CHAPTER 236, Y/N GOJO.

SYNOPSIS: you’re Y/N Gojo, the second heir to the six eyes. Satoru is your older brother. You look just like him. (kinda bad synopsis but give it a chance)

A/N: wrote this in class because i literally cannot get chapter 236 out of my head. do NOT read if you haven’t/don’t want to see the manga leaks because this takes place in that chapter.

I also kind of wanna write a fic where reader is a gojo who impossibly has the six eyes among her brother, bc it’s something i’ve been daydreaming of FOREVER. if i do write that, it’ll probably have better writing than this lollll. anyways, spoilers below :)

“I will win.”

He didn’t win.

Gojo Satoru had sought out to fight Ryomen Sukuna knowing he wouldn’t win. Knowing he wasn’t truly the strongest. He thought Sukuna shared the same loneliness as him; that of a person who has transcended their own mortality, but Satoru was wrong. He was so wrong.

Ryomen Sukuna, the strongest Jujutsu sorcerer; victor of the battle.

Y/N stood there.

Her brother was in two halves, a smile resting on his cold, deceased body.

She stood there.

Her eyes were dazed. Was this her awakening?

She almost didn’t hear it at first, but there was Sukuna’s voice.

“I will never forget Satoru Gojo.”

Her head turned. He spoke. He spoke. He spoke.

Awakening was supposed to feel calm; but calmness was the last thing she could possibly feel. Akira was filled with rage. It was evident in her face. In the way the crook where the eyebrows met the nose crinkled. In the way her pupils were constricted, showing the six eyes that once resembled her brothers. In the way she had to physically stop her body from shaking.

Y/N’s eyes burned into Megumi, but she didn’t see Megumi. She saw Sukuna. And unlike her brother, Megumi’s body was none of her concern.

It took less than a second for her to be gone from her original position. It took less than a second for her to appear behind Sukuna, her eyes feral. It took a second for Sukuna to slash her down the way he had her brother.

She saw a bright flash of white, forcing her to close her eyes. When they reopened she saw Satoru. And Geto. And Nanamin. And Haibara. They were all dead.

They were all dead, yet here they were, standing in front of her, in a cafe of sorts. It was a peaceful atmosphere. Quiet. Completely contradictory to the chaos and destruction in the living world.

Her eyes darted between the group. They were all younger versions of themselves. Satoru was the first to speak.

“Y/N? Was it Sukuna?”

Y/N nodded. Was she dead. Did she fall the same way her brother did?

“Did you give it your all?”

No. She didn’t give it her all. The fight had just started and she was already dead?

“I shouldn’t be here. I-” Y/N struggled to take this all in.

She couldn’t have died. She couldn’t have let Sukuna win.

“Satoru, I need to go.” Y/N still had her cursed technique reversal.

Unlike her brother, she had spent more time focusing on honing that. One day she’d be the sole wielder of the six eyes and limitless. That day had painstakingly come.

The last thing Akira had seen before returning to her body was Satoru smiling at her. The same way he had smiled in his death.

She was back in her body, in the same position before she had “died.”

The look on Sukuna’s face would’ve made a great picture to hang on a wall. To look at it when you’re feeling down, and to remember how Ryomen Sukuna had been shocked for once in his life.

Satoru Gojo was not the only enigma of the cursed world. Y/N was a curse herself, as two six eyes cannot coexist.

“Domain expansion.”

long post !

i think most of people’s issues with raiden ei’s governance would be solved if they just remembered that she was a warrior, not a ruler. makoto was the archon and she ruled her people well. ei, on the other hand spent most of her time out on the battlefield where the only law is “kill or be killed” because there is no compromise where your enemies are gods hellbent on destroying your land (regardless on whether they are forced to or not) and that is literally why her moral compass is different. not to mention that it wasn’t even her who ruled inazuma during the vision hunt decree, it was raiden shogun. shogun, who had a consciousness on her own based on ei’s moral compass during the war.

let us not forget that in ei’s perspective, makoto died because of gold’s ambitions ok? khaenri’ah was destroyed because gold was ambitious and unleashed hordes of monsters all across teyvat. it’s probably the reason why she approved the vision hunt decree bc ambitious people, if left unchecked, will be the reason why an entire nation is destroyed by the gods of celestia. that is why makoto went in her stead to khaenri’ah. makoto knew she can’t learn how to be ruthless against her enemies (it’s good that she knows what her limitations are! great example of an archon right there!) she believed that it would probably be wiser to have ei eventually learn how to soften her heart once the war is done (and she did! it just took multiple human lifetimes and that’s probably because of makoto and her friends dying because of the war. but from an immortal’s perspective? that’s probably an equivalent of a decade or so.) it was quite literally a “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” situation because of inazuma’s ley line problem combined with khaenri’ah becoming a nation too ambitious and advanced for celestia’s taste.

stagnation was the problem in ei’s initial goal of eternity. and now, she knows better but it will never erase the fact that bad things happened even if she thought that it was fine.

As Liyue was busily preparing for the upcoming festival, you made your way to pay Pervases a visit, wanting to let the deceased yaksha know Liyue was getting ready for another beautiful, lively festival. On your way there you noticed a familiar figure, squinting, you noticed it was Xiao, you also had a message you wanted to convey to him"

"Xiao ! "

"Y/N"

Cold and collected like always, but a look of worry was on his face.

"Is everything alright?" Concerned, you tried to check up on him.

"The fireworks have warded off demons. Pervases, certainly would've been happy about that,"

Your heart sank, hearing about one of the yakshas, who were all gone except for Xiao himself. Before you could try to comfort him, he spoke again.

"You're here to try to convince me to go to Liyue Harbour, for the fireworks, aren't you?"

"Ahahaha, you got me there..." As if he read your mind, he perfectly predicted your goal, catching you off guard, "You should join us though, Keqing and others worked hard to set everything up,"

Xiao gazed up at the night sky, closing his eyes, exhaling, "I can see them from here, besides, I'm not one to enjoy human crowds. I don't really belong with them either.." The last few words were particularly quiet, as he mumbled them out shyly.

"If that's what you wish for, that's fine, but you're always welcome at Liyue Harbour," You grinned, trying to cheer him up, "You've done so much for Liyue, everyone would adore you, you've done so well,"

Xiao hastily turned away, covering the soft pink that was dusted on his cheeks, you giggled at this reaction, finding how flustered he was so adorable.

"C'mon, we can tell Pervases together, Wang Ping'an built his shrine down other there, he'll have enough incense,"

"Wait-"

You halted, curious about why he stopped you. Your head tilted in confusion.

"If it is with you, I do not mind going to the harbour. I cannot guarantee anything, but I'll do my best, since you asked"

Exhausted, and panting, you finally made your way up Mt. Aocang, where Cloud Retainer resided. You had found another gadget that would've fascinated her, and decided to gift it to her for her service to Liyue. Sore and tired, you leaned on the side of the mountain, trying to catch your breath.

"Oh, Y/N, Happy Lantern Rite !! Are you alright?"

You recognised the sweet voice of the half adepti, making you grin, as you returned her wave.

"I hope you're doing alright, don't be like me, always worried... I was going to assist preparation in Yujing Terrace, but Lady Ningguang insisted I go on vacation, as it is a festival to connect with family and friends,"

"Seems great," You were happy Ganyu was finally taking a break, you were always worried about her overworking herself "Are you spending time with Cloud Retainer?"

Ganyu ruffled the hair on the back of her head, "Well, if I spent this vacation with Cloud Retainer, she'd soon ask me things like "How has your career been this year?" or "Any new crushes one should know about?"..."

"Ahhh I see... Anyways got a crush at the moment?"

"Ahh-" Blush bloomed on her face, flustered, she tried to speak, "What- Don't you start as well-!"

You kept playfully teasing her, "Ooh is it the Yuheng? Or maybe even Tianquan? Or-" Before you could list another title, Ganyu tightly wrapped her arms around you. You could feel how hot she was, and how her skin was burning.

"You. I like you..." Your eyes widened, "Besides your teasing... Being with you makes me happy, and how you let me get things off my chest, from the bottom of my heart, thank you"

'Woah.." A gasp left your lips as your admired the beauty of the Harbour, all the dazzling decorations and bright lanterns, bringing back memories of the previous year's festival. You spotted Shenhe's tall and slim figure. As you made your way to her, she observed her surroundings.

"Shenheeee !"

"Liyue Harbour is brighter than Mt. Aocang at day..." She whispered under her breath, "I wasn't used to this at first, but I learnt this is how it looks every year. Afterall everyone smiles when Lantern Rite is talked about. Like this," Shenhe's lips curved into a grin, crimson eyeliner defining her eyes, with genuine happiness painted on her face.

Her smile made your heart warm, knowing how she's getting used to human life, "Yes, like that !"

"Will you be staying for good now, Y/N?" She returned to her usual stoic expression.

"Only for the festival, I have a lot of travelling to do," You replied, wishing you could stay with her.

Her smile returned, despite knowing you'd be leaving soon, "It was nice to see you,"

"I'll be back, don't worry," You reassured her, "I just have a lot to do, once that's over I'll be back, okay?"

"I believe you, but if only the Lantern Rite could continue indefinitely,"

- for the longest she told herself she’s just really attached to miko because they’re old friends.. but everybody knows that’s not the case (since they do end up dating lmao)

- sometimes she’ll even excuse miko from her duties as the guuji of the Narukami Shrine

- she knows she’s not supposed to do this so sometimes she settles with taking a “little” stroll all the way up the mountain just to see miko.

- “walk me down, yae?”

- “you can literally teleport ei…”

- when they’re both not busy (a somewhat rare sight) they’re spending time together.

- sometimes they’ll go out for dango and miko will teach ei a little about current human civilization

- others they’ll stay in ei’s quarters… cuddling

- fox form or not, miko feels vulnerable around ei so she doesn’t hide her tail from her

- since miko teases ei about everything and anything, ei takes this as a chance to bite back

- although it ends up with ei being the one flustered

- “oh my tail? the raiden shogun shouldn’t be checking out the guuji now, should she, ei?”

- tbh i don’t really think they use modern pet names unless it’s during other activities but they will for sure end a private letter with something along the lines of “my love”

- their relationship is private.

- not because they’re scared of how the public would react, but just because they both highly value their privacy.

- miko does sometimes show public affection that wouldn’t be considered very.. friendly… but she would never do anything that would jeopardize ei’s public reputation without consulting her first

- mornings with them would be the sweetest

- imagine their limbs tangled together, miko’s tail resting on top of ei’s hips or thighs

- ei lightly stroking behind miko’s ears as she slowly wakes up

- miko’s little smile that makes her lil fox fangs rest on her lower lip

- ei smiling with her and then going in for a kiss

- miko might be manipulative, but with ei it’s never serious. it’s all love

If Mikasa had to choose an emotion to express because her life depended on it, she would rather die.

Well, at least an emotion other than anger.

Eren’s… disappearance… had affected everyone, but it destroyed mikasa’s whole being. Although she wasn’t exactly the type to talk out her emotions when Eren was still around, she was still somewhat expressive. Her eyes still had that glow in them. Her lips would tire out from smiling, cheeks tinted red as he talked to her.

After awhile she got used to him being gone. Although her lips wouldn’t move much other than when she had to talk in class, and her cold eyes were a warning to anyone who dared look at them, and the pretty red scarf that matched her flushed cheeks was no longer keeping her warm.

She distanced herself from her closest friends. She muted every person on her instagram and always had her phone on ‘Do not Disturb.’

And after awhile, she was angry at Eren too.

Angry that he could just leave like that.

Angry for all the wrong reasons.

You were part of her inner circle. you let her grieve for a few months but this was starting to get ridiculous. When she started talking to you again, it was like you weren’t even close to her. Every time you said something she just had to go against it.

You decided to text her and ask her if she wanted to go to the fair with you, alone. She was gonna get a piece of your mind tonight even if it meant you tying her down to the ferris wheel. come to think of it.. that idea wasn’t bad 😳

After a little convincing she said yes and that she’d pick you up at 6.

Now here you were, 6:30 pm, in her car, awkwardly sitting there.

You connected your phone to her car and played your favorite playlist. She secretly loved that playlist too but she’d be caught dead before she publicly agreed with you.

The fair was magical fun.

You both wouldn’t leave without trying everything.

There was one ride that lifted you off the ground and spun you FAST. The fair music did a good job at covering your screams.

Mikasa was next to you. You swore nothing could break that girl. She was sitting there as if it didn’t feel like you would fly out the seat any second. You were oblivious to her thoughts as your hand clung onto hers as a safety precaution.

After that one, you rode one that flipped and kept you upside down. It had you holding onto mikasa’s arm.

A faint blush crept onto her cheeks. She had noticed this because even though the wind was whipping through her face, it stayed weirdly warm. If you noticed, though, she would say that the colorful fair lights were at fault. Or maybe that she was feeling nauseous. Whichever was more believable.

You honestly almost forgot what you brought her here for. The plan was to see if she’d act any different towards you and then talk to her about her recent behavior. To your surprise she actually did act different. She wasn’t actively trying to make you regret asking her out like you expected her to.

She broke the silence first once the ferris wheel was at the top. “It looks so pretty from up here.”

After a few seconds you spoke too,

"if you're better tomorrow, then i'll come with you to do your commissions. but we will not be fighting anything, alright? and if you get tired, then i'm carrying you for the rest then you're going right back to bed."

you nodded as shenhe kept putting down her conditions if you were planning on being active tomorrow.
