☁︎。⋆。 ゚☾ ゚。⋆ how to resume ⋆。゚☾。⋆。 ゚☁︎ ゚
after 10 years & 6 jobs in corporate america, i would like to share how to game the system. we all want the biggest payoff for the least amount of work, right?
know thine enemy: beating the robots
i see a lot of misinformation about how AI is used to scrape resumes. i can't speak for every company but most corporations use what is called applicant tracking software (ATS).
no respectable company is using chatgpt to sort applications. i don't know how you'd even write the prompt to get a consumer-facing product to do this. i guarantee that target, walmart, bank of america, whatever, they are all using B2B SaaS enterprise solutions. there is not one hiring manager plinking away at at a large language model.
ATS scans your resume in comparison to the job posting, parses which resumes contain key words, and presents the recruiter and/or hiring manager with resumes with a high "score." the goal of writing your resume is to get your "score" as high as possible.
but tumblr user lightyaoigami, how do i beat the robots?
great question, y/n. you will want to seek out an ATS resume checker. i have personally found success with jobscan, which is not free, but works extremely well. there is a free trial period, and other ATS scanners are in fact free. some of these tools are so sophisticated that they can actually help build your resume from scratch with your input. i wrote my own resume and used jobscan to compare it to the applications i was finishing.
do not use chatgpt to write your resume or cover letter. it is painfully obvious. here is a tutorial on how to use jobscan. for the zillionth time i do not work for jobscan nor am i a #jobscanpartner i am just a person who used this tool to land a job at a challenging time.
the resume checkers will tell you what words and/or phrases you need to shoehorn into your bullet points - i.e., if you are applying for a job that requires you to be a strong collaborator, the resume checker might suggest you include the phrase "cross-functional teams." you can easily re-word your bullets to include this with a little noodling.
don't i need a cover letter?
it depends on the job. after you have about 5 years of experience, i would say that they are largely unnecessary. while i was laid off, i applied to about 100 jobs in a three-month period (#blessed to have been hired quickly). i did not submit a cover letter for any of them, and i had a solid rate of phone screens/interviews after submission despite not having a cover letter. if you are absolutely required to write one, do not have chatgpt do it for you. use a guide from a human being who knows what they are talking about, like ask a manager or betterup.
but i don't even know where to start!
i know it's hard, but you have to have a bit of entrepreneurial spirit here. google duckduckgo is your friend. don't pull any bean soup what-about-me-isms. if you truly don't know where to start, look for an ATS-optimized resume template.
a word about neurodivergence and job applications
i, like many of you, am autistic. i am intimately familiar with how painful it is to expend limited energy on this demoralizing task only to have your "reward" be an equally, if not more so, demoralizing work experience. i don't have a lot of advice for this beyond craft your worksona like you're making a d&d character (or a fursona or a sim or an OC or whatever made up blorbo generator you personally enjoy).
and, remember, while a lot of office work is really uncomfortable and involves stuff like "talking in meetings" and "answering the phone," these things are not an inherent risk. discomfort is not tantamount to danger, and we all have to do uncomfortable things in order to thrive. there are a lot of ways to do this and there is no one-size-fits-all answer. not everyone can mask for extended periods, so be your own judge of what you can or can't do.
i like to think of work as a drag show where i perform this other personality in exchange for money. it is much easier to do this than to fight tooth and nail to be unmasked at work, which can be a risk to your livelihood and peace of mind. i don't think it's a good thing that we have to mask at work, but it's an important survival skill.
⋆。゚☁︎。⋆。 ゚☾ ゚。⋆ good luck ⋆。゚☾。⋆。 ゚☁︎ ゚。⋆

An open letter to everyone who knew/respected my mom and who still supports T*ump and voted for him.
Tumblr media
--
Sometimes it feels weird to sit with a small form of happiness that my mom is gone and she doesn’t have to experience the current state of the world. There should never be any reason to feel happy about that, right? The pain I feel on a daily basis without her is something that will never go away. So, maybe what I’m really feeling is peace. Peace at knowing that her pile of struggles would only have gotten larger in the current administration. Peace at knowing she doesn’t have to deal with it.
But I know that some of you woke up too late or worse, still haven’t woke up at all. And I know that she would not have stayed silent. So, I’ll speak for her and maybe, just maybe, it’ll sink in.
When I was 11 my mom and Grandma were in the front seat, Jake and I in the back. A homeless man was asking for money outside of Farmington Walmart. Mom got out her wallet and pulled out a $10. She handed it to Jake and rolled down his window, “would you like to give this to that gentleman? Make sure you say ‘hello.’” Jake, about 4ish, dutifully nodded and leaned out the window, handed the man the money and said, “Hello, sir!” Mom smiled. We drove away. My Grandma grabbed her hand and said “I can’t believe you just did that! Trish! What if he spends it on booze?” (This is not throwing any hate at my grandmother, this was the late 90s/early 2000s and times were different, and she too learned from this experience.) My mom said, “Lower your voice, mom. And so, what? He is a person. My children are nothing but love. He has struggles we know nothing about—maybe Jake’s smile and basic courtesy will remind him that he isn’t alone.” Grandma backed down. Mom looked in the rearview mirror and said, “Kids listen to me, being poor is not bad. Being poor is not anyone’s fault. We have to take care of people who are hurting. That’s what Jesus did.” Jake and I nodded.
Shame on any of you who want to take away welfare and programs that take care of people when they are hurting.
When I was 13, my mom worked at The Baptist Home in Ironton. She had me apply and interview for a volunteer position. I was to read to residents and paint their nails, fill their ice, etc. Because my mom worked in the locked ward with the patients that needed specialized care, they told her that “I couldn’t volunteer back there with her because most of the residents were amputees, blind, had visible illnesses and it tended to scare children.” My mom said, “She’ll be fine.” She sat me down and explained, “You know mom is a pretty good nurse, right?” Me: “You’re the best nurse.” Mom: “Well, sometimes that means my special skills are required for people who need more help than others. If you have any questions or see anything that confuses you, promise we will talk about it, okay? We are here to take care of people.” I volunteered there until she left. I read to and made books on cassette tapes for a blind woman who always wanted to hold my hand when I read so I used my nose to turn the pages. I brought blackberries to a man who was a double amputee from the knees down and talked about wars that I knew nothing about. I painted nails for the ladies that sometimes forgot where they were and called me by the wrong name. I dabbed the chins of the men who sometimes drooled or got food on their cheek because they could no longer hold a fork. I never felt scared when they would moan in pain or cough. I was there to help people.
Shame on any of you who would vote to or stay silent when they gut Medicaid or Medicare or any of the health services that vulnerable people desperately need to continue to have their right to dignity.
When I was 16, in the span of 2 weeks, I was humiliated, and my education was interrupted twice because of things outside of my control. I was removed from an exam because my picture day shirt was “too revealing”. It was a V-neck that was picked out for me by my grandmother, but as a girl who has had D-cup breasts since she was 12, when I bent over to pick up my books, a teacher complained that my chest was too distracting. A TEACHER. I was 16. I was a minor. Fast forward a week later, I was pulled out of a second exam because my period was so heavy and I was not allowed to go to the bathroom, so I bled through my pad, through my jeans, and onto the desk seat. My mom showed up at the school furious. She made me wait outside while she spoke with the principal. All 5’2” of her. In his face demanding to know why my dignity and education were not being protected against my own body. Why he felt it was right to not stand up for a little girl under his care and why the school was hell bent on shaming women. When I graduated Salutatorian, mom said “You should wear a v-neck.” I knew the reason why. I wore a v-neck.
Shame on any of you who don’t listen to women. Shame on you who don’t protect women. Shame on you who put a CONFIRMED SEXUAL PREDATOR in office.
When I was 21, I came out to my family. I trembled on the couch with my head buried as my mom stood in the kitchen on the phone. I could hear my dad screaming. He told her, quote, “she was a bad mother for choosing to support this. She was a bad mother for being okay with me being a disgusting abomination.” Her voice never waivered as she said, “I choose OUR daughter. Day in. Day out. Every single time. Without fail.” He told her that “God would remember her complacency in my sins.” She scoffed and said, “The God I believe in will see a mother who loved her child and a father who turned his back. Goodbye, Tony.” It was the first time my mother ever hung up on my dad. Even through the divorce. She looked at me and said, “My children are not negotiable. And they never will be.”
Shame on any of you who allow this administration to get rid of DEI, of Pride, of LGBT Heroes, of minority’s histories, of SUICIDE HOTLINES that children like me DESPERATELY need when the people they love turn their back.
My mom was a nurse for 25 years. Ten years after her death I still get messages from people thanking me for the time she took care of their sister/wife/mom/child/you name it. Shame on any of you who are complacent in our country's continued funding of genocide. Shame on you who watch videos of parents picking up PIECES of their children in a war zone and have the nerve to say, "BUT HAMAS..." I don't give a single fuuuuuuuck. My mom would have grabbed her stethoscope and booked a flight.
If you’re still reading this post, thanks for listening. Maybe this will help some of you, maybe this will help none of you. It makes me no difference, but it had to be said. I’ve realized that I’m not at peace because my mom doesn’t have to deal with the current state of things because she couldn’t handle it. No, absolutely the opposite. My mom could handle anything. I’m at peace that my mom didn’t have to live through the heartbreak of watching people she called friends/family prove just how little humanity they contained all along.
I love you, mom. I'm so thankful that I was raised by you so that I could one day be strong enough to withstand all of this. 💜

Tumblr media
[It is January of 2022. I’m entering a wing of the DC Office site that looks older than the others. The carpets are a strange brown, vintage looking, and the lighting casts an almost yellow pallor over the wood paneled walls. I can practically smell the cigarettes. I pass by an empty room labeled “social media office” - boxes piled up by the door. Maybe they’re going to be using it soon. They’ll need it.
I approach a door labeled Necrocommunications, knock lightly twice, then enter.
I am greeted with the sound of a voice drifting softly across the room. A few chairs and tables sit around me, the same vintage style as the hallway before, the same browns and yellows. A high desk is across the room, and a woman is seated at a control panel. She has black curly hair, done up in an old fashioned style, a polka dotted blouse, and though she’s facing away from me, I can see the edges of cats-eye glasses.
The panel she’s working at is huge, and resembles the type of switchboards they used to use in the ‘50s, dozens of physical wire connections crisscrossing the device and attaching via plugs. The woman has a headset, one ear covered in a bulky speaker, with a microphone near her mouth. She speaks casually, with an incredibly heavy New Jersey accent.]
I] Oh, him? He’s circled, babe. Taken as hell. Mhmm. And he still asked you? Ain't that a bite. So now you know he’s out of the question and yarding on. Dodged a bullet, hun.
M] Irene?
I] Oh, god, hold on. My appointment is here. Yeah. I’ll call you later, beautiful. Caio.
[She hung up the call, taking her headset off and turning to me. She looked like she was straight out of my grandfather’s high school photo album, including the color. Her skin was almost grey, it was so pale, but she didn’t seem like she was sick. She looked me over with a smirk and a raised eyebrow, leaning forward on her desk.]
I] Well, hello Miss Meghan Hendricks. What can I do for you, sugar?
M] I’m here to interview you for my audit, Ms Donofrio.
I] All business, aincha?
M] This is my job.
I] ….yeah, you’re right. Sorry. I don’t get cute visitors much.
M] Right.
I] Pull up a chair, hun.
M] I’ll just stand. This won’t be long. I came here because of your Occult Communication Tools poster.
[She sits back with a dramatic sigh.]
I] Yeah, took me forever to convince them to let me do that. We had agents using spirit boards, pendulums, casting runes, tarot cards, ghost boxes, all kinds of shit they brought from home. Bought from Walmart, or worse, a thrift store. I was always telling them, honey, baby, you gotta use our stuff, we maintain it, we disinfect it of ectoplasmic residue, lockout-tagout procedures, the works. It’s so, so unsafe to use anything but our tools. Sure, you gotta do paperwork when you check it out, but it’s better than somethin’ following you home…
M] Right into it, I guess. That’s what Necrocommunications does, right? Talk to the dead?
I] You bet, sugar. The dead, demons, angels sometimes when they ain’t on our plane or in realspace. Other little spiritual twerps and bugaboos.
M] I’ve been asking this a lot in the last few months, but…you can do that? Consistently?
I] Consistent enough to make it worthwhile. S’not perfect. Fails most of the time, depending on who you’re calling.
M] How so?
I] Well, some people don’t wanna be called. Some people are chatterboxes. We got a list of likely contacts who we suggest people contact, but…we do other people sometimes, too. Always worth a shot, I say.
M] How does it work?
[At that, Irene winced slightly and wagged her head from side to side.]
I] We got theories, but more importantly we got procedures. We know different things work for different people. Sometimes it’s cultural. The method that contacts Mr Smith may not work for Mr Chan, y’know?
M] It’s mostly for information gathering, then. Like the Board of Infernal Affairs.
I] Information gathering’s a big part of it. Someone died with a secret? See if they got loose lips now. Also, y’know, helps with hauntings or gettin’ rid of little jerk spirits.
M] You mentioned disinfection….
I] Yeah, yeah, there’s….risks, y’know. Sometimes the person you contact ain’t a fink, you know, and they start a whole new haunting. Sometimes one spirit’ll lie and say they’re another. Then they follow you home, start leeching your energy. Happens less when we cleanse the tools. Which is why there’s procedures for this, and every Office staff member in the building is trained on at least the basics.
M] Is it….is it only for Office personnel? Is it something I could…
[Irene’s face grows into a playful smirk as she hears the hesitation in my voice, leaning her face in her hand.]
I] You got fifty cents?
[She leads me into a back area of the office. Lining the walls in storage containers are row upon row of spirit boards, each box with a paper listing the dates each was used and then cleaned, along with the name of the person who did it. There are other items, too - pendulums, bags of runes, spirit boxes like you see on ghost hunting shows, and other devices and artifacts I don’t recognize. Irene’s attention, however, is on a phone booth at the end of the room. It’s clean but battered, clearly old and used. It has no door, but an open front, and above the phone itself is a depiction of a figure on a boat, with one word beside it: “Charon.”]
I] We confiscated these in the 80’s. It’s easier to use this one than have to sign out spirit board, y’know.
M] Weren’t you just complaining about that?
I] I complain about a lot of things, sugar.
[I approach, standing before the phone in disbelief. Irene senses my hesitation.]
I] Put in the money, then use the keypad to type out the person’s name. It’ll take it from there. Who you gonna call? Grandma? Mom?
M] My brother.
I] Ah. Shit, honey.
M] He died in California. Two summers ago.
[As I reach for the receiver, I see Irene’s face freeze in some sort of concern.]
I] H-honey, that…was he in—
M] Yes.
[I put my hand on the receiver, and I feel her hand on mine. She’s cold. She’s so cold and clammy that I jump slightly and look her in the eyes. Her face is sorrowful and scared, searching me.]
I] Honey…you won’t be able to—
M] You said—
I] If he was in…there’s no one there, sugar. He’s gone.
M] I know he’s gone, but you said I could—
I] No, no, he’s…if he was…he’s gone, gone. There’s nothing left of him. You can pump quarters into that thing all night long and you won’t get anyone.
M] H…how? I was…I was on the phone with him when it—
[As I watch, her eyes go wide, and she covers her mouth.]
I] Th-that’s how you remember, isn’t it? Thought you were just…in the Office but you hadn’t known about…that’s how you remember.
[I let go of the receiver. I can’t feel my fingers. I’m shivering, but not from the cold.]
M] I know how I remember. What I want to know is why everyone else forgot.

THE INTERVIEW — EPISODE 001 of 'UNTITLED BURGER SHOP AU'
[ ellie williams x reader ! oc ]
ᡣ𐭩 .ᐟ thanks to joel, ellie finds herself as the manager of Miller's Grill. five months in, ellie sorta has the hang of it. basically tlou ii modern au where ellie, dina, jesse, and abby work at a burger shop (chaos ensues). heavily inspired by the series minimun wage by american high !
ep 001 — ellie's tasked with interviewing a new hire to work as the kitchen assistant.
a/n ughhh this is so fun to write. don't ask about any lore and plot holes because i will not be thinking about world building that much cuz im writing this purely for my own amusement LOL
EP 002
"so, uhm..." ellie looks through her notebook, looking at some of the questions she wrote down last minute, realizing they're all... shit. she had used chatgpt to help her write some questions because she forgot to prepare before hand. she picks the most sensical one out of all the options. "have you worked in food service before?"
liv shuffles in her seat, "well, uhm... no, not quite—"
"i-it's fine if you haven't, i mean, i still don't know how our toaster works." ellie chimes in, seeing that she was a bit nervous. it was also ellie's subtle to be funny, but it just left her a little confused. "nevermind, continue, sorry..." she mumbles, looking down at the notebook again.
liv nods, "yeah, no, i haven't worked in these kinds of establishments before — but, but i promise i'm a quick learner!"
ellie starts to think on the spot for more questions, her notes not helping a bit. "say that uhm... a customer's yelling or whatever, what'll you do in that situation?" she says, hoping that it makes sense enough.
"smile until they stop?"
"huh. terrifying." ellie huffs, "you'll fit in." she says jokingly, before moving on. "why do you wanna work here?"
"... so i can have money for walmart?" liv says truthfully. when ellie looks at her for a moment, trying to process that, liv realizes that that maybe wasn't the answer ellie's looking for. "uhm... to.. for the love of service...?"
"... yeah, good enough for me." ellie shrugs, "do you have any references?"
liv thinks, not really having anything prepared because she didn't really know what it meant. "no, i like to form my own opinions rather than use references..."
ellie's brows furrow, "w-what? oh, oh no... i mean like... people you used to know that can vouch for you?" she tries to clarify, realizing the misunderstanding.
liv makes a hiss sound, "uhm, i dunno. i don't think my ex would say good things about me-"
"no, i mean like... bosses. co-workers." ellie clarifies once again.
"she did managed a vape shop..."
ellie nods, giving up. "i'll just put 'good' under references."
ellie closes her notebook that was of minimal use and looks up at liv. "well, that's pretty much it for me... i guess — if you have any questions, you can let me know."
liv's eyes widen, "did i... did i get the job?"
"uh, yeah!" ellie nods, "just... just don't tell abby it was that easy."
liv, in no way thought that the interview was easy. "oh-wait who's abby?"
"the assistant manager, mostly head chef though. she's kind of like the scary team mom."
"oh... okay." liv smiles, looking around at the place she's going to be working in. "seems like a great team you got going on!"
ellie chuckles, "yeah, we're like a family here. but like, the type of family to forget your birthday and try to put something shitty together last minute. and it ends up with someone breaking a bone at the end of the day."

another update on my life:
so remember how i had interviews a while back? will tell you one was with walmart. most unprofessional "interview" ever. it wasn't even an interview, he didn't ask me a single question. and he wasn't even told he'd be interviewing me until five minutes before. all he did was tell me the job and then basically said that i'd be getting a response and a job offer within a week. left kind of weirded out but hey i need a job. walmart ghosted me entirely, i'm pissed off because i could have spent that week applying elsewhere but since he said i would get the job i obviously wasn't.
had another interview at a different store, went much better. and she almost said the exact hour i can expect a response on whether i got the job or not, and apologized because it will be a little delayed (she normally works weekends but is using pto this weekend, i absolutely understand and she didn't have to apologize at all). i appreciate that she would commit to getting back to me by a certain day. & it was an actual interview where she asked about my previous experiences working and my schedule and informed me of pay and shifts and introduced me to the supervisor of that department & all sorts of reasonable things for an interview. so yeah monday i'll hear back from her. wish me luck!
still am sending out applications hopefully something turns up.
otherwise i'm doing good, just a bit drained from the stress of this crap

Some interesting things that happened while I was dressed as Barbie at work today:
Upon showing up I heard my coworkers start with the “carlieeeeee omg! Not WEIRD Barbie!”
My manager printed me a name tag sticker that said weird Barbie on it
A woman pointed at me and said “look x it’s Barbie!” And a little boy ran up and hugged me (he was dressed up as a scary skeleton)
A lady?? Said “can I ask a weird question?” And I said “yeah, I can give you a weird answer.” And she goes “can I like buy?? That outfit off you?” And I just. Looked at her and said “uuuuh I’ll need it for my body but I’m glad you like it!”
Someone asked me if it was a political movie. I said it’s a Barbie movie.
Called my coworkers Barbie, and Ken, respectively
The coworker dressed as Steve Jobs was i Ken, sometimes STEVE Ken
Steve Ken and I kept pretending to interview each other.
“Barbie, don’t you think saying Barbie world, IN a Barbie world, is redundant?”
“Steve, I like the extra clarity. After all, lots of Barbie’s out there, don’t want them confused, so it’s good to be straightforward!”
“Uh huh…and where uh- *looks around* ARE these other Barbie’s?”
“In target, Walmart, and toys r s!!!”
“Oh….sorry Barbie, but, toys R us is dead.”
“Well, so are you Steve.”
When I saw manager Barbie, I would stop, and go stiff limbed then make squeak noises while walk.
*to my non binary coworker* “wait a minute, YOU aren’t a barbie! You’re the secret third thing! GASP. Hi Allen!” *waves*
NtA (Non-binary to Allen)
By the time I left, I got everybody in that god damn retail store saying “BYE BARBIE!! BYE!!”
except Steve Jobs, creator of iPhone. Steve Ken was upset I wasn’t closing :/

Wrote this a little while back. Didnt post it bc I didnt want to create drama. But as Im currently sitting on a plane about to leave for Venice I decided, fuck it. I'm gonna post it now.
And then turn on flight mode so I can miss the reaction to it lmao.
Enjoy.
Okay, I have to get this off my chest because it's been bugging me for a while.
First of all, the idea that any blog on tumblr would have legitimate insider-info on a celebrity is absolutely ridiculous. That's the first point I want to make. Please explain to me why PR teams would be going to one of the lesser-known/popular social media sites to spread info they want out there? And if they don't actually want it out there, why leak it? And if they do want it out there or at least some details, why not go to actual magazines or SM accounts with huge traction like DM?
Second of all, why would they then, after leaking said info, ask the recipients of it to NOT share the details.
Who benefits from that? What is the point?
I beg you, please open your eyes. If you're being sent "info", it is because whoever sent it to you wants you to spread it, in the exact manner they're informing you to do so.
That is when you're supposed to question why? Why are they sending this? Why are they sharing it with you and only you and then asking you to not relay any details about said info, but only to leak the info itself?
Why would they do that? What would the motivation be?
Could it perhaps be because this info is actually being planted in your hands as literal free PR, for whoever said info benefits? AKA if you've received tips in the past that turned out to be true, who did those tips ultimately end up being about? Who did they end up pushing or benefitting? Why are you not receiving tips or info that relays to who it was actually meant to be about, but instead on content that actually gets spun around to be about someone else?
Could it perhaps be that the reason it's being sent to a tumblr blog and not a more reputable source like DM is because it may not actually be factual, but it'll create enough buzz for someone in particular to spread it on here, and that way there won't be repercussions in the media if it turns out to be false?
If you're receiving info or tips on content that ultimately gets spun around to be about or centered on AB (because the fandom and also yourself is perpetuating that) then you must be able to realize who is sending you info. It's coming from the person who is benefitting from it. That is perhaps the reason why you're receiving tips that can be spun around to be about her, but not tips that has nothing to do with her (AKA Walmart event or podcast release or Jinx interviews, etc)
Please. Please please please. Take a look and consider why you're being sent this. Please consider who is sending it. Please consider who benefits from it.
Whether you have the info or not, please be rational. Because it might not turn out to be real in the end (we'll see). The point remains that someone wants this info out there in the manner it's being leaked and instead of just doing whatever they want, we should instead question why they would want that in the first place.

*Introducing .. The Interview “method“ ( This is something random I started doing a year ago people probably have already been doing this but this is just something I like doing as a confidence booster and it also helps with living in the end. You could act as if you’re being interviewed or as if someone is asking you questions about your desires. And I call it the interview method because I normally act as if I’m being interviewed)*
* this is a drafted that I made at 4 in the morning a few days ago, I don’t feel like editing so sorry for any mistakes in advance *
How to do it:
You act as if you're being interviewed, And describe yourself if you already have your desired appearance. Act as an interviewer were asking you questions about yourself and describe your desired appearance. Get lost in your imagination. Describe How you look from head to toe, How it feels to be a beautiful goddess or king and how people always stop and stare at you and how people always drop to their knees in the middle of walmart because your so damn beautiful 😂, Go as far as you want and enjoy every moment of it. And most importantly, FEEL IT REAL. While you’re describing yourself close your eyes and see yourself as the version of yourself that your describing and feel it. See people telling you how beautiful you are, See people falling in love with your beauty, and once you open your eyes, Know that it’s already done. You are already the version of yourself that you imagined it’s already done! This could also be used for money, houses, cars, anything really!
I’ll add 5 examples below ✨
Example 1:
“ How do you like the new house ? “
“ I love it, we literally have a huge pool out back. I love the new marble floors. My new house is so huge it’s crazy! I literally get lost in it because it’s so huge. I love my new room. It’s so comfortable. My room is so warm and welcoming “ and so on ..
Example 2:
“ What do you plan on buying with all that money ? “
“ I’m going to spending all this money on a new “ …. “. I’m so proud of myself for manifesting all this money I can’t wait to spend it on a new clothes and shoes. I’m going to buy a new car with all this money I manifested. I’m so happy I manifested all this money I don’t even know where to start with buying stuff it’s just so much money “
Example 3:
“ How do you like your new job ? “
“ I love my new job it’s so much fun and I don’t have to do any work at all, it’s like I get paid just to sit there. I love my new jobs, I make $*** a hour for doing literally nothing. My new job is so fun, I’m so glad I work at “ … “. My new job is literally the exact job I wanted. “
Example 4:
“ How’s school going ? “
“ School is so much fun, I have good grades and all my classes are so much fun. School is never boring for me, I enjoy every minute of it. I made so many new friends, school is the best. “
Example 5:
“ How do you like the new car ? “
“ My new car is so nice, it smells so good. My car has every detail I could imagine. My car is literally so clean and luxurious. “

I made a little bit of a whoopsie last night and impulsively applied to be an online order filler at Walmart (very out of character for me, but the application was stupidly simple, basically just filling out your name and hitting submit) and now I have someone from Walmart calling me, asking if I want to come in and interview tomorrow, but uh here’s the thing, I don’t. I don’t actually think having a minimum wage job would necessarily be a good thing for me. I think it would stymie whatever effort I’m putting into looking for a job more in line with my training and skill level. Another reason I submitted the Walmart app is because they said they’d contact me via text or email and I was like ok, if I decide not to do this when they contact me in like a week (not the next day!!!!) I can easily send a quick thank you gif your time, but I’ve accepted employment elsewhere email. But I’d have a harder time doing that over the phone. My question, can I just ghost? Never respond to the call, never go in for an interview? I mean, I know I can, I didn’t sign a contract, but would I, a 32 year old woman, get in trouble

Next Movie:
Tumblr media
— I will say this tho - I'VE never watched it before but I'm really hoping it has a happy ending because if not I'm going to be so bummed out about it because I just want to watch happy rom-coms, low budget romantic movies, or wholesome movies in general!
Last TV show: I haven't watched a show all year? whoops. I re-watched Loki season 2 so maybe that counts?
Sweet/spicy/Savoury: SAVORY but I love all three
Relationship status: I am unfortunately Single 🫤
Last thing googled: (my city) weather
Current Obsession: hmmm- don't really have one to be exact. I knowwwww, BORING. WAIT, ah but this is more for the bottom question: chocolate covered big red delicious apples
Looking forward to: visiting Washington and maybe also Michigan next year!! 🌲🍂🍁🌫️
Another more like now-ish? Yesterday I called my local Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and talked with the owner if I could bring two of my own Red delicious apples and they could make it into a chocolate covered caramel big red delicious apples? And SHE SAID YES. So I drove to Walmart, bought the apples then drove to the place that's like 15-20 minutes drive and she was gone by then but her employee called to confirm and BOOM. I have reserved two chocolate covered caramel big red delicious apples 🍎! I know I'm a loser but I've been craving how that would taste like because I DO NOT like granny smith apples 🍏! I'm kind of excited about how sweetness over sweetness is going to taste like!! I picked them up tomorrow because today they told me on Yesterday that Thursday, today, they do the caramel prepping and what not. I'll post it tomorrow with thoughts/quick review even though no one cares haha.
Another thing I'm looking forward to is this Monday I have an in person job interview to a better paying job and I'm so freaking nervous about it but I really really hope I do well 🙏🏽 any good vibes even through the thoughts is and are appreciated.
I rambled like a fool, but thank you for your patience 😊😊
Thank you again for the tag!!!
Not tagging anyone but if you see this and want to do this as well, please tag me so I can read your responses!! I give you my full consent to tag me as an excuse to partake in this!!

Hihi!!
About the Metal Hammer magazine, it seems to be a SUPER leek. Seems to be a later this month issue, OR December issue. It’s REALLY EXCITING. I think this one might be available in stores?? I can find older issues on Walmart but idk if it’s like. Second hand sellers, I’ll check next time I go if they have them there. Their Twitter links to the site magazinesdirect . com so I guess we can get it there/that’s their seller?
omg okay you’re amazing for digging! i’m way too useless with technology to ever find things out until they’re officially announced lmao.
but yeah i’m losing my mind over the fact that he sat down and did a legit interview. i cannot stop thinking about what that’s going to be like, how does he speak y’know? is he as poetic as a person as he is in his lyrics? i need to know! also does this have any larger implications for the direction of the band? the music? the anonymity? oh i’m just burning with questions and i am legit not going to rest until metal hammer announces and releases!
(gonna edit this to say i have been informed there is no interview but my point stands that i desperately want to know how he speaks. don’t even need to hear his voice, but i need to know the how lol)

RANT !!! THIS IS A RANT !!!
Tumblr media
What was my birthday gift to myself? A job, apparently. Recently got a job at Walmart as a stocker (yipee!)- been working for a week, I think? It's pretty weird and new. Honestly thought I wasn't going to get the job bc I got so nervous during the interview, I couldn't even answer the first question I got. Anxiety sucks balls.
The job is okay, nothing really upsets me except the palette jacks. I swear those things hate me! I accidentally rolled over my foot once, they're stupid hard to steer. I see my coworkers handle them with such ease, and like- hey! Gimme your power. I'll get good eventually- That and socializing. I'm not good at talking to people
At orientation I was put stocking clothes, mostly pants- I didn't like folding, suck at that, but I liked finding out where things went and making them look neat. Honestly I hope I'm not put with apparel again. During training I worked on the paper towels and tissues, which was fun. I watched as someone took one and left it on the floor at the other end of the aisle. Oh! and I found a Pokemon card underneath the shelves.
I noticed I'm poor when I comes to helping the costumers find things- I know I shop there, but...idk where shit is tbh! Someone asked where the meat sticks where- Kabobs- and I was of no help. Found them the other day, they're in the party sections!! The party sections!! No way I would've guessed that! I actively dread the first and last hours of my shift bc I hate saying "idk" to people.
At the moment, I like the sections I've been assigned to. I'm in the art, office, and party section (yay!)- Love paper... and yarn! A few things I remember, I had two items so far I had trouble lifting. Now I'm not that strong, I sit on my ass all day, but I figured it out. The first was those bulk of computer papers, crushed my finger, terrible first impression. I didn't want to ask for help, don't like asking for help, but I did manage to lift it with my knee.
The second was this safe- lucky for me, someone left a rather ominous cart in the middle of the aisle, so I used that to move it. Honestly thought I was gonna break the cart, it was one of those small ones.
Other things uh... a weird looking bug came out of one box. Got scared and killed it with my box cutter. Didn't find anymore so I wasn't concerned. I almost fell off the topstock ladder bc it started rolling suddenly, so now I shake it before stepping on. My new favorite phrase is "I love gutting boxes!"
Overall the job is pretty nice, I'm always on the move. I made my goal of 25 Km in Pokemon Go so ig that says something! I always have this goofy smile on my face, so that’s good. I love that I'm alone for the most part, and I feel very satisfied when I can solve problems on my own. And oh boy, I can't wait to get paid! I wanna buy...fnaf stuff.. Youtooz Mxes figure... Hex Withered Freddy... !!! Uhh Mario Partyy!! cool stuff like that lmao
The only downside is not being able to draw and watch youtube 24/7, but I'll work around that, quite literally. Upside is I can listen to music
Okay I'm bored of typing, goodbye.

In my experience the types of job interviews are
1. twenty to thirty minute interview at like a side table or a bench outside or whatever where they ask you the same three generic questions from the same worksheet that all hiring managers seem to have
2. "Hi! What was your name? Oh okay. You're hired! :)" (<- this is the worst job you'll ever have)
3. The manager and the assistant manager take you to a tiny back office room to interrogate you like a murder suspect (<- this is for a walmart)
