Underrated Heron Friendships!

Some underrated friendships from the brotherband and what they enjoy doing together! Some friendships are stronger than others in the books and certain characters are almost always paired up with each other (Hal and Stig, Ulf and Wulf, etc) so I thought it would be fun to look at other friendships! You don't spend years sailing in close contact with your crew unless everyone is tight with each other.

Stig and Stefan: they routinely beat up and take down bullies together! Muscle and mental warfare!

Lydia and Jesper: have an ongoing bet on who can sneak up on the other the most! Takes him hunting to improve his sneaking skills even more!

Hal and Edvin: can talk about maps for ages! Regularly gets into debates about the best kind of mapping techniques!

Ulf and Jesper: Jesper teaches Ulf how to make and break locks! Unstoppable crime duo!

Wulf and Edvin: They talk about the natural landscape of Hallasholm and geology. Edvin knows the specific names but Wulf knows where to find all of the rocks!

Stefan and Ulf: come up with the best stories and are masters of improv! Great at making hilarious cover stories!

Hal and Stefan: most likely to throw rotten fruit at a boat in the middle of the night or get thrown in/break out of jail! Stefan brings out an irresponsible side in Hal and he doesn't mind it!

Stig and Lydia: the most competitive people you will ever meet. Together they are unstoppable!

Ingvar and Ulf: they lift weights together and while Ulf cannot lift Ingvar, Ingvar can lift Ulf with about 100 extra pounds over his head. Ulf is getting closer though!

Wulf and Lydia: they go exploring around the streams and woods together! He shows her Hallasholm and she tells him more about Limmeat!

Edvin and Stefan: write amazing ballads together! The Mighty Herons is the first of many hits in Hallasholm.

Stig and Ingvar: the best sparring partners one will ever see! So equally matched in strength that people stop and watch in the streets!

Lydia and Stefan: race one another constantly! Stefan is faster at sprints but Lydia is faster at long distance!

Edvin and Jesper: slowly teaching Jesper how to cook stuff besides burnt meat! Edvin is the better cook but Jesper makes a mean cake.

Ulf and Stefan: regularly carve wooden figures together and give them to the kids of Hallasholm when not sailing! In a competition to see who can carve the most intricate figure!

Hal and Wulf: huge admirers of Erak's treasure horde and look at it together at least three times a year. Both enjoy looking at the fancy weapons the best!

Jesper and Hal: they both enjoy blacksmithing and making random things out of metal together! Hal learns more about the inner mechanics while Jesper learns about weaponry!

Hello, i was just wondering, in a modern au, what do you think each of the Herons would go to college/uni for? By the way, you are incredibly talented

Aw, thank you! I’m actually writing a college au right now and so here’s what I have them majoring in. I’m not completely sold on some of these, so suggestions are appreciated.

Edvin: Nursing, accounting minor (this is pretty obvious why)

Hal: Mechanical engineer with focus in marine work (so he can work on ships)

Ulf: Computer science, psych minor

Wulf: Computer science, geology minor

Ingvar: Sociology, geography minor

Stefan: Acting, english minor (Stefan would kill it in the theater)

Jesper: Business

Stig: I genuinely have no idea what Stig would major in

Lydia: Geography, environmental studies minor
