Prayer Against Idolatry, Treason, and Betrayal

In the Name of Jesus Christ, the Risen King

Heavenly Father,

In the mighty name of Jesus, I come before You with a heart crying out for cleansing, justice, and restoration. I repent for every form of idolatry—whether in my life, my family, or my nation. You have commanded clearly in Exodus 20:3-5, “You shall have no other gods before Me... for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God.” I renounce every idol—whether of wealth, fame, politics, comfort, or false religion—that has dared to exalt itself above You, Lord.

In the name of Jesus, I ask You to break every generational curse tied to idolatry. Expose every hidden relic, symbol, or spiritual doorway in my home or bloodline that grants evil access. Let every altar erected against You be torn down by the fire of the Holy Spirit. Where I or my ancestors have committed spiritual treason—bowing to other gods, placing trust in man, or betraying Your truth—I ask for divine mercy and deliverance.

Lord Jesus, we stand in the gap for our nations. We boldly call out the treason, idolatry, and betrayal in the high places of government, media, education, and even the church. Where leaders have bowed to mammon, compromised truth, or betrayed their people for power and gain—expose, uproot, and judge with righteousness. Let the fear of the Lord return to our land.

We declare Habakkuk 2:3 over every promise You have given: “For the vision is yet for an appointed time... though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” We trust You, Jesus, to bring justice in Your perfect timing, even when we don’t see it yet.

As it is written in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” So Lord, in the name of Jesus, we humble ourselves. We turn. We seek You. Heal our hearts. Heal our families. Heal our nations.

Jesus, be enthroned again in our hearts and in our land. No longer will we serve the gods of this world. No longer will we remain silent while darkness prevails. In the authority of Jesus Christ, we declare: Every idol must fall. Every traitor to righteousness will be exposed. Every act of betrayal will be judged.

Amen, and Amen.

I'm not sure if I'm seen but hopefully this thread reaches people who can help me in a short amount of time -- be it financially or through reblogs. This is my last resort to get back that jewelry. I apologize if I'm being a burden or nuisance to others but I really have no other choice or option right now but to beg for help. I'm still stuck at 0 and tomorrow is already Sunday. ‎Hi, I am Gabrielle from the Philippines. I know almost everyone is facing financial problems right now but I can't think of any other way to solve mine.

‎Just a little background, I'm an orphan for almost 3 years now, married, and with a 1 year old son. My father died last 2020 due to complications of his hypertension while my mother died last 2022 because of stage 4 breast cancer.

‎After losing them both, I tried to start again, have my own family, and survive. When I got pregnant, I was so eager to have a normal delivery but things didn't go well and I had to go an emergency cesarian section option for my delivery. The money we had that time was sufficient for a normal birth delivery package, so I got no choice but to pawn my deceased mother's ONLY piece of genuine jewelry so that the rest of the hospital bill will be paid.

‎Fast forward to December 2024, I lost my job. What kept my family going was the volunteer work that I do. Sometimes, we get allowances. Sometimes, we're given food packs. Most of the time, we just get thank you's. It was spiritually fulfilling but physically draining. My husband was also a contractual worker and his last contract ended last November 2024. Up until today, April 2025, he's still jobless, waiting to be called again.

‎I have a side hustle -- DIY decoden. But my supplies are not complete, I don't have a wide variety of charms or decors to choose from and customers don't come on a daily basis. Once in a week is already a blessing for me.

‎Beginning of this month, the pawnshop, where I pawned my mom's jewelry, said that my pawned item will expire on April 31, 2025. Once it expires, I can no longer have the jewelry again.

‎It's been days of worries and regrets. This is also one of the reasons why I stopped the fundraising for Tutoy. My own family is also struggling financially and worst, Mama's only well-kept jewelry might be gone because of me. I don't want to lose my only memory of her.

‎I'm writing and posting this to BEG for help. Yes, I'm HUMBLY BEGGING FOR MYSELF AND Y FAMILY. I urgently need help to redeem the jewelry before it expires. Please help me. This is the only tangible memory of my Mama.

I mean, in terms of how it's possible for that anon's ask, I'd say that it's because a lot of the wealth Magnus left Lestat wasn't money, it was jewellery and artefacts that will generally gain value over time, so are probably worth eye-watering amounts of money now. Apologies for my crappy photos, haha (conveniently my copy of TVL is still on my desk), but:

But yeah, I mean, I disagree with that tumblr user's thesis that Lestat is very intelligent and invested well, honestly. I love Lestat a lot, which I think everyone on here probably knows at this point, haha, he was a formative character for me growing up and I love that we're getting such an incredible adaptation of him now, but Lestat sort of lacking intellectually is, to me, a pretty central (and charming!) part of his character.

He was an incredibly abused and neglected child - deliberately uneducated by both his parents, one out of a desire to control, and the other out of a lack of patience - and while for many children that can and does shut the world off, what I love about Lestat is that, especially in the books, it's bred this almost childlike sense of enchantment and wonder for him for every new thing he gets to experience.

And look, yeah, there is a pragmatism in him, which has I think been wrung out of being the only semi-competent person / the only true survivor in his family, and that pragmatism I think is probably what saw him hand over the wealth to an institution who could care for it, but at the same time, I don't know if I agree that Lestat likes to be a provider necessarily.

He invests in people because he loves them, and he gives them money because he has it (and probably feels a degree of detachment to it as a result of how he got it). Lestat buys the Theatres des Vampires and continues to send them money because he loved Nicki, and he invested in The Azaelia because he loves Louis - the fact that the latter was a good business investment and Louis a smart and capable businessman is incidental - Lestat would've invested anyway which we can basically see given the Theatres des Vampires has already had to downsize theatres and seems to be haemorrhaging money yet Lestat never cut them off.

I guess what I'm saying is that when it comes to everything - money included - Lestat's a character who thinks with his heart, not his head.

"[Events in the early thirteenth century disrupted Ida and Renaud's partnership.] Between spring 1210 and autumn 1211, the relationship between Renaud and the king [Philip Augustus] unraveled in the face of King John’s efforts to regain the allegiance of the northern French lords and the revived fortunes of Otto of Brunswick, once again king of Germany (and nephew of John and Ida). Philip’s suspicions, aroused by the presence of Eustace the monk in Boulogne (formerly seneschal of Boulogne and now John’s spy), led him to renegotiate the terms of the marriage agreement between Matilda of Boulogne and his son Philippe in 1209 and again in 1210. The documents only refer to Renaud, but it seems likely that Ida was part of the discussions.

Shortly after the second revision, the ten-year-old pair were wed in May 1210. This triggered the stipulation that Matilda’s dowry (all the family’s Norman lands, excluding Mortain, Lillebonne, and Alisay) were to be turned over to royal control on October 1, 1211. Renaud began refortifying Mortain Castle, in part a response to his support of his cousin Catherine, countess of Clermont’s, conflict with Philip, bishop of Beauvais (a royal cousin). Philip accused Renaud of disloyalty and demanded that the castle be surrendered by September 8, 1211, as security for his fidelity or be judged in default.

What advice Ida gave Renaud in the autumn of 1211 before the break with Philip II is unknown. None of the chronicles relate Ida’s role in the swift dissolution of the ties between the king and her husband. All Renaud’s efforts to negotiate matters with Philip were rebuffed. She, Renaud, and her brother-in-law, Simon, fled to safety, first to the county of Bar and then to England. Renaud swore allegiance to John, and Ida served as a hostage for Renaud’s good faith. Philip reacted swiftly by confiscating their lands and appointing his son Louis the ruler of Boulogne. Renaud, with the aid of William Longsword and Hugh de Boves, served as John’s emissaries and commanders in the region between 1212 and 1214. They were joined by Ferrand, count of Flanders, and Louis and Philip were hard pressed in the region.

At the battle of Bouvines (July 27, 1214), Renaud fought valiantly until the end, but he and Ferrand were captured. Ferrand was imprisoned at the Louvre for his defiance, but Countess Jeanne was allowed to rule Flanders, albeit under tight royal supervision, until he was released in 1231. Renaud was chained up at Péronne Castle and never released.

Afterwards, Ida sought to ransom Renaud from Philip II, both directly and with the aid of Countess Jeanne of Flanders, but her efforts failed. She retired to the Augustinian house of Zonnebeke, where she died in 1216. Renaud died in captivity in 1227. Between 1212 and 1223, Prince Louis governed Boulogne, and, to a lesser degree, Artois. Boulogne served as his supply base during his English campaigns from the winter of 1216 until the fall of 1217; consequentially, the Honour of Boulogne escheated to the crown."
