"Senpai, you pervert." [Fan Art] Hayase Nagatoro (Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san) {November 01st, 2017->}

The concept of Japanese high school girl might not translate interestingly enough to a POP but when she is such a character just like Nagatoro-san, that's where you can have an edge. I tried to adapt her by focusing on her emotive face and I think I did well enough that you can see that demeaning eyes right off the manga. Maybe I will include the mouth later on since she's so expressive with it but all in all, with that hair clips and that darker skin tone that I think I represent well as well, this should appease the fans of the series as I intended.

Not sure how I would adapt him at first but then came the mustache and of course the songkok. Adding the facial structures there certainly helps for the end product. Looks just like him, right? The stage outfit is perfect to represent his career as a musician. Now to look through his filmography...

Kiki [Kiki's Delivery Service] {July 29th, 1989}

I've been enjoying and holding Hayao Miyazaki's works in high regards and one of them is Kiki's Delivery Service. This is quite a straightforward adaptation of the main protagonist and while the black isn't quite as dark as I would hope, I think the bow in her hair is enough to represent Kiki. Did you see the cat at the back there? This would be an excellent POP on the stand...

I love playing this modern reinterpretation of the Deus Ex franchise and the protagonist is a perfect representation of this new direction. He is always in full black and while I couldn't copy the golden hue to contrast with it, but I think he looks really good her in his coat and that shade as well. You know other versions of him will be coming in the future, with his augmentations out or him sitting down drinking just like in the concept art.

Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck [Joker biopic] (October 04th)

If you do not want to be spoiled of the upcoming Joker origin film by Todd Phillips, do not see the leaked set images (https://imgur.com/CMy9nAl & https://imgur.com/UGJmKOg) and my interpretation above. Joaquin Phoenix is such a unique actor that I can't wait to see what he would do with a rich material in the Clown Prince of Crime. The colours really pop in the wardrobe he wears at the scene and I think I was able to complement that well. That clown makeup though ... whatever the final product turns out to be, you know it won't be like anything else.

Bowsette [Super Mario Bros.] {2018 meme}

It's only a matter of time before I adapted this and I tried not to go too rule34 and just adapt the most appropriate version of her. Since Nintendo officially make this not canon, https://i.imgur.com/72HqGHP.png, I guess let's end it here. I like how she turns out here, with that angry pose juxtapose with the minimalist POP version. I might cover the other female version of the characters in the future ...

I was only playing the game recently on the PC port but I know how popular she has been since her debut. She has a lot of poses that the POP should be based on, with this pose I adapt straight from her amiibo statue. Her many finishing moves could exclusives on their own but if Funko wants to lean on the risque side of her, do the chase with her hair off of her body completely. Considering how they adapt Taarna of Heavy Metal recently, maybe they will be as tasteful as possible.
