Modular Mayhem III is a journey into modular synthesis with a wide variety of colourful and sonic soundscapes and patches.

Modular synthesis is a versatile approach to sound creation that offers a wide range of patching capabilities and a diverse array of modules. With modular synthesis, users have the freedom to connect and patch together various modules to create unique and complex soundscapes.

Modules in modular synthesis can include oscillators, which generate the fundamental sound waveforms, filters that shape the frequency content of the sound, envelopes that control the dynamics and shape of the sound over time, and effects modules that add texture and spatialization. Additionally, there are modules for modulation, such as LFOs (Low-Frequency Oscillators), which can modulate parameters like pitch, filter cutoff, or amplitude, adding movement and variation to the sound.

The patching capabilities of modular synthesis allow for endless possibilities in sound design. Users can connect modules in different ways, using patch cables to route audio signals, control voltages, and modulation sources. This flexibility enables the creation of complex and evolving sounds, as well as the exploration of unconventional and experimental sonic territories.

Whether you're a musician, sound designer, or electronic enthusiast, modular synthesis offers a hands-on and creative approach to sound generation, allowing for endless experimentation and the creation of truly unique and personalized sounds.

The album is completely Tri-Phase ready as it contains beautiful stereo patterns, also known as lissajous patterns, which is a beautiful sight to behold on an oscilloscope.
