1K posts
Welcome to my blog! I'll be posting mostly my drawings from my Deviantart account along with some shoops. I'm not an artist in any shape, but I still enjoy doing it.

I miss the days when DeviantArt lolcows were the most prevalent. Worst cases you'd find 90% of the time were rabid shippers, tracers, art thieves, and drama llamas. And they were fun to gawk at and taunt.
i’m gonna be real with you. I feel like lolcows aren’t as interesting as they once were. Most of the time you’re either Chris-Chan or some criminal to ever be noteworthy. Like most artcows nowadays don’t even have much potential. Like for example, one on a certain fruit farming website, the “SJW art” thread, while I do think those art circles have their own set of problems (such as racism towards Asians), I don’t think these artists have that much juicy details to have them qualify as full-fledged lolcows. Even if there was a “second coming” of Dobson (wether it be Dobson himself or someone who has Dobson energy) it still wouldn’t make a big of an impact.
I could go on and on, but I’ll stop here. I wanna know what you think.
Honestly, I don’t even think there’s many lolcows in general that are as interesting to follow these days. Before people were mainly considered “lolcows” for being bizarre but mostly harmless weirdos online that you could see them say or do a thing and be entertained. Nowadays, not only has the term “lolcow” kinda just become “person online I don’t like”, a lot of lol owe are considered such because of just how extreme/degenerate/offensive/ect they are. Even Chris-chan eventually became something like that.
But I do think you’re right. The internet has been around too long for a person like Dobson to be seen as a lolcow these days. If someone similar popped up, they’d probably just be seen as an average social media addict or something.

I mentioned in this post how Wilford secretly likes playing Animal Crossing in his downtime. I took screenshots of my Wilford design last August but completely forgot about them up until now.

The interesting thing about that last part is that stereotypes don't pop out of nothing. They came to exist from perception. Just means that some people in the group are like that; not all.
As an autistic that's one of the hardest parts of the perception of autism. I blame the fact that it's such a large spectrum.
”autistic people don’t do [ extremely common higher support need , higher level autistic trait / symptom ] , that just stereotype”
you need include us too : you need include childish autistic person , you need include nonverbal autistic person , you need include autistic person who drool , you need include autistic people with intellectual disability , you need include autistic person with loud messy public meltdowns .
can not hide behind “it just stereotype” because that not true . there are many people very disabled by autism , you need remember us and include us .

Vibe coding aka AI has come for programming
fml they legit have a name for it.
I'm all for using AI to help debug or answer code questions that the documentation comes short on, or even a substitute for Google search since that's gone down hill. This though, this concerns me.
What really worries me is that AI is prone to mistakes; mistakes that sometimes don't get caught without a keen eye that also sneak through the compiler. I'm afraid that people will start vibe coding without bothering trying to figure out what the code actually does. This could be dangerous depending on the software.
Add on the possibility of the AI's programming knowledge via scraping the internet being incestuous (learning from code that was also written by AI).

I miss his shenanigans honestly. It was like a cringe tsunami you couldn't look away from. You don't find that kind of lolcow any more these days that doesn't end up being a horrorcow.
I hate that I only learned of dobson after he disappeared. Makes me feel like I'm just hating for hating sake. I kind of wish I could've actually experienced the nonsense in real time tbh
It was kinda exhausting at times, tbh. Especially when he was arguing with people on here/Facebook about his stupid or shit takes.
It could also be pretty entertaining at times too though, so i understand the desire.

Going public is 90% a death sentence for so many companies. I can't think of a single instance of a company that went public that didn't go downhill if not out of business outright.
Remember when I told ya'll last month to be ready to start looking for a Discord alternative?

Yeah things aren't looking good for discord.

Update on my bead pattern mobile app.
I fully expected the circular peyote grids to give me problems implementing them; I hadn't expected the right angle weave grid to give me as many problems as it has. I've put more time into that one grid than peyote, square, and brick combined.

So quite a while ago I saw @capturecharlesau reblog a headcanon generator. It inspired me to draw random headcanons that come up for THSC characters in my spare time.

I love the second to last one with Charles. A lot of people (me included) tend to forget that he's part of the military for a reason.

Progress update: stuff
I've been pretty quiet lately because I've been slowly working on an android app of my own outside of work. Still a long way to go before it's finished, but baby steps.
It's an app where you can make custom beading patterns easily with mobile UI in mind. The only other one I've seen on the android store was this really old one with only two stars because they hide 90% of the features behind a paywall while calling it a free app.
While I like using the Beadographer website it has its limits and is designed for computers in mind rather than touch screens. Trying to use it on a phone can be a bit annoying.
Right now I have a basic grid set up for square stitch and loom stitch with the ability to select colors, color/clear beads on tap, add rows/columns, and pan/zoom in using two finger touch. I plan on adding more features including the following:
Drag your finger over several beads to color them at once rather than have to tap them individually.
Templates for several styles including peyote, brick, herringbone, right angle weave, different circular peyote stitches, and others.
Auto save patterns in progress.
Can store multiple patterns.
Create and save custom colors to use between projects.
Tools like undo/redo, rotate the canvas, select and drag, color picker, image import, and mirror.
Export patterns as png files.
Available different kinds of beads (toho, miyuki, etc)
I know this isn't most peoples' cup of tea but I'm really excited to try and complete this, and maybe even get it on the app store :D
My biggest worry is how I'm going to handle the circular peyote patterns since they don't conform to grids as easily as other styles would due to increases. The rest seems easy enough albeit long and tedious to develop and test for everything.
