OK, I know I usually talk about fantasy archery in a positive sense, but I think there’s also a place for (hopefully constructive) criticism of tropes that could do with improving!
If you like this sort of thing, here’s the full video:

Favoritism
One problem with writing this fantasy series out of order is that, while I adore the characters I'm currently writing, and am really excited for people to read their stories, what I really want is to get all of that published and out there so I can finally publish what I've already written, the content that's going to stand as my eventual books four through six. These are the characters and story I've been working on for at least a decade. These are the characters I really love, and whose stories are really close to my heart. There's so much I want to say with them, so much I want to show them doing, and I really want other folks to be able to get to know them and love them as much as I do.
Before I can get to their stories, though, I've got to get these "earlier" stories published, these books one through three. Once I've published book one, have finished writing books two and three (and published them,) then we can start thinking about that later stuff, stuff I've already written that I'm absolutely chomping at the bit to share with everyone. Like I said, I do love the characters I'm writing about in books one through three, and I'm sure you readers will too, but what I really want to do is introduce all of you to my other brain-children, my book four characters. I think you'll like them. I really do. A lot.
I know parents aren't supposed to pick favorites, and maybe that's true for writers and their characters too. I can't help it. I have favorites, characters that are just a joy to write, and who I absolutely adore. Someday I hope all of my readers will get to understand why I feel that way.

dang therapists really have one move and it's always cbt. girl I live under the poverty line, changing my way of thinking isn't going to fix my money issues. It's not gonna fix bigotry. A coping skill that will help me in the moment isn't going to fix my chronic anxiety then they turn around and hit you with the "Maybe you aren't trying hard enough" maybe you need a new job

And in my darkest hours I stayed awake and thought you showed me a beacon of light,
But you held me underwater, and the light went out because I was drowning.

Gc2b Binders No Longer Reputable
I've been away, so y'all may already be very aware of this, but I want to make sure it's stated on this blog because it's been The Brand for yeeeaaars: the quality of gc2b binders has been going downhill the past few years. People who bought from them prior and recently can attest to how poor the quality has become. The binders are just not the same. The material isn't comfortable and, more importantly, the fit just isn't good. People who've tried recent gc2b binders, even those who've been binding for years, are suffering from back and muscle pain, stiff shoulders, soreness, etc. regardless of fit. The material just doesn't seem to be suitable for binding anymore. It is also degrading really quickly and binders are wearing out in a matter of months. It is no longer worth it to buy from gc2b.
If you want some sources on this, check out the reviews here on trustpilot with people talking about this.
You'll want to keep your eye on brands that are still doing good work: Spectrum Outfitters (UK), For Them (seems to be a hate it or love it company; I know some who swear by them and others who feel they dont' really sell actual binders - just sports bras/lighter compression tops), Shapeshifters (good custom work and larger sizing), and Underworks (best budget brand).

i love pre-T and never T trans men. i love trans men who don't change their outward appearance after coming out. i love trans men who dont want any surgeries. i want trans men who dont bind. i love trans men who like wearing bras. i love trans men who wear makeup, who hate having facial or body hair, who still shop in the "women's" section. i see you and i love you for being men in a way that's comfortable for you. there are many ways to be a man, you aren't less of a man because of how you present. ily!
