My D&D character, Lyra dal Evenfall! She's an elven GOOlock from the kingdom of Aetheria, where four Great Old Ones from the Far Realms - each a manifestation of different stages of change - hold dominion.

Refsheet + some more lore below the cut!

Aetheria is ruled by four Houses, one for each of the four eldritch beings. Combined, they're known as the Court of Nychthemeron. House Evenfall centers around the universe's "sunset"; autumn, dusk, decay, withering flowers, the waning moon, etc.

Each House has an envoy to communicate the desires of the Great Old Ones. House Evenfall's envoy is Lyra, their ruler being known as the Grey Earl (which is a fun pun I stole from reddit lol), but whose true name remains unknown. He values elegance, decorum, and refinement above all.

The other three Houses are House Nascense (the dawn), House Coronae (the day), and House Nocturne (the night).

House members do not have their own names. They’re reincarnations of themselves, always the same souls in the same roles performing the same functions, and as such they're always given the same names as their predecessor. None of them remember their lives before their time in Aetheria, and none remember the names given by their birth parents, much less their birth parents themselves.

Lyra’s birth name is “Selene Ju Liang” (Seh-lehn + 菊 + 良: Someone who embodies a chrysanthemum's positive traits, inspired by the "Four Gentlemen" of Chinese culture).
