Introduction
This is my first time using Tumblr... and blogging in general I guess. So I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm literally just using this space to spill my inner thoughts as a neurodivergent transgender man and maybe some people will find it relatable, or at least interesting if anything.
My name is Ash (He/Him). I'm 30 and I live in the Mitten State of Michigan. I was diagnosed with combined ADHD in my mid twenties, and then a lot of things started to make sense. I struggled a lot in school, didn't get very good grades. "Inattentive in class", "a distraction to others" read my report cards.
I am also diagnosed with major depression and sprinkle some anxiety on top of that. I am also in the process of being assessed to see if I am on the Autistic spectrum or not. Originally, I was absolutely ashamed to be diagnosed with ANY mental health condition. Oh my god, no one can know I have **whispers** d e p r e s s i o n **whisper** They're going to think I'm crazy. What if they find out I have a THERAPIST? I used to be paranoid someone I knew would see me in the waiting room. We still have a long way to go as a society when it comes to mental health stigma. People with mental health conditions are often looked down upon as less capable, less intelligent, or unstable, which is far from the truth. This space will be used for exploring my own mental health journey, and sharing it with complete strangers because "fuck it we ball" or whatever *shrug*.
I don't want to make this TOO long. This space will also be used to talk about political shit. Also trans/queer-related stuff, nature things I think are cool, idk I'm rambling, but that's the whole point of this fucking blog so ANYWAY. A little about me, I love traveling, road trips, skateboarding, arts and crafts, collecting rocks, being outdoors, and going to the beach. My favorite color is yellow. Follow me for more recipes
