Okay so I actually basically finished a full body drawing of my version of MJ like a day or two ago, but I’ve been out of the house p much the entire time since, and I decided to turn it into a full character profile lol. So for now, have a headshot (might make some minor changes)

my general position on public nuisance is "you should do your best not to irritate or inconvenience other people unless there's a good reason" and then litigate the "good reason" on a case by case basis. i think that's the best anyone can do. the definition of "good reason" varies wildly depending on context, your background, culture generally, what data you have as a participant or a bystander, and local laws, and all three of these things are relevant factors

for example it really does lower my level of reactive, irritable stress with my neighbors to know their names and general schedules. i don't know why but it really does bother you less if Kyle Upstairs is having a party a little too late and you can hear Bulletproof through the ceiling, as opposed to if you're on year three of living underneath some anonymous fuckhead you want to kill. it's like oh Kyle's cousin is visiting and they're just chilling out maybe they lost track of the time. this makes all the difference. as usual the best advice is to form community with the people around you no matter what, even if you are entirely self-interested it will benefit you in the end. well that's all I got

okay but if you ever see a male creative who had a string of great work and then everything else he did was dogshit, go to the "personal life" part of his wikipedia and look at his relationships. you'll either find a major tragedy he didn't recover from (completely understandable) or, more likely, there was a woman in his life doing uncredited shit editing his stuff or contributing generally and she's not there anymore.

I told a friend about this phenomenon in literature and he called me weeks later like, I remembered what you said about women doing uncredited work when tim burton came up. he made a string of bangers then everything else just was nowhere near as good. the timeline matches perfectly to when he was with this german visual artist (lena gieseke). he's done some good work in collaboration, but if things were dug into I suspect we would find she did a lot more than people realise.

so yeah whenever you look around like wow women didn't work in history, or, women aren't auteurs, or, there just aren't as many great female writers - societal reasons for that aside, half the time they absolutely did.

Decided to make an age progression of my version of Peter. I used references from USM, the MCU, and YFNSM, plus a tad bit of one of the older comics

I didn’t feel like labeling the ages, but he’s in about 3 as a toddler, 7 in the second one, 8 in the third one, and 10 in the last one. Don’t be fooled by his appearance, he had a great time (and met Harry)

I’ll make more, but this is what I have so far. I’m also in the middle of making a comic of when he meets Harry (before everything gets blown up), so stay tuned for that!

There’s definitely a lot of room for improvement, but overall I’m really proud of it :>

His design is mainly based on Ultimate Spider-Man (the cartoon) because that was my shit as a kid, but I’ve pulled a few elements from other places (guess why he looks vaguely sickly)

Expect more stuff from this universe because oh boy is there a lot of lore in my head
