all day today I was doing an assignment on astronomical exercises where I had to make a star map of any object. I made a map of the open star cluster Beehive M44

I'm very tired, but I like the result and I want to print this and hang it above my desk

Does anyone else experience fandom envy? Not like "I wish I was in that fandom" but nostalgic envy? There are a lot of popular series I couldn't read as a kid or I joined a fandom late so I don't have a nostalgic tie to them and I wish I did. I wish I knew the stories inside and out from constantly rereading them. Or sometimes I read a series as an adult or late teen and thought "I would have loved this as a kid", but I don't because I'm older and my reading taste has changed. I wish I had the chance to experience the stories with child-like wonder and obsession.

I started my first drawing with colored pencils. I decided to redraw my photo from Etretat 🎨🏞

I accidentally saw how beautiful the moon is today and decided to go out to the terrace to take some astrophotos

I bought colored pencils and a notebook with a dragon! recently I got inspired to draw with pencils and decided to buy them

and I also started having some kind of obsession with dragons again, I want to read a lot of fantasy books with dragons and found new books with them, I started rewatching dragons race the edge, I want to draw dragons with these new pencils and this gives me such a good feeling. I’m really pleased that I like this topic and that I’m a fan of it. just this feeling of being a fan of dragons makes me feel pleasant and inspired. and even when I think that I’m going to draw different landscapes in this notebook, it’s as if I’m a viking from the island of berk who draws landscapes of her island, it’s cool. I don't even know how to explain this

my therapy lately is to go to bookstores to look for new books that I have never heard of before and take pictures of the ones that I like and add them to my tbr

yesterday I thought that the whole astronomy lesson would be spent making maps inside, but then the sky cleared and we went out to look through telescopes. we looked at the double star Mizar and Alcor and Mizar was also visible as two stars, then we looked at the Pleiades, the double star cluster in Perseus NGC 869 and NGC 884 and the owl cluster NGC 457.

and I even tried to somehow participate in all this, carefully watched how telescopes were assembled, asked what we were looking at now, how to measure, etc. and it really was more interesting than standing on the sidelines and not understanding what was happening. I even think maybe in the next lesson I’ll ask how to properly look for objects through a telescope and try to do it

and it also inspired me to take astrophotography again

I came to class and it turned out we had a day off because of easter and the university was closed, so I went shopping and bought the skirt I wanted, a globe and a new book

we went to the planetarium yesterday and were supposed to observe through this telescope, but unfortunately, the professor didn’t have access to the system, so we just looked at the telescope and went home. but at least it was interesting too
