Someone gifted me a copy of Ancillary Justice as a birthday gift and I just aaaah! It's so amazing. It can be a little hard to read at first, but once you get past figuring out the lingo, it's an amazing ride. If you ever wanted a book that's Star wars, but without the space wizards, AND the storm troopers are the main characters, AND full of poc characters, and the main character is nonbinary? This is the one.

Update: A friend is going to give me their old tablet! I'm so grateful and blessed to be surrounded by such kind people. I'm going to be crocheting him a hat in thanks.

Things have been getting better. I got payed, but it's going to be another paycheck in two weeks before I can afford the next vet apoinment. Hopefully it can wait until then.

For people that don't know, I live in Texas and we've been hit with a historical snow storm. I had to go out in the freezing cold the other day to take our cats to the vet because of a slight emergency. The trip took a huge hit to my funds, like a $400 hit. I have to take my cat Ginger back again because he has problems with his thyroid but idk how I'm going to afford it. I don't know if I can handle another vet bill and still feed myself right now.

I had planned to do art this month and post, but then my mom started to teach me to crochet. Of course I'm addicted now. I'll probably be back when I run out of yarn to play with, possibly sooner if I get a commsion.

As protests continue all across the United States remember that it IS okay to protest at home. If you are disabled or ill or cannot go out and physically protest for another reason PLEASE do not feel guilt. You can be just as active from your home by doing things like: Sharing BLM posts, sharing posts on how to protest safely, sharing posts about medical resources in your area for protestors. You can also educate yourself and others. Amplify Black Voices, and donating to bail out funds or other foundations. Do NOT feel bad if you can not physically join the protests. You CAN still stand with the movements.

This is what I've been working on for the last four months! I've finally gotten to the point where I can start drawing the rough draft for my comic! The working title right now is Magic is Canceled!

I don't understand why it's so hard for people to understand that my brain translates agresion into physical pain. So if you yell near me or say mean things, even if it's not directed at me, my muscles are going to clench real hard and squeeze me to death from the inside.

And when I ask people to DON'T DO THAT, they do it anyway, like yesterday, when a now ex-friend decided it was okay to use acusitory language and attack me when I asked them not to.

If this pain doesn't stop soon I might have to go to the emergency room. I'm just hopping that's not the case because I don't have the funds for it. It's not helping that my family is also screaming and attacking me verbally because they also don't understand or care.

I have no idea if I'm going to make it though this year, and we're only a week into it.
