its funny how i remember how chill this community used to be. it was founded on sharing and critiquing each other to improve stuff and make the community better and now they cant even handle that.

Ultimately, in any extreme case where it is left untreated, the very thing that brings an organization to its height will eventually be its downfall, no matter how fool-proof it seems. The only way to prevent such a thing is with proper management, and even that has no guarantees.

I agree with and respect all of your opinions and honestly the only reason I’m on anonymous for this is because it’s so bad I’m afraid of the backlash I’ll get for saying anything, even as an LGBT myself

You shouldn’t have to feel afraid of speaking up against injustice. That’s not what a community is. When you feel that, it’s no longer a community. It is a mob on the hunt for more witches. 

But please understand that some of the staff had their heart in the right place, and it was just a poor execution of their intentions- they’re not the issue. It’s those abusing their power, forcing their opinion on others, and the members trying to police each other on what kind of creativity is allowed that is the issue. That being said, you are entitled to your passions and your opinions, as long as you are not hurting others or forcing it on them. Don’t let anyone silence you.

I know a lot of people that left the scp fandom because they didn’t feel safe talking about their ideas anymore and a I have friends who are scared to join because they’re intimidated by the site and the people in charge now

Everyone has a right to feel safe in the community they choose to align themselves with. If you feel for whatever reason like things are getting bad and you can no longer share what is on your mind something is terribly wrong. The people who vowed to protect your right to share have failed you. Don’t stay silent about it either though. Like I said, inaction is the worst kind of reaction. You tell them something is wrong, and if they won’t fix it, rally enough people and force them to. 

It’s already started doing some good things for the community, from what I’ve heard. :)

tbh, I’m really glad you made that video. I don’t agree with everything in it but I’m not going to be like the admins and call you a homophobe or belittle you for opposing opinions that aren’t extreme. You’re right that something is wrong and whether they don’t see it or just want to ignore its bad

To some people, turning a blind eye to an issue is considered a solution. It’s not. But they sure do like to believe it is. Ignoring something won’t make it go away, it will only give it the chance to get worse without you realizing. I appreciate you being able to respect my opinion and agree to disagree. :D

Man that’s funny. Shows how far you guys have really fallen. You didn’t even bother listening to the full stream, did you? I can’t be homophobic, genius. I’m Pansexual, my partner in crime’s a bisexual trans dude, my best friend’s the sweetest lesbian, and I happen to be a strong advocate for LGBT rights without being too radical about. You know I’m right too, because you didn’t even bother trying to rebut what I said, you went straight to insulting me personally. How childish. Hopefully your diapers don’t get too twisted at this next part- and here’s how I know you didn’t actually watch the stream and are just trying to be a piss baby- As stated, I’m not going to just ditch the SCP Foundation. I still love the premise of the site and the stories on it. I’ll continue to make videos about it and enjoy it, even if I no longer align myself with the community you just displayed really has become a festering cesspool of broken dreams and censorship. I will continue to contribute to the Foundation in other ways, and there’s nothing you can do to stop me.

LGBT+ folks defending themselves from homophobia is “problematic.” How privileged you are.

Pffft, privileged. I’m Pansexual, my partner’s a bisexual trans dude, and my best friend’s a lesbian, and most of my family is heavily anti-LGBT. 

LGBT folk defending themselves is not the issue. Suddenly proclaiming that your stance on LGBT issues is the end-all be-all of an argument and boasting your position in the fandom to try and force it on others and push people around is an issue, and a scumbag move, because unfortunately, LGBT politics are much more complicated than what they seem. Not everyone is going to agree with your opinion, but that doesn’t they’re suddenly homophobic/racist/or otherwise. Having an opinion is not an issue either, it is when you force others to follow it that problems arise. Most people see, “equal rights for all and the normalization of love between two consenting adults in all of its forms” when they look at LGBT, and yes, that’s the big agenda. But inside the community, we have our own issues of transtrenders vs. actual transsexuals, TERFs vs. trans people, BDSM at Pride, asexual inclusion vs. asexual exclusion, the evergrowing Tumblr pedophile community trying to include themselves in LGBT, the issue of radical feminists, biphobia and panphobia, the MOGAI bullshit, the flag controversy, and much much more.

All in all, this could’ve been avoided if the Site and Admins had just said “Happy Pride Month”, used the non-controversial flag, and moved on with their lives. They don’t make such a big deal out of things like Breast Cancer Awareness Month or Child Adoption Month or Autism Awareness Month, and I get Pride is a little different and calls for minor adjustments and a bit of open expression. But there’s a limit to how much you should express and the way you express it, as is the way with anything. Don’t try to police people in a community based on your personal beliefs because guess what? Not everyone is going to agree with you. That’s fine, just learn to be respectful of it and talk it out, or just ignore it.

But I have to thank you, anon! Your childish hate mail just proves my point on how bad the community has gotten, so much so that it feels the need to attack anyone who has a different opinion than yours or criticizes you at all. Kind of ironic because the SCP Foundation was essentially built on sharing and respecting different opinions and critiquing each other to help improve the community. So thanks for proving my point! :D

I aired this live-stream last night in regards to the whole barrage of issues striking the SCP Foundation community. I dug up what I could, reopened old wounds, and tried to explain all of the issues to the best of my abilities to my viewers, and even then, I’m sure I missed some things. Regardless, we discussed what was happening based on the evidence we could find and recall, and our personal opinions on the matter. All visuals in the video are uncensored because 1) it’s a live-stream, 2) all of it is or was made publicly available. It was not my intention to call anyone out (although I’m sure some will disagree), and any explicit mention of names was for clarification and background information on the topic. 

At the end of the day, this does not affect my channel’s standing with the idea of the SCP Foundation itself. It is something that has a special place in my heart, that I will always love and cherish, and that I have created many characters for which I am passionate about and will not be dissolving in light of all this conflict. I will continue to be an active fan of the Foundation, although I refuse to align myself with the community as a whole, and I will not be acknowledging Series IV. I will also not be acknowleding members or staff who I, and many others feel, played a role in allowing the community to fall this far. I’m sticking to the original canon Foundation that I fell in love with. That being said, please be aware that the expressed emotions in this video from myself and others may contain opinions that you disagree or things you don’t personally believe in. Which is completely fine. Be mature and respect an opinion, even if you don’t agree with it. Be mature and also refrain from attacking people in the comments, reblogs, or in their ask box.

After finding out some absolutely horrifying news, there has to be some lines drawn in the sand for me about the future of what once was my favorite community. It’s become about as problematic as ordinary Tumblr has. And don’t get me wrong, there are some fantastic people still here and still trying to make it work, but I fear now it will never be the same.

Just wanted to reblog this here and remind everyone that abuse isn’t always black and white. Sometimes there’s more to a story, but we’re blinded by the initial the claims. Never be afraid to dig up evidence and inquire about the incidence. Please always remember to look for answers before an innocent man or woman is thrown under the bus.

And please if you can, show @/themoonandaddiction some love and support. They’re going through a tough time with this and they could really use the kind words.

So just for clarification, @/themoonandaddiction is NOT abusive, an abuser, a stalker, and he is not harassing anyone. He is a pure human bean being falsely accused by ACTUALLY toxic and abusive people.

Actually that’s exactly what I did because the claims are literally pure bullshit fresh from the cow. And I will show you why.

You’ve all seen the post made by @/mocha-bitch claiming that my friend is an abuser but you don’t know that her claims that she has evidence are completely false. Both me and my friend (we’ll call her Birb) contacted her asking for proof and she gave us none. Birb didn’t give me screenshots so allow me to indulge you in mine.

Off to a great start. Asking for proof, telling my position, confirming to her I’m not stupid - seems great right? Wrong.

Psychological studies and overall observation has shown parents tend to side with their children more than others. If someone, specifically another child, makes a claim and their child backs it up parents are more likely to believe it and side with it. Also who just tells their friend’s parents this shit?

Also, is she implying that after Natalie moved she just dropped all communication with her friends in Florida? Like didn’t even try to stay up to date with them? Shows what kind of friend she is, huh?

Also I love how asking for evidence of “””abuse””” is considered threatening and slutshaming. At least by this tucute’s logic it is.

She cheated on her boyfriend and sent another guy nudes online where he then posted the for the world to see. She didn’t have to do that. Emergency services exist solely for that reason - emergencies. She chose to do that and then didn’t even report that someone had posted her nudes online. Not to mention the 10 year sentence she automatically could get for possession of child porn. What a dumbass.

Also, sending nudes to some other while dating someone is still cheating. Sorry, I don’t make the rules.

But after this I was blocked as she continued harassing him. Which is ironic because she claimed he was the stalker and harassed but the got a posse to do this.
