How I think each modern doctor would behave while going to a party

9: must be persuaded by Rose to attend. He’ll act all grumpy, but secretly he’d love it and would dance around with her the whole evening.

10: he will talk to as many people and get himself in as many social situations as possible. At the end of the day, he’ll know everyone’s life story.

11: he will also dance around the whole night, but unfortunately for him, he has no moves at all. He’ll also either adopt any/all kids present or accidentally break something, probably both.

12: is either bringing his guitar and starting a live rock band there and then or is doing some weird scientific study in the background.

13: no idea, but probably doing something lesbian (add to this 13 stans)

14: wanted to go, but decided not to at the last moment, is now laying on Donna’s couch and watching movies with her and Shaun.

15: just like 11, he’s dancing the whole night. Unlike 11, he does have the moves. My man is having the night of his life and is flirting in the meantime.

As an autistic person, the idea of having a disabled and especially an autistic companion, makes me so happy.

Just image:

- the companion stimming when in stressful situations. The doctor immediately noticing and feeling protective. But also: the companion happy stimming when they’ve succeeded and how cute their joy would be. Imagine the companion flapping their hands, tapping their feet, the doctor joining them in their enthusiasm

- the companion getting overstimulated at certain noises, smells and sights. Exposing the doctor to someone who experiences the world differently than they do.

- The companion’s intense sense of Justice clashing with the doctor’s view in stressful situations, getting the companion to challenge him

- The companion’s special interest coming in to save the day or just to suprise the doctor. Let him explain something about, let’s say, astronomy. Have the companion go: yeah, I’ve had a special interest about this since I was 12, i know. Iconic.

- the companion bonding with the doctor over their shared confusion over humanity’s/neurotypical’s behavior.

- the companion having a meltdown after a particular traumatic experience and the doctor having to deal with that. Having to deal with a situation where he really wants to help, but his usual tricks don’t work. His physical touch and his words only making you feel worse and him having to confront that.

The Doctor with platonic companions: light of my life, angel on this earth, how my love for you is bigger than my grief

I love each companion and their relationship with the doctor:

Rose: the love of his life. The first companion he met after the time war who truly made him feel alive again. Who showed him the good in the universe again. Even hundreds of years later he still loves her and she’s still in his hearts.

Martha: someone who first fancied him, but then became a friend. She was his rebound and he treated her poorly, but she did care about him and he cared about her.

Donna: his best friend in the entire universe. She was there to put him in line, to hold him accountable. She saved his life by being his friend. She also gave him a hand to hold and seemed to truly understand him and see him as he was.

Amy: the first family he gained after the loss of his species. Being Amy’s imaginary friend and meeting her as a little child, means he always saw her as that. She was his Amelia Pond and he was her raggedy man. She was the first face that face saw. Almost a parental relationship, but definitely a familial one. She had so much blind faith in him, seeing him only as her imaginary friend, that the doctor had to break that faith to save her life. Even after they finally saw each other as they truly were, they could never quite let go of each other.

Clara: his soulmate. The person he loved and was in love with, but could never find himself to say it. His duty of care. The person he’d destroy the universe for. Their love was so deep and they relied on each other so much, that they became toxic and co dependent. (Almost a reverse of ten and Donna). The control freak and the man who should never be controlled, truly a perfect match made to drive the doctor mad.

Bill: his adopted granddaughter. She was a mentee of his, someone who he wanted to show the wonders of the universe to. He took her in because he liked her curiosity and filled the gap her mother had left.

Just written one of the Big Scenes in my screenplay, one that I’ve had in my head for months. I was postponing it a bit bc it’s an important scene and I didn’t want to fuck it up. But bc I’ve thought about it for a while now, it was surprisingly easy.

Busy writing my screenplay and I’m on scene 16, which means I’ve already written half of my first draft!!! :)
