note: i do not hate robin btw, just personalmy thinking how mimi and lc!robin's dynamic would go

around the time mimi gets high status in school, robin goes missing. mimi just finds out one day and knew bailey had to do something w/ it. usually mimi tries to go for self-preservation (picking her battles, trying not to be a target), but this is freaking robin. since they have a shared history and struggle together, she accepts to pay for his debt

she becomes his emotional support and rock. robin is understandably battered, so mimi prioritizes his well-being more... but then, whitney comes along to challenge her status. not only is she caring for a traumatized friend and making ends meet, she's potentially losing something that makes her feel safe: her social standing in school. it just puts mimi in a v tight spot.

mimi becomes overwhelmed by it all, and ends up distancing from robin. robin's still recovering from his trauma, and he needs mimi more than ever. so he gets upset and confused by her lack of presence. mimi apologizes, promising she'll be there for him more....but then, she fails to deliver. so it causes a rift between them, with robin getting mad at her for breaking her promise and mimi saying he has never shown care for her.

Elmo's uncle is coming over to visit, but they're looking a little different! They explain to Elmo that sometimes people realise things about themselves and that they start to change, which makes them happier- and though they won't quite be the same as before, that won't make them love you any less. So even if they won't be his amazing uncle anymore, she hopes she can still be his amazing aunt.

Hunter and Luz's deaths being reverses of each other is crazy work in so many ways. Hunter is working on his emotional well-being, and beginning to accept himself. He lists the things he wants to do in order to stay focused so he can take himself (and Belos) out. Hunter hasn't been able to fully escape his trauma, in fact it literally overtakes him and he hurts people he loves, and he's holding onto the potential life he won't get due to Belos. Hunter's possession is forced on him, it's out of his control, it's the unfair expectations and history of violence that he could try and recover from but it still a part of him.

Luz has been in the exact opposite mindset. She's been really depressed and doesn't see a future for herself where she doesn't hurt everyone in her life because of her guilt. Luz is planning to sabotage her friendships in order to protect her friends from her perceived "brokeness". But her death is sudden and shocking, her sacrifice isn't made out of guilt but of an inherent impulse to save somebody else. Luz has to choose to come back, and she accepts a "possession", where she's in control. Luz has to accept that she's good, that she is worthy of life because she's here, right now, and she is enough.

They both also deal with the aftermath differently, with Hunter grieving and being angry at himself for what happened (which Luz and their friends perceive as him being angry at them). Hunter wants to get revenge on Belos at first, but then his focus shifts to protecting his friends and fighting for the Isles instead. Luz comes back with a lot of joy and excitement, she's happy to be alive again and its fun and she's more than happy to get revenge. After that fades, Luz is left tired. But they both end the series getting on the same page- they both love their families, and they both choose to live.

headcanon that percy and annabeth hang out at the apartment a lot after the war. and percy is just happy that he's alive, and wants to be around his parents and girlfriend. except, annabeth is avoiding eye contact all weekend. percy eventually summons the courage to confront her about it, asking her if he did something or if she's okay. and she's just breaks down because 'you're just so pretty that i can't look at you'. which actually means that she spent the last four years befriending and falling in love with a boy she was certain was going to leave her like everyone. but he's always come back to her because she's his permanent thing and he's hers. and the idea that someone loves her so much is so overwhelming that looking at him. alive and healthy and happy. is enough to make her cry like she's seven years old.

I'm seeing that poison control post going around and I don't want to derail it with my one and only calling poison control story but I have called it and they were great! An excellent resource that saved me a trip to the urgent care I called it because I somehow fumbled using a syringe (no needle) to measure my dog's medication and put it in his food so badly that I hit myself in the eye with his medication. The very nice poison control guy very politely did not laugh at me and went over the specific medication and how it would interact with medications I was on (the answer was: it wouldn't but do try to avoid getting dog medication in your eyes in the future)
