Commissions usually challenge me to create something I've never done before. It's fun because I get to work with a new subject matter in a myriad of styles and techniques. This is a brainstorm for an angel commission from a while back. This is not my normal subject matter so I was able to learn a lot about it and also develop different techniques. I've been very interested in blind contouring lately. It's really fun because there isn't pressure to make it perfect. Here is a sketch I did of one of the famous 88 temples on my island.
