Tip for if you're blurry/can't tell who's fronting/can't figure out who a new member is: the website same.energy is really helpful for us! We usually look through the "variety" page until an image feels right. It helps narrow it down, or at least figure out some information.
The site is kind of broken, so the only pages that work are "Variety" and searching. ("Variety" won't show up unless you type something in the search bar and then delete it again.)
Be warned that the site can have images of pretty much anything, including slight NSFW/nudity and blood/gore/anatomy (the more graphic images of both should be blurred unless you change your tag preferences), creepy/scary images, weapons, trypophobia, distorted faces, eyes, etc. Tread with caution. Most of the variety page should be fairly safe though.

i hate shoutout posts, so this is like... a whisper to every single fucking system who can't be in therapy. who arent safe. live with abusers. who dont have the money, dont have the location, cant find a therapist. who cant do this shit.
i think that most advice from the internet is like... if you have did go to therapy and i bet thats useful if u can have it but if you cant, its so isolationg. especially with an individualistic (every man for himself) culture, people often tell u to just... go to therapy bro. dont bother me about it.
here are fr some tips as someone who has a lot of problems and is not in therapy:
prioritise staying alive. it can never get better once you are dead.
take your time with it. you dont need to post alter intros or have a plural kit. you dont need to have a journal. take time to be comfortable as you can even if the circumstances are very bad
depending on your amount of control and interaction with your system, introduce people who don't have a lot of life experience to new things like food, new colours and textures and places. this especially applies if you have a bunch of alters who only really know the environment of their abuse
build community. its really really really hard but do try. having friends kept me alive. it still keeps me alive.
learn about healthy relationships - we all have internet access. learn about boundaries and triggers and talking to others healthily. a lot of people with did will struggle with healthy relationships even if they make them. learn and do your best to act with it
treat your body like a rental or a pot plant or an animal if needed - even if it doesnt seem like yours, you gotta feed and water and walk it bro. u need the sun. you need enrichment and interaction.
ignore the discourse if youre struggling - it actually doesnt matter and will make you more sick. thinkning about endo vs trauma or like.... idk... labels discourse can be a major stressor that can lead to warping your sustem presentation or repressing and harming bits that arent conforming well
engage in things that are irl like building mini legos or clay - it can help make outside a better environment and shit, aklso can help ground.
find your own triggers and talk about it with ur system. write notes or yap.
find joy in being alive and being a system. despite what reddit or youtube or whatever will tell you, as things improve they will get better. and u should look for joy and funnies when you can
dont give up
LISTEN TO YOUR SYSTEM. THEY'RE NOT ALWAYS GOING TO BE RIGHT. THEY LIKELY ARE ASSHOLES OR INSANE JUST LIKE YOU. BUT YOU LIVE TOGETHER.
healing is easier as a team.
i believe in you

TransNPD tips from a CisNPD System
Don't just act NPD, think NPD (Ex. Someone's taking a while, don't just say a complaint about it, think "Wow, what gives them the right to take so long? This is why I'm better than them.").
Get your Internal Ranking System in order (Ex. our goes long the lines of: the-worst-ever, definitively-worse-than-me, unranked, you okay ig, you're worthy of/equal to us, & your better than me (rare)).
Stop listening to music artist that diss narcissists in their songs (Ex. Taylor Swift "I never trust a narcissist...", Melanie Martinez "Now I'm hop, skip, jumpin' over narcissists", etc).
Get offended when people misrepresent or demonize narcissists (Doesn't necessarily have to be externalized).
Tell people you have NPD.
Research NPD (duh).
Consider how you want it to present (covertly or overtly) and how it might be affected by other disorders (trans or cis) (Ex. if you also have DPD in some way then you're more likely to present a bit more covertly).
If you have therapist, mention symptoms in nod medicalized terms. You might not get a diagnosis but it's affirming either way (and if they give you tips on to how to minimize them then you can flip it around and use it to minimalize them).
Subliminals, always. Either just some that boost you affirmations, specific ones, or ones you make youself!
Look for 'Supply'/Categorize praise & similar as 'Supply'.
When critiqued, have narc crashes (claim your the worst, unlovable, worthless, & similar during these).
Call yourself a narcissist.
Take preliminary quizzes for NPD (feel free to lie about symptoms, these can also be a good way to check your progress).
(Based off personal experience) have people you don't know well personal reputation (as in how you view them) easily ruined and make it only fixable if they do something for you.
Claim superiority in some way whenever and where ever.

This is a theory, but I think the fastest way to develop separation in a headmate would be to form exomemories intentionally, and using those exomemories to form opinions, values, fears, etc. Alternatively, you could instead visualize the future and what you want to be like, which honestly serves the same purpose. Whatever works best in your head for you
The memories when created would have to cause an emotional reaction, preferably in the headmate who's memory it is. This is because we are creating subconscious parts, and the subconscious runs on emotion and feeling. Faking the memories/visualizing the future works because the subconscious straight up doesn't care about if something is real/fantasy. If you practice an action/idea/thought enough times in fantasy, it will be easier to do it in reality, and the more you do it in both, the more automatic it becomes.
I haven't done this very well irl because of ADHD, but let me know if it works out for people.
This is an amazing tip! thank you so much for sharing
If you ADHD i think a way to be able to do this method easier would be put on some white noise or calming music in the background that stimulates you just enough, and then writing down the memories and reading them. maybe highlight them and make them look fun!!
Thank you so much for the tip annon may the trans plural force be with you!

Tips for systems who have alters with those sources
Listen, we've all interacted systems who have alters from those sources at least once. Y'know the ones; sources that aren't so kind.
This can be a struggle for those in said system as it can distress the system and other's due to the alter's source being upsetting. This post is for those system who have said alters and, more specifically, some tips to help or encourage the alter to disconnect from the source. Tips below cut!
1. Discussion ‧₊˚⊹‧₊˚⊹
First, talk with them. Tell them what makes their source problematic/distressing. Make sure they know that their source and their identity is an upsetting topic and why it's best that they change how they view the source and that they should disconnect from the source and develop a new, separate identity that isn't their previous one.
It's best to think this over beforehand and possibly write/type it down and finalize it before actually saying it. Don't be too aggressive and try to keep the tone neutral as to not make the alter feel pressured or like they need to defend themselves.
2. Support ‧₊˚⊹‧₊˚⊹
Changing their identity can be very difficult as they are essentially abandoning everything about themselves which can be distressing and upsetting. It's best to make sure that they know that they have a 24/7 support system and that they can ask questions if they need help or are stuck on how to shift into an entirely different person.
3. Identity ‧₊˚⊹‧₊˚⊹
Help them look at terms for genders, orientations, etc to help them figure out what to identify as while turning into this new and improved version of themself. Use their interests and features to find neopronouns that they could possibly use. Browse multiple communities beyond gender and orientation; such as the nonhuman community.
4. Avoiding ‧₊˚⊹‧₊˚⊹
Help them avoid things that relate to their source such as others from that same source, content from that source, etc. Specify publicly that people should avoid certain topics and that it could harm their recovery progress. If people insist on interacting with you and bringing up the source, immediately block them; If they can't acknowledge boundaries then they won't be acknowledged at all.
Hope this helps!!! If anybody needs any specific tips, I'm more than happy to help as your Tumblr big brother(s)!!!!!!! My inbox and messages are open 24/7 <3

I have no idea where else to turn but here, sorry if this isnt at all the kind of ask you want to recieve
I just recently split and I'm scared and confused and nobody is answering my messages so I dont know what to do. So. If there's any good tips for new alters to figure stuff out that you know of I'd love to have them.. I need to ground myself somehow but I cant think of any good ways.
hey, hey. Don't worry, you're allowed to vent about anything here, you're all good. I know this was sent about a day or two ago, but I'll still try list what I know. Or more like what we usually do, these may not work for everyone and that's okay, you just may need to try find other ways to calm yourself in that case. (Though a lot of this is sort of assuming you know what's happening, as we don't tend to get alters who don't and when we do we don't usually remember what happens when they front)
Usually we try do something we enjoy, this only really works when there's someone else with the new alter or when the alter knows something they enjoy doing though, but it does help to distract us and calm us down sometimes
I know you said no one is replying, so I'm assuming talking to someone is out of the question, so instead I recommend trying to write. Sometimes it helps get your thoughts out and helps process them. That way you can work through them
Sometimes if we're trying to figure out who or what we are we'll scroll through photos on Pinterest to see if something catches our attention and gives us a connection, this usually helps with fragments who may connect to specific images as an identity or for new alters trying to find faceclaims, or even new introjects who don't know their source yet, ect.
I'd recommend looking around to see if your system has a journal of some kind or anything that keeps information about it, as it may help you understand yourself and the others a little easier.
Even just doing things like breathing exercises, listening to calm music or cuddling up to a teddy/relaxing in bed could help. (The last part generally is more to feel safe and protected, but again this is more of our own comfort)
Also for trying to find names for yourself, if you need that, we usually just search up "NPTs" or "name lists" and scroll through, if you have specific themes in mind for the name you want you can search that up too. We usually do it on Tumblr but you can do it just on Google itself
I can't really think of much else to suggest, as we don't usually do all too much to calm ourselves, we just try to get as distracted as possible, so theres not much we can recommend, but we do hope you manage to ground yourself somehow and that you feel better soon 🫂

Writing tip: if it feels like one of your characters just doesn't have enough going on in their arc, ask yourself if this problem would be fixed by them discovering that they're actually a system. Or by them becoming a system – either works. Plurality is a surefire spice of life in stories, after all!

hi, separate anon here! i’ve been considering coming out as a system, but i’m worried about being fake claimed. do you have any tips?
OMG???? I don't think I've ever gotten an ask like this before??? I'm honored! Handling fakeclaiming online and offline may be very different, so keep in mind that I'll mainly be talking about online fakeclaiming!
Who fakeclaims?
Anti Endos, Sysmeds, and anyone associated with r/systemcringe are all groups who are based around/on fakeclaiming. Anti Willogenic/Tulpa stances as well.
Prevention
It's important to note that it is NOT your fault if you get fakeclaimed. You shouldn't make yourself palatable for ANYONE. If you follow this advice and you still get fakeclaimed, that is not your fault nor will it ever be your fault. Truth is that you can never truly prevent being fakeclaimed since fakeclaiming is apart of ableism. You will be fakeclaimed because people are ableist, NOT because you're too much x or not y enough.
Block the following tags:
anti endo
future is singlet
endos dni
non traumagenic dni
any variants
Remember to block as you encounter
Id recommend surrounding yourself with people who support you and really curating your own experience would help a lot! Any negativity you may experience gets drowned out easier when you remember people like you.
Dealing with Fakeclaiming
Being comfortable in what being a system means to you helps a lot along with being confident on why you use the labels you do (if you use any). If the building is sturdy, no storm can knock it down completely!
I get fakeclaimed on a pretty much near basis because I don't like sugarcoating how much I love being a plural system. When I'm fronting, it's super easy to brush off because I'm sure of my reasons for why I make the posts I do and why I use labels like endogenic, attengenic, etc!
But also keep in mind your own limits. It's okay if fakeclaiming gets to you or makes you feel unsure. You're not weak or any less of a system for being affected by it. If dealing with Fakeclaiming wasn't tough— and it IS tough— then people wouldn't be worried about subreddit and cringe comps.
Laugh at fakeclaiming when you can. Make a joke out of hate anons because let's be honest, you might get some...interesting ones
Remind yourself that your plurality isn't commentary on others experiences. Sometimes you hate something about being a system someone else loves and that's okay! Sometimes it's vice versa.
Remember, Fakeclaiming is ableism , it's also ultimately denial. Fakeclaiming exsists to shut people up about their experiences, especially if they think it's out of the norm or what is considered "healthy" or "okay". Fakeclaiming with never be righteous
And if it turns out you're not actually a system or don't consider yourself one or you want final fusion, that doesn't mean they're right! The experience was still real and so was your experience as a system.
And when you can't handle it on your own, talk to friends or family or anyone you trust really. Join a system community on Tumblr and post about your worries there if they allow it! It's okay to get bothered or upset
Best of luck, dearest anon, I hope you decide whether or not coming out is right for you🩷🩷🩷 no matter the decision, I'm sure it'll be wonderful 🩷🩷🩷

transhospitalized tips?
~ siick-bunnii
You wish is our command!!!
Doctor Yami here! I'll help you out for sure bunnii!
Tw for repeated talk of physical illness, mental illness, mental hospitals, hospitals, medication, misuse of medication, fake illnesses, pills, syringes, & similar!
Transhospitalized Tips!
[pt: Transhospitalized Tips!]
Make your room very plain & very white.
Wear loose night-gown esc clothing whenever you can.
If you can, order cotton hospital nightgowns.
Collect empty (or full) pill bottle and put them on your nightstand, you can also go this with syringes.
Fake getting into sewing! This way you can collect needles to decorate your room with to further a 'hospital' kind of feel (you can pretend their needles for stitching up injured patients.
Complain about pain where ever and whenever you can!
If you can, make yourself a fake IV to place by your bed!
If you're old enough, go to the hospital and claim your su*cidal, this will get you a temporary room and transferred to a mental hospital, which can still be affirming.
If you're not old enough, get your parents too.
Stop having regard for your own safety, start doing reckless things! You might get injured and admitted to a hospital.
If you have a friend that's up for it then have them pretend to be your doctor or nurse, they can come to your room to check on you or you can act like your at their office for another check-up and they can tell you your hospital stay has been extended or extended indefinitely.
Watch TV shows that take place mainly in hospitals (Ex. Grey's Anatomy, Dr. House, etc.)
If you can, take medication (even if you're not really supposed too).
If you're in school then fake illnesses and take trips to the Nurse's office often.
Subliminals, always and forever! We didn't expect to, but we actually found some playlists for you: [1] & [2].
Also, while we don't usually suggest this, go find some infamously bad subliminal accounts, as in people claim they put neg. affirmations in & have caused sicknesses!
Oh, and since I'm TransDoctor and your TransHospitilized and I think it's be affirming for the both of us:
Your hospital stay has been extended!

₊˚⊹౨ৎ ₊˚⊹ “ What does this plural term mean? ”
˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗ Have you ever wondered what [insert plural term] means? Well, I’m going to explain terms within the plural community for you. Ask if you want any other terms added/want advice for something/want a further or more thorough explanation.

₊˚⊹౨ৎ ₊˚⊹ Inner system terms
˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗ Headspace; the home base for everybody in the system. It can be a single area, multiple areas, original, fictional, connected by portals, etc. Anybody and everybody in the system can access this space unless frontstuck or headspace doesn't exist. Headspace can be created by the core or headmates.
˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗ Siasystem; a siasystem is an umbrella term for a subsystem or sidesystem, regardless of which one they are, how they formed, how they function, etc.
˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗ Subsystem; a system within a system, which is typically caused by a headmate unintentionally or intentionally forming their own headmates. A subsystem can also just be headmates who are doubles, have split from the same headmate, or are from the same source and decided to label themself as a system.
˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗ Sidesystem; a sidesystem is a system that isn't within the original system but rather exists as a separate system or exists beside the original system. They can be connected through headmates or not connected at all and simply formed by themself. They can also be subsystems that prefer to be labelled as separate from the original system.
˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗ Dormancy; dormancy is when a headmate/s enter a state of inactivity/sleep. This can be randomly or caused by something and they can be brought out of dormancy.
˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗ System collapse; when a system ‘collapses’ or something happens that makes the headcount drop. Often, headmates are ‘locked off’ or go into dormancy. Stress is one of the things that could lead to a collapse.
₊˚⊹౨ৎ ₊˚⊹ Roles
˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗ Core; the core is the original personality or rather the first being to occupy the body before the system.
˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗ Host; although most people assume the host is the core, the host is simply the headmate that fronts the most. There can be a host, multiple hosts, or no host–Every system is different.
˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗ Co-host; the co-host is the headmate/are the headmates that front the most behind the host/most frequent hosts.
˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗ Gatekeeper; gatekeepers manage who has access to fronting, memories, certain spaces in headspace, or headmates. Gatekeepers can manage all of the above or certain aspects.
˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗ Protector; protectors protect the system in certain scenarios. The types of protectors include physical, mental, emotional, social, and verbal; they can be a protector of all, certain things, or one thing but across the board, they will front in scenarios that they're supposed to protect the system from.
˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗ Syskid; system + kid = syskid. A kid in the system, which can depend on what age the system considers to be a child/little.
˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗ Systeen; system + teen = systeen. A teen within the system, between 13–17.
˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗ Caretaker; caretakers are like protectors but they care for the system instead. They can care for the system physically, mentally, and emotionally or only care for one aspect of the system.

Hygiene Tips and Information Post
Hello! We are the Starfall System. We wanted to make a big post about hygiene tips and information for anyone who may find it useful. If you wonder why we use plural pronouns it is because we are a system, AKA multiple people sharing one mind. We use "we" to refer to ourselves throughout this post. If you want to learn more about it, you can read about it here: More Than One
In this post we are going to talk about things you can do to keep your body clean and healthy. Not everyone have access to same resources and information, hence why we decided to write this post. It will include information regarding how many times you should wash certain areas, how often you should change your sheets/underwear, Tips and tricks for disabled/spoonie folk, Health information for Trans Folk and many more. First of all, we would like to remind everyone that not everyone has the same ability to access certain hygienic products or perform tasks to keep themselves clean, and they shouldn't be ashamed because of it. This post is simply for information and should not be used to invalidate anyone's lived experiences.
Second of all, please do not start any unrelated conversation and/or debate, including syscourse. Thank you. We aren't doctors and this post will not be exhaustive list of everything, we can get things wrong or missing. If you have anything to add/fix, we would love to talk about it and add to this post ^^ Soo.. Let's begin! BODILY HYGIENE Showering should be done at least once a week, or every few days, depending on weather. You can shower everyday too, but it may cause your skin to dry if you don't moisturize your body. A general rule for cleaning anything is its cleaned from top to bottom. Hair/Face should be washed first, then the rest part of the body.
Do not use plastic shower sponges/loofah for showering. They trap moisture inside and become a growing ground for bacteria. Use natural fiber loofah's; they are environment friendly and exfoliate very well. Change your loofah every 3-4 weeks.
Scrub in circular motions. Wash every curve of your body. Feet and armpits may need more work to clean and get rid of smell. After shower moisturize your skin.
If you use deodorant make sure it doesn't contain heavy metals.
Choosing right shampoo is important to avoid hair damage. Please try to go for shampoo without silicone, parabens and sulfates as ingredients. You can find more detailed information regarding what to avoid in shampoos here . Also learn about your hair type here so you can pick a shampoo according to your hair type. If you struggle with keeping your hair healthy, consider seeing a dermatologist.
Clean your beard every 2-3 times a week at least, use a shampoo and if possible, a conditioner. Brush your bread.
Clean your genital area gently with unscented soap and water ONLY. Do not use any sort of "special product for genitalia" they are a scam. You only need unscented soap and water, gently wash it with your hand and if you have a vagina make sure you aren't washing inside of it- vaginal canal can self-cleanse and you shouldn't disturb the natural vaginal flora or you can get infections. Lips of a vulva needs thorough cleaning to avoid buildup along with under clitoris's hood to avoid buildup of smegma. Learn more about cleaning your clitoris here
Don't forget underneath foreskin of your penis. Gently clean the testicles with unscented soap and lukewarm water.
Wash your anus and general back area with water and tissue after every poop. If you don't have a bidet, you can also wash with wet wipes. But only use baby wet wipes without alcohol and fragrance, others can irritate the skin there.
Wash inside of your belly button when you shower. Use a mild soap and water only, rinse the insides of belly button and dry it including the inside of it to prevent moisture. Cut your nails every week if you intend to keep them short. If you want to get them longer, make sure to clean under the nail to prevent any buildup.
Your toenails needs cutting once a month, do not cut them curvically, cut them with a straight line to avoid infections/ingrown nails. You also need to clean under your toenails, especially corners.
Clean your ears every few days, including the curves and back of the ear. Do not use q tips for cleaning ear wax, it will cause damage to the ear and only push wax more to the inside. Learn more about how to clean and prevent earwax here
Wash your teeth correctly at least twice a day after meals and don't forget to wash back of your teeth and your tongue. (watch this video to learn how) Use a floss. If you have braces you can also use a small braces tootbrush to access inaccessible areas. Change your tootbrush every 3 months or so. Go for gentle bristles if you have sensitive gums. If you have consistent sensitivity with gums, contact a dentist.
Wash your feet every time you come back from outside. It doesn't matter if you wore shoes or flip flops, with shoes you have pretty much no airflow so bacteria can grow and cause smell. If you wear sandls or flip flops the general dirt that elevates from the ground will get on your feet. It is best to use a soap for washing your feet to avoid odor and ensure that its clean. Dry your feet to avoid fungal infections.
Wash your hands when you come home, before and after using bathroom (washing your hands before is good for avoiding harm your genitalia) Wash your hands before and after food. If you cannot wash at least use a wet wipe or hand sanitizer, and then wash as soon as you can with soap and water.
When using razors or shaving use a shaving cream/gel, shave to the direction of where hair grows, not against it. When shaving your pubic area try to go slow and pull your skin taut. Moisturize afterwards.
If you want to wax, check this tutorial
Do not use hair removal chemicals/products that arent genitalia safe on your pubic area.
CLOTHING HYGIENE
Change your underwear every day. No ifs or buts.
If you have vagina and you detect any different/intense odor or different textured/colored discharge, keep an eye on it for a few days. If it does not change or get worse with other symptoms such as pain, contact a gynecologist immediately. It may be an infection. Information regarding discharge can be found here
For trans folk who use a binder, wash your binder at least once per week (or more if needed) Do not put it in washing machine, hand wash only.
For people who wear bra's, try to wash them after every 2-3 uses. During summer you may sweat more due to bra and may need to wash it/change it more regularly.
Wash your bedsheets every week. Your pillowcase being dirty may be the cause of your pimples.
Change your socks after every use. If you think it is not "dirty enough" or you just briefly wore them, don't put it in the same place as your clean socks. Keep them seperate.
Plastic clothing such as polyester and naylon can and will absorb sweat and stink more than natural fibers such as cotton or viscose. Try to avoid that type of clothes for daily usage.
Clean your eyeglasses, especially parts near your ear and nose. They get buildup in tiny spaces.
Use a shoe deodorant if you want to avoid shoes smelling. Try to change the shoe you wear often. Do not get cheap shoes if you can and do not wear tight shoes often, they can mess your feet's shape and health.
MAKEUP HYGIENE
Clean your brushes every few days or after every use. Use a shampoo instead of a soap so it won't hurt the bristles. Use lukewarm water and try to get into the bristles. Don't let them stay with moisture to avoid bacteria from forming and put them somewhere warm to dry quickly.
A general rule that can be applied to products: if you can use it on eyes, you can use it on other parts of your body.
If you can use it on your lips, you can use it on other parts of the body but not on the eyes.
If you can use it on your face, you can use it on your face and other skin areas but not your lips or eyes. There are some skin products such as foundations you can also use on your lips.
If you can use it on your body, you shouldn't use it on your face.
This rule is not always true but it usually applies to a lot of cosmetics.
Use 50 SPF Sunscreen, especially for your face. If you can't get a high quality one still get the best one you can because an average sunscreen is better than no sunscreen.
Don't sleep with makeup, clean your makeup before going to sleep. It can clog your pores, cause eye infections, and more. For cleaning your makeup, you can use makeup cleansers, makeup cleaning oils, or makeup cleaning wipes. Pick those that don't irritate eyes or harm skin in long run.
Try to not get any makeup product in your eye, if you do get any, wash it with water for a while. Don't rub your eyes.
If you use lipstick, use a lipbalm or lip moisturizer before the lipstick to avoid chapping.
For piercings, talk to your piercer about how to keep it clean. It depends on the piercing regarding how often you need to clean it.
There is probably a lot i don't recall to write it here at the moment since i don't do makeup often, so any and every kind of suggestion is appreciated.
DISABILITY HYGIENE TIPS
For lovely disabled folk, your best is enough. Doing whatever you can is always better than doing nothing, do not worry about it being perfect or not.
For those who cannot stand upright for long period of time in shower, a stool or chair is very useful. You can also get long showering brushes or hand shower cloths/mitts for accessing unaccessible or hard to access parts of your body. Picking a scent-free and sensitive bodywash/shampoo may benefit you a lot (personally we can only use sensitive bodywash because our body gets red and swells with any other bodywash)
If you find it hard to wash your teeth, you can use mouthwash, it is better than nothing. If that is too much, you can chew a minty gum for a while to get rid of mouth smell.
Foam grip tubes can be used to grab things more easily.
If you can, use smaller bottles for your shower to minimize energy usage to handle bottles.
If you cannot shower/wash your face/use deodorant, you can always go for wetwipes. There is zero shame in that. You can also wear clean clothes after wet wipes to avoid getting dirty for a while longer.
You can also use dry shampoo for your hair to go longer without showers.
If you find it hard to wash your hair along with your body, you can try to wash body and hair seperately.
Try to be careful washing around your ports or any other health related objects on your body. Ask your doctor about how to keep it clean. Better be safe than sorry.
If you can't use nailcutters you can use emery boards to trim your nails.
It may be hard to change sheets every week, you can put sheets on top of each other when you have energy so you can just strip off old sheets on top and have clean sheets. This way you can get time from once a week to once two weeks. We sometimes use this when we are low spoon.
If you have ADHD, trying to start tasks may be difficult. Try to do smaller tasks before big tasks to gain inertia. We sometimes pour shampoo on our dry hair if we cannot shower, so we eventually want that shampoo out of our hair and get into shower. Or sometimes we simply put our clothes away and try to get cold, so a warm shower gets easier and more pleasant to have.
If your mental health takes a dive and you find yourself unable to perform tasks, reaching people and asking for help is always and always okay. Don't be ashamed of needing help, it is a normal part of life everyone eounters.
I found this website that goes in detail regarding different tools for using during showering.
Any and every tip from disabled people to add to this list is very appreciated <3
TRANS HYGIENE
Already talked about binders there in clothing section ^ just a reminder :)
To trans folk who start HRT and have a second puberty; it is incredibly normal to have body odor changes, especially on your private area. I know quite a few ftm folk advise to shower frequently once people start T due to excessive sweating. A deodorant change may be needed. Your hair type may also change, so maybe changing your shampoo can be a good idea as well. Don't shame yourself and try your best to keep yourself clean, moreso than anything, enjoy your transition !
For checking ingredients of any product, you can use these websites:
Cosmily
INCIDecoder
CosDNA
They may not be totally accurate, but it is best to have an idea about than none.
Aside from all those, for every and any product you put on your body, best advice comes from your doctor/dermatologist.
Any and every kind of correction/suggestion is appreciated! This post is far from finished and we would love to add more.
If in doubt/pain, contact a health professional immediately!
Lastly, fuck Trump. ^^
