Hello dear author! Could I possibly bother you for some headcanons on Sean and his father's relationship? I'll take anything I can get 👀

Hello dear reader! You are more than welcome to bother me for more Sifu headcanons, anytime! 😄✨

For Sean and his father, I do have a smattering of ideas! I imagine they had a difficult relationship that only got worse as Sean grew older. I see his father as being a very tough Asian parent (tm) on Sean when he was a kid; maybe there was a divorce and his dad wasn't emotionally present for Sean at the time, which pushed Sean to hide his true feelings inside (and it'd be fitting for his father to be bad with romantic relationships, which is then passed down to his son). Most of Sean's toxic mindset (like vulnerability, crying, etc. being "weakness") would likely come from his father since I imagine him having a very similar upbringing.

I also think Sean would've gotten his rebellious streak from having such a strict father in childhood, but at the same time, he wants to make his father proud, so that causes a lot of internal conflict. It's also what starts Sean's desire for more strength/power - he wants to defeat any bully, and part of him can't help but see his father as one.

As Sean gets older, I feel like he'd lean more into his rebellious nature while slowly giving up on being able to prove himself to his father, even while his father doesn't give up on him XD Overall, it'd be a pretty strained relationship with quite a lot of lectures and arguments between father and son, and the breaking point is what pushes Sean to kill him in the end, though I imagine he regrets it soon after 😢

How would Sindri react if he ever found out that Kratos was the one to kill Calliope? And that Calliope doesnt wanna see him?

If you're currently reading my fic, you'll find out eventually what Sindri will think about Calliope not wanting to see Kratos ;) As for your first question, I think Sindri would be torn between being angry and not being able to do much about it because Sindri also kinda did the same to Brok? He didn't kill Brok, but he did rob him of an afterlife which I feel can be seen as the same thing 🤔

And since Calliope's murder is so far in the past at this point, Sindri wouldn't want to drudge it all up with his anger, out of affection for her, because he sees that both she and Kratos are trying to heal and move forward from it. At least, I think that's how Sindri would feel 😅

Memes aside I really loved the chapter! Man, even the good that Yang's been doing at the Sanctuary has its insidious side, yikes! You weren't kidding when you said that Yang was the most affected by his talisman's corruption! I am glad that True Yang is still kicking enough to finally make an appearance, hopefully the power of everyone around Yang going "hey man you're kind of losing it here" will help his best self to surface completely 😂 fingers crossed!

Lol this is so embarrassing to ask but I can't help it so. Hypothetically, after his emotional intelligence arc has been completed and he is no longer a self-destructive person, what kind of person do you think Sean would end up in a relationship with? I feel like he'd need an introvert bc he doesn't strike me as a people person (understatement of the century) but it could also be an opposites attract situation? Maybe a little bit of both? Idk, you're the expert here! I am dragging you by the ankles into your headcanons era you only have yourself to blame

Aww don't be embarrassed, it's okay! This is a safe space for all headcanon asks, after all 😊💗 And gosh, it's an honour to be considered the expert! Even though I don't feel like it sometimes hahaa I'm just one fan with interpretations among many others! XD

Speaking of Sean, he definitely isn't a people person imo, so I feel like it'd take a while for him to grow used to anyone at all, especially at a level where he feels he can be open and intimate with them 🤔 I mean, it took him how many years to finally get to this point with Yin? Not including those eight years where he just dipped lololl and they already had a history together!

But, just talking about his type of partner, I think he'd do pretty well with a mix of introvert and opposite like you suggested; basically someone like Yin who can grow to understand him and form that emotional connection, and they love him for who he is while also supporting him to better himself, you know? He'd definitely try to be more open, but I think his partner will also need to be quite patient with him 😅

You know I wanted to send you something about how much I loved your latest tPtW chapters but all I can think about is how my crush on Sean is absolutely out of control and how that is all your fault lmao. At least in the beginning he was being a jerk, but now he's growing! He's maturing as a person! He's standing up to Yang! He fought against almost every instinct he had and apologized to Yin! Like the dude is trying his best to better AND he's like 6'5" or smth, HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO FEEL 😭

Yang is literally SO frustrating to watch

Dude. Guy. You have not known Yin for 8 years at this point. People change. ESPECIALLY if aomething that traumatic happened. At this point, Fajar and Kuroki DO know her better than you do. LISTEN TO THEM

And his refusal to acknowledge his own part in Yin's worsening mental state is the worst thing. I cannot see it as anything but pure denial at this point. He has done NOTHING to indicate that he wants to rebuild his and Yin's relationship and yet he gets to say that Yin doesnt see him as a brother anymore?? You arent even giving her a chance to see you as her big brother rn! Ahe tries to kill herself and after IMMEDIATELY attacks him how can he not understand that HE IS THE PROBLEM HERE

I need Sean to beat the sense into him genuinely

Jinfeng was my least favourite but yang is coming for her spot

(i love the way you write them btw its very complex i just cant sympathise with Jinfeng personally)

On the one hand, I feel bad that I'm putting my Sifu readers through Yang's infuriating shenanigans 😅 But on the other, I guess it means I'm writing Yang pretty well to get these reactions? So I'll take it as a compliment too! 😂

I completely understand your frustration though; don't worry, Yang won't stay this way forever! I knew he wouldn't be able to if I wanted Yin's happy ending to actually happen lmaoo (not saying that she can't have a happy one without Yang, just that I want her to have her family back 😭)

I feel like, out of all the bosses, Yang has probably suffered the most from his talisman's corruption, but he's also done his fair share of indulging in his own delusions and denial, so it's a mix of things. And speaking of that, one of the reasons why I wrote him like this is based on the virtue (from the Five Constant Virtues) that he's associated with, which is sincerity (or faithfulness, truthfulness). The basic definition of that is having your words line up with your actions, being in touch with reality, and not giving in to self-serving delusions. Each boss lacks their own respective virtue; I just amped it up to eleven for Yang loll 😂

And no worries about not sympathizing with Jinfeng! She's a tough one to like, for sure XD Plus, she and Sean will have their bits to say in the next chapter, so we'll get a closer look at what they think about all this! Thanks for reading and commenting, anon!! <333

What do think about MC's parents? Like...🤔.. how they met.....?

Ohh that's a good question! Hmmm I like to imagine they met during a Kung-Fu tournament; like, Sifu was there as a Pak Mei disciple, and Simou (MC's mom) was a Shaolin disciple! Maybe they were both impressed with each other's skill; maybe Simou won against Sifu, but instead of getting mad, he decided to train with her so he could learn more! And they started developing feels for each other during those sessions, so they hung out together, maybe got some bubble tea and talked about shared interests, all that fun stuff XDD

Is could Thor and Odin be reincarnated into Ukko of Finnish Mythology like how the Greek Gods were reincarnated into the Roman Gods?

If you mean in a fanfic, anything's possible there XD Personally, I wouldn't consider reincarnating Thor and Odin into another pantheon unless there are some strong connections between them like there are with the Greek and Roman mythologies, y'know?

My Shield Maiden!Calliope au is clawing at its cage now after the last chapter 😭😭😭😭

Hahaha our little Calliope is learning lots! She'll be quite a force to reckon with once she's older 😄 And rest assured this won't be the last time she hangs out with Thrud! XD

Ma'am this latest tPtW chapter fucked me up I was NOT prepared 😭 I don't even have words for this, man. I'm so worried about Yin dude. And Fajar! Holy frick, his guilt must have been absolutely crushing even before Yang said what he said! And YANG. How badly do you have to mess up to get to the point where SEAN is better at expressing his emotions healthily than you are??? Sean! Sean 'Unhealthy Expressor of Emotion' Liang is being more normal about things than you are rn.

Yin has never done anything wrong in her life, ever. I know this and I love her. #1 Yin supporter right here 👋

CALLIOPE IS SO CUTE A WANNA GRAB HER BY HER LITTLE CHEEKS AND SQUEEEEEEZZEEEEEE

I loved her interactions with literally everyone else this chapter. Her girl time with Thrúd was so nice and i like that Calliope is being taught how handle some kind of weapon besides just her ✨dubious goddess magic✨ ik your fic is mostly slice of life from here on but its a nice touch for any possible future encounters where calliope doesnt have access to her power

The flower crown moment made me literally squeel! Skjöldr is so sweet with Calliope. It does make me wonder if he realises she has a baby crush on him 🤔 i hope we get to see Danmǫrk again.

Semi-related question; will you be exploring Calliopes relationships with kids her age or is this strictly a "Collecting Family Members" kinda story?

Also cant wait for more Sindri i love how conflicted he is and can you IMAGINE the drama if he ever finds out Kratos was the one who killed Calliope? Also i wonder if he'll be bitter abt the fact that ATREUS got to keep is resurrected sister while Brok died twice.

I'm happy you enjoyed this chapter!! Writing Calliope's interactions with Skjoldr and Thrud was a blast (as was writing her with the rest of the cast, which we'll see eventually hahaa) 😄 And I agree, it's good for her to have some sort of training in physical combat! I figured Thrud would be the best person to teach her, considering Thrud's own history with training and wanting to fight XD

To answer your question, it'll be both! Calliope will definitely make some friends around her age (though not a particularly large group loll), while also collecting people for her found family XDD

As for Sean, I imagine he met Yang when they were both kids; I don't have a lot of thoughts for before that, but I think he would've lived and trained in his father's wuguan, with a lot of pressure put on him by his father - or maybe Sean spent a lot of time trying to gain the elder's approval 🤔 I imagine he also hated bullies and fought with them a lot, while also being a loner kid because he wasn't good with making friends.

I think those are all the ideas I have for Sean's childhood? Maybe I'll come up with more in the future XD Thanks for the ask! 😊

(Warning this is super long I'm so sorry) Absolutely mcfreaking reeling from that charged backfist of a chapter. I have no words. Yang what. What is wrong with you. He really slaughtered five schools' worth of students and masters, killed his adoptive father, orchestrated the murder of his little sister, secretly went back and raised said little sister from the dead, decided to let her wake up ALONE IN A POOL OF HER OWN BLOOD SURROUNDED BY THE BODIES OF HER FAMILY, left her to fend for herself at the ripe age of 11, and then fucked off to the mountains to be a super-doctor. BROTHER. Like yes Yang, it was really cold of Sifu to not let you save your family with the talisman, and your feelings of heartbreak and betrayal are absolutely valid (I would even excuse the attempted theft of the talisman honestly, he was just trying to save them!) especially when he saw you as a son, BUT HOLY SHIT YOUR RESPONSE WAS TO BECOME A MASS-MURDERER! Yin and all those disciples didn't know anything about the talismans, you could have just killed the masters in a slightly less public way and have been basically fine! Jinfeng literally has Infinite Money Glitch: The Talisman, you guys can pay off anyone! I'm so flabbergasted at Yang I can't even express it fully. How do we come back from this bro 😭 I know Fajar actually did kill Yin and now they're besties, but Yang literally left her in a wuguan full of bodies!!!! She could've died or gone insane and Yang just allowed it! How tf was she supposed to turn away from vengeance when that's literally all you left her with! And the fact that she managed to do that anyway and you're just???? Punishing her for it in every way besides physically attacking her????

You know what? I'm gonna go fight Yang a bunch until I get an achievement or something, he deserves it!

That said, I think you're probably the first person I've seen who's gotten this angry at Yang (aside from a few other characters in the fic)! 😂 Game-wise, him reviving Yin in the prologue made the most sense to me out of all the other theories (not that there are a lot imo), and it also works with the implications of the post-credits scene, so I was more than ready to add it to the fic with maximum angst! XDD

Of course, this all means Yang is an even bigger douche than before 😅 There were a million other ways he could've gone about stealing the talismans without ruining Yin's life, but ah well, I had to stick to that part of canon for this fic 😂 I personally think he didn't have this mindset eight years ago; like, how much of his current thinking is actually him and how much is part of the talisman's influence? But even then, it was still a horrible move to make, especially where Yin was concerned (hence why I came up with the Dawn!AU where she lives! hehe). And his entire arc overall was one of my struggling points while writing, because how DO you come back from this? How do you have the happy ending with all the fluffy rainbow and unicorn feels?? Would a happy ending for this even be happy for Yin and Yang's relationship after all he's done to her? So that was quite interesting and tricky to work with XDD

A Sifu AU I came up with where, instead of unaliving MC, Yang takes her with him to become his heir and also to complete his revenge against her father (a daughter for a daughter, so to speak XD). And from there, he and the bosses end up raising her! I call it the Dawn!AU after the name of Yang's group :'''D

Would half of Kratos’ ashes fade from his body or they stuck forever?

In the Valhalla DLC, if you switch between the Norse and Greek versions, you'll notice that the ashes have certainly faded a little from Norse Kratos' body, no doubt to represent his redemption journey; so I think that means the ashes won't be stuck forever (and that also goes for him in my fic, even if I end up not mentioning it loll)! :D
