Are there people around here who are actually defending Kilgrave, because I have seen numerous complaints about it, but no posts that fit the bill. I've seen people saying they think Tennant did a great job bringing him to life, which is true. I've seen folks say they like how disturbing a villain he is, that he's actually frightening unlike some MCU villains I won't name. There are those who say he looks good in his purple suits, which depends on what one finds physically attractive. I've seen the occasional 'I wish he would mind control me,' which is a fetish some have, so I'm not going to judge that. But I haven't seen anyone try to excuse his horrible behavior or say that he wasn't responsible for it. So where is this defense of Kilgrave going on? I hope people aren't just making up strawfangirls to rail against, or worse, misinterpreting someone who enjoys a good villain as a person who sticks up for them.
As an actor, what’s interesting is exploring the psychology of complicated individuals. There’s something of a challenge to playing characters that do terrible things, because you have to try and make a sense of that…It doesn’t mean that you agree with what they do, it doesn’t mean that you condone that type of behaviour, but there’s something in the mechanics of the acting challenge - er, well, it’s the challenge of that, trying to make sense of that, to understand what makes a psychology like that work, even if it’s a broken psychology and a damaged person, you’re trying to portray that as convincingly as you can.

Finally! I was waiting for someone to license this series. It's a great josei manga that should have been picked up for US release awhile ago. Beautiful artwork with an engaging story. Can't wait to buy official copies of this one.
