Justice League: Gods and Monsters
By Luis Valero-Suarez
Mary Marvel - An elderly civil rights activist, who, now gifted with the powers of SHAZAM!, is able to relive her youth and now fights and protects as a superhero.
The Element Woman - Dr. Barbara Ann Minerva, the wealthy heiress and archeologist, was part of an expedition to Egypt where, upon getting lost, stumbled upon the lost Orb of Ra. The strange artifact morphed her into The Element Woman and gifted her the ability to control the natural elements of the Earth.
Wonder Woman & Wonder Girl - Returning home to face her past, Wonder Woman finds Lashina, the last surviving Female Fury on the run since the Red Wedding, being hunted by Highfather’s regime. Wonder Woman intervenes and invokes a vow of eternal protection. Together, Wonder Woman and Wonder Girl will end Highfather’s war.
Green Lantern - Ma’alefa’ak, a white Martian who seeks to redeem himself after the death of his twin brother, J’onn J’onnz. With his new found Power Ring, he will protect those from evil’s might.
based on the Gods and Monsters version, but bulkier and with a less humanoid face, since he's a little more Man-Bat than he'd care to admit, and getting moreso every day...
Character designs for Green Lantern, Steel and Mary Marvel for the cancelled second season of Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles.
Bruce Timm had this to say at the time: "We're going to try to squeeze in as many new versions of characters as possible. We have Mary Marvel, a Pam Grier version of Captain Marvel (complete with lightning-bolt adorned dress, curves, and afro). Steel, who's nearly all robot, and a scary-looking alien Green Lantern"
Earth 3/God and Monsters Kirk Langstrom. To explain we took that version of Kirk to make Earth 3 hero Kirk. Since he already had a hero version we just spruced up his design. Which is a mix of 2004 Kirk Langstrom and the JL: God and Monsters movie.
So after watching "My Adventures with Superman" and "Justice League: Gods and Monsters," I had a thought. What if Hernan Guerra replaced Clark Kent here? I mean some elements would be iffy. Hernan's guiding ai would be Jor-El still. The incubator pod would replace the OG baby capsule design. In this verse though, I think Hernan might go to Metropolis merely to scope things out, working / adventuring his way through the U.S as he finds himself. I attached all edits I've made thus far! Which suit looks best? Do you think he'd stick with Kal-El's suit (since that's technically the only name he'd have since there's no recorded evidence of Zod doing his thing)? Maybe make his own as I've attached above?
I watched Justice League Gods and Monsters for the first time!! I think the concept is really interesting and they did a good job of switching things up. It’s so funny when you hear people call the main three by their super hero names (wonderwoman, batman, superman) and see that theyre not the trio you expect.
I also very much like Kirk Langstrom’s version of batman!! Vampire Batman?? That’s so cool! Now that i think about it, it reminds me of that one episode of Batman Beyond where Terry gets spliced with bat dna and he lowkey becomes a vampire. Ok enough rambling goodbye
