i want you (shes so heavy) - abbey road

the bassline in this song has like crack in it or something because HOLLYYYY FREAKK paul mccartney what magic did you put into this song….. i can listen to this for 2 months straight its THAT good

2. if i fell - a hard days night

a classic as always… also a mclennon classic but thats besides the point!! its a really cute song and you can never go wrong with the lennon/mccartney harmonies

3. i will - the white album

this is a newer favorite of mine actually bc i heard these lyrics a while ago and couldnt find out what song they were from for the life of me.. BUT I FOUND IT AND I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!! its so sweet and i always really like all the paul songs where hes singing quietly (this, ht&e, junk, yesterday, etc)

4. oh! darling - abbey road

ok i said 1 song from every album but i cant leave this out i actually ADORE this song!!!!!! and im also so biased bc this is one of the first basslines i learned as a newbie bassist and my favorite 💓george harrison💘 is on bass for this song and pauls pounding on the keys i really feel that in my heart (and also mclennon again… i swear on my life he says “oh johnny” at somepoint)

5. when i’m sixty-four - sgt pepper’s lonely hearts club band

im completely biased to this song because it has my beloved instrument the 💖bass clarinet💕 in it but its also really endearing to here the naivety in pauls lyrics (from when he was 14) and to think of paul now whos 83

6. here, there, and everywhere - revolver

like what i said for i will, quiet pauls songs have a place in my heart (but i also clearly love loud screamy paul) and again #mclennon (sorry not sorry) the lyrics are so sweet and soft its like you can imagine the environment paul wrote this song in

7. p.s i love you - please please me

THE FIRST BEATLES SONG I LISTENED TO!!!!!!!! absolute banger idc what anybody says and now i put this p.s at the end of every letter i give to someone i love

8. michelle - rubber soul

i think the french is fun and im also a hetalian so this is very fruk coded and again the bassline… literally all basslines rubber soul and beyond are practically god tier work from (mostly) paul

9. let it be - let it be

..this is an oddly specific reason for this song but the way that paul says ‘mother mary’ with his vibrato in this song IDK IDK ITS JUST SOMETHING ABOUT IT

10. penny lane - magical mystery tour

this song has a really nice walking bassline and the music vid is kinda silly theyre just walking around and i have good memories walking around liverpool along to this song!!

11. yesterday - help!

literally who doesnt love this song????? its one of the first beatles songs i learned on guitar and its literally a classic.. no notes its perfectly sad 10/10

peak song from an underrated album tbh one of their best love songs from the early years and it has a good boogie melody to it with the backing guitars

just cause its silly and its true!!!! all you need is love peace and love and the instrumental is so fun too with all the fun instruments

do you know how DIY HRT works? do you know and have friends who don’t? do you know our history? have you read the works of james baldwin and leslie feinberg? are you equipped with knowledge about the forces that work against us? do you understand dialectical materialism? do you know what to say if stopped by the police? do you know what good opsec is? are your legal documents in order? do you know how to get them in order?

scream, cry, rot in your bed, do whatever you need to do to process this, then find something to do. do not fall into despair. in the face of extermination say “fuck you.”

The version of "maybe happy ending" you see in the U.S. will be released in 2028. Korea loves the original "maybe happy ending" the most, but they also love the version loved by you.
