According to the DSM-5 HPD is "a pervasive pattern of excessive emotionality and attention seeking"

HPD can be developed in many ways, including childhood abuse or neglect, people who grew up kinda getting rewarded for being the center of attention - they didn't really get punished or reprimanded. Passed down by a family member, and/ or certain parenting styles.

Now the DSM-5 has some diagnostic criteria which includes:

One being uncomfortable in a situation where they are not the center of attention

Consistently uses physical appearance to draw attention to oneself

Has a style of speech that is excessively impressionistic and lacking in detail.

Shows self-dramatization, theatricality, and exaggerated expression of emotion.

Considers relationships to be more intimate than they actually are

Is suggestible (i.g., easily influenced by others or circumstances)

Now this is only 6/8 that are listed - I'm going to expand a bit more on some criteria that is listed

Criterion 1: The person tends to draw attention to their self and may initially charm new acquaintances by their enthusiasm, apparent openness, or flirtatiousness.

Criterion 3: Strong opinions are expressed with dramatic flair, but underlying reasons are usually vague and diffuse, without supporting facts or details. For example, someone could say that someone is a wonderful human being, but wouldn't be able to provide any specific examples of good qualities to support this decision.

Criterion 4: They may embarrass friends and acquaintances by an excessive public display of emotions

NOW back to James

Idk if I'm going off of canon James and his life or fanon James, but hear me out on this - James, being the only child, center of attention. He was loved by everyone and would constantly be given attention. He would charm everyone he met, and they would all love him. And when he went to Hogwarts, the attention didn't stop. Now the criteria that i've listen off are the ones that I feel like fit James. According to the DSM-5 HPD could be indicated if someone were to fit 5+ of these criteria.

Now going off of some of the criterion and my reasoning

I feel like if James were to always be the center of attention, not having the spotlight would feel weird. Since in this hc (or wtv u wanna call this idea), he was brought up always being the center of attention, at home, at Hogwarts, with new people, the spotlight not being on him...bad idea

If I'm correct, James was canonically described as good-looking. Now, yes his looks may come without effort, but in this situation, I wanna say that James would definitely put effort into the way he looks, esp if he was trying to impress someone. And therefore use his looks to charm people, become the center of attention and all that stuff

James was dramatic and emotional, and supported his friends and their ideas.

Like I said, James was dramatic and his flair for pranks too...

Must I explain?

Like I said, while people think he was the leader, he was also a follower in my opinion. He would probably be influenced by his friends. (ALOT)

Y'all gotta stop enabling me 'cause I'll never turn down an opportunity to exposit. So, this is in reference to the recent Monty Hall poll post, and my assertion that "my favorite explanation comes from just bass boosting the numbers involved". To bring us all onto the same page, let's first talk about the Monty Hall problem.

(Also, I tried a cute thing with coloring the words to make the argument easier to follow. I apologize if it's hard to read; you can copy-paste the text somewhere else and read it there if you mind.)

So the setup is, we start with a game. The game is usually ostensibly a part of the show Let's Make a Deal, hosted by Monty Hall, but this particular game never actually appeared on that show. I'll instead host it in a certain infinite casino (The Casgeno) which I often use for probability puzzles like this. Here's the Monty Hall game: You're given three sealed boxes. Two of them are empty, and one has some big desirable prize, like a couple thousand dollars or the keys to a new car or what have you. You are to guess which one of the boxes has the prize, and if you're right, you get to keep the prize.

Okay so there's pretty straightforwardly no strategy to this; you've got a one in three chance of victory. But here's the thing: After you make your guess, the host of the game (let's say his name is still Monty) opens one of the empty boxes and shows you there's nothing inside. Now there's two closed boxes in front of you, and you're offered one more choice: Do you stick with your previous guess, or do you switch to the other closed box?

So that's the usual setup. (Okay the usual one involves doors and goats, but the actual important bits are clearly the same.) Let's ignore this question for now and look at a different one, in which we bass boost the numbers:

This is a game we'll call the Monty World game. Instead of three boxes, Monty tells you that he's selected a person from your homeworld (the Casgeno overlaps infinitely many realities; don't worry about it) completely at random. Eight billion people, all equally likely to be selected. He tasks you with guessing the selected person; if you're correct then you get the big prize.

Again there is no strategy here. Let's say that you guess he randomly selected your skateboarding cousin Throckmorton as the person. But then, after you make this guess, Monty reveals more information. He tells you that the randomly-selected person is either your skateboarding cousin Throckmorton or Mohamed Badawy, a 24 year old retail worker from the Bûlâq al-Dakrûr district of Giza, Egypt. Again you're offered a choice: Do you stick to your cousin Throckmorton, or do you switch to Mohamed?

Unlike in the Monty Hall game, for the Monty World game the choice seems obvious. With eight billion people on the planet, it's vanishingly unlikely that the selected person was anyone you knew, much less your cousin Throckmorton specifically. Like, would Mohamed Badawy's name even come up if he wasn't the selected person? Switching to Mohamed Badawy, 24 year old retail worker from the Bûlâq al-Dakrûr district of Giza, takes your odds of winning from a statistical impossibility to a statistical guarantee:

The only way you lose by switching is if your cousin Throckmorton was, due to staggeringly miraculous bad luck, the actual selected person all along.

I like this modification because it is incredibly effective at pushing back against the "but there are only two options so it should be fifty-fifty" reflex. Yes, there are only two options, but they come from very different places: one of them was proposed by someone who knows nothing about the situation (you) and one of them was proposed by someone who knows everything about the situation (Monty).

Now let's get back to the boxes. If you think about it, the setup is basically the same, except for the scale of the numbers involved. If there were three people in the world instead of eight billion, then the new game and the old game would work exactly the same, beat for beat. The weirdness in the old game is specifically because there are exactly three options, the smallest possible number for which the game can work. When Monty opens the empty box, it just feels like he's revealing an empty box—that's where his hands are, after all—but what he's really doing is informing you that the prize is either in the box you guessed or in the remaining unopened box. (Notice that the revealed box itself is so unimportant that I haven't even given it a color.) The conclusion, then, is the same as before:

The only way you lose by switching is if your initial guess was, due to a quite reasonable one-in-three shot of bad luck, the actual nonempty box all along.

And, yeah, that's what managed to take the problem from "unintuitive but true" to "intuitive" to me. You can either stick with the option you proposed at random or switch to the option proposed by The Guy Who Knows How To Win. Obviously the second one is better, so switching improves your odds.

The fact that i've never felt romantic attraction in real life, yet enjoy music, films and fanfiction with happy and romantic themes probably shows my many natural contradictions. But i think i can figure out why it appeals to me. It's all about the execution of the writing, and the fact that love and happiness is still an appealing thing to me. But let me try to explain in more depth (since I have a lot I want to say).

As i've said before on here, comedies are one of the only movie genres I like. Comedies are soothing, comfortable and usually very happy. They take my stress and help me manage it. And naturally, this means i'm not opposed to romantic comedies. If done right, they're brilliant. I saw one with Rock Hudson and Doris Day a while ago, and it was amazing. Funny and happy, and it just made me feel compelled to watch it. So a good classic romantic comedy has the perfect combo of happiness, humour and love. A winning combination there. And it works for music, too. Uptempo romantic songs? Really great! Slower romantic ballads? Sometimes make me feel sad and sluggish, but they can be good. Execution is everything.

And as for fanfiction...well, romance may be foreign to me, but love isn't. We probably all want some kind of love, and I am no exception. I love my dad, I eventually want friends or at least people who I can be 100% open with in real life. Those desires show that I am not immune to love. And I certainly love happy endings. If an ending isn't happy, then it's bad. I am very black and white on this one issue. So soft stories of love and happiness between characters? That is practically designed for my brain's sensibilities. It doesn't scare me, it doesn't hurt me, it just helps me feel better about my life. And that's all I need in my life. Honestly.

Who appears the most in Io Sono Macchia Nera?

I recently found this website, by Matthew Stewart, called Screen Time Central that collects how much different characters appear in various movies. I thought it would be interesting to do the same with Disney Comics, so here is stats on who appeared the most in Io Sono Macchia Nera (AKA I'm The Phantom Blot).

These are all the characters Inducks lists as being in the story. With the addition of Jacob, who I added myself despite the fact that he isn't on Inducks, since he is an original character.

(This is who I mean with Jacob by the way).

Matthew Stewart usually uses the Oscars as a way at looking at screentimes, so I'll group in types of characters as either "leading" and "supporting" here (although mostly because I think it's a very intuitive system for this!).

What's interesting is that here in Denmark this story was listed as a Phantom Blot led story. Yet he, as it turns out, only appears in a little over 10% of it. Looking purely at the stats you might be quick to make the conclusion that this was wrong and that it's obviously a Mickey lead story. However, if you've read the story you'd probably agree that the Blot is leading and not supporting. In fact I would say that he is the singular lead of the story with Mickey acting as a secondary.

This is for a lot of reason, most just being the feeling you get when you read it. The main point is that we view most of the story through the point of view of the story. I won't go more in detail here, because I think you would agree with me if you read the story, let me know if you don't and I'll explain myself more in detail!

This got longer than expected, whoops!

These characters don't have names yet (because I'm bad with them), so I'm just going to call them Red and Blue for simplicities sake. They are two girls from a sci-fi "story" (more like vignettes) I've been daydreaming about for years but haven't done much else with. So why not do a bit with them outside of my head ^^

4. How would they describe each other if asked? Physically? In personality?

Red about Blue: Clingy, dashing- like a knight on horseback, almost too thin under the suit, a partner I can trust.

Blue about Red: Warm, brave to a fault, bruised and scarred every which way i look, a pillar I rely on.

20. What is their best memory together?

It would have to be when they got trapped in a cave during a snowstorm and had to huddle for warmth, and instead of just being close or holding hands like they did before, Red dropped her defenses a bit and allowed Blue closer to her, eventually embracing her. A major turning point in their relationship going forward.

25. If a stranger saw them together, how would they describe their relationship?

They are often physically close to each other since Red is a human space heater and Blue is very sensitive to cold temperatures (and they live in what is basically a nuclear winter) so people are already primed to see them that way, but when going out they always hold hands or are otherwise intimate, Red is the only one who doesn't notice the way Blue looks at her, she sees it as the natural thing to help, especially when it's as simple as letting Blue siphon a bit of her body heat. They will get there eventually.

What if Jason found a infant Danny one day and adopts him? What if he doesn't tell the Batfam at first cause he's still on the fence/mending his relationship and by the time he feels he might just be able to tell them he is unsure how to. He had plans but still isn't sure how.

He has no choice when his son is summoned one night.

It started when a cult sets up shop in Gotham. The Bats scramble trying to find out leads and what they are planning. But they are good at hiding and staying low.

Things get bad when suddenly Red Hood goes missing and all clues lead to the cult taking him for some reason.

When they find him, he's legit about to be sacrificed because he's 'Connected to the Realms' and the connection is powerful enough to summon the 'Ghost King into their realm.

The Bats do what they can to try to stop them but the ritual happens anyways when even the tiniest bit of Jason's blood spills onto the summoning circle.

And the Ghost King is summoned. Like all spooky and dark and all the bells and whistles of creepy evil thing coming.

Only suddenly it stops. And in front of everyone is a tiny little figure that slowly rises from the floor, and they hear a yawn.

On the floor, rubbing a eye and waking up from their nap, is a tiny white haired, elf eared, tiny fanged, kinda glowing with star like freckles, wearing an outfit fit for a prince complete with an aurora and ice crown floating above their head and a blanket that looked like it had plucked the very stars from a galaxy toddler.

The tiny thing looks around in a dazed hazed of just waking up and stops when it spots Jason. He blinks before slowly stumbling up and makes his way to him, dragging the galaxy blanket with him before he plops himself in Jason's lap, snuggles as best as he can as he can and mutters sleepily "Hi Daddy." Before falling asleep again.

The problem with liking aftg an insane amount is that the first time you read the books Andrew in the end can be seen has a hard guy with some soft spots, but then you read the extra content, and all the insanely well written character analysis, and then you read it again, and again, and again, you see the heartbreaking reality that Andrew is an extremely soft man who had to act hard to survive.

Silver's basically a physical carbon copy of his biodad, so what did he get from her? like, I understand why the two of them kind of have to stay as these super vague and mysterious figures -- the whole point of them is that their story ended 400+ years ago and they're not really relevant anymore (and. well. the more that gets explained about them, the less that can just kinda be handwaved as "oh the politics were Very Messy") (we can sit here and theorize all day but let us acknowledge that, ultimately, canon gave us almost nothing about them post-Meleanor and we'd just be making things up). I do still wonder about her though! RIP Lea, we never knew you and we probably never will.

Aquaman just went through the Zeta tranport after Batman called on him to come to the Watchtower since Constantine wasn't responding.

He followed batman toward the large glass mirror showing space, J'onn were trying to lure a child size sea angel boy or girl with a mini nasa space shuttle slowly toward the Watchtower, glowing eyes beaming at the toy with his long flowing white hair waving as if under the ocean with electric sparking as his body was nearly transparent with a Y shape on his little chest swaying in space, freshly made star dust being left behind.

"We have no idea where this 'alien' came from, but so far, J'onn isn't getting anything beside the words coming from Voyager Golden Record an-

'I don't believe there isn't just one, Batman.'

Aquaman and Batman turns to J'onn as Silver Ships with glowing green highlights, and the word F on them was far off in the distance of space, and other floating beings leading them, a pharaoh flying holding the actual Voyager Golden Record, and a black haired lady whom body's was covered in constantly growing glowing fruits being take by tiny blob creatures going back to the ship.

The people in the green tint windows of the ships had pointed ears, green, red, blue, and purple eyes.
