I, Naki of @valkyrthra, declare a nið, challenge those who have been picking ᚾᛁᚦ apart my friends, family & community here on tumblr. A nið, in old Norse / Viking culture, was a declaration of a Flyting Senna. Let's see how good your knowledge is to pick a part people's knowledge of the Sagas, stories, lore & mythos fairs again me, since you seem so proud of your knowledge of the Norse Mythologies that you feel the need to come on to other's blogs & nitpick minor details. Details that you corrected that didn't needed correcting, factually, regardless of IF the muse was altered for someone's own universe that you have ZERO say in. You in the cases that I am aware of, you have been factually WRONG.

-Flyting for those who do not know. Flyting or fliting (Classical Gaelic: immarbág, Irish: iomarbháigh, lit. "counter-boasting") is a contest consisting of the exchange of insults between two parties, often conducted in verse. (Wiki) Or in other words a battle of wits & insults using poems. In other words, & this is NOT my words but still describes it pretty well, its a Viking Rap battle.

Okay by the rules flyting, I have declared a challenge, now to issue ᚠᛚᛁᛏᛁᛜ the terms. The rules of the dual are

That it has to be poetry done in HISTORICAL Viking metrical principles, but in English.

It has to rhyme at least every other half line.

Insults to each other are accepted & in the true spirit of flyting is encouraged.

You can keep your anon status, my anons will be off, but you will be considered dishonorable by Viking cultural rules. If you chose to stay on anons then I will be posting the responses. You may do the same.

We will each do one Ljóðaháttr (ᛚᛃᛟᚦᚨᚺᚨᛏᛏᚱ), song meter, consisting of two sets of 3 lines but the first two lines are half lines. Below is clippet of the Lokesanna from the Eddas as an example of what I am describing. Thorpe's Translation Lokesenna 1a.) Hail, Æsir! 1.b.) Hail, Asyniur! 2a.) And ye, all-holy gods! 2.b.) all, save that one man, 3a.) who sits within there, 3b.)Bragi, on yonder bench x2

A cross between a cackle and a giggle came out of Jubilee as her new friend Anya called her out on picking a venue of combat that suited Jubilee more than Anya. Jubilee rolled backwards in her laughter, balling herself up as she rocked back on her hips and grabbed one of her knees with both hands, before letting go and holding her heart dramatically like she had been shot. "A'right, ya got me." Jubilee chuckled out as she rocked herself back up to a sitting position, crossing her legs in an almost Lotus sitting position. Jubilee was having a blast with Anya. Sure the girl seemed a bit uptight at first but boy did she let loose once she was having fun and then she became a blast to hang out with. Jubilee was glad that Anya let down some of those barriers around her, it felt special. Most important thought Jubilee was so overjoyed that Anya was having fun, more than even what her new friend had stated. Jubilee could see it, it overflowed from Anya, the joy and the fun that she was having. Good. Jubilee mocked a shocked face, like she was aghast with what she had just heard. She giggled then steeled her face to one of focus or determination. "A'right, If ya think ya got what it takes, then bring it on, girl!" Sliding her transparent pink sunglasses down to show that she meant business, Jubilee focused on the screen, intently and got the game ready to start. Jubilee glanced over and started at Anya out of the side of her eye, smiling at Anya and her cute face. When Anya glances at Jubilee, the gamer-girl playfully winked at Anya and smirked, before turning back to look at the screen again. "Ya ready t' get yer butt kicked again?" Jubilee playfully teased.

"  i'm  starting  t'think  you  picked  gaming  cause  you  know  you'll  win.  "    it  wasn't  meant  to  be  a  jab.  it  never  was  when  it  came  to  jubilee.  she  was  too  chipper  about  everything  to  get  too  sour  with  her.  even  if  anya  had  been  raised  in  an  environment  where  good  sportsmanship  wasn't  encouraged.  as  a  matter  of  fact , that  hadn't  been  part  of  her  way  of  existing  until  she  came  here.  she  may  not  like  being  away  from  her  parents , but  after  the  time  she  had  spent  here  already ... it  was  clear  that  being  here  was  doing  more  good  than  it  was  harming  her  emotionally.  even  if  she  was  reluctant  to  admit  it.

her  ability  to  lose  still  needed  some  work  though.  made  obvious  when  she  dropped  the  handheld  controller  into  her  lap  after  yet  another  lost  match.  this  videogame  bullshit  was  bogus  anyways.  everyone  knew  things  would  have  been  way  different  if  they  were  in  the  danger  room.

that  disappointment  in  her  loss  was  short  lived  though.  reaching  for  her  open  can  of  surge  she  merely  rolled  her  eyes  as  her  smirk  came  back  to  her  features.    "  you  were  right  though ... it  is  fun.  "    and  once  she  could  perfect  her  method ... she  was  gonna  wipe  the  floor  with  her  new  friend.  once  she  put  the  can  down , she  picked  up  the  controller , and  buckled  back  in  for  another  match.    "  lets  go  again!  i  wanna  be  able  t'beat  your  ass  by  the  end  of  the  night.  "
