisters. She's got so many. They're all greatly successful in their lines of work. Writers, doctors, inventors, scientists... The list could go on.
They don't all hate her for betraying and getting into BFDIA!! Her sisters are actually very supportive but because she has so many, Ruby isn't close to a lot of them.
Bubbly, curious, brilliant, and sensitive. She loves fun, harmless pranks, and making new friends. Not afraid to convey her emotions.
An aspiring actress. It came to me at 3 in the morning. She applied to BFDIA was to get her name out there.
ADHD friend!!
#2 Pencil apologist until BFB.
She meets Pencil and Match during BFDIA 1, where she goes right up to them and asks about an alliance. Pencil seems down to strengthen her team.
Match feels like an echo of Pencil. The two act so similar and so close it's no wonder that Match is Pencil's right hand.
Authority is authority. Ruby is LOYAL.
Bubble is a common spectator and eventually a temporary host for BFDIA. She seems hesitant about Ruby and that kinda hurts! Hopefully she'll come around.
Book!! She's agreeable and friendly-- a good team worker.
Ice Cube. Hmm. Pencil says she can be as stubborn as a bag of rocks. Honestly, though, Ruby doesn't mind.
There's times where Pencil snaps at Ruby for being "too much of x."(Her words!) Sometimes she says hurtful things and Ruby can't stop herself from crying.
Apparently that's the WRONG course of action because Pencil doesn't like that either. She'll berate Ruby for that too, call her a baby-- maybe it's better to walk on eggshells and watch Pencil's face.
Sometimes she's too distracted or too excited or too intense or too sensitive. Ruby sucks up and apologizes-- now she's being cringe. What???
Ruby is sure Pencil has a good reason to be that way. Surely. Don't ask her why, though. Ruby doesn't know.
Match is often the same but toned down, she doesn't scoff when Ruby apologizes and checks on Ruby after Pencil lights a fuse. That's nice.
IDFB... my favorite untouched territory
And where FreeSmart begins to fall apart.
Ruby and Bubble start to establish a stronger friendship.
Mid-late IDFB, Ice Cube leaves and Book follows. Ruby is out doing something during that time and comes back right as Pencil is telling Book to go.
Book looked so fucking hurt and Pencil looked pissed.
Ruby is sad to see Book go. Pencil is all "good riddance" about it and when Ruby asks, Pencil explains. Ruby now has Pencil's perspective.
Pencil also asks her to promise she won't be like Book. Ruby agrees.
Ruby does eventually come into contact with Book again. She hears Book's perspective and is quick to defend Pencil and after some back and forth Book tells her to just stop.
Ruby stammers and Book tells her to go. Ruby complies, feeling herself start to cry.
Push it down, don't make things worse. Ruby dries her tears before she returns to what's left of the alliance.
Ruby does get to see more of Pencil's meaner side throughout the end of IDFB-- the way she is with Book, the way she clings to control.
ALSO WITH FLOWER!! I want part of her character arc of being a better person to involve Ruby. Ruby is still nice to Flower even when Flower is being a jerk. Really, Ruby is still nice to everyone even when they're being a jerk.
BFB.
Getting invited to a new season of BFDI was not on Ruby's bingo.
She invites Flower to Iance by calling her pretty. Awh.
So, new teammates.
Fanny is negative about a lot of stuff. Ruby wonders why she hates and hates. Fanny is also mature-- she's able to recognize her own faults and for that, she has Ruby's respect.
Lightning has some problems to work out and Pencil treats him like a weapon. He also electrocutes anyone Pencil and Match asks him to soooo it's better to stay on it's good side!!
Snowball is an actual jerk. He's got this weird mindset about strength and it's going to take him a good minute to get out of it.
FLOWER!!! Pencil doesn't like her but Ruby does. She's learning to be better.
Pencil is the first BFB elimination. This leaves Match in charge.
To compensate, Match gets worse. She pushes the team to their limits and demotes Bubble twice. Is?? That even possible??
She insults Bubble too.
It gets to the point where Bubble snaps and calls her out. A small but loud argument starts-- in which Ruby tries to break it up and gets gently pulled aside by Fanny, who tells her to let it happen.
The results?
Bubble refuses to talk to Match. Ruby tries to comfort both of them.
Match eventually breaks down and apologized both to Bubble and Ruby. Bubble says she appreciates it and needs time.
Ruby tries to tell Match it's okay-- Bubble says it's not.
Match is eliminated.
Bubble and Ruby have a talk once the shock is over. Something about Bubble asking Ruby if she really thinks what Match and Pencil have done is okay. Like, she's never questioned them? Ever???
Ruby admits that she has but pushed it aside.
She was in denial. A part of her still doesn't want to believe it but...
The rest of BFB pre-split, Ruby is coming to her own conclusions and accepting that the way Pencil and Match behaved weren't okay.
Ruby could've gone to TPOT-- I think she and Two would've gotten a long real well!! But she stuck with Bubble and Flower.
My main goal with post-split Ruby is letting her be herself!! Nobody's scolding her for how she acts anymore, she can breathe.
Ruby is eliminated in BFB 20! She will cheer Flower and Bubble on.
Following the finale, I'll probably have Ruby take her leave for a bit-- she's still in contact with Flower and Bubble but now she's taking small acting jobs and visiting between them to experience joy and whimsy. #happy ending

you should do a proper character proposal for book!! she's my favorite character <3
hi, same anon as the one who requested book!!! i was thinking about a way to do a little rewrite of the team bleh arc in bfb:
-book's the first one to spot taco being out of the jawbreaker. the other members of team bleh don't notice at all at first. -her face sours. she doesn't accept taco trying to explain her absence after she herself has been abandoned for no good reason. -afterwards, she vents to her teammates about taco. her wording paints taco as a bad person putting the team against her.
basically, team bleh doesn't immediately go straight to shittalking taco in her face once they first see her, but instead hears abt her from book, who is, at the time of late idfb-bfb, like a mentally unstable unreliable narrator. and then they distance themselves from taco. also book doesn't straight up harrass taco bc i personally think that's a bit ooc
taco doesn't know why she's being ignored by everyone ....until she hears book venting to icy. events happen, taco's hurt, then we get to that heart-to-heart scene you mentioned in an earlier post!
hopefully i did this right im not a writer ^^;
ANON.
ANON, YOU GENIUS!! I LOVE THAT.
I LOVE BOOK!!
SO!!! DRRRUMMMROOLLLLL!!!!
Cw; verbal, emotional, and mental abuse.
Redux!Book is the epitome of hurt people hurt people.
Going into BFDIA, Book is cooperative, friendly, passive, gullible, and insecure. She just wants friends man!
Book applies for BFDIA with support of friends and family.
Book approaches Pencil to be in an alliance because she watched BFDI and she saw Pencil with a strong team! They lasted so long!! Pencil seems glad to have Book on.
Pencil has strong leadership skills and her right hand, Match, is a great manager. Bubble, a season spectator, seems less than content to have Book and a second newbie on the team.
This second newbie is Ruby!! Book can tell Bubble's hesitation makes Ruby upset. Book doesn't have much of an opinion on it.
Ice Cube!! Book naturally gravitated towards her when they first met, even if Ice Cube's expression was off-putting. She's often quiet so Book finds it easy to hang around her. She's also strong-willed and supportive!!
While Pencil is in the game, she puts herself in control and isn't afraid to set boundaries. Apparently that includes snapping at Ruby. (And Book if Book tries to echo Ruby's hype)
Book is genuinely disturbed when Pencil uses prizes from her alliance members to disable Pin and remove her autonomy. Ice Cube tries speaking to Pencil about this and Pencil shoots her down HARD.
Pin is a threat. Pin is an opponent. If she can't win challenges, she'll surely get out and FreeSmart has a higher chance of winning. This isn't personal. This isn't personal. Book keeps telling herself that Pencil doing this is NOT personal.
Pencil also keeps Book distanced from others. Pencil expects total dedication from everyone to FreeSmart. This includes hanging out between challenges, supporting those in the game even if you're eliminated, and GETTING THE JOB DONE.
This social isolation is why Book develops DPD. She NEEDS direction and to be controlled by others or else she won't know what to do.
But Pencil has to be justified. She just HAS to! Nobody says anything about it and Ruby and Match hardcore enable Pencil.
Pencil lights a fuse whenever Book fails at challenges. Book isn't.. exactly the best at them. But she tries!! She does!! And the audience loves this!
Book doesn't always like what FreeSmart does-- but they have to. She can't bring herself to speak up-- she sees what happens when Ice Cube tries. So, Book can only look at Pencil and wish her thoughts and feelings would magically project to her.
When everyone in FreeSmart BUT Book is eliminated, Book searches for anything that will bring that dynamic back. She tries Baseball, Fries, Needle...
Even PIN! Who brutally killed her. Just to announce the alliance as over after she got safety and kill Book again. She and Book will eventually talk about this
If Book wins BFDIA Pencil will definitely hold that over her head. She'd say that someone who struggles as much as Book did should be thankful for those who boosted her. Well Pencil will probably hold how far Book got over her head either way,,, fun.
IDFB
Same old, same old. FreeSmart is more of a dysfunctional friend group now than ever before.
IDFB Book will get more focus towards the middle-end of the season. She spends almost all of her time with FreeSmart until then.
Same behavior from Pencil. Match is like her but softened. Ruby is an apologist. Bubble is there and has long since warmed up to Book.
Book still sticks by Ice Cube.
One day, Pencil is in a bad mood. It feels like whatever they do, Pencil finds a reason to snap at them.
And Ice Cube snaps.
The confrontation between them is harsh. Ice Cube calls Pencil's behavior out, then Match for enabling it, and stomps off, saying she's DONE with this friend group.
...leaving has been an option? It's that easy? Has it always been that easy? This whole time, the way out was just to walk away? Book can do that too, yeah?
Book goes to follow Ice Cube. Pencil shoves stops her.
Quoting directly from an older post here-- ...Book needs them. She's loyal to them-- that's her alliance. They got her to the final 5 of BFDIA. She owes them to be loyal. She owes Pencil to be loyal and if she can't be loyal, what use is she to FreeSmart? If she can't be loyal, she's abandoning her team and she's no better than...
And Pencil reinforces this mindset. She GOES OFF. She berates Book for even thinking of leaving. She tells Book that Book is abandoning everyone if she goes. You can find the direct quotes here.
Pencil then tells Book to leave.
It's no victory. Book follows Ice Cube in tears, feeling so guilty and horrible.
For the rest of IDFB, Book's mental health is shit. She breaks down multiple times. She's self-loathing.
Ice Cube defends Book when Pencil is there to bully her. And when Ice Cube isn't there, Book has to sit through ridicule. She barely fights back.
Ice Cube is there for Book. Book is there for Ice Cube. With Ice Cube's influence, Book starts to become braver.
Book decides she has to return the favor the best she can. She becomes more assertive, less quiet, and open.
BFB
Book's bravery skyrockets in BFB.
When Taco disappears for a challenge or two and then reappears out of nowhere, Book is the first to see her. Book feels bile in her throat. Taco tries to explain herself and Book refuses to listen.
She does indeed vent to her teammates, painting Taco in a bad light. The team distances themself-- except for Lollipop, who does go to Taco.
Taco decides to try to talk to Book. She finds Book venting to Ice Cube and Ice Cube being very quiet.
We eventually get Taco confronting Book. Bad at communicating #1(Book) and Bad at communicating #2(Taco) do not have a fun time.
Book does not relentlessly bully Taco, no. She instead lets her feelings accumulate until she can't keep them in and finally lets it all out. HURTFUL THINGS ARE SAID!!
"You abandoned us when we needed you! An alliance is supposed to work together! We all have a job we're supposed to do!! You're- you're useless if you can't pull your own weight. We valued you and you LEFT US! We-- you- you're useless if you can't be there. By- by abandoning us, you... You hurt this team. You suck, Taco. You... Suck.."
Yeah Book is definitely in tears by the end of that! And walking away. It's a rage-induced and impulsive state-- it's also Book pushing all of her own self-loathing onto Taco. Yah.
Book and Taco are no longer on speaking terms.
Near the end of BFB pre-split, Book's controlling behavior towards Ice Cube grows worse as she searches for anything to stabilize and distract herself. Ice Cube HATES it.
Ice Cube also won't sit there and tolerate it.
She confronts Book. The two start arguing and, in the heat of the moment, Ice Cube compares Book to Pencil. Whatever Book was going to say, she stops.
A nerve is struck.
Ice Cube tells Book how she feels-- how Book's behavior hurts herself and her team, how she's acting like someone Ice Cube knows she's not, and how Ice Cube is done with it.
Ice Cube stomps off. Book is speechless and sits in silence for a long time before completely breaking down.
It took losing her best friend but Book is finally able to acknowledge how her actions have hurt others-- and how Pencil hurt her.
She vows to make an effort to be better.
Whether or not she talks to Taco by the time Two comes down,, I've been thinking about it but maybe yes!! This is how Taco also gets better at communicating.
With that being said, they won't become friends. But they will be on neutral terms.
When Two pulls up, Book really wants to switch shows. As she's going to switch, she spots a shy Cake looking lost and uncertain. Book goes up to him and offers a listening ear.
TPOT
Book is happier than she's ever been. She's on a fresh new team with fresh new faces and they get along GREAT!! Most everyone on the team is supportive and friendly. Hi Just Not.
Book is the closest with Price Tag and Cake. Book lets Cake vent to her and enjoys his Goiky's Dragon campaign. He's a strong DM!
After Cake is eliminated, Book finds herself a best friend in Price Tag. Best. Friends!!!
When the team swap happens, Book is shocked to find herself on the same team as Ice Cube-- Team 2.
Book tries talking to Ice Cube. Ice Cube isn't interested. Okay!! Book'll just chill with Price Tag then. Price Tag asks about Ice Cube and Book's history and Book gives them the rundown.
Book is stunned when Pencil joins TPOT and takes Book and Ice Cube aside for a cross-team alliance.
It's Price Tag who comes in and pulls them apart. Book expects Pencil to have some strong words for Price Tag but she stares instead.
Book tries talking to Ice Cube about this too. It seems Icy is starting to open up to her again!!
Pencil tries with Book and Icy off and on-- until TPOT 15 when her own actions causes the world to almost end. Ice Cube, Book, and Price Tag all huddle together.
And the next episode, Ice Cube is eliminated. Not before confirming her friendship with Book is back. This is a good step.
Price Tag and Yellow Face are becoming close friends. Book talks to Winner about this and they're starting to become friends too.
As for Pencil? She pulls Book into a very makeshift version of TCOA and tries asking her to team again.
Book tells Pencil to shove off and walks away. She is genuinely scared of Pencil. 😁
THE FOURSE SCENE. PENCIL TRIES AGAIN. HEre's the redux version of their talk!! It's very similar :P
"I am not going to risk going up again!"
"There it is again, Pencil." Book deadpans.
"What?? What is that supposed to mean!?"
"You're still selfish! I thought that, by some miracle, maybe you'd have changed or gotten better, but you're worse than before! It's always 'me, me, me!' with you!"
"Then let me be a WE and JOIN MY ALLIANCE ALREADY!" Pencil takes Book by the arms and they both grapple to stay balanced on the fourse.
"No! I will never be on an alliance with you ever again!" Book grits her teeth.
"Why!? Why not!?"
"Because-" Book yelps as Pencil pushes her hand into Book's face "-because I HATE YOU!!"
"You hate me?"
"YES! You're controlling and selfish and obsessive and MEAN! You never let my achievements be my achievements. You made me scared of you!! Scared to go against you!! You bullied me for MONTHS and you NEVER LISTEN! I gave Ice Cube the space she needed! Why can't you give me the space I need!?"
"Because you're all I have here!! Book, Match is who knows where, Ice Cube is eliminated, and Bubble and Ruby are missing! I just want things to go back to the way they were. I was trapped in the EXIT- in Four- for years! YEARS! And this is how I'm welcomed back!?"
"You nearly destroyed the universe for your own selfish needs! You didn't come back asking to be friends or with an apology-- you wanted an alliance! To get you further in the game! That's all you want! That's all you've EVER wanted! And I will NEVER be used like that again!"
"Then what use are you?" Pencil throws Book off.
Book is left shaking. Yea,, she's scared of Pencil but that felt GOOD. She got her feelings out and now Pencil will finally leave her alone.
That's it! Thats the end!!!

Absolutely loving this blog. Do you fw the head cannon that Leafy would hate the taste / smell of yoyelberries after being forced to eat them for years?
Also your opinion on having any romantic relations in redux! since the og series doesn't have any romance at all.
Sorry if this sounds a bit awkward I wasn't sure how to phrase everything.
No need to apologize Anon!! It's all fine, I understood !
I do fw that headcanon. I can imagine--
Months/years in isolation destroyed Leafy.
She hated herself. She punished herself. She pushed everyone who tried to help away. She told herself that she deserved it.
Yoyleland had very little food sources. She turned to yoylebushes and their budding fruit: yoyleberries.
Fresh, ripe, unprocessed yoyleberries.
The cool smell of the leaves, like mint, while the fruit was balmy. The initial sweet flavor on the tongue, followed by sour the longer it sat in her mouth. The metallic aftertaste.
Sometimes, she can still smell and taste it. Nobody will bring it up and she can feel it on her tongue, in her nostrils.. she HATES it.
-
Now, in the romance department!!
I am not that much of a romantic myself,,, but I know a thing or two about writing it!! And I've confirmed romantic attractions for several characters.
I think it's a wonderful idea!! Part of the redux is presenting different dynamics and relationships. Healthy, unhealthy, or otherwise.
I think Match had feelings for Pencil around BFDIA-IDFB. It began to die down in BFB, especially after both of their eliminations. They suddenly had problems. (Six years of trauma) Doomed toxic one-sided yuri!
I also considered Needle and Pencil, which would also be toxic and probably doomed because of the way Pencil was with Needle in BFDIA and how she is with her whole team in IDFB. (inspired by this tiktok)
I toyed with Golf Ball and Tennis Ball but I find it didn't go anywhere, I didn't like it. I ended up giving the flirtiness between them in BFB to Lollipop. The old character proposal I made for them is getting a huge overhaul!
Lollipop flirts with every friend she makes but she is a lesbian!! If Teardrop stuck around after BFB ended, the two of them would've kissed. TD is demiromantic!!
Pen, Blocky, and Eraser as a polycule mayhaps? With Blocky splitting off following BFB post-split and maybe doing something with Woody. I like queer relationships I am queer
Price Tag and Book could be worth something. They're both in a good headspace for it in TPOT!
If the audience has any suggestions, I am all ears!! They do not have to be healthy. They can be toxic and doomed.

In early BFDIA pre-hiatus, I remember Gelatin having the freeze syringe and anti-venom and stuff. Could you keep that part of his character? Somehow? Maybe by working it into his background? I mean he owns a restaurant and is some sort of chemist/inventor/just has things. He’s lowkey competent (even though he went out of business)
Gelatin !!!! He changed a lot throughout BFDI-- and I mean a lot. When we first see him in BFDIA, you're right!! He's competent and smart. But going into BFB, he kinda regresses? He becomes childish and he feels like another stock silly guy.
I love silly guys. But Gelatin deserves complexity. He places SECOND in BFB, I need to do something with his screentime. I also have a strong idea for him!!
Redux!Gelatin
Laidback, hardworking, nice, compassionate, creative, upbeat, and decently perceptive. He mostly knows when it's time to be serious and when it's time to goof off. There are a couple of moments though!! Everyone has them.
He is GREAT when he's not under stress.
He likes making people laugh. It's his way of helping and comforting others. This goes for himself, too.
Gelatin is a person who ignores his own wants and needs in order to help others. It's ironic, given how in-tune he is with people. (You'd expect his friendship with Firey to make him focus more on himself but it's quite the opposite!!)
Gelatin's creative energy has always gone to science. As a kid he loved getting science kits and messing around with them, even if he didn't really understand what was happening.
In middle school he had a biology phase, which shifted into biochemistry, and right as middle school ended, he found his true calling: chemistry.
He binged docuseries, read articles, and bought books. He got chemistry sets and found social groups online, as well as getting into an after school club!!
Gelatin waited a couple of years to enroll into a college. He wanted to make enough money to avoid going into debt. With a small job, help from his parents, and a good letter, he got in!!
However, in his second year, he had a bump-- his parents were retiring and he inherited their restaurant chain.
He does NOT want this but he can't let down his parents. They've done so much to support him. But... Putting a stressed student still trying to figure himself out in charge of a fairly successful business MAY NOT HAVE BEEN THE BEST IDEA.
The business is failing. Gelatin drops college to focus on that steakhouse instead. He's growing desperate--
BFDIA applications open.
Maybe it's a stupid idea but BFDI is a famous show and people were clamoring to get in. If he gets in, he can try to promote the steakhouse and stabilize the business.
He gets in!! Yippeeeeee!!!
Gelatin meets Firey right off the bat. Friendship established. Gelatin helps him let loose.
The second challenge is to make a cake for next episode's Cake at Stake. It was originally a stew but. Yoylecake. Guys, yoylecake!
Gelatin, Needle, Spongy, Ice Cube, and Book hitch a ride onto Puffball to get to Yoyleland. Puffball is in a rush to get to Yoyleland and this causes Spongy, Ice Cube, and Book to fall off.
Puffball leads Needle and Gelatin through Yoyleland, searching for ripe, healthy berries.
They find a leaf made of metal-- a side effect of eating yoyleberries. She follows them from a distance and Needle goes up to her, Gelatin follows.
It's Leafy!! Needle has history with her. She wants to be left alone and Gelatin comes up with a wonderful idea. He asks for Leafy's help with finding berry bushes. She says she knows a good patch but will only take them if they agree to leave her alone after. Gelatin promises to.
After gathering berries, Gelatin goes back to Leafy. Yes, he promised her he wouldn't, but also according to Needle she's been out here on her own for months. He asks her to come with them and Leafy declines. Gelatin can't imagine why. He tries again and again and eventually she pushes him.
Needle intervenes, fast as lightning, and takes the crew back to BFDIA's main playing field . Turns out they lost!!! Wow!
Gelatin won't be a main focus in the season. But when he does get it, he's got relationships I'm gonna flesh out!! As well as his financial struggles.
YEAH. Mid-season his steakhouse business falls flat on its face. He has to close it down, with existing establishments either being abandoned or repurposed.
Gelatin can't bring himself to go back to college after that and his elimination. He feels like he fails as a person. He feels like he failed his parents. Firey is there to comfort him.
Gelatin eventually meets Leafy again near the end of the season. They decide to stay in contact after.
Going into IDFB, Gelatin is PIVOTAL to Leafy and Firey's storyline. He's the one who gets them into interact. Firey is snippy and insists he doesn't know Leafy while Leafy makes it clear that they do have a history. I think this song does a good job giving off the vibe.
He and Leafy eventually drift away. Leafy's just spending time with others more now!!
BFB!
I don't have much for pre-split Gelatin. Still him focusing on others and helping with contests. I swear he'll get fleshed out here.
He stays in BFB during Two's arrival. His oldest friends are there and he thinks the added prize, while silly, is FUN to mess with.
POST-SPLIT GELATIN! Now the characters have time to breathe.
Gelatin gets to know the Have Cots.
Teardrop is wildly competitive and effective at her work.
Balloony, while he didn't last long, was VERY MUCH SO the Team Dad. He was the moral support's moral support.
LEAFY'S ON THE TEAM!! Gelatin is ecstatic to hang out with her again and gets to hear more about her past with Firey.
Bubble and Ruby are a strong unit together. Gelatin knows that they went through something with their old alliance pre-split but he hasn't pried.
Lollipop is fun. She's confident and witty and makes for a great teammate.
BFB 22!! Donut's diary has gone missing and there's a court case. Leafy calls Firey up for questioning and Firey sputters out a whole story about Leafy stealing the diary. Leafy takes Firey outside to talk.
During that time, Gelatin realizes he and Lollipop are the only new folks left on the Have Cots, with everyone else being season 1 veterans. He invited her to an alliance. Say hello to the Newbie Alliance!!
TD's comic where Gelatin dies horribly? It catches Gelatin off-guard but he's able to work things out pretty quickly with Teardrop!! And then Lollipop invites her to the alliance.
They are the type of friends to flirt with each other. Lollipop always initiates it with Gelatin and Gelatin is shit at it. Post-BFB they will be asked if they're together and they're going to stare DIRECTLY at the asker and go "You thought we were romantic??" High chance one of them is gay or biromantic leaning same-sex. I have had several friends like this and it is the funniest thing ever
When Lollipop is eliminated, she gives some of her pigment to Gelatin! He doesn't keep it just because it's cool, he keeps it because Lollipop is his friend.
Gelatin isn't that close with Flower when BFB first starts but going into the end of post-split, the two of them spend MUCH more time together as the finalists.
Four's motivation has been running dry and X refuses to leave his side... And someone shows up to take advantage of that.
Announcer!! He's here to host while Four and X are out of commission.
And he runs the budget into the dirt.
Flower and Gelatin work together to gather donations to raise the budget by posting online!! Fun contests and exclusive finalist interviews-- and when Gelatin gets interviewed he feels a bit awkward.
For as long as he can remember, he's been focusing on others. Taking over his parents' business as a young adult, being there for his friends, doing what Lollipop and TD want..
He's been neglecting his own wants and needs. He was going to go to college. He was going to study chemistry and become a scientist. He wants to win. While he wouldn't change anything that's happened to him, he does want a chance to do things for himself.
During the finale, season 1 contestants get to share their grievances as Announcer tries to deny his actions and Gelatin cheers them on.
Flower wins the BFDI and BFB. This crushes Gelatin some.
Everyone is setting up a big party to celebrate the end of the season!!
She disappears for a while and comes back to Gelatin with the BFB.
"Hi, Gelatin."
"Hi, Flower!"
"I think this is yours." Flower slides the BFB over to Gelatin.
"No?" Gelatin chuckles. "You won the season, you goof!"
"Yes, I won the season. Though I think you deserve this, you clearly want it."
"Wow, I- I don't know what to say, Flower.. I.. Thank you."
They hug it out. Win!!
As the episode ends, Gelatin and Flower see Firey and Leafy off, where they are going to find their own island!
After the season, Gelatin goes back to college. It's a heartfelt goodbye!!
He returns with his Bachelor's degree in chemistry a couple of years later. Gelatin has made sure to keep up with his friends, though!! Online calls exist :]

the first team of bfdi redux, BEEP Returns!
with team leader Balloony alongside Boom Mic, Clapboard, Clock, Cloudy, Discy, and VHSy
Tumblr media
similarly to the original beep, beep returns is kinda just the “…and the rest of them” team, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t still some team dynamics to be had
obviously balloony and cloudy are a classic duo, but i feel clapboard and discy would also pair up nice just based on the recent tpot short
boom mic would be pretty nervous about actually competing, but i feel like with time they’d come out of their shell. clock meanwhile is completely out of his element without anyone to really latch on to. vhsy is just here for the ride

Character proposal: Two
May as well be God. They have a power SO intense that the only number with more than them is 2763-- and that's only because 2763 can suppress Algebralien power.
Casual, easy-going, optimistic, tolerant, and friendly! Two gives others several chances, even if they really don't deserve it. Two is either completely in tune or out of touch with what's happening at any given moment.
ADHD friend! Two has their moments of forgetting about their own power.
They crave validation. They find it easy to get attached and difficult to let go.
When Two is hit with extreme emotions, they are hit HARD. They find it very difficult to recover from negative feelings.
Pre-BFDI Two struggles to keep friends. Stuff just kept happening. In wanting to keep friends, and thus being deeply concerned about what others thought of them, they became easy to push around.
I don't know what One's history with Two looks like in canon. All that's for sure is that she was trapped away somewhere but for the redux, I REALLY like the idea of One and Two being friends before that happened. I'm talking close-- possibly best-- friends. One introduced Two to the Equation Playground.
Following the incident, Two felt very mixed. That is-- was?-- their friend, right? One was good to them, wasn't she? Wasn't she??
Their standing with other Algebraliens either is neutral or positive. They weren't particularly close with many-- although it is easy for them to make friends and get along with others. Two hit it off really well with Eight. Eight is chill, easy to be around. Two likes that.
Two and Eight grew close and became QPPs(queer platonic partners!) Unfortunately, like so many times before, something caused them to split up and stop communicating all together. Maybe it has something to do with Fourteen. Right before Fourteen shows his true colors.
This is their last straw. After so many times failed, Two leaves their planet and goes on adventures. They return once or twice-- long enough to see BFDIA and have a WONDERFUL IDEA.
A sudden spark of motivation.
They should host a gameshow........... Aaaand they find something else interesting.
Hosting a gameshow chews at the back of their mind for years until they decide to use their powers to find the contestants of BFDIA-- they'd be loads of fun!!
They land on Earth in time to stop Spongy and Loser from getting ran over by Four. It's BFB!
Four and Two knew each other in the Redux. They weren't friends but they weren't enemies either. So, Four's quote changes from canon--
"What are YOU doing here? D:<"
Two gives Four a joyful wave, doesn't answer his question, and invites people to join TPOT. For now, it's pretty much the same scene as in BFB 16.
X stays behind. For some reason. Two has a chat with them before some BFBers come in and take them back
It takes a lot of reminders from the TPOT contestants to ACTUALLY start the show-- this becomes a running thing.
Two and Gaty get their time together. New friend unlocked!
After BFB ends, Four and X show up looking for something to do. Two offers them a place at the hotel. Four seems OVERJOYED(totally not plotting to use this as a way to get back at Two for taking his contestants!)
Two's toleration REALLY stands out when they're around Four. He's rightfully upset about Two taking over but the way he behaves back would have most done with him. Four and X get to work the kitchen!
Two is quick to swoop in and save the EXITors from Four when they manage to escape him. Two gives Four a good scold for trapping the EXITors like that and then puts them to work in the hotel diner. Dora responds by breaking a window.
Over the course of TPOT, Two becomes sadder and sadder to see competitors go. Two's made friends with and gotten to understand so many of them.
Eliminated contestants that aren't sent to Two's domain are going missing. Being ever the optimist, Two brushes it off, assuring everyone that the eliminated ones are probably somewhere-- they'll be fine and Two'll just send eliminated contestants to their domain quicker from hereon out.
There are consequences to not thinking things through.
Two and Gaty just keep on getting closer. Two eventually brings up QPRs to Gaty around TPOT 12 and Gaty lights up. They are now in a QPR!!
Gaty is eliminated in TPOT 14. Two is heartbroken and sends her away to the kitchen, leaving the contestants under the impression that she was in Two's domain. But, hey! Two can look on the bright side here-- now they can spend more time with Gaty.
This is the longest and best relationship Two has ever had. It's not perfect-- there's some attachment problems to work out, as well as priorities-- but Two is really happy for once.
TPOT 15: Seasonal Shift.
The timeline is fucked up and Two doesn't know how or why. It's fixed, not by the contestants but a force Two can't perceive, and a few changes carry over. Marker is green, there's a big crack in the sky---
A few changes?
Two RUSHES to the kitchen. It's a mess-- bags are sprawled everywhere, some utensils, and lots of food.
No sign of Gaty.
Shit.
Two snaps their fingers over and over, falling to the ground and covering their face, trying not to cry. Nothing is working. Gaty is gone, it's like she never existed in the first place.
Oh GOD. She never..
Two is left alone again and they can't take it.
Two completely shuts down. It's X who finds them in the kitchen and takes them to their room. Fanny and Ice Cube set up shop in there shortly after.
Two blocks it all out. They stare at their ceiling. They can't bring themself to move.
X brings Two food sometimes. Two doesn't eat until they're alone but it's not enough. They can feel their power draining and they just. Don't care anymore.
What's the point in going on if everything they love will be lost again and again?
This concept sat in my draft for a week 💔 I'm so proud of it
