Decim8 App Turns Art Digital
I discovered the Decim8 app from my friend @utmostfrog'sInstagram feed. He was posting the most intricate and detailed art pics and I followed the scent to Applifam, which is an Instagram andTumblr site that posts a photo per day to which people make edits to the original and repost. It's very interesting to see what people post. There is some really beautiful art and I'm including those screenshots in this album so you can see this brilliant underground world of art and creativity being made from our phones right now! It's All In A Name...App
This App is weirdly right on the money with much of their descriptions! Type in your name or your friend's names and see what the deeper meaning of the name pattern suggests. I'm not in love with the ux and ui of this app but the accuracy of the name descriptions is rather impressive. This app is made by a name society in Canada called the @kabalarians and their online webpage offers further name descriptions. What does your name mean?

This Exquisite Forest Built on Google's App Engine
This Exquisite Forest is an artistic aesthetic experience where technology has superceded the boundary of distance. The forest, which is a collaboration betweenTate and Google Chrome combines artwork from well-known artists from all over the world and plants them as "trees" in the forest. Anyone can then add to their creation and it plays in a loop leaf by leaf, tree by tree.
This Exquisite Forest is an online collaborative art project that lets users create short animations that build off one another as they explore a specific theme. The result is a collection of branching narratives resembling trees. The project was conceived by Chris Milk and Aaron Koblin, and produced by Google and Tate. It makes extensive use of Google Chrome’s HTML5 and JavaScript support, as well as Google App Engine and Google Cloud Storage. A physical installation is located in the collection galleries on Level 3 at Tate Modern, and will be open for approximately one year beginning on July 23, 2012.

Understand Existence with A Little Alchemy
The Alchemy app is 100% incredibly addictive. Once you create your first creation and realize how magical existence really is you're done for. It's a puzzle and it's hard! once you get it you think how obvious each element was to create. There are 360 creations that can be made from just the basic elements of water, energy, air and fire. Once you combine any two that forms a third your menu grows. This app is free at the Chrome Store: http://goo.gl/2pSp1

The Facetune app really ups the game when it comes to taking pics with your phone. It's the first app I've seen with an incredibly good ui for editing your spots and wrinkles if you want to get spruced up before you post to your Instagram. It gives you the editing ability that was previously only possible for pro photoshop wizards. But this app covers it all. It will smooth your skin, allow you to add eyebrow and eyelash color, gloss your lips, defocus the other bits, and you can even raise your cheekbones or widen your eyes. This app brings photo editing to a whole other level, but word to the wise: it's easy to get carried away with this app and end up looking like a plastic alien! Enjoy: Get it on iphone here. Not on Android yet.

ibis has just released an app that tracks your sleep patterns and turns it into artwork. You set the alarm and then put the phone somewhere in your bed (which deserves an essay unto itself), and then go to sleep. In the morning you wake up to a visual description of how you slept. I tried it out last night and the green art piece below shows how that went--very accurately perhaps. This app is fun to experiment with, at least to see how you roll.

The Line Camera App by NAVER まとめ is honestly the best photo app I've used in a long long time. It has by far the best ui and ux, is well made, has a very good selection of Purikura sticker art and links directly to other Naver apps, which includes the new Pick App, the Asian rival to Instagram. Get it free and try it out, you will not be disappointed!

DBL Camera Hipsterizes You More Without Wait for new Samsung
DBL Cam is a photo app that snaps two pics quickly one right after the other so there's no time to pose. It flips the lens from the front camera to the back camera to showcase what is behind the lens as much as in front of it.
This app will definitely catch you off guard, which is impressive given the day and age we're in technologically. I like that this "suddeness"of the photo is added into the images because there's something honest about it all--zero pose time.
Get it on iTunes only.

For years MonkeyBread Software's free Combine PDF's download has been a lifesaver when it comes to merging or stacking pdfs into one big pdf. It's always the little things in life and this one has proven itself very handy over the years of creating reports, sending writing pages, photo images, tax documents, etc. It's been my favorite because it's the easiest to use. One little square screen you drag your pdf's into, organize in the order you want and then click merge.

Enhance Your Whole Internet Experience With Hover Zoom for Chrome
Hover Zoom is one of those small browser installs you would hardly think about in the moment and then BOOM Snap Poof-- your whole internet viewing experience is changed forever. With Hover Zoom installed all you have to do is roll your mouse over an image and it will instantly "hover" in the larger, full size. This is incredibly helpful for Google Image Searches, for scrolling through news feeds, Facebook albums, thumbnails. Hover Zoom will save you a lot of time because you don't have to click and then click back to see what you're wanting to see: you just hover. Trust me, this one is really useful.
