Finished reading Carmilla! It’s really short, the audiobook is only 3 hours. If you’ve ever been interested in reading pre-Dracula vampire fiction, I recommend it. Dark, sapphic vibes. Great time 🥀🪦🩸

‘Tis the season… re-reading the Gustav Gloom series season…

I’ve been having a lot of fun in my illustrator era doing interpretations of characters from their book descriptions! I traditionally drop one (1) Gustav Gloom piece every year on Halloween but I made the executive decision to release her early this year.

Maybe there will be more, so look out for that >:)

Illustrations of Carrie White, based on the book by Stephen King

I both watched and read/listened to Carrie recently and had a grand ol’ time! I like the 1976 movie best, I feel like it tells the story with a level of intensity that wasn’t really captured in the book (at least the Sissy Spacek audiobook, I think it’s probably better in print), plus its aesthetic (read: Chris Hargensen’s gorgeous blow-out) is to die for. Just look at it! Great cinematography, too.

Happy Pride from accidental trans girl Princess Ozma! Her gender reveal and transition scenes in The Marvelous Land of Oz were depicted surprisingly progressively considering they were written by a presumed cishet man in 1904 🏳️‍⚧️
