One struggle that our system has is overthinking what parts are actually there. We can have a part in front and realize that they're acting differently than normal, and we have to try not to immediately think, "This is a new part, not one we know of."
An old host did this whenever the vibe felt even the slightest bit off, which led to hs believing we had, quite literally, 10 times the number of parts we actually had. And though that host is no longer here, we still find a bit of trouble with that being our first thought.
Does any other system experience this?

NOT supportive to your system friends:
- "can you make [alter] front?"
- always asking who's fronting
- getting upset when they can't remember something
VERY supportive to your system friends:
- giving them money
- "here's $50 for you"
- relinquishing your money to them
- offering them money

Updates from us!
I feel we've made significant progress with Integration! Even if the progress isn't too far, this is still huge for us because our amnesia barriers have been really high for the past 2 months, but now I feel we've made good progress with breaking those barriers down and communicating. :)
The only problem is, now we're discovering more parts. We're hoping the count isn't too high, but it's not looking great :'(
A few of our parts who've been here longer than me have suggested that we try using Simply Plural, or even Plural Kit on discord since we talk to our friends on there, and I am considering it. It looks very complex, but I agree with them and think it may be useful!
We're also considering turning this blog into one where our parts can post and stuff, but we also want to be careful about privacy so we aren't too sure what will happen. We may just keep the anon-sys title and use this as an actual system blog, but who knows!
That's all for the updates. :)

Deleted our last post because I feel that what I had shared could be dangerous for us if the wrong people saw it.

THIS IS EXACTLY HOW WE EXPERIENCE IT
I only notice the amnesia when an event I should remember is brought up, I swear I thought I was just crazy!
I learned about how other DID systems experience amnesia and one description has hit the nail on the head. We experience black-out amnesia, but not how it is commonly portrayed online or in media. We do not get confused about where we are, find ourselves in places we do not remember going. We do not notice our amnesia unless we are reminded of it.
Amnesia to us is like digging through sand trying to find the memory in our brain.
I do not recall forgetting something until i am supposed to remember the events. It feels to me like i have experienced every second of every day. I find it difficult to notice memory gaps on my own, and i believe that is partly the point of DID.

"just dont let vulnerable alters front alone!" its not a choice for some people. particularly CDD systems, not being able to control who fronts is very common. take your performative unrealistic advice elsewhere.

Systems of tumblr, what are your thoughts on the app Simply Plural?
For us, the old host used it a lot for making profiles for known parts. I personally haven't used it or looked at it yet because I don't know how it would be of help other than making profiles for known parts.
What are your thoughts?

I appreciate all the feedback I've gotten on this post. Thank you everyone!
Systems of tumblr I seek feedback yet again.
I see a lot of discourse online about referring to your alters as parts because it's dehumanizing.
Our alters don't mind being called parts, and some of us even refer to ourselves as IDs, but we don't want to do this if it actually is harmful.
Is it okay to refer to yourself as a part or even ID? some of our alters when introducing themselves say, "My ID is (name)" instead of "My name is (name), I'm an alter/part" because it works better for them.
TLDR: Is it okay to use part or ID instead of alter / sysmate? Or is that harmful?

A question from a friend of mine:
Is it normal to feel like a certain alter but slightly different? Like you're two different alters at the same time?

An update, we have started a journal and are going to be using it to try and better communication. :)
Question for systems who use journaling to keep track of / document symptoms-
What do you do? How do you do it? Like how do you document these things in a way that makes sense to you, and has it helped at all?
I see people online all the time recommend journaling as a way to document symptoms while also helping them better communication, but I'm not sure how I would do it.

Just a PSA. Just because a traumagenic system doesn't fit your idea or narrative of how a DID/OSDD system should exist does not mean they're faking.
We all formed from unique experiences. Whilst it might not be your truth, it is their truth and their reality.
There is such little data on DID and even less so on OSDD, so before you invalidate or fakeclaim a system, think about where that hatred comes from.

Thank you so much! I will look into these. :)
A question for systems, specifically those who are diagnosed or are very knowledgeable on the topic.
For some context, we've been a suspected system for a while now. We've had a host who had experienced delusions in the form of our alters forming knowing everything about themselves because of tiktok feeding into that. Our alters have gone with it for a long time, but recently, we've discovered that it doesn't make sense and have broken out of that mindset.
Now here's how we've seen it explained by some others online, and I am not sure if it is correct, but it fits us the most and would like to know if it's a system thing or a whole other problem to look into.
(BTW, The last post I made were questions that attributed to this. They are relevant if you'd like to see them and the commented/reposted answers.)
I became the representing alter/host several months ago, and when I did I was looking at the simply plural that our old host had made and I was thinking "Woah, we have people in our head? That doesn't sound right." Because from what I've heard from the body's friends, the old host had always described having DID as having people in our head, and ever since I found that out, it hasn't sit well with me.
I've been thinking of it as these different personalities that may individually present the strongest when triggered out. But from what I've seen online, nobody really describes it as such. And I begun to realize that everything our old host "knew" about our system, was most likely sourced from endogenics or from systems like us who may be misinformed.
Basically, what I'm asking is this:
Is it still considered DID if we see it as having all these different personalities with different names and feelings and ages and such. VS considering it as having all these different people who live in your head?
Is this considered something completely different from DID? If so what should we look into?
Thank you!
