Little layout for my characters and their apartment. It was kinda relaxing doing this, I had fun. Also, the floor in the living room is not green. It's wood. The color just represents the wall color. Same goes of the bedrooms—but those colors represent the characters. Not the wall colors.

Random fact: I debated putting a balcony at the end of the hall, then just scratched the idea because I decided it was useless.

I think my favorite thing about Would You Fall in Love with Me Again is after Odysseus' whole thing about being a horrible man—no longer the one he was before war, Penelope is just like, "Okay, well, since you're definitely not my husband, take that wedding bed there, and take it out of here."

Odysseus, reasonably, questions what the fuck she means by that because the bed it literally the tree and has to be cut to move it. He literally takes offense to the request.

And she, like a boss, is like, "Well. SIR, I don't hate to inform you that only my husband knew that. So that means you are 100% my. Husband. You little shit."

In essence, it's like saying you don't know someone, and they ask you a question that you have a 50/50 chance of getting right. And when you answer correctly, they're just like, "Yeah, you know me. You're mine. Always have been. Always will be."

This queen had set an impossible challenge for the suitors to determine a new husband, but this oddly specific but in a way simplistic request and Odysseus' reaction determines her final judgement.

I don't think it'd be too difficult to figure out the wedding bed is carved into the olive tree. But it's so stupid it rounds back to being an amazing declarative message of 'it doesn't matter how small or how big this detail is, the fact that you know it and it's origins is enough to tell me you are the person I truly love.'

And I just love how Ithaca is built around that tree. No shit. The main room of the palace is not the throne room or any kind of council or dining area, it's their bedroom because the olive tree is there. That kingdom is literally built around love.

Odysseus: I'm not your husband you once loved...I've done things I cannot come back from. But I need to know...if you had the chance to do it all again, with the knowledge of what will transpire, and what I'll do, would you fall in love with me again?

Penelope: Well...if you're truly not my husband, then can you do me a simple task?

Odysseus: ??

Penelope: That bed, Points to the bed, stares him dead in the face, serious as shit. Move it. Lift it. And. Move it.

Odysseus, shocked and hurt: What....what do you mean 'move the bed'?! I can't 'move the bed', it's carved into the olive tree where we met! I have to cut it! Are you mad?! What does that even have to do with anything??

Penelope: Erm....well, ack-chu-ly! ☝️🤓 Only my husband knows that. So by my calculations, you must be my husband.

Odysseus: ...

Penelope: Ily, bbg. :)

Odysseus: Immediate crocodile tears. Oh my gods, YOU DO STILL LOVE ME.

I made the sketch then put black lines in areas to look like shadows sorta. Kinda how comics and whatnot will use black for shadows. I don't really like it much.

And then I made two versions with a noise layer. One with the black shadows and one without.

I like the first vers with noise layer best.
