The writers of Frozen have said that they have an idea that would include Elsa being gay and having a female love interest. the only reason they’re questioning it is because they’re concerned parents wouldn’t want their kids to see that. or because they don’t want to worry about criticism. i don’t know. 

but look at black panther, how much that affected kids of colour and, screw it-adults too.

look at dead-pool 2, how crazy everyone went after seeing the first gay couple in MCU history. 

look at Mulan, Pocahuntus, Moana, Tiana.

and look at all the princesses that need saving. look at Snow White, Cinderella, Rapunzel. 

all these princesses needing a man. 

think of the girls out there, maybe young, maybe not. just seeing these princesses finding their princes. and wondering what was so wrong with them, that they just wanted another princess. 

it could be the smallest thing, a love interest in a sequel, one film in hundreds of others. and it could change so much. 

i want young girls, boys too, to see that it is a natural, beautiful thing, and deserves a place in disney’s magical universe as much as the classically beautiful princesses and their princes. 

if you’re one of the people so concerned about your kids seeing two girls kiss, don’t take them to go see the film. if you don’t want this, don’t see it. but let us have it. let me have this. it’d mean the world to me. at seventeen years old, it would still mean the world. 

Disney, you have this influence and it’s time you started to do something good with it. it could change so much.
