he was together with sheila for a little while, they had a messy break up and when sheila found she was pregnant she didn't tell vlad, at first she didn't even know whos is it coughwilliscough and what better revenge then giving his kid to another (he was always raving with how his maddy spawned) which she told him over a letter, the envelope that is still sealed, left unopened out of pettiness but laying forgotten in his drawer waiting to be opened still years after being sent.

he finally opens it when he gets the news that she died (he likes to be informed what his exes are doing not out of love but that they aren't screwing him over) as that sparks the memory of it and right there he is made aware that he has no had a son, she gave him to todd and on the report he received buried next to her was jason todd, he will have to make sure (but he knows)

It’s the news what leads vlad over the tipping point and starts the cloning danny (he had will have a son)

But the twist is

years later when Vlad is given Dan. And Dan is on social media he hears him mumbling huh looks like that zombie isn’t on the scene yet

Vlad finally given a reason to talk (sue him he doesn’t know how to talk to Dan), “ A zombie? is that your friend from the future? “

Dan withering glare, “ No, not my friend.”

Right Vlad winced to himself the apocalyptic future of course there is no time for-

“At best an acquaintance”

Ooo vlad thought smirking an ‘acquaintance’ of course his mistake, “ hmmm and what happened to this ‘zombie acquaintance’ of yours?”

“Well there was chatter that an undead was terrorizing Gotham and of course I had to check that out and long story short there was an epic revenge story happening which with my help was perfectly executed”

“that’s it? That is good-.”

Angrily “But who would have guessed that the psychotic clown would have blown himself up together with the whole Gotham!” winding down, now quietly,” well at least that took care of batman.”

Ah that would do it first friend after the incident and he too dies in an explosion Vlad thought sympathetically. No Vlad don’t make it awkward, say something to him,

“And what is his name, maybe we could find him and help him with his epic revenge story?” nailed it!

“No, no he didn’t help my help anyway, Jason has eh will have better chances without me.”

“Jason?”

“Yeah Jason Todd.”
