Short Story - Zariel Wish Editors Note : When you lose your parents as a child, you are indoctrinated into a club, you re taken into life's severest confidence. You are undeceived. She wakes up every day with the hope that one day, the woman who abandoned her at the motherless babies’ home would appear and say to her, “Sweetheart, I am sorry for leaving you and I promise never to leave again.” Tears fell from her eyes as she imagined the impossibility of this as she was going to be taken to a new home, with new parents and possibly new siblings. Today marked 15 years after she was abandoned at the gate of the Motherless babies ‘home, the day her mom “knowingly” disowned her. She wept as she packed her things preparing for the journey out of the four walls of the Motherless babies’ home to a new environment. The Atkinsons, the family to take her had already arrived. A man possibly in his late 40s and a 23 year old lady. The owner of the home gave them papers to sign to make the “adoption” official. Zariel walked in to sign her part of the papers. She waved goodbye to all her friends and tutors. She wept as she got into the backseat of the car and waved frantically at her “old family”. She sobbed bitterly. She hadn’t said a word to her new family members, she just kept mute throughout the ride. Days turned to Months, Months turned to Years and Zariel grew up to be a very beautiful young lady. Her foster parents adored her and likewise herself. She had two older siblings, biological children of Mr. and Mrs. Atkinson, two men. The first one named George, who was well-off and a very serious business tycoon and the other one, Mark, who also had things going well with him, he was a successful lawyer. Zariel couldn’t wish for much, she had a wonderful foster family but she still had that longing in her heart that peradventure, she met the woman who gave birth to her; she would ask her why she abandoned her. She completed her education and became a young successful entrepreneur. She, like her foster brothers, became quite successful. Continue next post #black #orphan #family #writer #story #adoseries

She studied Real Estate Management while in college. One day, she was driving in her sleek, black Ford SUV and was deep in thoughts when she splattered water on a man. She stopped the car as the man, who looked 60 and above, yelled as the muddy water splashed on him. She quickly stopped the car and ran across the road to the man. She begged him frantically to forgive her as she was lost in her thoughts while driving. She offered to help the man. She decided to stop at a café. They got into the cafe and Zariel still apologized. She asked him what his name was and he said Trent. He went further to say that she looked so much like someone he knew. Zariel asked him about his family and he stared at her knowing with certainty that he has no one to call family, Zariel asked again, he was reluctant to answer but Zariel’s face reminds him so much of his wife, so he kept his foot down and told her about his family . His wife had gotten pregnant and they found out it was twins. He didn’t have the resources to cater for twins. The day his wife fell into Labour,he couldn’t even take her to the hospital to be delivered properly. He had to call for the services of “experienced” women in that field. He further said that the moment he saw his kids, he really wanted to keep them but his money had gone under. He and his wife sadly decided to give up one of the twins for adoption. He mentioned their names, Zane and Zariel. Zariel choked on her coffee as she stared at the man before her. “Could he be her….no? No!!No!!!” She thought as she dropped the coffee and asked him which of the twin was given up for adoption and the man replied confused, “Zariel, the girl.” Zariel let all the tears she had bottled up inside to surface. She told him that she was Zariel Trent and she was given up for adoption when she was merely a year old. Trent apologized profusely and Zariel forgave him. Zariel went back to tell her foster parents that she had seen her biological father. They were happy for her. Trent and Zariel grew closer day by day, rekindling father-daughter bonds that were lost over the years. Conclusion next post #black #orphan #story #family

Conclusion - Short Story "Zariel Wish " Zariel decided to ask one day about her twin brother and mother. Trent told Zariel that Zane had died of a relatively bad heart when he was 9 years old. Trent explained that there was no money for him to be operated upon. Trent then spoke about her mother. He said Trent’s death affected her so much because she couldn’t have another child to overexpansion of her womb area. A specialist strongly advised her not try to get pregnant because there were lots of complications involved. She still felt guilty at abandoning Zariel at the Motherless babies ‘home. Trent said with tears in his eyes that one unfortunate day, he had gotten back from his usual daily hustle of sweeping other people’s compounds when he saw that the house was empty. He checked the room to see his wife’s pale body lying on the floor. He said he rushed towards her and saw that she had taken a full over dosage of drugs. She was out cold already. He became helpless and hopeless because clearly he had no family left. Zariel sobbed on hearing these sad tales. She made up her mind that she was going to make her father happy as long as it lasted. Zariel’s wish had already come to pass, though not the way she thought of it, but she still had her biological father, foster parents and siblings to be grateful to. #writers #poetry #zariel #melanin #black #Story #movie #orphanage

Short Article :Life *Life* 1. A guy met one of his school mates several years after school and he could not believe his eyes; his friend was driving one of the latest sleek Mercedes Benz cars. He went home feeling awful and very disappointed in himself. He thought he was a failure. What he didn't know was that his friend was a driver and had been sent on errand with his boss's car! 2. Rosemary nagged her husband always for not being romantic. She accused him for not getting down to open the car door for her as her friend Jane's husband did when he dropped her off at work. What Rosemary didn't know was that Jane's husband's car had a faulty door that could only be opened from the outside! 3. Sampson's wife went to visit one of her long time friends and was very troubled for seeing the 3 lovely kids of her friend playing around. Her problem was that she had only one child and have been struggling to conceive for the past five years. What she didn't know was that one of those kids who was the biological child of her friend had sickle cell and had just a year to live; the other two are adopted! 4. Life does not have a universal measuring tool; so create yours and use it. Looking at people and comparing yourself with them will not make you better but bitter. If you know the sort of load the chameleon carries, you would'nt ask why it takes those gentle strides. So, enjoy what you have and be grateful to God for it. Pass to everyone on ur list to learn from other's mistakes Not all that glitters is gold, live and be happy with what you have, everyone is going through one thing or the other, Be blessed. #morningmotivation #Motivation #life #article #pain #story

New Article : Power of Creativity. Editors Note : Whether we are aware of it or not ,whether we are in control of it or not ,there is a first creation to every part of our lives .We are either the second creation of our own proactive design ,or we are the second creation of other people’s agendas, or circumstances . The mind, soul, body came into existence through the multi-tasking mind of an innovating creator, we are created by a creator and we are created in his likeness so each and every one of us have a spark of creativity in us, we are to search the inner net of our minds to bring forth ideas to motivate and spark our smoke to become an in-consumable fire . we hoard our level of creativity with disbelief in achieving them ,the essence of our creativity gives us power-‘must influential people of this generation, created something that made them special ‘. Creativity is the ability to use your imagination to produce new ideas and make new things. Our economy today, faces a high level of unemployment with world bank data Analysis on the rate of unemployment rise to 25% ,what are these unemployed doing ?Are they the ones causing chaos to the country, as a result of their inability to get a job or inability of the government to increase the rate of employment in the country. Now most youth are found in this category, its proven that most unemployed are those ranging from the ages of 19-45years, but do we have to fall victim to this idle system. So many young people are waiting for some sought of special ordination to be handed over to them in other to achieve something meaningful here on earth . We live in a dark world, Daydreaming Horsing around, Aimless wandering, a sudden traumatic loss. So many things that seem to conjure an automatic, negative connotation can actually have an interesting–indeed, often positive–impact on our creativity but we end up doing about it. Article - Existence of God by @lee_obi . Editorial Note : The true measure of a believer is not by how well their sin is hidden or the amount of transgression they committed. I Know that before you begin reading this you may think that this is one of those elaborate advertisements for Christianity. And that our lack of understanding does not automatically constitute God. Incredible odds does not automatically constitute God. And that this text, ironically, illustrates the major problem with religion. That God is used as a catch-all to explain things people don’t understand or that seem too monumental. And that while science encourages research and increasing understanding and knowledge, religion simply says “God did it” or “God works in mysterious ways” and no further understanding or knowledge is gained. You may think that religion stops human advancement. When you fall upon the infamous quote “Religion teaches us to be content with not understanding how the universe works.” -Richard Dawkins. But you are wrong and I am here to prove the Existence of God believe it or not, humans are so egotistic in their way of thinking. They think they are always right and try to discredit what we choose to believe. We believe we are the center of the Universe, but when it’s convenient we say we just existing for no true purpose. We are just living to die. Why don’t we all just get along and stop trying to prove each other wrong. Humans will choose to believe what is more convenient to them because we all have free will. We all choose our own path in life which is no one Else’s life but our own. People are wrong to use religion as means to judge or criticize people who view the world otherwise. Likewise, people who don’t believe in God have no reason to say they are wrong because at the end of the day, nobody will know the truth until they die. The way I view life is that I want to live in peace believing that we are here for a reason. That we were created for a reason. We are something bigger than we all think. We were created with a purpose. Full Article in Profile. #happysunday #Sunday #Religion #God #article #poetry #writer #believer #Christianity

Poem - The Broken Heart.💔 Editorial Note : It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye. He is stark mad, who ever says, That he hath been in love an hour, Yet not that love so soon decays, But that it can ten in less space devour; Who will believe me, if I swear That I have had the plague a year ? Who would not laugh at me, if I should say, I saw a flask of powder burn a day ? Ah, what trifle is a heart, If once into Love’s hands it come! All other griefs allow a part To other griefs, and ask themselves but some, They come to us, but us Love draws, He swallows us, and never chaws: By him, as by chain-shot, whole ranks do die, He is the tyrant pike, our hearts the fry. If`twere not so, what did become Of my heart, when I first saw thee ? I brought a heart into the room, But from the room, I carried non with me; If it had gone to thee, I know Mine would have taught thy heart to show More pity unto me: but Love, alas, At one first blow did shiver it as glass. Yet nothing can to nothing fall, Nor any place be empty quite, Therefore I think my breast hath all Those pieces still, though they be not unite; And now as broken glasses show A hundred lesser faces, so My rags of heart can like, wish, and adore, But after one such love, can love no more. by John Donne.

Poem - The Pain of a black woman Photo Credit : @nai_sel Editors Note : A black never give up. For centuries the black woman has been demoralized then defamed. As well as watching her dignity being put to shame. She observed over the years her children being scold and sold. Then witnessed the killing of her daughters and sons as they were hung. She underwent much agony that burdened her soul. Yet she displayed strength of gold that keeps her mentally whole. Even through years of being discredited, she has been highly disgraced from others of the female race. She took on a lot of burden throughout the years with resentment of painful tears. As she was forced to give birth in the cotton field, then serve her master in his home while she left her children home alone. Her love for Christ kept her intact, yet her soul wanted to react because she was force to raise the slave owner’s child…pain of dislike continue to increase. In spite of all that abuse, her self determination and darkness of inner grief converted into light of a virtuous woman’s internal peace. Still the black woman’s spirit runs free and her bravery cannot be measured; which leaves her strength of beauty a mystery. Many ethnic groups try to explain the endurance of the black woman’s pain. She hides it with self-pride but deep in her heart the hurt of injustice continues to silently reside. She is a true treasure of life struggle that cannot be denied. Spiritual encouragement she possesses inside. Broken Love Episode 5- If you new, read previous episodes. Editors Note : In love there's always someone who kisses and another who offer the cheek. A fairytale love Nigeria Story. I was already in love with this baby despite Bola’s treatment. He came back quite earlier as I prepared dinner of Efo Riro and Fufu. (I am a good cook, thank you very much!) We ate with Bola and his sister chit-chatting heartily, when last did we talk like this? I thought. They finished eating and I packed up the plates to wash. After I was done, I went to the room, took a bath and dressed for the night. So I sat in bed using my laptop when Bola walked in yawning. He headed to the bathroom and shortly after he came back to bed and just lay beside me, ignoring me completely. I choked hard on the tears I was holding back and just shut down my laptop and slept off. That week, things were rough for me. I was close to my 3rd month and Sade was getting on my nerves big time! This fateful day, I got back and met the house in complete disarray. There were bottles of wine everywhere, wraps of cookies, dirty plates from that day and dirty clothes. I lost it! I hated dirt with passion! I shouted at her that day. She shouted back and called me names. She said one particular word which I hated to hear, she called me a slut and I slapped her there and then. She left off crying while I cleaned up the dirt for a good two hours! I hated being pushed to the wall but I guess my hormones also contributed. Sade didn’t come out again. I was still angry. I made dinner and then Bola returned. Sade must have called him to inform him of what had happened as he rushed into the kitchen shouting my name. I looked at him and answered a cold “yes”. Continue next post for conclusion of this episode. #Photooftheday #Photography #poetry #quotes #africanstories #adoseries #writers #writing #culture #tradition #love #black #africa #Nigeria Hate Adoseries.com

Poem - Days By Myself by @just.kossy Editors Note : At the innermost core of all loneliness is a deep and powerful yearning for union with one’s lost self. ~ Brendan Francis Day 19 She stood there at chapel’s door with earplugs in She stood there so long she didn’t how long it had been She hoped that friends come but they all passed by Without a word nothing; not even a wave or a hi They all said she should get over here I mean over to them Well she did: I wouldn't blame her she couldn’t see the pretend I watched as she struggled to belong She cared about what she wore and how her make up was wrong She lost herself in the abyss of friendship; deep She lost her heart in he river there I saw it sink I saw that girl as she battlef with complex She cried and bleed on the inside if I am being honest Maybe one day things would change that was her hope Hope came to her but she denied it and said nope Why do you have to come in my time of strength? What strength? Hope asked and she was keft With nothing else to say or to utter Sometimes she is like ‘Why do I even bother?’ Now she got something called a bioplar disorder No one even carws to know but she wears it like a collar So everyone can see, give puty and ask questions Because to be loved was one of her trye intentions Well all that is gone and she’s empty How do I know? Because I felt it Honestly I tried not to help it You know: not to be called selfish She’ll be fine as her conscience once said No! She’s fine and utterly mislead… JustKossy  16/11/2017 #poemporn #poemcommunity #poemasdeamor #poemsofinsta #poemsoninstagram #poemsporn #poemas #poem_bkk #poem #poème #poemsofig #poembkk #poemaday #poemlove #poemofig #poemsofinstagram #prilaga #poemlover #poemgasm #poemsoftheday #poem_pic #poemese #poemario #poemofinstagram #poemoftheday #poemaurbano #writers #adoseries

“Four years sir, just four years” Mr. Williams replied… “I’m impressed, I really am…. Not many people have the intention to see this organization get better, most are only here to get their purses fat, and their pockets heavy, but you have shown me what I long to see in every of my staff, and I only hope you won’t stop at this” He said. At the other end, Gabe was holding his phone staring at her picture and number and asking himself, “dude, are you sure you want to do this? You know you suck at this…” He couldn’t even sit, he kept pacing in his office thinking about her and what to do, and after a while he said to himself “well, there’s always a first time, and besides I’d better ask her how the meeting went” Back at Hermosas, Elena was about making her way outside the room after the meeting, then she accidentally bumped into Miss. Dora Wesley, the company’s international advert manager, who fabricated a fake smile and said congratulations as she stretched her hand to Elena, Elena shook her and said thank you ma’am, “don’t get your hopes too high, just lay low, do your work and don’t go beyond your bounds” Dora said to her as she walked away. Just as Elena was still trying to understand the meaning and the reason for such statement from Miss. Wesley her phone rang, it was Gabe, and she picked up the phone, she said “hey”, from the other side of the phone Gabe asked “how did it go? Tell me it was a success.” “Yes!!!” She exclaimed, the board members were pretty impressed, and Mr. Joaquin loved and approved everything!” She said, “Wow… that’s great news” Gabe replied, “You just won’t believe how excited I am” she told him, “well, how about you show me? I believe this calls for a reason to celebrate” Gabe said “Yes! It does!” was her response, “how about we celebrate it at dinner?” he asked, “Eerm… I’m not too sure about that, but okay no problem” she replied, then Gabe said “deal! We meet by 7 pm”, “alright, thanks” Elena replied. Gabe screamed and shouted “YES! Finally!!!!” after dropping the call, he was excited that he was going to be going on his first date.. #Anticipatenextepisode #TheTrain #adoseries #poetry #culture #mexico #playwriter #photography
