I do fw that headcanon. I can imagine--

Months/years in isolation destroyed Leafy.

She hated herself. She punished herself. She pushed everyone who tried to help away. She told herself that she deserved it.

Yoyleland had very little food sources. She turned to yoylebushes and their budding fruit: yoyleberries.

Fresh, ripe, unprocessed yoyleberries.

The cool smell of the leaves, like mint, while the fruit was balmy. The initial sweet flavor on the tongue, followed by sour the longer it sat in her mouth. The metallic aftertaste.

Sometimes, she can still smell and taste it. Nobody will bring it up and she can feel it on her tongue, in her nostrils.. she HATES it.

Now, in the romance department!!

I am not that much of a romantic myself,,, but I know a thing or two about writing it!! And I've confirmed romantic attractions for several characters.

I think it's a wonderful idea!! Part of the redux is presenting different dynamics and relationships. Healthy, unhealthy, or otherwise.

I think Match had feelings for Pencil around BFDIA-IDFB. It began to die down in BFB, especially after both of their eliminations. They suddenly had problems. (Six years of trauma) Doomed toxic one-sided yuri!

I also considered Needle and Pencil, which would also be toxic and probably doomed because of the way Pencil was with Needle in BFDIA and how she is with her whole team in IDFB. (inspired by this tiktok)

I toyed with Golf Ball and Tennis Ball but I find it didn't go anywhere, I didn't like it. I ended up giving the flirtiness between them in BFB to Lollipop. The old character proposal I made for them is getting a huge overhaul!

Lollipop flirts with every friend she makes but she is a lesbian!! If Teardrop stuck around after BFB ended, the two of them would've kissed. TD is demiromantic!!

Pen, Blocky, and Eraser as a polycule mayhaps? With Blocky splitting off following BFB post-split and maybe doing something with Woody. I like queer relationships I am queer

Price Tag and Book could be worth something. They're both in a good headspace for it in TPOT!

If the audience has any suggestions, I am all ears!! They do not have to be healthy. They can be toxic and doomed.

Is it because Daniel keeps hedging his answers and putting in disclaimers? Makes me think he’s not even sure what’s happening. He seems confident about wanting to drive and getting a seat, then literally every other journalist will question him to the point where he breaks down and says he doesn’t know. At least he’s a bit different from the Mclaren time in that he implies that he at least will fight for a seat, but idk. I want to be optimistic but I’m scared I’ll only be hurt.

Hi! Today, I’m sharing a list of mods that I consider essential for playing historical gameplay in The Sims.

I often have friends who want to dive into the Decades Challenge but aren’t sure which mods to use or where to start. So, in this post, I’m going to share the mods I personally use and think are indispensable for creating that authentic historical experience.

Deaderpool's MC Command Center: This mod allows you to manage and modify many aspects of your game, including handling pregnancies, university careers, and enabling teen relationships so your Sims can marry earlier, among other features. You can also enable autosave and adjust the length of a Sim day.

Lumpinou's RPO: This mod enhances relationship dynamics and expands pregnancy features. It's extensive, with many modules, and once you've tried it, you won't want to play without it.

Pandasama's Realistic Childbirth: Offers multiple realistic childbirth options, including natural bed births and spontaneous labour, adding depth to your Sims' family lives.

MizoreYukii's Arranged Marriages: Allows you to arrange marriages for convenience. Parents can agree on marriages for their children, but breaking the arrangement won’t be easy.

Necrodog's Carriages and Horses: Adds functional carriages, enhancing immersion. While it doesn't work with the horses of Horse Ranch pack, it’s still incredibly useful.

Kuttoe's Enlist in War: It will allow your Sims to enlist in the war. Whether they live or die will be random, but if they survive, they'll receive the Veteran trait, a lifetime pension and some lasting traumas.

JaneSimsten's Regency Romance: Perfect for simulating the Regency era. It adds class differences, property ownership, etiquette skills, new traits and careers, events, and widowhood. Though inspired by the Regency era, it works well for later decades too.

SimKatu's Reading Animation Override: Changes the reading animations, with different ones for men and women, making your Sims’ reading time more immersive.

Zero's Deadly Dickensian Sicknesses: Introduces the risk of diseases like Tuberculosis, Typhoid Fever, and Cholera. It’s incredibly realistic with its contagion system.

Adeepindigo's Healthcare Redux: A comprehensive health mod that adds various illnesses and treatments, including tuberculosis and (early access) cancer. While Sims can buy modern medicines, many illnesses can be cured with natural remedies.

Adeepindigo's Simulated Endings: This mod will enhance everything related to your Sims' deaths, allowing them to take out life insurance and designate beneficiaries, arrange funeral preparations, and introduce stages of grief for your Sims.

"It's a pun." Tim announces, the second he steps into Bernard’s apartment. He waves a folder at his boyfriend, moving to spread it’s contents out on his table.

“What’s a pun?” Bernard asks as he leans over to look at the annotated sheet music Tim has produced.

“The random notes are discordant because they’re off-key. And the off-key­ notes are the key to the Caesar Ciphers.”

“Oh,” Bernard says, leaning in closer to read one of the notes. The person Tim had hired had done an exceptional job; they were a bit bemused by the request, but once they’d gotten started they’d managed to transcribe a clean copy of Space Oddity, and then they’d not just identified the incorrect notes, but explained why they were wrong. Tim wasn’t sure all the information would be necessary for the puzzle, but it had been interesting nonetheless.

“Also I made a mistake the other day,” Tim says. “I’d assumed that the key to the ciphers wasn’t in the scale, because a scale has seven notes, but actually it has twelve.”

“Wait, what?”

“The chromatic scale; the complete set of possible notes in nearly all western music,” Tim clarifies. “Not the eight notes that make up a standard key, but the twelve that encompass every note available in a single octave. Apparently it’s not always twelve, though. The number of pitch classes can range a lot, though most stay below twenty in number. The Gamma scale, interestingly, was invented for the 1986 Beauty and the Beast film, in order to create near perfect triads. I couldn’t really tell the difference, but the sample notes sounded… interesting.”

Bernard, who had torn his head away from the musical score, stares at him for a long moment, before he starts to grin.

“You went on a Wikipedia dive.”

“I did. It was very interesting and also, very much not my field of expertise. Also, most of what I read doesn’t relate to your game.”

“That would be crazy if it did,” Bernard says.

“The point being, that some of the discordant notes correspond with the shifting of the images. Whichever incorrect note is closest in measure to the moment the image changes, is the key to that individual cipher, with how much it’s been shifted up or down.”

"Damn, okay." Bernard looks back down at the sheet music, then straightens. “A pun, huh? Good to know they have a sense of humor.”

“Puns are quite literally a play on double-meanings so they’ll probably pop up elsewhere. In my experience they’re pretty useful in puzzle and riddle design.”

“Huh.” Bernard tilts his head considering the new information. “I wonder if the Riddler uses many puns...”

"All the time, actually."

"Dude, why do you just know that?" Tim freezes, remembering too late that most people don't have access to dossiers on every rogue. "No, never mind I know you're like, weirdly knowledgeable about the bats and the rogues; I shouldn't be surprised."

"Well, maybe everyone should pay a little more attention to rogues’ MOs," Tim says pointedly. "They are generally considered to be the most serious safety threat in Gotham, after all.

"I mean, I know generally what their deals are, I just don't go all Genius-Mode about it." Bernard laughs, then gets a thoughtful look on his face. Oh no, Tim thinks. "Hey, maybe the bats should, like, commission your help to deal with the Riddler. I'd bet you'd work through his weird puzzles in like, ten minutes!"

"I feel like they're doing fine as is."

"Yeah, I guess, but like. What if they could do it even faster, right?"

"Maybe." Tim fiddles with his pen. "Do you want to know what else I found?"

“Yes, please.”

"I noticed that the length of time for each photo was different each time. I thought it might be a choice based on the music, since they always shift in time with a note, but there wasn't any logical pattern I could find there."

"I mean, that doesn't seem like a dead-end, that just sounds like we're missing something."

"Exactly. So I made a list of the duration between each incorrect note, and I ran that through a code checker, and it turned out to be encoded in base 26." Tim sets down the next page in his folder and points to the corresponding list of numbers, and then below it, to where he's written out the translation. With any luck, Bernard will focus on the transcription, and won’t ask what code checker Tim used.

"Dude." Bernard says, eyes wide as he stares at the page. “That’s ominous as fuck.”

“That’s one way to put it,” Tim says. When he’d gotten the translation back, he’d felt his blood go cold. He’d practically much fled the Batcave, as soon as he had the software properly closed.

"This is so cool!" Bernard exclaims grabbing at Tim's shoulders and shaking him lightly, accidentally pulling his attention back into the moment. "How have I not dragged you into solving ARGs before this? You're actually so good at it! Just wait till I tell everyone on the forum!"

Tim blinks, Bernard's sudden excitement is a jarring juxtaposition against the words on the page; completely unlike the dread and adrenaline that starts to kick up in Tim’s stomach when he thinks about it. But he can’t blame his boyfriend; this whole thing is just a game. And the people that wrote this, that made these videos, that encoded these messages – the real people, are having fun. He should be too.

Tim takes a deep breath and does his best to match Bernard's excitement. But the words on the page keep staring back at him.

As the month rolls over, the final night of the Ethereal Moon passes. The morning that follows is one of color and chaos. The hallways have been strung up with streamers, in patterns of rainbow and pink, blue, and white. There is a sense of community in the air, a current cutting through the student body and administrative staff alike. While the decorations may be gaudy, and perhaps the patterns unfamiliar, this is a month of celebration.

Caeda mingles among the crowd, bright extroversion encouraging people to join in on the celebration. Forsyth and Lloyd's dedication behind the scenes helps students assemble stands and banners decorate windows. Shez, for their part, plasters paint upon their face, content to engage on their own terms. Ewan's small form flits amidst the crowd, distributing sparklers in every color of the rainbow. What will you do?

Prompts

[ Confetti ] - everything in Garreg Mach seems to be covered in a layer of sparkles and confetti. Grab a handful if you like! And if you don’t mind glittering for the next week.

[ Chalk ] - across the cobblestone, people of all walks of life are drawing in brightly colored chalk. Some are simply signing their names, while others are writing sweet messages, and still more are simply drawing little pictures. What will you add to the canvas?

[ Face paint ] - palettes of paint in every color of the rainbow sit squarely upon a little stand, inviting those who pass by to “wear their colors”. Hanging at the side of the stand are some suggested color combinations and their meaning. Students are encouraged to paint each others’ faces in a display of trust. 

[ Cut & Style ] - a group of Garreg Mach’s students have decided to try their hands at hairstyling, knowing that a proper haircut can do wonders for one’s view of themselves and their expression. However, whether or not they’re good at giving haircuts is another question entirely. 

[ Tie-dye! ] - small, easily-ruptured balls filled with dye have been left in buckets scattered across the Monastery. The intent? Students have been distributed white shirts upon request, and with the donning of said shirt, invite others to shower them in color. There’s nothing stopping you from pranking an unsuspecting fellow without a white shirt on, though..

[ Lovetape - redux! ] - inspired by the celebratory event from BOEL, a gaggle of Golden Deer have decided to take their own spin on the stick-on-compliment game. Brightly colored paper with adhesive backs beckon passerby, as well as a stack of pens. The game is simple - scrawl down a compliment, and stick it onto someone else. Just remember - if you’re fast enough, you might not even get caught! 

[ Mocktail Melody ] - another station, this one in the dining hall, boasts various drinks of different uncannily vibrant colors. Some are bubbly, some are sicky-sweet, and still others are oddly bitter. None are alcoholic. What sort of mixture will you make?

[ Kissing Booth ] - less well-built than the other stands is one that proclaims itself as a kissing booth. Curiously, no one sits behind the counter - will you sit there and await company, or approach someone sitting there?

Hello there, TOA! This is a personal attempt at organizing a little approximation for a pride month event. The prompts can be spun however people would like. I know that there are some implications that come with the idea of canonizing pride in the world of Fire Emblem, as well as the fact that pride flags as we know them are unlikely to exist, but ultimately my goal of organizing something like this is to reach my fellow LGBT muns, especially those who cannot celebrate their identities in real life. Pride is both a celebration and a memory, an honoring of survival and a remembrance of those who came before us, and I hope everyone can get a little bit of fun from this.

some hcs as an offering - pie has eaten whole peppers raw and is undefeated in spice contests - she actually likes hanging out with book outside of the competition, and wishes they could hang out more - if she had a deal made between her and one, it'd probably be something like 'returning everything to the way it was' (like having all of her friends back or something along the lines)

Pie vs Pi isn't canon but I can draw inspiration from that to hammer down her Pre-BFDI life!

Faithful, mellow, and relaxed. She's got a "whatever happens happens" mindset. She's not the best at advice but she is a good listening ear.

Pie has that "whatever" mindset with foods too. She'll try most anything you put in front of her. Whole raw peppers? Sure, she'll have it and then some.

Her favorite food is tacos with an excessive amount of lemon juice.

Lower-middle working class individual. She has bills to pay and is working a 9 to 5. She likes to feel AWAKE before going to work so you can trust she's in bed by 11 and up by 7-- she'll take a cup of coffee and a jog after getting up and stretching.

I like the idea of her and Book being pals! Perhaps they were highschool friends who stayed in contact. When Book applied and got into BFDIA, Pie cheered her on.

She was surprised when a third season was announced(IDFB isn't an in-universe season), including a return of all S1 veterans, S2 contestants, and applications being open.

Applying for BFB was a for fun choice. She wasn't expecting to get in but when she saw the ad for it but she tried anyways!!

A shady bus picked her up and brought her to the playing field. I think starting BFB with her getting up and going would be a fun change.

This bus has other new contestants, some introduced in BFDIA as spectators promised to be let into another season and others who applied through the same as Pie did.

She knew the cast would be big, but...

SIXTY-FOUR PEOPLE!! Announcer must have big plans for this season---

She has a WTF moment when a blue and yellow figure comes crashing into Earth with a robot and something in their hand. Upon landing, the impact destroys the recovery center. They blow on their palm and Black Hole appears.

Black Hole stammers but collects himself and Pie checks up on him!

The blue and yellow creatures are BFB's hosts. Announcer had nothing to do with this and Pie realized that upon seeing how... destructive... their entrance is.

Side character material but I will compensate. There's a large cast in BFB and TPOT. She could use a shorr episode like Cake. That would be cool!

Still figuring out how I want to handle death in the Redux. There's not really consequences to killing? But murder is also frowned on. It's controversial.

She meets Remote!! Remote's very happy to be there and wants to get to know Pie. They stick together as the first two of Death PACT.

Black Hole kinda. Trails after them before asking to join. Pie respects him as a leader-- in BFB, he is the glue of Death PACT.

Bottle is one of the more expressive team members. Pie likes that she knows how to make everyone smile when they're feeling down.

Pen's hardworking and handy. He comes up with good ideas and bounces them off of the team every time.

Pillow... Pie isn't a huge fan. She's running around getting into trouble and takes a lot of focus away from Death PACT's duties. She's on the team about preventing death yet she's trying to cause it. Just because???

Tree is reasonable and works in tandem with Black Hole as the team's leaders. He's stern but it comes from good intentions.

I found this AMV by Lecrogea on YT. It's so fucking good I,, got inspired by it and was left feeling so many emotions . Liy and Pie FTW

Most contestants look at Liy and see someone who's irritable and cranky. But we all have our bad days, yeah? Pie and Liy are great friends by BFB 4.

I mean . Look at them

When Liy is eliminated, she's furious. She gives her speech and Pie walks up to her, ready to offer comfort, and Liy pulls away. Liy then turns her switch over to the dark orange side, takes a deep breath, and switches it back.

She seems like she's about to say something else when Four sucks her up. Wow.

Pie is just befuddled. Wow.

Pie is down to move to TPOT when Two offers everyone a spot. Four's hurt a lot of people and Pie would like to not be apart of that.

Death PACT Again forms. Pie isn't around long enough to get to know the newer members too well. Opinions are formed though !

Pen, Pillow, and Bottle switch teams. Pie is sad to see them go(...save for Pillow. Less of a concern now.)

Pie gets to know Lightning the least. He doesn't think before he acts but he's got passion.

Marker is an optimistic goofball. Pie is glad to still have one on the team with Bottle leaving.

FANNY! Spiteful as she is, Pie managed to get to know her better. Pie is a good listener, after all!! Maybe Fanny just needs to blow off some steam. They're chill.

Pie is eliminated in TPOT 2. It's whatever, honest!! She'll be fine, she doesn't make a big deal of it.

Two is nice enough to actually let her get some last words out. Pie gives her team some encouragement, then she's sent away.

Katherine finds the first model CB plush she had gifted to Liz for her birthday that had disappeared along with Liz, hidden in William's nightstand.

  Katherine finally walked back to her and William's bedroom door, rubbing her face, groaning in exhaustion, but she didn’t feel tired. Nothing but fear and stress were eating at Katherine's entire being, day in and day out. How could she just disappear like that. She inhaled shakily, walking into her and William’s bedroom, she squinted and rubbed her eyes, a little startled by William's lamp still being on. Did he forget to turn it off when he left… William was still off at “work” whatever that was to him currently, at least Katherine thought so. Her drained eyes adjusted to the sudden light, closing the door behind her as she walked over to turn off the lamp. Katherine reached out to the lamp before halting short, a little cupboard on the nightstand was slightly ajar, something white and red was inside, it looked familiar…

  She opened the small cupboard and stared at the Circus Baby plush inside, she pulled it out and held It gently in her hands. It was just like the one I gave Liz, she pinched her brow, trying to remind herself that it was missing along with Liz. Even still she examined the plush doll, its slightly soft plush body flopping in her hands, she looked at the tag on the bottom of the doll, the usual branding and such written on it. Katherine wouldn’t have thought much of it, if it weren’t for the words on the back, Katherine's eyes widened, staring at the unmistakable writing, her writing. She had written Elizabeth's name in pen on the bottom of the tag on the plushie, just in case she lost it. Why is this here ?… This was with her when she… Her heart sank into her stomach, rage boiling in its place, her grip on the plush tightening, Why is this here?!.

  She was snapped out of her trance by the sound of the bedroom door opening, and Williams voice breaking the heavy, piercing silence. “Katherine? I didn’t expect to still see you up.” His voice was calm, only a little surprised by Katherine. “What are you doing?” Katherine slowly rose, not facing William, holding the familiar plush close to her. “William… Can I ask you something.” Her voice was calm, or at least as calm as it could be, her eyes still burning into the lifeless eyes of the plush in her hands. “Of course, you can ask me anything.’ “Nothing was left behind when Elizabeth disappeared, correct?” She heard a sigh from William, her grip only tightening further on the doll, basically squeezing the poor thing. “Yes Katherine, we’ve been through this…” she listened to his footsteps approach slowly continuing to speak as he did “You gotta stop letting this eat at you, the police are doing the best they can, I’ve looked through the security footage, they’ve looked through the security footage and both them and I saw nothing.” Katherine laughed dryly “Nothing, Nothing at all, then why is this in your night stand, William?”

  She turned slightly presenting the doll into William's view, her hardened gaze burning into him, as his face seemed to shift in a mix of emotions Katheirne couldn’t catch. “It’s just one of the first sets of Circus Baby plushies that were produced, I don’t understand what you mean by this-” “Cut the bull shit, her name is on the tag William!” She cut William off, showing the name written on the tag, in Katherine's hand writing. “Nothing was found! Then why is the plush that is supposedly also missing with you?!” The rage bubbled in Katherine, threatening to spill. She stared at him, demanding any kind of answer, but he just stared. After a while he finally spoke “Katie…” “Don’t ‘Katie’ me! Why is this with you! And not with her, Where is she, William!!” All the weeks of worrying about her, all the weeks of putting up missing posters, all the sleepless nights and he knew, he knew something. Katherine shook a little as she stared at him, tears threatening to fall from her eyes. William spoke again, “Are you accusing me of having done something to Liz?” Katherine's hands formed into fists. “Yes… Yes I am, unless you can explain why this missing item has been in our house, in our room the whole time!” she stared into his eyes now, her eyes burning with rage, but also pleading with William to just tell her why, why this was here.  

  He said nothing, his eyes swimming with this calmness, this casualness, that broke Katherine tears finally began to fall from her eyes, the rage bleeding forth from her like a broken dam. “WHERE IS SHE WILLIAM! WHERE IS SHE!!” Her voice pierced the silence of the room like a gun shot, it even seemed to take William off guard as he stepped back slightly, staring at her. “YOU KNOW SOMETHING THAT YOU’RE NOT TELLING ME, NOT TELLING ANYONE!! AND THIS!” She held the plush up, its connected parts flopping a little as she did. “THIS TELLS ME ENOUGH!!! So tell me William… WHERE IS SHE!!!!” Katherine finally stopped, staring at William. Tears pooled down her tired, broken eyes, shaking as she waited for an answer, a response, anything “TELL ME!!!”… but even still, he said nothing. Except his brows furrowed a little, not in anger, not in sadness, but rather pity. She clenched her teeth, sucking in air through them, choosing to not yell more. She lowered her head, walking around William and towards their bedroom door. That is what finally got William moving, and talking “Katherine, Where are you going?” He followed after Katherine, even as she swung the door closed, into his face. She ignored his pleas to talk to him, and slammed and locked her office door in his face.

  “Katherine, please open the door, talk to me!” Katherine ignored him, her back pressed against the door, slowly sliding down it, her body heaving as she choked out sobs, her knees now huddled against her chest, holding that plushie close. She remembers the way Elizabeth's eyes shone as Katherine presented the gift box to her, the excitement burning in them as she tore open the wrapping and the excited, joyous gasp as she pulled out the plush doll. She remembered the guilt she felt that she couldn’t be there for Elizabeth's tenth birthday, the ache in her heart, but the happiness she felt as she watched Elizabeth wave her bye, holding that plush close to her chest in one arm. Now it was all that was left of Elizabeth from that day, and that thought only made Katherine cry harder, coiling up into a ball around the stupid plush. After a bit, her cries began to calm down, slowly dying out. She stared at the barely illuminated room, the plush still clutched to her chest, she could feel the joy from Elizabeth still burning in it. It did little to comfort her, but it gave her a glimmer of hope that Elizabeth may still be alive. She continued to ignore Williams pleas, requests, and demands, listening as he finally gave up and walked away. She laid there in complete silence, staring at the room before her for a while, before her eyes became heavy, exhaustion finally overtaking her. 

  Before she slipped into unconsciousness, her mind made a promise, ‘I promise, Lizzy, I will find you, and I will bring you back…’ her grip on the plushy only tightened as she finally drifted off to sleep.
